Succession: Rebellion

Brighe

"Well we should go inland a bit....off of this beach that's for sure. The Jungle begins about three hundred yards away from here. That means there's stable earth over there. I can use that to create a decent structure for the five of us to live in, for now at least. Then all we have to do is make it comfortable." Brighe conversed with Syrien as they walked down the Beach together.

Kegan

Kegan looked at Rein for a second, the look in his eyes showing that he already felt guilty. But the Half-Elf tried to ignore that, for now at least, as he crouched down and looked at his Daughter. "Yeah...I'm your Daddy." Kegan replied as he reached a hand out towards Atiya.

"I am Christmas, but please call me Chris. I am here to help you," she said softly. She was never assertive towards people she spoke to. Chris felt if she was they wouldn't listen to her.

Syrien

"Very well. That sounds acceptable to me. However, this arrangement can only be temporary, at best. What is our main goal, Brighe?" Syrien asked.

Rein, Atiya

Atiya reached out with her small hands and grapsed one of Kegan's finger. She shook it vigorously. "Nice to meet you, Daddy! Mommy's told me all about you!"

Rein gave a small smile and crouched down with Kegan. "You don't have to feel guilty, Kegan. Even if you had known I was pregnant, you couldn't have taken me with you. It would have been too dangerous. Besides, you were captured eventually. I can't even imagine with Tsuba would have done to Atiya and I, had we been with you. But you're here now, Kegan. With us. That is all that matters."

Brighe

Brighe stopped in place before turning around so she could see Kegan, Rein, and Atiya. "I don't know what the general goals are for everyone here. But I know what mine is. I'm going to make sure my Nephew, Rein, and their Daughter have a happy and fulfilling lives. And to accomplish that, I'm going to make sure that the Empress and her ideals die." Brighe stated before looking back at Syrien.

Kegan

Kegan looked back at Rein, tears in his eyes. "Still...Thank you." He replied apologetically, knowing that there was no way he would win this conversation with Rein.

"Yeah, well, I'm sure that you were quite scared to meet me then." Kegan responded to Atiya playfully.

Carlisle

Carlisle bit his lip as he heard another offer of help being given. This time from a complete stranger. "...How are you going to help me? I-i already have a way out of this city thanks to Maul...."

"Ah but you shouldn't leave the city. At least not yet," Chris said with a knowing smile. "But you will eventually leave it to help bring down Tsuba. And to meet some old friends as well. But for now I think it would be best for you to stay here in town."

Mab bit her lip pacing around the Temple. She was worried about Chris. Who was it that she left to see? She just hoped if she sent them back this way that they wouldn't be bad or something like that.

Syrien

"I would support that goal. However, overthrowing Tsuba will be hard. She has an entire Empire under her control. The only way we could defeat her is to join the rebellion." Syrien pointed out.

Rein, Atiya

"Of course not, Daddy! I'd never be scared of you!" Atiya replied with a giggle. She leaned up and managed to plant a kiss on Kegan's cheek. Rein smiled at the girl and looked back at Kegan.

"You're welcome, Kegan. I love you, and nothing will ever change that." she assured.

Carlisle

"No, no I'm not going to fight Tsuba. She won years ago, she has the entire Empire with her. I just want to go, Miss. I just want....I can't stay here. I will not go back to the Colosseum, either." Carlisle replied, clutching onto the gift from Maul as he began to contemplate whether or not he should simply leave now.

Brighe

Brighe sighed loudly in agreement. "Aye, that may be true. But even the Rebels don't have enough people to take on Tsuba."

Kegan

Kegan smiled. finally feeling content for the first time in....years, actually. He quickly wrapped his arms around Atiya and stood up, having her come up around four feet in the air. "Well I am relieved to hear that. From both of you." Kegan replied as he looked at Rein, a smile on his face. "Now then...lets get some food. Wen don't want Atiya becoming as thin as her Father, now do we?" Kegan asked teasingly.

"I didn't mean the castle child," Chris said with a small grin. "You can stay at the Temple, at least for tonight. Come on. It's rude to deny hospitality from the cripple you know. After all we have so little to give right?"

Syrien

"Directly, no." Syrien allowed. "But that may not be necessary..."

Rein, Atiya

"Of course not. While we're at it, we need to put some meat on your bones. Good thing I've become a good cook while you've been gone." Rein said, grinning brightly. Well, she hadn't felt this good in quite a long time. It certainly was good being back with Kegan again.

"Higher, Daddy!" Atya giggled, waving her arms around. Rein gave her a mock-angry look.

