Katie

Katie glared at C.C., obviously annoyed with the Mage. But suddenly, out of the blue, Katie started to laugh as though something hilarious had just happened.
----------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle looked up at the sky as he bit his lip. He didn't want to answer Mab's question. But he had already made it so he'd have to... "During the sixth challenge of the competition, Tsuba, well she...we got intimate."
----------------------------
Kegan

"I suppose so. I don't she'll hurt us at this time of night though."

Rein

"True."

Rein walked along with Kegan until they finally returned to the inn. Slowly she opened the door to receive an open glare from Syrien and Brighe. Atiya was still asleep, thankfully.

"Well, nice that the two of you finally decided to join us." Syrien said, staring hard at the two of them.

Valen's smile instantly vanished. Out of all the people that he could have found here... It took him a moment to regain his composure, but still the smile did not return.

"Kill him." The demon's voice was full of hatred, absolutely drenched in it. The ferocity of his desire caused a tremor to run through the priest's body. Valen hid the movement with another, lifting his hands to his waist and clasping them together inside the large sleeves.

"Who are you, to see the future, and to see what is inside of me?" His gaze never left the old man as he spoke, but his words were calm. "I did what I had to. A young boy accidentally broke a seal holding him, and the only way I could get rid of the demon was to seal him inside."

Kegan/Brighe

"I'm disappointed Nephew." Brighe stated quietly.

Kegan shook his hands to show that they had gotten toys and supplies for Atiya. "We didn't do anything like that though. I mean...we did go one a date, but we didn't do that." Kegan quickly informed Brighe and Syrien before they did anything.

Rein, Syrien

"He's telling the truth. We didn't do anything." Rein affirmed, looking her guardian straight in the eyes. Syrien studied them both for a minute before nodding.

"They are telling the truth." Syrien said, soundly oddly impressed.

Brighe/Kegan

Brighe looked at her Nephew and Rein for a few seconds, impressed and relieved at the same time. "Very well then. I think we should all go to bed then, we have another long day tomorrow."

"....yeah." Kegan agreed as relief washed over him while Brighe walked to the other side of the room.

Rein

Rein walked over to the bed where Atiya was sleeping and gently moved the girl to the middle of the bed. She smiled at her daughter's sleeping form and kissed her on the forehead.

"I will keep watch." Syrien said to Brighe.

Brighe/Kegan

Brighe nodded in thanks before lying down on a small pallet in the corner of the room.

"...Well ok then." Kegan replied to Syrien before following Rein to bed, jumping in on the other side.

Rein

Rein got on the side opposite of Kegan and pulled the covers of them, making sure not to cover Atiya's head by accident. She leaned over and kissed Kegan on the cheek.

"Goodnight."

Faris

A cold breeze blew strongly through the caves. Bringing in the smell of rain in. Faris enjoyed the smell, the peace that it brought. And he needed peace right now, as he read over the news that the three imprisoned Heirs had all escaped from the Capital.

Unfortunately the Rebellion had no idea where any of the three were. But no doubt they would be glad to join the Rebels and overthrow Tsuba. After all, revenge was one of the biggest motivators of Humans. And when he found the Heirs, Faris would be the one to exploit it for his gain.
-----------------------
Kegan

"Night." Kegan replied, a warm feeling in his tone as he rolled over and looked at Atiya and Rein.

(In the while mean, Elsu has landed, and turned back into Amarok, Annak has bandaged himself up and cleaned himself off, and is now sleeping in a tree, pretty hidden like. I just didn't want to write that.)

Amarok was trying to find a way to hide himself from view. Unfortunately, white fur does not make very good night time camo, so instead of drawing attention to the area where Annak was sleeping, he decided to leave the area in pursuit of an interesting disturbance in the metaphorical force. In other words, he sensed a presence that should not exist. He sensed mage. Or at least he believed it to be a mage. But some magical force was in the forest, and it was strong. Too strong to be your run of the mill humage, or magically adept human. But something with such magical power was certainly no ordinary sight, but either way, Amarok believed that whatever it was could be used to their advantage, or was a problem that should probably be nipped at the bud. So the white wolf set off, running through the forest, in the direction of the disruption.

