Vampyres vs Slayers

Artemis threw her dagger towards his face. If it didn't hit him, he'd at least back off long enough for her to get up and run. She tried to flap her wings frantically so that when he did back off, she could take off from the ground instantly.

"Hey!" Kami grumbled as she suddenly found herself cut off from the girl.

What's his problem?

"Yes, we'd love to help you," she said as she attempted to step back around the other werewolf. She didn't really want to help out the girl, but she wasn't about to let this boy walk all over her.

(OOC: Accepted.)
Felix growled at his enemy's accusation. He spoke, "I do not depend on weapons." With that said, he leapt forward faster than a mortal could blink and aimed a punch at Cabe.

Nera nodded and blushed at the pretty girl comment. She didn't let herself wonder why these two were alone in an alley at night. Nera had let her curiousity get ahold of her once. She wouldn't let it happen again.

"Ok thanks. I live on Perspoct Street."

IC: Cabe

Cabe was forced to release Artemis to avoid her knife, and turned to catch Felix's punch in his open palm.

"Did you not say it was illegal for Vampyres to kill their own kind? So, you're a criminal who attacks others like him. You are a hypocritical fool. Children should not be mercenaries. You're only going to get yourself hurt."

IC: Jack

"That's not too far from here," said Jack.

"She doesn't realize her wound put out blood."

"She should lick the damn thing."

"In public? What do you expect her to do? The teeth marks are very noticable too."

"He said eat their own kind." Artemis corrected. "That's you." She began moving her wings in powerful strokes, throwing one of her less valuable daggers at him, an picking up the silver one.

It was then, as Kami stepped back into view of the girl, that she realized what was wrong--her bite wound was still bleeding.

Is that the problem? But why is it a problem? That bit of blood is nothing...

"Shall we go?" she asked the other two, deciding to tag along for now. Who knew what interesting things would transpire on this trip, and she had been bored for far too long.

Well..., not bored. Just...

Numb.

Or so she had tried to be.

Nera nodded and waited for Jack to lead the way. She had no idea where to go after all.

"Stop!" Count Kinkel commanded, using a power he previously thought as useless to amplfy his voice, so that it boomed across the room. He glared at the Crusnik, and the other two Vampires fighting him.

"This is neutral territory, as decreed by the Council of Elders. As King of Vampires, I order all fighting to seize now. Even if that man is the Crusnik, that is no reason to try and fight him. It is useless to do, really. He is the bane of Vampires, as we are the banes of humans. He is more powerful then any of us can imagine. However...a spell has been implaced within this club. If any more fighting occurs, I will activate it. Any and all fights will be killed by the spell. I do know if it will work on him, but I'd be willing to find out." Kinkel threatened.

IC: Cabe

"Count Kinkel," said Cabe, releasing Felix's fist.

"It is a honor."

He approached the old appearing Vampyre, smirking.

"Very well; as you wish, My King. I wonder, if I attacked you, would everyone here help...or run?"

He turned to look around at the silent dancers.

"Oh how I despise Vampyres. You are so like Humans; you feast upon weaker creatures, but when one of your own becomes the prey, you find it grotesque."

He smiled.

"I am merely the step above in the chain. And you're my creatures to feast upon; it does not seem so strange to me."

IC: Jack

Jack kept himself between the two girls as he led the way. He wanted to keep Nera away from Kami; just to make sure she didn't notice the bite marks. One of two things would happen; either she'd freak and believe them to be monsters; or Jack would have a very ackward explanation that made his face go red just thinking about it.

"Why are you out so late on your own anyway, Nera?"

"Oh well my family was out, well expect for my mom," she began explaining, not noticing that Jack clearly put himself in the middle. "And I was bored at home. I went out for a while since I knew my mom was too busy watching tv. I like the night. It's quiet and easier to think."

Nera felt like a dork. She knew Jack was going to think that. That she was just some stupid, dorkish girl that thinks she sees monsters.

Felix frowned, sheathing his blade and putting away his shurikens for now. He looked over at the Crusnik. He made sense, in a twisted sort of way. He still wasn't going to lose to him.

What a jerk. Does he think that he needs to protect me from this girl or something?

