| Tristan walked along the streets of an unknown neighbor hood, a backpack being lugged. He just entered from another city and started exploring the new neighbor hood when he got a scent, of about four people, well, not people, two werewolves, a human, and...a vampire.
Tristan thought there would be some trouble, so he used his speed and rushed through trees and bushes in various yards to get to the location. Tristan made sure he was swift. If any human heard him, they would probably have thought it was just the wind. He came up behind the vampire.
"Is there anything wrong?" Tristan asked trying to sound like a regular human.

| Hailee was about to let the three go, when Tristan came up behind them. She looked at the two werewolves and the human girl and then to the boy.
"You can have her. I guess you aren't mental. If she's yours to have, then take her." Then Hailee turned to Tristan and smiled. "Nothing is wrong."

| "You guys should go now, many strange things happens at night." Tristan said to the girl and then to the other three people. He gave Hailee a penetrating stare. | |

| The cool breeze drifted through the city, speaking softly of a dawn quickly approaching. With thin tendrils of chill air it opened the window’s locks and it swung outwards on soundless hinges. The breeze drifted in through the now open window and seemed to linger there for a second before it vanished and was replaced by a man in a Victorian overcoat and a pointy hat. Slowly, as if drifting through some thick-flowing liquid, Amon fell to the floor. His boots made no sound as the gently placed themselves on the hard wood. From deep within his brown coat, his hand emerged with a round object glimmering of polished brass. He flipped open the decorated lid and stared down at the Veritameter. It was not unlike a clock in appearance, though it possessed seven short arms and three longer which slowly moved about the face of the “clock” in seemingly random and unrelated patterns. The face itself also held three moving ring-faces depicting numbers and symbols, in addition to the outermost stationary ring. “You are right again, dear friend,” he muttered softly to the shimmering device before jamming it into a hidden pocket of the coat and taking in the room with new eyes. There were two humanoid shapes laying in the fairly neat, though a bit messy apartment, one on the couch and the other in a moderately comfortable-looking bed. On soundless feet he paced up to the couch and took a long look at the female form lying upon it. She seemed 20-ish, but you never knew with her kind. On some unknown impulse, Amon held his breath and leaned closer to her still face. He studied her traits carefully, looking for some seemingly delicate detail he knew was there. His eyes grew larger and he took a step back as he found what he was looking for. A halfbreed… Quite the rarity… I should intoxicate her and bring her to the Library for studies… No, it would be meaningless. Even if she’s only half a vampire, she’s still the enemy I wager… He turned away from the girl on the couch and started towards the bed. Again his boots made no sound against the hard wood floor, for that was the spell he had cast on them.
((If there was any doubt: Yes, he’s with Felix and Artemis in Felix’s apartment))

| ((no doubt from me )) Artemis was peaceful, a bit of her hair fluttered in her face from her long breathes. She was dreaming peacefully, she dreamed she was floating in the cool summer night air, floating high above towns and cities, without a care. She felt her throat was dry, she needed some water. She woke up, her eyes opening as large purple orbs. "Man I'm thirsty." She whispered to herself quietly, she didn't notice the man behind her as she sat there and rubbed her eyes sleepily. ((get it? thirsty? I love vampire word play.)) | |

| Felix felt his eyes drift open. Like many Vampyres, he often had a sense of when something was wrong. He rose from his bed and drew his katana, bring it against a human's neck in less than a second. He spoke, "It is unwise to enter a Vampyre's lair uninvited, human." | |

| Artemis turned around. "Felix, let him go, if you show him a bit of mercy, perhaps he will do the same and leave. You don't want to worsen his impression of vampires, which is already a very poor impression indeed." She said. "By the way, where's the kitchen in this place?" | |

| “Vampire? You? Heh, how quaint,” the magician said, his voice dripping venom. “The race has surely fallen far, if you consider yourself a full fletched Vampire!” He reached out for the Source and opened himself to the winds of magic, feeling them flowing through him. With the right sigil tattooed on his arm and his own will, he shaped the winds into purpose and guided them through himself. With a wry smile and a gentle touch from the tip of his finger, the seemingly solid blade shimmered before collapsing into a fine, sword-shaped mist. The pathetic Median only seemed comical now that he stood brandishing the bladeless hilt. “No, you’re but the bastard offspring of an inbred mongrel. Even Vampires will be glad when I extinguish your pitiful existence and throw your corpse ad undas,” he said forcefully right before he spun around a full 360 degrees and went down to one knee. His right hand formed the Sign of Ærde as the pentacle in his palm glowed bright blue. Half a moment later the psychokinetic spell lashed out at the vampire’s abdomen.
(Note: “ad undas” is a Latin idiom which means “to the waves” and is used in a similar manner to the idiom “crash and burn”. In this case Amon uses it as a reference to vampires’ weakness to moving water. And yes, he does enjoy insulting anything with fangs.)

