The Darkness Wars Rated Teen/Accepting

The Kingdom of Belle. A peaceful place to live. King Chestner and his Queen Maria are kind rulers, although they haven't any children yet. Princess Isiall, sister to Queen Maria, soon has a dream that something bad was going to happen.

And it does. In a place called the Dark Realm, it's ruler Zarxs is planning on taking Belle for himself. He prepares an attack against the Kingdom. The King and Queen do their best to defend their kingdom. Soon Queen Maria gives birth to a child named Nala. Afraid that Zarxs will find and kill her, they give her up to a woodsman who has a child of his own. To further protect the child, he renames her Tazer.

For years she is safe, but three years later King Chestner and Queen Maria are killed and Queen Isiall takes over. She beats back the Dark Realm army and Zarxs decides to take a different method. Upon hearing that the previous rulers had a child and that she possesses a strange power, he decided to find and kill her. Then finish taking over Belle

The woodsman, not wanting to take any chances, leaves Tazer and Nolan in the woods one day. He then commits suicide hoping that the pair have a good life.

It is ten years later. The Queen is husbandless and childless, spending her time trying to defeat Zarxs. But she is gravely sick. She asks a group of skilled warriors to go into the woods and find Princess Nala and bring her back to the Kingdom. She tells them nothing more.

Zarxs is getting tired of his search around the Kingdom, but has an idea where Tazer is. He and a group of well trained assassins are now on the search for her.

Tazer has no memory of any life outside the one she lives now. Her and Nolan were alone for some time, but soon they began taking in orphans and runaways. They hate the Kingdom because they believe they are all snobs and jerks. They live on what they find in the woods or what they steal. They are called the Wild Freaks. But lately Tazer has been getting weird nightmares.

Three groups that have no clue about the other. Two goals that revolve around one girl. One girl who has no idea what horrors lie beyond the woods she has come to know. Guys it's time for the Darkness Wars to begin again.

History: Born as Princess Nala, Tazer was given to a woodsman in order to protect her from the war between Belle and the DR. At age three, she and Nolan were abandoned in the woods. She grew up there, so she has no memory of Belle or her family. She took in orphans and runaways and helped them learn to defend themselves and instilled a hatred for civil life.
Skills: Tazer uses a whip as her weapon and is a skilled climber. She knows her way around the forest and is good at setting traps. She has an untapped power inside her, that she isn't fully aware of.

History: Tifa was borned as the first child in her family. Her family wanted a boy and so Tifa spent most of her time learning skills a boy would learn to please them. After her younger brother was born, she was already a tomboy and working on being a knight. She managed to recently become one.
Skills: A moderate swordsman, Tifa can also do well in hand to hand combat. Tifa is pretty fast too, known as the quickster as a kid.
Other: Carries a locket her youngest sister gave to her before being sent away to be a nun.

History: Vixen doesn't remember her family at all, but it is because she blocks those memories. After drowning a young girl after getting into a fight, Vixen was abandoned by her family. She wandered for some time before running into Zarxs, who saw her potential. Since then Vixen has been training, not exactly under Zarxs, but as an assassin for him. She now is off to help him find and end Tazer.
Skills: Vixen is physic (can read minds/use telepathy/move object with her mind/create a shield to an extent)

History: Nolan was young when Tazer arrived, and his earliest memories have her in them with his father, but at five they were abdandoned, and Nolan doesn't remember why. For awhile it was just the two of them, but others started following, and Nolan protected them all, acting as a surrogate father, albeit a somewhat young.
Skills: Swordplay is his forte. He taught himself and his quick with his attacks. Combining his speed and his ability to hide himself well, guerilla attacks are quite effective for him. He is also a good hunter, able to track an animal, or person, quite a distance.

History: Zarxs is an enigma, usurping the throne from the Darkness Realm's former ruler. He ruled through fear and intimidation for years, before completely controlling his domain, and setting his eyes on Belle. It's unknown what he's capable of, or what he looks like, but those who have met him are never the same after.
Skills: Complete control of darkness, able to manipulate it into nearly anything, including poisonous substances. Deadly with any weapon, and nearly invulnerable to physical harm, he prefers to personally strangle the life out of his victims.

Appearance: Very noble looking, he carries an air of superiority. He usually wears maroon and white clothes if not in armor, fancy but not excessive. He has black hair, somewhat long, and icy blue eyes.

History: Vladmir is from a privileged noble family, and thus has no interest in the peasants. He dislikes how women are knights and that the kingdom doesn't have a king, but keeps his opinions to himself. He was always going to be a knight, as his older brother would take his dad's place as a noble. He was extremely adept, and rose quickly in status among knights, rising to one of the trusted inner circle. He leads the group trying to find Tazer, though his loyalties may not be strong enough to bring the girl back unharmed.
Skills: Uses a double-handed sword, big and not very fast, but powerful.

