Dealing with this girl is bad enough... She thought as she looked over at Nera. What were they going to do with this girl? Could she trust the human to keep her word? Or would Nera blurt out what they were to the rest of the world?

With a growl Jack turned on his foot and smashed his fist into Tristan's face. He looked surprised with himself, stepping back and rubbing his fist with his free hand.
"Why the hell did I do that?"
"Sorry," he said, "...it was an accident."
He turned his head toward Nera.
"We're going to take you home. And you're going to keep your mouth closed about what happened tonight."
He looked over at Tristan with narrowed eyes.

Tristan turned his head as Jack punched him and his cheek turned deep red. He rubbed it with his palm.
"Sure it was." Tristan said with a half-growl. "I know that i should go, but if you guys are so unsure if she will mention anything about us, why don't you let me stay by her house tonight. I'll just be in surveillance." Tristan waited for a reply. | |
