Vampyres vs Slayers

Artemis knew what a crusnik was, she didn't care. Or she didn't show it. She knew the best defence was to pretend she wasn't scared. That way her enemies would see her as more of a threat.

Miral and Desmond had not raced, but leisurely floated their way to the club, holding hands along the way. "Can't wait to see this place. Wonder what types of blood they have there?" Desmond commented. "Probably bottled," Miral sniffed. "I don't prefer it, but since we just had our fill, I don't think I'll need it." "Well, at least we might meet people. I know you're a soical butterfly." Desmond replied. "Just don't go off getting any guys." he added, winking playfully.

They reached their destination after a while, and they floated back to ground before walking in. It was a tight fit; standing room was scarce, and sitting room was virtually nonexistent besides the few barstools at the bar. Desmond, being a little claustrophobic, grimaced. "I didn't expect this...but hey. There aren't that many vampyre clubs around, are there?" he said, chuckling nervously. Miral, however, loved the crowd. They looked around simultaneously. There was some ruckus scattered around the room, which Miral decided they would not partake in. "C'mon, Mimi(He had that particular pet name for her), why can't I get in a little tussle?" Desmond asked hopefully. "Because I don't want to have to carry you back to our home after being torn apart by another vampyre. I may be stronger now, but it doesn't mean I'm going to haul your carcass back to Raleigh." Miral said, setting her jaw. "Oh, I hate it when you do that..." Desmond sighed. "But it's sooo irresistable." he added, smirking. Miral blushed. "Thanks." With that, they explored the club.

IC: Cabe

"Ignorance...how refreshing."

He began to approach the two, his white eyes fixated upon Artemis.

"Come now, I'm done with this game. Come here, girl."

IC: Jack

Jack halted at the entrance to the alley.

"We know what she smells like..."

"It's overpowering though; it hurts my nose."

He sniffed the air and slowly entered the alleyway, keeping his senses ready for anything.

As she ran, Nera wasn't paying attention much. She just wanted to get the hell out of there. So she didn't notice the werewolf sniffing the alley in front of her. She saw him go into it and covered her mouth, so she couldn't scream again. No need for her to attract any more....creatures.

She moved slowly backwards, praying she would not be caught.

Felix smirked. He'd allow the predator to be overconfident. That meant he'd be sloppy and easier to deal with. Within the blink of an eye, the bounty hunter had dug into his pouch and threw his shuriken at his enemy.

Come on, little mouse. Take the bait.

Kami shifted eversoslightly, impatient to strike.

Finally, there he was. He was moving to slowly and being too careful for her to wait until the perfect moment, so instead she simply flung herself at him as soon as he entered into her view.

One arm wrapped around his neck, while the other moved to slam the dagger hard into his left shoulder.

She didn't want to kill him, but simply come out on top.

IC: Jack

"There she is!"

Jack felt Kami's arm tighten around him and then the rough pain of the knife. The knife struck his shoulder and stuck in where Kami had pinned it, but it moved no further as before. Jack wielded around and leapt at Kami, pinning her to the ground with a roar. The claws on his hands extended and they shot across the top of Kami's neck.

Jack growled down at her, pressing his claws against her neck. Then, with predatory instinct, he sunk his fangs into Kami's shoulder, leaving a bloody mark before leaping back. His claws descended back into his fingers and he lifted his hands so he was squatting instead of on all fours.

"I'm the Alpha-Male around here girl."

IC: Cabe

As the shuriken drew closer, whips of what looked like blood sprouted from Cabe's chest. They struck the shuriken dead on, causing them to careen off course and stab into the far wall. The blood whips quickly sank back into Cabe's chest, who simply kept walking towards them as if nothing had happened.

"I think I remember it tasting sweet," he said, "...hybrid blood."

Kami whimpered softly as she placed a hand on the bite and rolled over onto her stomach. She pushed herself up with her free hand and glared at the one who called himself Alpha-Male.

"There's only one Alpha," she growled. "And it's not you."

However, she didn't press the attack, but simply sat down and traced her hand over the bite marks one more time before feeling the wounds on her neck.

She would submit to him for now, but he wasn't Alpha to her--no matter what he did or said.

