Real Terror! ((Still acccepting RPers. Scary RP Rated T)) ANOUNCEMENT!

"Yeah, yeah it's fine." Michael said as he looked at the book. It was an old encyclopedia like tome, except everything it talked about and discussed was magical items, creatures, and myths and legends as well. He had checked it out from the school library earlier that day, it was actually going to be thrown away, so Michael got to keep the thing for free.

The boy took in a deep breath and exhaled as the thunder rumbled again. "This is nice." Michael declared as he sat down and tried to put the book away in his backpack without anyone seeing what it was.

Charlie looked at the sky and frowned. She didn't see what was so nice about it. She hated thunder storms.

But Hanyer nodded in agreement. "I love the way the rain smells. Especially after a storm is over," he said quietly, hoping the others won't think he's a loser.

"I'm afraid of lightning, not thunder, just lightning." She said, out of no other reason then to share something. "I was always afraid it would strike our house when i was little."

((Sorry I haven't posted...I finally went on Gaia Online again for the first time in ages, and it's kept me busy for the past six or so hours.))

Ceshlyta had spaced out while she heard the others talking, so much so that she didn't notice the rain falling on her, making the monkey bars slick. Before she could grab onto something, Ceshlyta fell off face-down into a mud puddle. "Damn!" she yelled when she got up. Grumbling, she headed over to the pavilion while wiping her face off. "Hi, guys. Oh, and hey, little squirt." she said, sitting at one of the picnic tables. "I just spaced out, as all. I always do that."

(Did she call Charlie squirt? I'm just curious.)

"So you're not astraphobic," Charlie asked Lily. The girl may have been short and childlike, but she was pretty smart too. At the top of her class, Charlie knew alot of things. She just didn't let the pressure of being smart get to her.

((No. I thought Sarah was still there...sorry for the misconception.))

Nick had quickly stored the leather book in his back pack, and headed over to the pavilion rather soaked. Sarah had run off screaming over to a sleek black car, his aunt's car, and they had both driven away. Nick got there in time to hear Lily say she was afraid of lightning. He sat beside her at on of the tables, and put his arm around her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." He promised. Yes, grasping the moment. But he also didn't really see a way to protect her besides standing on top of the roof and serving as a lightning rod.

Ceshlyta giggled. "Do we now have a new couple?" she teased. She was soaking wet and dirty, but Ceshlyta didn't really care. "First Taryn, now Lily? Maybe we can have a double wedding? I'll offer to be the bridesmaid!" Sometimes Ceshlyta had trouble holding her tongue, and this was one of those times. She hastily said, "Just kidding, just kidding" before any sparks arose.

Nick laughed at her joke. "Aw, but I needed you to be my best man." he put in. He observed her not clean ness. "What happened to you?" he asked.

Ceshlyta gave Nick her best Force Ten glare, as she called it. "Ha, real funny, newbie. I fell in a pool of mud after falling off of the monkey bars. I spaced out like I do about twice a day." Trying to get the focus off of her, she added, "So, when are we going to head over to Amity House? I'm just dying to see some ghosts. Get it? Dying?" she said, laughing at her own corny joke.

"I call flower girl," Charlie added with a smile. Hanyer just ignored the conversation of marriage. He didn't really like getting involved in it.

"So Michael if I can ask what were you reading? You really seemed to like it."

"Hmm? What?" Michael asked as Hanyer caught him off guard. "I-it was nothing, just the encyclopedia." He replied before quickly realizing that his explanation was an absolutely horrible one. "I was studying medieval Europe and how some ancient myths and stuff were formed, it was quite fascinating." Michael added as he tried to make his lie sound more legitimate.

'An encyclopedia about medieval Europe?' Hanyer could tell it more not that exactly but he didn't push. Michael had a reason for hiding it. Hanyer knew he didn't like it when his parents pry.

"Sounds interesting. I've always liked ancient myths."

"Hm, looks like we have us a bookworm." Ceshlyta said. "Don't worry. I carry books around, too. Particularly Star Trek novels." she added. Trekkie she might be, Ceshlyta never failed to make it known. "I was reading this one novel, it's quite good. Q and Lwaxanna..." she rambled. Knowing none of her friends understood what she was talking about, she shut up immediately.

((You really didn't think I was going to make her a Trekkie? XD))

"Hanyer is a bookworm too," Charlie mentioned. She knew that Hanyer went through most of his classes reading. She mainly knew this because Hanyer told her. She found it funny that the teachers yelled at him sometimes.

"Yeah," Hanyer said, kind of shy about it.

Nick took stock of what was going on. He listened to the conversation about the mythical encyclopedia. "Michael would your encyclopedia happen to look anything like this?" he asked, and pulled his own book out of his bag, and held it up for Michael to see.

(Weren't some of the guys supposed to go to dodgeball?)

Lily shrugged away from Nick. Suddenly a bolt of lightning tore through the skiy, striking two neighborhoods away, but visible, very visible. Lily screamed, she saw the smoke rising, black smoke, she imagined a family's home, possibly with people inside. She rested her head on her knees and began to sob.

Charlie let out a scream when the lightning struck the house. She looked terrified. Forgetting the discussion on books, Hanyer took the younger girl into his arms to comfort her.

"It's ok Charlie. You're safe."

"But what about the smoke?"

"In this rain the fire can't do much damage and I'm sure the family will be ok."

Charlie didn't say anything; Just buried her head into Hanyer's chest.

Trying to be the only girl there that was strong-willed, Ceshlyta ran to Lily's side. "Aw...it's okay." Being the optimist that she was, she said, "I'm sure no one was in there." Still, she couldn't be quite sure that that was or wasn't a lie. For all she knew, someone could have been standing right where that lightning bolt hit. Ceshlyta shuddered, though she tried to keep the action unnoticed to Lily.

Nick watched the fire, and Lily crying. He took the book, and tucked it under his arm. He bent down by Lily's head. "Nothing will happen to them. I promise." he muttered in her ear. "Somebody call the fire department, I'm going to check it out." he said, and stood up. He ran out of the Pavilion, and into the storm.

"You don't know that." Lily said coldly "You don't know nobody was in there."

Michael breathed out a sigh of relief after the lightning went off, glad he didn't have to tell Nick that in fact that was exactly the book he had gotten. "Wait, why do I not trust him? He may be a jerkass but that shouldn't explain why I don't want him to know anything...." Michael realized as he tried to figure out why he didn't want Nick to know what he was doing.

"I don't have a phone,so....I'll go too." Michael decided aloud as he stepped out of the pavilion and began heading for the direction of the smoking house.

(I feel stupid asking this, but who are the two "magical beings"? >.>)

Hanyer looked at Charlie and then to Lily. He decided to stay here. If he left to go with Nick to check it out, he'd know she'd follow. But he didn't think he could let him go alone.

"Hold on Nick," he called. Then he looked at Charlie. "Stay with Lily. Everything will be fine," he told her. She nodded, but she still looked upset. Then Hanyer ran over to Nick. 'You shouldn't go alone."

"F*ck it I'm going with you guys." Lily got up and walked over. "want to see a trick?" She asked them. She grinned and pulled her shawl off. "Remember what I told you about my necklace, nick?"