Instead of fighting about it, Kami just simply stared at the ground and let out a soft sigh. Maybe this wasn't going to be as fun as she thought it was, with the way he kept silently trying to dictate what she did.

It wasn't his right to tell her what to do. She was her own person, wasn't she?

Artemis scowled. "This coming from a guy who just tried to eat me because he knew I was weaker then him. God-damned hypocrite, that's what he is." She snorted. "And I don't eat humans, I get donations from a blood bank." She grumbled as an after-thought.

"If you were to attack and, unlikely as it is, kill me, you would have the entire wrath of the Council of Elders upon you. We have Vampires have had to deal with you long enough. If you were to kill someone who is a member of the Council, then we would have no choice but to declare war upon you. Besides, even if you are a thousand years older than me, I am still much more powerful than you could ever believe. I have acquired the abilites of thousands of Vampires over the centuries. I am no mere Vampire. I am the King of my kind." Count Kinkel warned. He made no move to drop into a defense position, or attack the Crusnik.

Miral and Desmond heard the loud, booming voice of...the King of Vampyres?! Miral shrieked. "Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod! It's him! I thought I'd never see him in here!!!" Desmond chuckled. "My, you get excited over that? What about when I get you your favorite bottled blood? You don't shriek over that..." he said, despondent. "Oh, hush up. It's not every day you see the King of Vampyres in a lowly vamp club." Miral growled. "Have some enthusiasm, will you?" "How about "Hurray! Let us bow down to thy most holiest of unholy beings!" Or, wait, how about "Ohmygod! Our leader is in a vamp bar! Let me shriek as loud as possible to get his attention!"" Desmond said, imitating Miral's voice. Miral growled low under her breath. "Shut. Up. NOW." Miral said. Desmond chuckled. "That's why I like you, Miral. You have a low tolerance for teasing...." Desmond sighed. Miral smiled. "Yep, I do." she replied.

IC: Cabe

Cabe gave a low, amused chuckle, that caused to the Vampyres to step back.

"The Council? Know this..My King. I have existed for over three thousand years. I have killed leaders and elders, I have killed protegees and masters, and I shall..kill...you."

He turned his head towards Artemis and Felix.

"I'll be watching."

Cabe sank to the ground in a splash of blood, and he was gone.

IC: Jack

"You still shouldn't go out alone," said Jack.

"Not that there's anything to worry about; there's just...well...you could get lost."

He scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin.

"You're pathetic."

"Shut up."

That's it? That's all he's going to say on the matter?

Kami glanced over at the girl, Nera. "Do you believe in monsters?" she wanted to ask, but didn't with the werewolf there. Instead she tried a less direct approach.

"The outside world is a dangerous place to be, all alone in the world. You can't ever take anything for granted--not your family, not your safety, not even your own life. I would know, as I've been on my own since..." She swallowed, pushing the memories aside. "For as long as I can remember.

"Don't stray into the darkness, or the darkness might just swallow you up."

"Fly." Artemis instructed Felix in an extremeley low voice. She grabbed his hand and ran for the nearest exit. She planned to kick off from the ground and fly as soon as they got outside.

Felix nodded before following Artemis, rolling his eyes. Great. He was combatting a 3000 year old monster that even Vampyres were afraid of. He spoke, "You don't hunt humans? Why not?"

"Don't need to, Don't want to." She answered quickly, Bursting through the door, kicking off the ground. In two strokes of the wing she could be twenty feet above the bar.

Felix nodded before flying after the other Vampire. He spoke, "I perform a service to the world. I rid humanity of scum and get a good meal out of it. You know how great Hitler tasted?"

"I thought hitler commited suicide." She said. "And I'm guessing he tasted like the dirt, sweat, blood, and tears shed by millions of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, african americans, and countless others." She added bitterly.

"Which is why I fed on him," Felix replied with a shrug, "And the blood of the wicked tastes like sweet wine with honey. I guess it depends on the person. Me? I hate scum, which is why I'm the one that kills them."

She shrugged. "You think that guy will try to catch us? He seemed like a real nutcase." She observed, shouting over the night wind as her hair whipped around behind her.