Rein

Rein smiled at Kegan and Atiya. She reached out her arm and took Kegan's hand in her's.

((I think that's it for Kegan and Rein. Now we just need to find good spots to fade out with the other groups.))

Alquonde sighed, shaking his head. It always saddened him when mortals tried to lie to others and even themselves sometimes to cover up their crimes. He leaned against his staff wearily.

"You sealed him in you out of greed, young one. Be wary of your ambition, lest it lead you to the path to destruction, like Ye-Jong," he warned. He smiled, "As for who I am, I am or was once, Alquonde of the Three Shapers."

Suddenly it all made sense--the demon's intense desire to kill, the things that the old man knew, and the scent he had first smelled.

Valen took half a step back, much more wary than before. "If you are who you claim to be, then why are you here? If you're waiting for "friends" who are interested in joining the rebels, then you must be against Tsuba. I would think that it would be much easier to just go and kill her yourself, instead of depending on mortal men."

Nix walked up to the clerk. The old man smiled a toothless grin. "What can I do for you sir?" He asked in rough, gravely voice. "Two room and your word." Nix said, dropping a half a mina (A unit of weight that equates to 100 drachma) on the counter. It was probably more than needed to pay for the rooms, the rest was to keep the man quiet if people where tailing them.

The man stared at the small pile of coins. In a village as isolated as this he'd be lucky to earn that much in a year. "T-t-two rooms it is!!" He said. "But your...Elf..." He trailed off, eying Gaita. "Is of no threat." Nix said, ignoring the mans blatant racism. The clerk decided it was best to serve these people before he agitated them to the point of leaving. The Elf could always be dealt with later.

He handed Nix two keys, and pointed at two doors on the far side of the room. "We'll be gone in the morning." Nix said tossing Gaita the key to her room. Nix rounded on Nebi. "Just you and me tonight kid...Just dont expect a bed time story." he joked.

Savina

It was dark, finally, and almost everyone in the camp had gone to sleep. But Savina had stayed up. Her excuse was that she would be keeping guard. But that was a lie, to be honest she just enjoyed the time alone, just her and the fire. It was cold as well, except for around the fire, of course. The Fall chill had finally arrived and Savina could tell that there was going to be a frost by the time morning came.

Savina sighed to herself as she finally stood up, deciding that now was the time to go to sleep. As she walked back to the tent, her mind drifted back to the visions she had had earlier that day. Unfortunately though, she still couldn't think of anything else that would indicate where the Soldiers were when they died. It was beginning to make her very angry now.

-Crunch-

A loud crack caused Savina to stop in place. She held her breath while scanning the camp around her. "...." She continued to hold her breath, finally releasing it as she noticed someone walking away from the edge of the camp. The Girl stood still for another few seconds, waiting for the figure to walk out of sight. But then surprisingly, to herself at least, Savina didn't walk back to her tent, instead heading straight towards where she had seen the other man heading for. Her curiosity had gotten the best of her.

C.C.

"Hm? What's so funny, Katie?" C.C. asked curiously, raising an eyebrow at Katie's sudden fit of giggles.

Maul

Maul silently cursed himself for stepped on the small twig on his way out of the camp. He paused for a moment to see if anyone noticed. Hearing no other sounds, Maul cautiously began to move again, going into the woods. He remained unaware that someone from camp was following him as he surged deeper into the forest. Up ahead, the light of a small fire could be seen.

"I have learned over the centuries that there are unexpected consequences when one of the gods directly interfere," Alquonde told him simply, "I learned that lesson well with Ye-Jong. It is better that I counsel this age's heroes instead of doing everything for them."

*

"Aww... And I was hoping for some warm milk and to be tucked in," Nebi joked as he headed up the stairs towards their rooms, "I think that's going to break my heart."