| Felix dodged to the side, raising an eyebrow at the man's spells. 'A warlock?' he asked himself, 'I thought they were all extinct.' He spoke, "I should really get my weapons enchanted..." With that said, he threw a volley of shurikens and knives at the warlock. | |

| “HA! So you can’t even protect your possessions with the Unholy Dominion,” he shouted with cruel mirth as he spun away from the projectiles and blasted the ones he couldn’t dodge with another psychokinetic blast. “I thank you, Necrarch. At first I believed my quest all but impossible, but thanks to you the annihilation of your kind seems all too doable.” He smiled viciously and made a mocking bow, though never taking his condescending eyes off the creature.
(Note: Necrarch means “living corpse”)

| "It's not that I can't. It's that it never seemed needed," Felix told the warlock in annoyance from behind him, "I manage to kill who I want anyway." He smirked to himself and drew a silver dagger he had on his person. This one would give the warlock a nasty surprise. With that said, he stabbed at the boy's neck. | |

| As the Median lunged forward to strike at his neck, so did Amon jump forward to meet him, avoiding the dagger by getting within its arc. They crashed together and the spell on his lips was suddenly forgotten as his head crashed into the vampire’s. Momentarily blinded by the impact and resulting dizziness, Amon side-stepped and jumped back, cradling his temple with a steady hand. Not my finest hour… “Luck saved you this time, freak,” he said with what he hoped was a steady voice. With his free hand the sorcerer made a off-hand gesture towards the vampire, commanding invisible forces to fling the couch in that direction. | |

| Felix grunted as he felt his head ache and his body thrust against the wall. Luckily, his feet collided with the wall and he was able to use it to jump beside Amon. He shook his head, "Luck? How about stupidity? Do you even know how to fight?" With that said, he threw another barrage of projectiles at the Warlock, adding some of his speed to his hands so that they moved faster than was natural. | |

| “Oh, you’re fighting? THIS is you fighting?!” As he talked, his hand matched the speed of the vampire’s. His outstretched hand quickly formed the Sing of Sedr and the spell’s effect took immediate effect, stopping the knives and shurikens just as they were about to pass the his hand. For a second the thrown weapons hung in the air like they were stuck into an invisible wall but at motion from the Warlock, they spun around and aimed themselves at their owner. Amon smiled thinly before propelling the projectiles in quick succession. | |

| Felix smiled as he dodged from side to side, evading his own projectiles. He shook his head. A warlock was tough, even for a Vampyre, but this one was arrogant. He could be tricked. He wondered what his blood tasted like. With that thought, he moved to the boy's side before slashing at him with a silver knife, aiming first for his shoulder. | |

| "Quit it now! It's just rude to come into a home and fight for no reason!" Artemis said, she then whispered an 'Our Father' prayer and placed her middle and ring finger against her temple, concentrating on a large book, imagining it hitting the assailant, and the book floated up before flying towards his head. She only meant to knock him out, long enough to leave. | |

| With an enduring sigh, Amon formed the Sign of Sedr with both hands and pointed one at the knife-wielding Vampire and the other at the incoming book. The book halted in mid-air and stayed there obediently, while the Vampire was frozen in place as if the air around him had spontaneously turned to iron. The Warlock smiled thinly as he saw how close the sliver dagger was to his shoulder. “This is not fighting, you fools,” he said as he stood in the middle of the room, still as a statue. “This is research. You are lab rats.” One hand quickly changed into the Sign of Ærde and blasted the book back towards the half-spawn. | |

| Artemis made the book drop to the floor. "And I thought of being nice to you, have you no heart? And preying on other people (Yes we are people for your information) while they were sleeping? That's dispicable." She said, glaring at him, and sitting on the floor where the couch once was "I was sleeping on that couch, ya know." | |

| Felix grunted as he broke through the spell and nicked the warlock on the cheek with his silver dagger. He raised an eyebrow, "I've heard it all before. Honestly, can't Vampyre hunters come up with different witty banter?" | |

| He grinned viciously, as if he knew a wicked thing the Vampire didn’t. And he did.
A thin white mist rose from the both of them, revealing that there was more to the battle than blades and combatants. It was the warlock standing there, in his hand was the silver dagger. It shone softly in the weak light. It was the vampire whose cheek held a thin wound, crimson droplets oozing from it. They too glimmered gently. “Am I the one bantering?... Really?...” He grinned cruelly and tossed the dagger back to the vampire. “Try again.”

| Felix grinned in amusement as he took a flask from his pocket, "You are good, warlock. I'll give you that. But, without your magic, you're nothing but fodder." He flicked the flash at the boy, pouring water on him. He spoke, "There's a thing about holy water. When it meets magic, especially the kind with ill intent, things get messy." | |

| “Nothing’s wrong,” Kami growled at the newcomer, another werewolf. “Now would everybody just back off and leave me… us alone.” It was like she was holding a neon sign up, for all of the strangers that were here, and she didn’t like it. After all, she tried to avoid confrontations with the world.
“We’re just trying to get home.”
Home.
What a foreign word. | |

| Again the thin mist drifted in the still air, its white surface shimmering ever so slightly. Amon smiled knowingly as he tossed away the flask he had just used to pour all over the vampire. The two had changed again, and it was the vampire who was drenched in the holy water. Fool, the real spell was an illusion that made you believe we had changed places when we hadn’t! “And what about you, wretched scum? You’re but a dead body held together by necromantic energies. Even now the holy water must be burning away those unholy powers that keep you standing.” He stood watching, his hands in the pockets of his jacket and his face bearing a barely amused expression. | |

| (Okay, I think you're starting to godmode, Ghostmaker) Felix grimaced in pain as he felt the holy water burn him. It felt like his skin was on fire. He rolled his eyes, "Like this hasn't happened to me before? Just need a blood-bath. And please note that I'm very much alive. | |
