The Darkness Wars Rated Teen/Accepting

(Question! Um, the circle of darkness, is that like a reverse force field, or something that renders my character immobile? Because I'm not really sure what effect you had in mind, and I don't want to go against anything you were aiming for there MSTM.)

(Just a force field, to keep him from interfering. He could move within it.)

Zarxs

"You'll never have peace," Zarxs said. "No, no, you'll try all you can, every method, but peace will be beyond your grasp!" He seemed upset, all of a sudden, but then returned to his cold manner. "I don't really care about your friends, they insist on getting in the way. If you can keep them from becoming involved, they don't have to be hurt."

Nolan

The slashes came quickly, and Nolan held his sword out to deflect them from him. His sword was coming less and less stable, but it would hold for now. He dashed back into the trees, and a few moments later came from above, slashing at Doran's neck.

Doran smiled a little as he blocked the boy's strike. He was good, but he was getting predictable and he would be a poor assassin indeed if he let someone sneak up on him. He locked swords with Nolan once again, "Very sloppy, kid."

[[Would anyone mind telling me what I've missed?]]

(Well the assassins are attacking the Wild Freaks and the knights aren't too far away. That's basically it.)

Ivy stepped in front of Oeni, still a good ten feet away from the man. "Just who the Hell do you think you are?" She asked, her tone low, and with a hint of impatience. She didn't ask it in the snotty manner most kids her age would, she asked the question in a way that clearly stated she wanted an answer, and a good one at that. She didn't care why these people were here, or whatever they were after ambushing a group of kids. Ivy sure as hell wasn't planning on fighting her decided opponents blindly.

Tazer shook her head. This wasn't going to happen. She couldn't let her friends get hurt because of her. It was her worst fear. But she had no weapons now and no way to stop Zarxs. She felt hopeless, but the warm feeling was still there.

(mstm I'm sure you don't want an epic battle now. Should something happen? Like the Wild Freaks fleeing or idk?)

(Yeah, it'd be good if the knights could arrive around now and the Wild Freaks got away in the confusion.)

(Ok.)

Tifa rode faster, not caring if the others followed. She knew she heard fighting. And if someone was fighting....well she wasn't exactly sure what it meant. But it couldn't be good. She slowed down when she saw what looked to be a treehouse and horses. She got off her own horse and grabbed her sword.

She made her way up. Vixen saw her before she got all the way up and forgetting about Marcus turned to Tifa.

"You aren't suppose to be here."

"Well I am," Tifa replied coming at Vixen. The assassin dodge the move.

Zarxs

Zarxs was about to say something when he was interrupted by the arrival of a knight of Belle. "Oh, our time is cut short, dear Tazer," he said, turning back to look at her. He lunged out and grabbed her by the arm, and placed a hand on her hand. A brief sensation that her skin was burning came, and on Tazer's hand was now a black raven, that seemed to stare into her soul. He released her and chuckled before dropping down to deal with these knights.

Vladmir

The knight was quickly behind Tifa, and his eyes narrowed as they came upon the scene. Assasins from the Dark Realm were here, fighting children, but one in particular made his blood go ice cold. "The Traitor," he breathed, and jumped off his horse, walking toward Oeni.

Nolan

"At least I don't need a handicap to give me a chance at victory," Nolan spat back, jumping away again. The guy was out of his league, and instead of trying to fight him more, he jumped back into the trees, but this time didn't pop out.

Tazer screamed in pain and followed Nolan's lead. She had to get away. Zarxs was too strong. Besides she they knew the woods and they didn't. It would be easy to hid. At least for now.

Rain felt the circle of darkness closing him in, and watched in anger as Zarxs acted freely outside of the bubble. Rain hacked and slashed at the force field. He couldn't let Zarxs do anything to Tazer. "Don't touch her! Don't you dare!" he screamed, almost childlike. "I'll kill you Zarxs! Do you hear me!? I'll kill you!" he yelled, and swung Reaper. As Zarxs reached to touch Tazer, Rain felt his power enter his sword, he made a final swing at the wall of darkness, and words reached his tongue. "Savage blade!" he yelled, and Reaper ignited into a cloud of negative color, that shattered the force field. He saw Zarxs begin to laugh, and lunged at the terrible man, but he was already gone when Reaper reached where he once stood.

Rain felt his dark power surround him, and felt his anger rise. No! Calm down! Here's your chance to escape! He yelled to himself in his head. Rain closed his eyes and forced the darkness back deep within him. He cringed, with effort. He looked around him at the damage done to the Wild Freaks' tree home. He watched Tazer and Nolan escape into the woods. He decided he should do the same. After all the knights were down there as well as some crazed assassins. Not a bunch somebody with a bounty on their head wants to get mixed up in. Rain jumped from the wooden platform and into the trees.

What the hell is going on? Marcus thought seeing that more men had arrived at the scene. But this time, they were fighting against those who were lead by Zarxs.