"Oh, so you like it when he picks you up, but not when Aunt Brighe and I do?" she chided, resisting the urge to smile. Atiya chuckled again and stuck her tongue at Rein.

"Yes!"

Carlisle

Carlisle's brow furrowed up as he heard the girl's offer. "The Temple? Whose Temple? Asclepios'? Athena's? Helio's?" Carlisle asked, trying to guess which deity this Girl was serving as his curiosity took over. But before she could reply, four platoons of Soldiers appeared on both sides of the bridge. Ready and armed.

Carlisle gripped onto the trinket from Maul before making a split-second decision. The former Doctor ran up to the girl and handed her the Trinket while placing his hand onto her shoulder. "Make a wish...or something. Just use it to get us to the Temple." Carlisle badly explained.

Brighe

Brighe chuckled to herself as she realized what Syrien was referring to. "Yes, if we could inform the other Slaves about the loophole you discovered, and somehow found a very charismatic person to work with us, we would have a chance." She stated, sounding rather doubtful.

Kegan

Kegan pur his hands around Atiya's waste before holding her over his head, having her a good seven feet above the ground. "Is that high enough for you?"

Syrien

"Well, Heir Nebi comes to mind. He lived among the poor in the slums of the capital. He might be a good candidate. Not to mention he convinced C.C. to fall in love with him. That is quite the accomplishment." Syrien said, giving a little chuckle. "Though I was not referring to that."

Rein, Atiya

"No, higher!" Atiya shouted, flailing about excitedly. Rein shook her head at her daughter's antics.

"Well, I guess my worries about her not warming up to you were unfounded."

"I could already see your answer," she said as she used the trinket. They appeared in the Temple and Mab let out a surprised cry.

"Gods Chris give me a heart attack why don't you."

"It's not my fault you are easily surprised Mab."

"Well this is the first time you popped into the Temple, so excuse me."

(It is the Temple of Apollo since you know Chris has visions and Apollo is also the God of Oracles)

(Ah, that makes sense.)
Brighe/Kegan

Brighe looked up at Syrien, surprised that her guess had been wrong. "Oh really? And what is it, that you were referring to then?" Brighe asked as she eyed her Nephew, who was currently running down the beach with Atiya over his head.

"Kegan what the hell are you doing with her!" Brighe shouted at her Nephew.

"Taking her to the sand dunes! Seems my little Girl wants a good view of the beach!" He shouted back while passing by them.

Carlisle

Carlisle stood still in confusion as Chris fought with another young girl in front of him. Oddly enough they were acting like they didn't know he was here. "I'm sorry, it was my fault that our entrance was so....sudden." Carlisle replied as he stood in place. The Doctor was beginning to grow rather cold though now, night nearing and him having nothing on his feet our upper body.

"She umm....I..... Should I leave you two alone?"

Mab noticed Carlislie for the first time and she nodded.

"Ah so this is who you went to see. Why did you bring him with you?"

"You know I don't share everything child. His destiny is no concern of yours." She turned to Carlislie. "Mab will show you where you can stay for tonight. I must pray."

Mab looked less than pleased with that but she knew there was no use in complaining.

"Follow me then."

Liona finished up the fight with the soldiers. When they were finished, the prison's tunnels were a huge mess. She tried to ignore how badly injured some had gotten, despite her own attempts not to hurt any of them so brutally. Still, she went on returning the prisoners to their cells. Hopefully she could get out of here soon. She felt sore from all the activity, and had sustained her own fair share of injuries.

Syrien

"No. I happened to take a peek at the design plans of the palace. There are hundreds of secret passages there, even ones I didn't know about. And certainly Tsuba doesn't know about. Like the one that leads under the capital, to the palace, directly into the throne room. The passage is wide enough to fit ten people at a time..." Syrien alluded.

Rein

"Wait for me, you two!" Rein shouted, running over to catch up with Kegan and Atiya. She then proceeded to trip, and fell flat on her face.

"Oh come one!? Seriously? Who trips over sand?" Rein fumed, getting back up. She gave a glare at the sky before dashing again to catch up with Kegan. And tripped again.

"....C.C. never really took that bad luck charm off me, did she?"

Carlisle

Carlisle nodded before following the other Girl, Mab, away from Chris. The Doctor made sure to be quiet, and he was certainly relieved to see that there were no other people around the Temple at this point...

Brighe

"That's... that's brilliant, Syrien." Brighe exclaimed as she turned and looked back at the other Elf. "With those plans, not only will it be easier to kill Tsuba, but it will be even easier to join the Rebellion and enter their higher up hierarchy." Brighe added as she clapped her hands together.