Katie

The girl shook her head as she tried to compose herself. Though she was surprisingly finding it to be a difficult thing to accomplish. After almost twenty seconds though, Katie calmed herself down enough to reply. "It's nothing. ...I swear."
----------------------
Savina

Savina quietly followed the stranger. Making sure not to make any noise so she wouldn't be noticed. But the Soldier stopped as she noticed a flickering light in the distance. No doubt another fire....

Savina bit her lip as she reached down to grip onto the hilt of her sword. But there was nothing there. She had left it back in her tent. "Of-" She had started to swear before cutting herself off quickly as she remember where she was and what she was doing. Being caught would be an especially stupid thing to do now, considering she had no weapon to defend herself with.

"And who are you here to counsel? Your friends? Or did you know that I would be the one to show up?" The more he talked to this God, the more he distrusted the old man. He would not be this god's pawn, just because this old man was too lazy to take care of his own problems. Valen had his own agenda.

"If it is the last, then I do not have the time to spare."

Maul

Maul paused as he heard another sound. He peered behind him, but saw nothing. After two minutes passed, he continued to where the light of the camp-fire was coming from. Once he traveled another few minutes, he entered a small opening in the forest. Four figures clad in black robes surrounded a dim fire. At first glance, no details about these strangers could be seen. Slowly, one of the four figures stood up. The other three followed their fellow's actions slowly. As one, they lowered their hoods to reveal the tattooed faces of an male Elf, a female Orc, a female human, and (most surprisingly) a female Dwarve. Maul lowered his head shortly, after confirming their identities.

"Welcome, Brother Maul." the female human began.

C.C.

"What is it?" C.C. asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes at Katie. Just what was it she had found so funny?

Amarok continued to race through the forest in pursuit of the intriguing force. The closer he got the stronger the presence became, but a spirit could tell when magic was present, simply because of the absence of free energy, or mana. Whatever you wanted to call it, it was there always, and it was Ikkuma who wanted to know what it was, and where it came from. In any case, people consumed mana in different amounts. Those who could not use magic would only take in trace amounts from the air, but the more magically adept one was, the larger quantity of Mana they would intake. Mages took up a vast amount of mana to simply survive. Magic energy was a large part of the blood that ran through their veins, so a mana drain could be felt from miles away. This is what Amarok thought about as he ran through the forest. what the spirit lords had already taught them. But many mysteries still remained, and the biggest one was where mana had come from. Amarok was approaching the source of the mana drain, or rather the mana deposit. He with great speed through the forest, until he could see her. The prisoner's lover, from the palace. She was a mage, without a doubt. As Amarok ran, he slowly began to transform, from the great wolf, back into the white dog, and burst out into the path in front of the three people. The Inu, the Mage, and the Human.

"Oh," Mab said, her mind blank on what to say next. She stared at Carlisle as if maybe she might think of something else to say except for 'Oh'. So she sat there in silence feeling kind of stupid.

"Are you going to be ok Katie," Nell asked concerned.

Katie

I'm fine, really, I am." Katie reassured, though she was now even more amused because of C.C.'s reaction.
But suddenly a loud noise could be heard coming through the trees. It sounded like something huge was headed for them. And then, out of the forest came....a small dog?
----------------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle continued to avoid looking at Mab, not replying to her one word comment.

"I know it was foolish now. I should have known it was foolish then.... But it's over, now. Considering she wants me dead and apparently I'm suppose to kill her now...." He admitted awkwardly.
-----------------------------------
Savina

Savina's eyes practically bulged out of her head as she recognized Maul's voice. though why exactly she was not sure. And so the girl subconsciously moved closer.

"She was using you," Mab asked, but more in a statement tone. She didn't like the idea of the Empress with Carlisle and that feeling in her stomach grew, but she tried to ignore it. "But it doesn't matter right now. Maybe in ten to twenty years you'll see her again. Chris never gives out definite time lines."

She wanted to comfort Carlisle or at least get off the subject. It was awkward for both of them.
----------
"That's good."

Nell looked at the dog and a low growl slipped past his lips. He went wide eyed in horror at the sound that came from him, his face turning red as well.
