Succession: Rebellion

Mab nodded and she began to run across the snow towards it. She was beginning to get cold as well.

Sunny was at Maul's side soon enough.

"What should we do now Sir? I mean do you think anyone can be alive down there?"

Maul

"What is it?" Maul asked, turning to Savina as she came over to him.

C.C.

"You know what I mean." C.C. replied. She moved her hands to Katie's sides and began to tickle the girl. "Now talk!"

Rein

Nearly an hour after they left, Rein half-walked, half-stumbled back to the carriage with Kegan. She smiled up at him and kissed him on the cheek.

"So, who should we tell first?"

Katie/Senka

Katie just laughed as C.C. tickled her. She had endured worse over the years, tickle attacks had never worked on her like they had on her Cousin. "Fine, fine... I'll tell Nell." She shouted, though the amused glint in her eyes was still there.

"Nell.... I knew C.C. was in love with you when I asked you to stay with us." She told the Inu after C.C. had gotten off of her.

Senka walked up to C.C. before the Mage could tackle Katie again though. "I think we should leave now."

Savina

Savina looked around to make sure that no one was close enough to hear, walking up closer to Maul afterward. "This is it. The place in the visions....I'm almost positive." She informed the Kaleesh, backing up when she was done talking.

Right after she was done talking though, Sunny was there, asking Maul what they should do.

"Whatever killed those people... Whoever killed them, they are still down there. I'm very sure of that." Savina told Maul.

Carlisle

It took almost thirty minutes of walking through the snow, but eventually, Carlisle and Mab were in the forest. And what an improvement it was. The temperature was up by at least ten degrees, and the snow was quite thinner as well. Now that he was a bit more comfortable, Carlisle realized that he should start up another conversation with Mab. It would make the Girl more comfortable, at least.

"So...we should use your fortune telling to gain some coin then?" He asked while looking down at Mab.

Kegan/Brighe

"I think we should tell them all at the same time. Then none of them can reprimand us or feel mad for us telling everyone else first. Just seems safer." Kegan replied.

"Well then, glad to see that you two are back. We're leaving." Brighe stated, obviously a bit annoyed with Rein and Kegan as she helped Atiya into the Carriage.

Nell looked at C.C. shocked. He was going to say something but stopped when Senka came over.

"Ok," he said.

"Sure and it might be helpful to those who come asking. Chris says I shouldn't use it out of greed, but I'm sure straving and freezing to death is a good loophole," she said, beginning to feel warmer as well.

Rein

"True." Rein admitted. She nodded at Brighe and worked up the courage to speak.

"Um...Brighe? I, uh, have something to tell you and Syrien first." Rein began a little nervously.

C.C.

"Right...." C.C. replied, glaring at Katie. She fumed within her mind at Katie's false confession. She'd have to teach that girl a lesson or two...

Smirking mischeviously, C.C. cast a silent spell on the Inu. His pants were enchanted and became see-through, though the Mage worked the spell in a way so that only Katie would be able to see and notice it.

Maul

Maul slowly nodded at Savina's words. A minute later he barked out an order.

"Go down there and search for survivors! And keep your guards up....whatever burned that town is still down there."

Carlisle

Carlisle nodded. He could understand why Chris wanted Mab to avoid using her gifts for personal reasons. But surely the Priestess would prefer this to having her apprentice steal from someone, wouldn't she? Besides. Technically the Gods wanted Carlisle to live on, even if he wasn't doing what they wanted him too.

Savina

Savina crossed her arms together as she looked at the group of Soldiers Maul had pointed at. She recognized one of them, she had seen him die in the second vision she had had. For a second, just a few seconds, Savina thought about warning the man. But she didn't. It wouldn't work anyways.

Katie

Katie bit her lip as Nell's pants disappeared. Her cheeks were turning a bright red, but Katie said nothing. It was obvious by Nell's, Senka's, and C.C's expressions that they didn't see what she was seeing. Katie looked up and glared at C.C., knowing that she would get back at the Mage somehow.

Brighe/Kegan

"Ah? And what would that be?" Brighe asked as she looked at her Rein and Kegan. Though Kegan just smiled nervously in return.

Brighe nodded in return before walking towards the front of the Carriage where Syrien was waiting. "Rein and Kegan have something to tell us."

C.C.

C.C. smirked at Katie in response. "Oh, is something wrong, Katie? You're bright red! Are you sick?"

Rein, Syrien

Syrien nodded and walked to his daughter and Kegan with Brighe. Once they were in front of the couple, Rein began nervously.

"Well, ah....I'm, I'm pregnant again." Rein admitted, looking away from Brighe and her father.

Katie

Katie crossed her arms, obviously cross with C.C. . "I'm just worried for Nell, that's all. I mean, I wouldn't want him being another conquest for you after all." She teased back.

((And thus the most frightening and intense battle of the story begins. The war between Katie and C.C. ))

Kegan/Brighe

Kegan chuckled nervously after Rein had given out the news.

