Sarah started to swing faster as well, more just following Charlie's lead, and seeing if she could swing faster. Oh simple mindedness.

"Yes, I am quite fast to ditch family, plus, I just met her." said Nick. He looked over at Sarah, he didn't really think she was that cute, but still. Lily's question caught him off guard. He looked up at her. "Because deep down inside, I'm terrified of vacant housing." he lied, and made it obvious he was lying. "I dunno, I heard a lot about it, and about ghosts living there, and wanted to check it out, but what's the fun in ghost hunting if you don't get to share it with anybody?" he asked rhetorically. And then he gave a mischievous grin. "Plus, scared girls are easy." he added, and laughed at himself.

Charlie begun to swing faster, trying to beat Sarah. Hanyer told her not to over do it. He didn't need to explain to her family why their daughter was in the hospital.

"That's a lame reason," Hanyer muttered after hearing Nick explain. "Using ghosts to get girls? Where will the male species go next?"

"It would appear that everything goes down from here if Nick reproduces enough children. I suppose Idiocracy was correct." Michael said quietly to Hanyer.

"Hey! I won a girl over without resorting to any dirty tricks," Thomas exclaimed as he approached his friends with a grin, "Taryn loves me for my charming personality and good looks."

Hanyer smirked at Nick's comment.

"But only if he doesn't get killed first. Some girls can go crazy if you say the wrong thing."

Then as Thomas approached, Hanyer spoke to him. "Well I didn't say we all resorted to it."

"that's what you think, Thomas." Lily teased. "Besides, you've liked taryn since the fifth grade and only today did you try anything." She rolled her eyes and rolled over on her back again, staring up at the sky.

"True." Michael said as he agreed with Lily. "And Thomas I would really say you only have one of those things in the end."

"Who do you like," Charlie asked Hanyer and Michael.

Hanyer looked down at the ground and shrugged. He didn't really want to think about it.

"No one Charlie. I don't like anyone."

"Ah it's ok Hanyer. I know you'll find someone."

Thomas blushed a little. He glared at Lily, "Was it really that obvious?"

"Like a bomb in a field of flowers." She snorted.

Michael shrugged and looked away from the girl and her brother after he was asked about who he liked. "Just because we're both teenagers doesn't mean we have to like someone. Some people just aren't....looking for that sort of thing, I am one of those people." Michael said as he stuck his face in the book to hide it, knowing his face had turned red.

"Oh," Charlie said. She never thought of it that way. "Well I'm sure you'll like someone eventually."

Thomas rolled his eyes at Lily, "Okay. Now I know you're exaggerating."

"Well you have to give Tom Tom here some credit, at least he actually confessed his love to Karen, or whatever her actual name was." Nick sat up under the monkey bars. "I believe that makes him a brave soul." he said, and touched his heart. He started to fake cry. "A-and I was so moved today, witnessing that. You just mean so much to each other!" he said, before he started to fake sob into his hands, then abruptly stopped and sat back up. "Plus, at least he'll admit that he has a crush on somebody, unlike Michael, who's hiding in his book all the time." he added. He turned to Thomas. "And no offense dude, but she was not exaggerating. It was almost like you wanted to show us how creepily obsessed you are with her." he said.

"Her name is Taryn and be nice to Thomas, or no party for you, no matter how much pizza you order." She warned him.

"I don't like anyone either," Charlie stated, turning to Hanyer. "Is that bad?"

Hanyer smiled and ruffled her hair. "Of course not. You're only thirteen. You don't need to date right now. You'll get crushes soon enough."

Charlie beamed. She was glad that she wasn't weird.

"But of course milady." said Nick teasingly. Well everything had it's price, and apparently the price on the Amity house was not being an ass, one of his favored pastimes, for at least a while. It was worth it. "Taryn, I'll make a note of that." he said. He then looked at Charlie. "And when you do get a crush on me, I am too old for you." said Nick.

Charlie just stuck her tongue out at Nick, which caused Hanyer to laugh. He covered his mouth and tried to scold Charlie.

"Now, now Charlie. You don't have to be mean to Nick. He's just dillusional," he told her with a grin.

"I prefer the term pleasantly oblivious." said Nick, and he harumphed But he smiled anyways.

Lily saw clouds beginning to form, thunder. She saw a flash of lightning. The clouds opened up and it began to pour down raining. "Shit!" she hopped off the monkey bars.

Taryn felt something inside her twinge when she heard the thunder, which cracked so loudly that she felt it vibrate in her chest. She bit her lip. She hated thunder. The lightning she was okay with, but if there was one thing she hated, it was a loud noise.

Charlie cried out as it began to rain. Hanyer just looked up at the sky and sighed. He didn't mind the rain, but it had ruined their plans.

"We better get home or somewhere dry," he said, stating the obvious.

A smirk came to Michael's face as he heard the thunder and felt the rain. While he absolutely loved being out in the rain, he didn't want to get his book wet and thus he felt conflicted as he looked up at the sky. "Oh well." The student said as he nodded in agreement with Hanyer's suggestion and got off of the swings.

"We can wait there for now I suppose." Michael suggested as he pointed towards a roofed picnic area at the other end of the park, not really wanting to go home unless he had to.

Hanyer nodded and ran over to it. Once under the roof, he shook his head to get his hair somewhat dry.

"You're book ok," he asked Michael.

Lily ran under the pavillion. She sat on the cemented floor of the pavillion and shivered under her shawl. She hugged her knees to her chest and at there. Watching the rain.