History: Ivy ran from home when she was thirteen due to an abusive mother. Just the conversation of family ticks her off. After two months of running, she stumbled upon the Wild Freaks, literally, and naturally just became a part of them.
Skills: Ivy fights with her own two hands most of the time, but also with a bo staff she took with her when she left home. She also keeps a uniquely designed dagger in her right boot, though she won't tell anyone where or how she got it.

History: Koh’s past before Zarxs trained him to be an assassin is unknown by many, including himself. The only thing he can remember is Zarxs finding him and taking him in. Koh has trained hard, his only purpose to serve as an assassin of the Dark Realm. Now all of his efforts will soon pay off, as he has been chosen to hunt down Tazer.
Skills: Koh is very proficient at close range combat, utilizing both hand-to-hand combat and weapons combat. Sais are Koh’s weapon of choice, and he possesses 3 of them; 2 of which he uses, while the other he uses as a back up or as a projectile. Koh’s true skill that makes him such a valued assassin is his ability to subliminate into a black shadowy smoke-like substance. Koh’s smoke form not only makes him intangible and impervious to injury, but it also increases his stealth and he grants him the ability to posses people by entering their bodies.
Other: He's one of the few people that knows of Vixen's powers, and is currently trying different techniques inorder to shield his mind.

History: Izumi’s parents got caught stealing from the local food merchants and were executed by the Kingdom unfairly when she was a little girl. Izumi’s grandfather took her in, and she lived with him in a cottage outside of the Kingdom in the woods. Together they lived in peace for many years, and despite Izumi’s grandfather’s bad habits, he taught the child many things, including the ways of the forest and archery. Their peaceful lifestyle changed on one fateful day, when a pair of Zarxs’ assassins who searching for Princess Belle stumbled upon the cottage. Thinking that the cottage might be a refuge for the missing Princess, the assassins proceeded to burn it to the ground and attacked the inhabitants. Izumi’s grandfather did his best to fend them off, but was unable to completely defeat them and was killed. Izumi tried to flee into the forest, but the assassins hot on her trail, and gaining quickly It was only thanks to the assistance of the Wild Freaks, that she was able to hide from the dangerous pair, who gave up the search for her and went back to look for the Princess. Some time has passed since then, and Izumi is already a well known member of the Wild Freaks.
Skills: Izumi possess a long thick longbow, and a quiver of arrows she keeps strapped to her back. Izumi has incredible senses, especially her sight, which almost seems to be nonhuman. While and excellent shot and a deadly opponent at a faraway distance, Izumi’s combat prowess at close range is not so good. She is learning from some of the other Wild Freaks, and has improved considerably over the years, but she’s nowhere close to their level of skill. Izumi is also has knowledge of the many fauna and flora of the forest, and can navigate through it pretty well (By the trees or by the forest floor).
Other: While Izumi is a kind and sweet girl, she tends to act rather quiet, and is shy even among her friends. Her nervousness, may have something to do with the fact that Izumi is bisexual.

History: Doran grew up in the Darkness Realm's capital, living as one of the many poor beggars, that is, until he got in a fight with one of the Darkness Realm's king's soldiers and won. He was then trained as one of the Darkness Realm's assassins and when Zarx took a throne, he served him as loyally as he did Zarx's predecessor.
Skills: Doran is skilled in the use of the katana as well as the art of stealth. He is quick, both in and out of battle. He is able to blend into shadows and strike unexpectedly, at times killing people instantly. His sword can burst into flames at will.

History: Marcus is troubled kid with one of the worst childhoods ever yet he still gives people this happy face that can make people think he is alright. At the age of 7, Marcus lost his parents. One day they went to work, and didn’t come back. Luckily for Marcus, he still had his big brother Klark. Klark was stunned and sad when he noticed that his parents weren’t coming back. Instead of fleeing and looking for a better life, Klark took care of his little brother. Both of them did what they could to survive. They stole food, money, clothe, and they even had to kill animals for food. When Marcus was 9 he was already an experienced pickpocket, quite good in fact. One a Wednesday afternoon, Klark stumbled across a cabbage merchant, while Marcus robbed a few of his cabbages. Accidentally, Marcus dropped 2 cabbages, and the merchant noticed. Both kids started to run like never before, but it still wasn’t enough. Marcus got caught, and in a moment of desperation, stamina and the nature of protecting his little brother, Klark got a pocket knife and stabbed the soldier who managed to get a hold of Marcus. Klark was tackled from the back to the ground by another soldier who only saw Klark stabbing the soldier who was now laying on the floor choking on his own blood. Marcus ran and ran and he kept running until he was safe, of course, his brother wasn’t. For the grave offense of killing a soldier of Belle, Klark was sentenced to death, and Marcus had a bounty on his head. Marcus had no other choice but to flee from the city.
One night, while Marcus slept deeply on the top of a tree, a large noise came from below. The noise woke Marcus, and he looked down he saw what would come to be his next family, The Wild Freaks. Marcus was offered to join, since they noticed he was obviously alone. With time, Marcus became known simply for his way of being friendly. Always a positive attitude and always with the need to help anyone or anything, not to mention his charisma and the way he made people feel hope, and feel needed. One more factor, was of him being agile with knives and stealthy like a fox.
Skills: Amazing user of knives, for his young age that is. Pickpocket.