Who are the good guys here? Marcus wondered for a brief moment. Then, he saw Nolan making a run for it, along with some of the minor Wild Freaks. This might just be our time to flee. Thankfully, Marcus had regained some energy, which was enough to make a run for it.

“Ivy let’s go!” Marcus yelled while climbing down the tree house “we have to go now!”

A beautiful white horse was strapped to one of the trees near by, and Marcus couldn’t take his eyes of it. Animals have always gotten well with the kid. Marcus approached the horse and smoothly, he stroke the animal’s head. After he noticed that the horse didn’t make any rude movements, he got up on the horse and flew the place with it.

Doran smiled as the boy left. It seemed that he was smart as well as good with a sword. He hoped that Zarxs had finished with the girl. As he calmed down, now, he took no pleasure in the thought of killing children.

IC: Oeni

The traitor knight turned from the young girl, looking at the approaching knight with intrest. "Dog of the Queen." His stance was loose, as he watched Vladmir stalk towards him. "Do you wish to kill me? Be warned...I have already dispatched the mightiest of your fellows. You will be of little challenge."

Pointing his blade at the knight, Oeni smiled. "If you wish to throw away your life, however...come at me." His body stiffened, as he awaited the first move.

Vladmir

"A traitor cannot prevail forever," Vladmir countered, drawing his sword and sweeping it in front of him a few time, before drawing it back, facing Oeni. He waited, unsure if the traitor would make a move at all, or if another of the assasins would attack him. He had to make the first move and risk himself, or wait for another assasin to attack him. He walked forward, and let his muscles tense up, then brought his sword down with great power toward the ex-knight.

IC: Oeni

With a fluid motion, Oeni side-stepped the blow and slashed at Valdmir's unprotected flank. The traitor spun quickly, and moved to stab the knight's back. "Only a fool would believe such a simple notion." His eyes flicked over to the other knights before returning to Vladmir. With any luck, he would dispose of this one fast enough to deal with the others.

Vladmir

Vladmir tilted his sword to deflect the incoming path of the traitor's sword. "Good thing I'm no fool," Vladmir said, stepping back. His theory was right, he couldn't just go forward, he'd have to get creative with his strikes. He quickly brought his sword in for a series of slashes.

IC: Oeni

"That remains to be seen." Oeni's blade danced about, parrying the strikes of the knight with ease. With a quick twist of his blade, the traitor locked their swords together. Pressing hard againest Vladmir's sword, hindering the knight from getting his blade loose. Drawing his hand back, he curled it into a fist before crashing it againest his foe's face.

"Come! Show me your power, knight!"

Ivy opened her mouth, but held her breath as she saw her fellow Wild Freaks retreating. She hated to admit it, but she knew well how much weaker they were than those people. And they weren't together at the time, not together in the sense that they should be. The ravenette willed her legs to move, backing away and into the forest after the other Wild Freaks.

Vladmir

Not expecting the move, Vladmir was pushed back and let his sword go, as it was still locked by the traitor. He tasted blood, but stood back up and faced Oeni. "You're going to regret that," he said. In a flash, Vladmir pounced toward Oeni, fist impacting against his stomach.

IC: Oeni

His breath rushed from his lungs, but the knight quickly freed his sword and tossed Vladmir's away from him. Oeni quickly crashed his hand into the knight's side, before he lashed out rapidly with his blade. "The only one who shall regret anything shall be you, knight, right before I free your head from your shoulders."

Vladmir

The blow made contact, but he rolled away before the strike reached him, and he got to his sword. Drawing it, he kept the traitor in his sights. "You make quite a bold claim, but you'll never fufill it," Vladmir said. "No one can take the word of a traitor to be true."

Tifa came as Vixen again and again, but it was like the girl could read her moves. Tifa stopped trying to caught her breath. Vixen pretended to yawn.

"You're so easy to predict."

Tifa frowned and rushed forward throwing all her weight into the blow. It hit Vixen in the shoulder and she cried out. Enraged she glared at Tifa, sending her flying into a wall. She hit it with a snapping sound and slid down it, slumping forward.

Vixen took a deep breath to calm herself. The knight seemed hurt, but Vixen wasn't about to let her guard drop.

Tazer finally stopped. She just couldn't keep going. She sat down on a large branch, holding her hand. Tears rolled down her face, stinging her eyes and cheeks.

Rain continued to jump through the trees, dipping and and dodging oncoming branches. He had become used to this since coming to the forest, the leaves rustled wildly as he boomed past them, and his large figure had an out of place acrobatic feel. Rain stopped as he heard Tazer, crying. He made a quick turn and followed her voice until he could see her, holding the hand Zarxs had touched in her other hand. Rain landed on the large branch beside her own. "I told you that people were searching for Nala." he said, calmly, but with an air of sadness for this girl. She was so young, and already she was dealing with something as terrible as this. Rain walked closer and sat down beside Tazer. "We can't keep running from our pasts anymore Tazer. It's time to find out who we are." he told her.