Meanwhile Brighe just stared at the two, hoping it was a joke but knowing it wasn't. "Oh... Good job." She said curtly before walking away back to the front of the Carriage.

She was glad for the young couple, well, part of her was. But this was just going to make life harder then before. Having a pregnant woman with them while they run from the Empire. And then eventually, another child entirely.

Rein, Syrien

"I see." Was the only reply Syrien gave before striding over to the front of the carriage. Rein looked at Kegan with a hesitant smile.

"Well...I guess it can be only expected. Another child will be hard for our journey..."

C.C.

C.C. snapped her fingers so that Nell's shirt became transparent too. Again, only Katie would be able to see.

"Hahahaha, very funny Katie." C.C. replied with a cross look of her own.

((War it shall be! And C.C. will win! She always comes out on top! .....ok, that sounded a litlte wrong.))

Katie/Senka

"Nell, C.C. is using magic to look through your clothes." Katie informed the Inu before walking away quickly afterward.

Senka's eyebrows raised, surprised with the team leader. Though she wasn't sure why she was surprised, considering how unprofessional C.C. usually was. "Well then...." Senka muttered while walking away.

Kegan

Kegan smiled at Rein reassuringly. "It'll be fine." He stated before kissing Rein softly on the cheek. "And besides, Atiya will be here to watch her little Brother or Sister. Wont you Atiya?" Kegan asked rhetorically as he grinned down at his Daughter.

C.C.

"No, I was not. Katie is lying." C.C. told Nell before following Katie.

"If you were my daughter, you'd be grounded right now." C.C. whispered to her.

Rein

Rein giggled as she noticed that Atiya had grown bored waiting for her parents to get in the carriage, and was now fast asleep in it. Kegan's question fell on deaf ears.

"I guess we'll have to tell her later." Rein commented.

"Ashira, this is not the time to breed a newborn. Are humans and elves always this reckless?" Sten asked, disapproval evident in his voice, "This is why males and females their age are kept separate."

Katie

"And where would I stay during that time? We're traveling for most of the day." Katie pointed out as she walked with C.C. towards their horses. "Besides, I'm just getting back at you."

Kegan

"Thanks Sten, but we didn't ask you for your advice." Kegan answered. He was annoyed with the Qunari, and he had no idea why Sten had stayed with them after Lyanor. Didn't he have some sword he had to find or something?

C.C.

"Then I'd spank you....but I'm afraid you might end up enjoying that. And I'm getting back at you for what you originally started." C.C. retorted.

Rein

Rein frowned at Sten but didn't give a reply.

"Come on, let's get in the carriage. Atiya would probably enjoy sleeping on our laps." Rein half-joked.

Maul

Maul and his team traveled down to the city and split up to search the wreckage for survivors. He had Savina, Sunny, and two other soldiers placed on his team as they started to search the area.

"It's quiet here. Too quiet." Maul observed, speaking in a hushed whisper.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. I'm guessing since I was placed in a cell with Amazons,the guards probably don't know I'm one of the heirs." Epiphany looked at Grace. "And it's nice to know someone in here doesn't hold a grudge against me." The other two Amazons faced away from Epiphany, ignoring her. "What's your name, if I may ask?"

Katie

"Ah, so I'm the one who started the childish teasing first then? Nice try C.C. but you should know by now that you'll never have the moral high ground in these conversations." Katie stated before stopping near the horses, a smirk on her face as she looked back at C.C. .

Savina

Savina chuckled at Maul's word usage, recognizing it from an old story she had read once. Though the Girl quickly stopped as she realized how inappropriate it was to show amusement in this kind of situation. Savina quickly mumbled an apology in reply.

Grace

Grace stared at Epiphany for a few seconds as she realized everyone in the prison cell was looking at her. "....Grace. And that's Kilo and Fang, over there." Grace stated as she motioned towards the other two Amazonians on the other side of the cell. Grace quickly realized that telling the Heir anything about those two certainly wouldn't help Grace, as Kilo and Fang simply glared at her instead.

"Sorry..." Grace mouthed towards the two, though they didn't acknowledge it.

Kegan

Kegan chuckled in response before nodding in agreement, and climbing into the Carriage with Rein and Sten. Almost immediately afterward, the Carriage started to move along. "Well, they don't certainly want to waste any time." Kegan muttered.

Sunny searched silently, her heart heavy with the deaths of all those living here. If it was the rebellion who did such a thing or one of the Heirs, Sunny had marked them as completely heartless. No one would destory a city like this if they were mad or evil.

"Have you guys found anything yet?"

Nell, was red in the face. He did not like to be in the middle of C.C. and Katie, but he wasn't sure there was anything he could do to get himself out of it.

"Um guys, shouldn't we be doing......something else?"

Mab nodded at Carlisle.

"Do you think I should test it out first? See if I can read your's? Or mine?"