Kegan

Kegan stopped beside a sand dune and turned around as he noticed that Rein had tripped on the sand. "Hey, looks like Mommy needs some help catching up to us." Kegan commented to Atiya as he watched her get up.

"Man...she is gorgeous." Kegan whispered to himself as Rein caught up to them.

"No one besides me and Lady Chris live here," Mab said to Carlislie. "In case you are wondering. The Priestess and I prefer it that way. Now who are you?"

Rein, Atiya

"Mommy's a klutz!" Atiya declared proudly, remembering the word C.C. had taught her once before. Rein finally managed to catch up with them, after tripping a third time. She rubbed one of her sore knees.

"Man, my knees hurt. I don't think C.C. ever took that bad luck curse off of me. That, or the Gods still hate me." Rein complained. She blushed as another thought came to her mind. She hated to interrupt Kegan's time with Atiya, but...

"Maybe you could, ah, examine me. Make sure I don't have any cuts with infections, or something like that. There are some sharp sea shells in the sand. I never really did learn any good healing spells." Rein suggested shyly.

Syrien

"Thank you. But still, it will be hard to convince the rebels to trust us. They have a natural tendency not to trust those with royal blood." Syrien said.

Carlisle

"Yes, well.... I'm an escaped convict from the Colosseum." Carlisle answered, not wanting to give away his entire identity as previous Heir, Champion, and soon, Murderer of the Grand Duchess.

"Chris...helped me escape."

Kegan

Kegan's eyebrows raised as he realized the implications of what Rein meant. He quickly scanned the entire beach just to be safe. "Atiya, why don't you go help your Grandfather and Aunt Brighe collect some food. I'm going to go take Rein to...a river I'm sure is in the Jungle over there. So I can help clean her wounds." Kegan stated as he put Atiya down carefully.

Rebel Grunt

A Rebel ran through the underground Base of the closest Rebel grouping near the Capital. He had just received some very interesting information from one of the undercover Soldiers they had in the Army, and he knew that Hazuki needed to know immediately.

After almost twenty minutes of zig-zagging through the dank tunnels, he finally found the Pavilion area of the heads of the Rebellion. "Lady Hazuki!" The Grunt shouted as he noticed the Humage. "Lady Hazuki, news from the Capital." The Grunt stated as he handed a small scroll to her.

Savina

"Good job in here. It's not every day a Knight and the Guard get to work together." Savina commented to the girl as she helped her take one of the bigger Prisoners to his assigned cell.

Syrien

"That may be true. Still, they won't trust us easily." Syrien said. He noticed Atiya coming over towards them.

"What are you doing here, Atiya?" Syrien asked.

"Daddy went to go clean Mommy's wounds in the jungle." Atiya declared. Syrien slowly sighed and did a face-palm.

"....I knew it was only a matter of time..."

Hazuki

Hazuki quickly scanned the scroll before handing it back. "I see. Some of our own men were in the Arena. Sends scouts to find them, and track the escaped Heirs."

Ren

Once Atiya nodded and went away, Rein walked over to Kegan, blushing greatly.

"I...I never cheated on you." she blurted out. "I...just wanted you to know that."

Liona

Liona nodded once to the woman who helped her carry a larger prisoner to his assigned cell.

"Thank you," she replied to her, modestly and shyly. She didn't know how she should exactly react, whether to smile or to say anything more to her. The soldiers all seemed like such serious people.

"You all did a really great job," she proceeded, cautiously, before helping another man off the ground and leading him to his cell.

Kegan

Kegan picked Rein up, looking down at her as he walked towards the Jungle. "And I never cheated on you." He replied.

Brighe rolled her eyes as she watched Rein and Kegan enter the jungle. "Gods... some people never learn."

Grunt who I will now name Keith

"Yes Mam." Keith replied before quickly turning around and running back into one of the tunnels.

Savina

"Thanks...just part of the job though. It was nice to finally be able to do something besides train. ....not that I want there to be an actual war or anything!" Savina clarified, mentally slapping herself.

Liona

Liona agreed with her, and looked at her for a moment after she clarified herself.

"Of course not. And I completely agree with you," she replied. She felt entirely useful, finally, and she'd even gotten to work alongside the guard of the empire. This was a rare opportunity for the both of them, as was already established. Liona observed the surroundings. The halls of the prison seemed to have been much clearer now, and once again, in order.

Rein

"Good." Rein replied. She blushed some more and leaned up, kissing Kegan.

Syrien

"Well, it has been two years since they were last together. Of course, sooner or later, they'd...have some alone time together, to catch up." Syrien said, mostly for the benefit of Atiya.

"What are they gonna catch up on?" Atiya asked curiously and innocently.