IC: Jack

Jack hopped over next to Kami, inspecting the wound on her shoulder.

"I only meant to nick you; I forgot your skin isn't as strong as mine."

He tilted his head at her, keeping his squatted form steady with his hands resting in between his feet.

"So girl, you got a name?"

A crash from the alley entrance caused him to turn with a roar, flexing his fangs.

"Another girl?"

"Human."

Nera had moved enough away from the alley that they couldn't see her, when her legs finally gave. She crashed to the ground and tried to calm down. No way those things could be real. She was dreaming or seeing things or something. It wasn't real.

"It's not real," she muttered, trying to make herself believe it.

Nera closed her eyes, willing the image of the two in the alley to go away. She knew if they were real, she was as good as dead. But Nera wasn't allowing herself to accept the fact thye were here. She didn't want to believe it.

"Please don't be real," she said softly, opening her eyes to see they were still there.

(Kami couldn't see Nera where she was at, and I thought that she hadn't actually stepped inside. Sorry.)

"Hmph," Kami grunted. Her silver eyes fell to the ground and she felt tempted to run for it again, but something kept her there, stopping her before she could even begin to move.

Even if she didn't accept him for her Alpha, he had bested her, and that was enough for the laws of the Pack.

But then, before she could even begin to answer a newcomer crashed their party of two.

What's this? Do we have a visitor?

IC: Jack

"She is human, have to act natural."

"She already saw you two."

"Doesn't mean I can't lie."

Jack quicky stood on two feet, walking carefully to the entrance of the alley.

"Um...girl, are you alright? You're acting kind of funny."

Felix frowned before slashing at the crushnik. Whatever power he had, he hoped holy water would counteract it.

Artemis smiled. She let her wings whip out through slits in her shirt. "you wouldn't be able to catch me." she pointed out. "I could fly out of here right now and I would never see your stupid mug again."

Nera looked up and blinked. Standing before her was a normal human. Not a creature like she saw.

"I saw these...things...they were....I don't understand...the things..." Nera trailed off. She was beginning to sound crazy. Shaking her head, she attempted a normal smile. "I thought I saw something. Must be my fear making things up."

(Actually she ran to the entrance and went kind of in, back up some and fell near the entrance.)

IC: Jack

Jack smiled and reached down to help the girl to her feet.

"The night makes people think all kinds of things. I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard a noise behind me; it turns out it was just a stray cat. Are you alright now?"

"That was too close."

IC: Cabe

It was as if time itself slowed as Cabe ducked underneath Felix's slash, and was gone from sight. A hand rested upon Artemis's shoulder, and someone was suddenly standing directly behind her.

"Caught you," whispered Cabe.

His grip tightened upon her shoulder.

"A Vampyre that must rely on weapons," Cabe said to Felix, "is a weak one. You're in over your head boy. And you, girl..."

He forced Artemis to the ground and took hold of her wings.

"You brought up a good point. So, I'm going to tear these wings from your back."

Nera took his hand and nodded. She felt better. It wasn't real after all. Just her imagination. And the guy didn't seem to think she was crazy either, which was a plus.

"I'll be fine. Thanks." She smiled at him, blushing slightly. "I'm Nera by the way."

Oh, yeah. Just ignore me.

Kami climbed to her feet, hissing softly at the pain. Already the cuts on her throat had stopped bleeding, but the bite still hurt like heck.

Not that I care if he cares that I'm hurt. I don't care about no one. Only me.

She walked towards the werewolf and the girl, oblvious to the blood staining her clothing. "What's this?" she asked as she placed an elbow on her foe's shoulder and leaned against him like they were old friends.

"Don't you know that it's dangerous to go wandering around at night?" Kami asked the girl.