Carlisle

Carlisle bit his lip as he contemplated which option to go with. But once he thought about it, it was an easy decision. "Why don't we try yours." Carlisle stated with a nervous smile of reassurance. He knew that if his was read, Mab might find out a thing or two. She might find out about Alquonde's orders... And besides, Carlisle didn't want to know his future. He'd just worry even more if he knew what was coming.

"So umm...lets take a seat over there." Carlisle suggested as he motioned to a dry spot beneath a cluster of trees.

Savina

Savina was relieved when Sunny broke the awkward silence. She could tell that the Soldier had been affected by the tragedy. Savina assumed that it was the Rebellion. After all, if one person had done this... Well, Savina didn't want to even think about that possibility.

Katie

Katie's expression straightened out after Nell had reminded them of what kind of situation they were in. "Umm...right." She agreed before untying her horse from the tree.

C.C.

"That may be true, but I am a Mage of unlimited power. Whatever you may do in our little fights, I'll throw it back ten times as bad. Like...hm, perhaps I should let the Inu see what you look like without your clothes? For at least five, maybe ten seconds." C.C. suggested while igonring Nell, giving a smirk of her own at Katie.

Rein

Rein moved Atiya to her lap once they got inside the carriage. She covered the little girl with some blankets and gently rubbed the back of Atiya's head.

"She looks so peaceful when she sleeps." Rein noted with a smile. "So will our next child, I hope. Though..."

Rein grimaced as another thought popped into her mind. "I certainly won't enjoy the sleepless nights and changing diapers again."

Maul

Maul remained silent to Sunny's question. He and his team continued to move until they reached what once was the town square of the city. In front of them, four seemingly dead people were nailed to four spaced crosses, stretched across the entire square. Two were men, one was a woman, and most horrible of all, the last figure looked to be a young girl no older than eight. Each of the corpses were stained with crimson blood, and showed other signs of severe torture.

Trained to be unmoved by sights like these, Maul simply stared at the sights with an emotionless expression. Two other soldiers, though, vomitted after seeing them. While Maul showed no emotions on his face, though, his eyes burned with righteous anger.

"Someone will pay for this," he growled.

Katie

Katie didn't reply to C.C.'s playful threats, knowing that it would be best to stay quiet. Especially since Nell was watching. So instead she just shrugged in reply and walked away with the horse.

Kegan

"....wait, what do you mean about sleepless nights?" Kegan asked in confusion.

Rein

"Kegan, babies cry for just about....anything. They can't talk yet, so crying is their only way to communicate their needs to us. Whether they're hungry, need their diaper changed, or even when they just want attention. Though they sleep a lot during the day, they also cry a lot even in the middle of the night. Thus leading to sleepless nights, which I experienced many of when I was taking care of Atiya." Rein calmly and carefully explained to her fiance.

"And...I don't look forward to how big I'll get again, too." she added, looking down to her stomach.

Kegan

"Wow...." Kegan whispered in shock. "I had no idea that this was so....horrible."

Faris

"Are you serious?" Faris asked as he looked down at the messenger.

"Yes Sir. The third guardians saw them walking north through the Lharnon cliffs. They should be within Felin in three days." The Messenger stated.

"Hmm, that should be the perfect time to grab the Heir and his family and bring them in." Lon, one of Faris' Advisors pointed out, whispering into Faris's ear.

The Dark Elf stroked his chin a few times as he thought the issue over, but quickly raised his hand as he saw the Messenger slowly backing away. "We wont tey and grab them when they're here in Felin. They might grab a few people's attention. No, we'll grab them tomorrow when they're two days from Felin, then have them...escorted here. Is that understood?"

"Yes Sir."

"Then go, and prepare our best men." Faris ordered before leaning back in his chair. Finally...if he had one of the Heirs on his side, then not only would the Rebellion be that much stronger, but Faris might even be able to grab power from Hazuki over the other factions. It would be perfect.

Rein

"Hey! You better not back out now. Besides, it's not that bad. It's all worth it, in the end, Kegan." Rein assured, patting Atiya's head.

"Though I'm not looking forward to the pain of giving birth again." Rein added thoughtfully, giving a painful wince at that memory. Definitely something she wasn't looking forward to doing again.

"And....I won't like having you see me pregnant, either." Rein said a little self-consciously.

Kegan

"Hey! You saw me when I was half starved and hadn't bathed for almost a year after coming out of prison. I think I can see you while you're pregnant with our child." Kegan pointed out, leaning closer as he spoke before finally kissing Rein. "And I promise you, I'm not running away. Even if the kid looks like Sten." Kegan added, throwing in the jab at Sten without thinking about it.

Nix fell to the ground and quickly found a comfortable position. "And what would that be?" He asked, stretching his arms in the air.

((sorry I did not post during most of the weekend and Monday. Had to take a dog to get a lump removed and school has been busy))