Finally finished my character. Sorry it took so long. And I didn't make a Vampire after all

Age: Chronologically he’s 450, biologically he’s 27 and mentally he’s everywhere in-between
Appearance: He’s only slightly taller than average, with a fairly pale complexion. His upper body and some parts of his lower is covered in dull-red and black tattoos depicting enchantments, powerful sign, useful sigils and other such things. The most major parts of the extensive tattoo is the Illuminati ambigram high on his back, the different pentagrams and pentacles at the back of his hands and in their palms, an eight-pointed star dominating the right side of his chest and the Theban word for “future” over his left eye.
He dresses in an old-fashioned style, black dress pants with a brown leather belt, high riding boots and a light white shirt that he keeps unbuttoned at the top and never tucked into his pants. Over this is a brown Victorian overcoat which flutters even when there’s no wind. He sometimes wears a blue-ish, grey hat with a wide brim, a crooked point and a leather strap with a stylish buckle. Can more often than not be seen with ear-plug speakers and nodding his head gently in tune with the song.
Backround/Personality: Long ago, during the medieval ages, a secret war was waged between the forces of the night. The Warlocks were magicians and scientists, striving to know all and thereby control it. As they grew in power, the Vampires grew aware of this new threat to their supremacy and initiated genocide. It was not hard for the vampires to gather under one banner when such bloodshed was promised.
The sudden attack by the Vampires took the Warlock unawares and they were pushed back despite their might. Faced with extinction, the survivors fled to their last stronghold, the Inevitable Library. It was considered a safe haven, protected as it was by the strongest magic and its location just outside of our own dimension. But they knew this was no future, hiding in their empty halls.
So they sent scouts out to see what the vampires planned. Horrified they returned with news that the Nosferatu’s most powerful magicians were working on a way to break into the Inevitable Library, using one of the Warlocks’ own Magical items captured in their hasty retreat.
“The Seven, The Three and The One”, Eldest of the warlocks, decided on a plan. Their hope would be the future, not the present. So they sealed a baby boy, an orphan of the war, in a great mausoleum in the depths of the Inevitable Library. To him they gave all their knowledge, and all their power. He was to be their last heir, their only hope. For all the rest were needed in the attack on the Vampire stronghold, the Necropolis Nazzigrah. Their suicidal charge and the battle that ensured turned the necropolis to rubble and dust, taking with it a full half of its citizens and most importantly: destroying the artifact that could grant the Nosferatu entrance to the Inevitable Library, Solomon’s Lesser Key.

This was a long time ago, and during that time the last warlock has slept in suspended animation. Though he has not been inactive. While he lay in the tomb, the Elder’s enchantments gave his growing limbs strength and quickness beyond the scope of man. His mind was flooded with the knowledge gathered by the Warlocks. His very soul was opened to the winds of Magic, granting him extraordinary capabilities once the process was complete.
Then one day, the great stone lid was pushed aside. A figure stepped out, seeped in ancient lore and lost magic arts. A terrible Avenger to wreck havoc on the unsuspecting Medians. A last descendant to rebuild the glories of the past. If he can figure out which way is up in this new and strange world.
Weapons/Abilities: He has access to the entire arsenal of the Warlocks. Books and tomes on every subject and magical weapons such as the fabled Excalibur or the hammer Mjolnir.
Since he’s the very last of the Warlocks, he’s also inherited the 11 Titles of the Elders. Each title is a enchantment woven into the fabric of reality, granting its bearer great power if he has the willpower to master it.
Lastly the enchantments given to him while he was in suspended animation gives him a strength and speed that is far superior to humans and might even be equal to some of the lesser vampires.
Extra: Is captivated with modern technology, since that’s one of the few things he wasn’t taught while slumbering.

Nera looked nervously at the girl. She had blood on her clothes. It confused the heck out of her, but she didn't start talking about monsters.

"Are you ok," she asked the girl.

"I'm perfectly fine," Kami answered back with a smile.

What is she staring at? Do I look funny or something? Suddenly sprout a beard? A tree grow in my hair? Some ketchup on my face?

"Are you? No broken bones or anything?"

As if I care...

"No I'm fine," she said again, not liking this girl at all. "But I think I'm a little lost," she admitted. When she ran off, she didn't pay attention to what streets she went on. So Nera wasn't sure where she was or which way was home.

IC: Jack

Jack's eyes widened slightly as he caught sight of the blood that stained the corner of Kami's shirt. He quickly stepped in front of her, shielding her from view from Nera.

"Um...Nera, right? Well, we'd be happy to help you find your way back. Pretty girls shouldn't be walking around at night anyway."

"She has blood on her shirt."

"I know."

"The girl saw it."

"I'm still lieing."