History: Carrington grew up with three older brothers and therefore knows how to tough it out. She grew up fighting and loved it. She soon found her passion with the bow. Her parents would not let her join an army though and sent her off to school at 14. She agreed to go half-heartedly, but figured out a way for her to practice her bow during school. When someone discovered her talents she was recruited for the team to find Princess Nala.
Skills: Carrington is very skilled with a bow and has a lot of stamina.

History: At his birth, Oeni was known as Tyson and grew up in the Kingdom of Belle. There he was raised by his father and mother to become a knight, and his skill with the sword quickly earned him a name amongst the young recruits for the knightly order of Belle.
He was welcomed into the order as one of the most promising knights of the generation, and Tyson was determined to live up to his billing. Everyday, he trained till his legs would give out, and until his arms could barely lift his sword. His dedication allowed him to proceed through the ranks at a rapid rate, and some dared to say he would be Lord Commander of the Knightly Order before he turned 25.
At 25, for reasons unknown, Tyson deserted the Knights of Belle and disappeared into the wilds. Some said he had been selected by the gods to do some holy task, while others said he was simply a coward and had abandoned his people during their time of need.
Whatever his reasons, Tyson reappeared two years later, now known as Oeni. He was at the head of many charges against Belle, drawing in some of it’s greatest warriors and dispatching them with his brutal skill with the blade. His service to Zarxs is a mystery to all save Oeni and Zarxs. Now 31, Oeni has been labeled one of the greater enemies of Belle, and many knights dream of besting him in combat and taking back his knightly sword to the Queen.
Skills: Oeni is a master of the blade, capable of killing the greatest fighters in a single blow. He has no need for stealth, as he has yet to meet any that can surpass him in combat, save for Zarxs.
Other: On his forehead, a dark red rune glows softly. It is a rune that prevents Oeni from taking action against Zarxs’s wishes, and it allows Zarxs instant access to all corners of his mind.

History: Cassidy never really knew what a mother was. Her mother died at childbirth and as Cassidy got older, her father told her just that her mother had left, only leaving the bow and arrow and her necklace behind.
As a young girl, Cassidy showed interest in many things, but mostly a love of archery and stories. She became a gifted storyteller at a young age, and her father taught her how to use a bow until she became proficient at it and could learn on her own. At 13, her father was killed in the woods by a dark assassin, and Cassidy was forced to leave her house and wander. It was at 15 that she crossed paths with the Wild Freaks and proceeded to become the watcher and peacemaker between all of the orphans, being one of the oldest. Now at 19, she is a master bowman as well as extremely proficient with a sword which she carries on her back. She is wise for her age and has a quick wit to those who know her as well as a well spoken storyteller.
Skills: master bowman and proficient swordsman. very quick runner and a quick thinker. Can get out of most situations with the stories she makes up.

History:Garth was the son of a local blacksmith and was going to take over the family business. But, much to the dismay of his father, he join the royal army. He was absolute crap with a normal sword and bows would snap in his hands. Finally, after months of weapons bills, his commanding officer had his sword, goliath, made saying that "there was no way in this kingdom that the kid could break that". The sheer size of the sword (and its massive 205 lb weight) was, as it turned out, the ideal tool for Garth. After training he rose in the kingdoms ranks as being a monster of a fighter.
Skills: Garth's best skill is his ability to break almost anything you present to him. He very fast with his weapon, relative to its size anyway, and wields it more effectively than most soldiers can a normal sword.

Age: Unknown, but estimates late teens to early twenties.
Appearance: Rain stands around six feet and four inches. Despite his height he is not stocky and large. He is rather slim, but not wiry. His blond hair drapes to the bottom of his face, in the front, and the base of his neck in the back. His hair parts in the front to reveal his face, and light green eyes. He wears a long black coat, with silver shoulder pads. They match the greaves, plate chest, and gauntlets he wears underneath the coat. He wears black pants on his legs.
Group: Wanderer
History: Rain awoke in the forest two years before the current day. He awoke with the clothes he wears, and his sword, Reaper, but without his memories. From what he could tell he was deep in the forest, and without food or water. He wandered for a week in the forest, picking berries, and drinking when he found water until he collapsed, starving, and dehydrated. When he woke again he was in a small foresting town, staying in an unfamiliar house, but with a supposedly familiar face. The family that had taken him in was the Lionheart family. The family's only child, a daughter, claimed that he had saved her in the forest one day and left without a word. The soon to be Rain, had no recollection of this, as he had no recollection of anything. But the daughter, Clara, remembered it very well, as that was the day she became infatuated with him. Though he wasn't quite the same as she had remembered him she was still charmed by the way he acted, and still loved him for what little it was worth to her parents, and thus she named him Rain. Because despite her father's hate of rain, Clara had always loved it. It eventually came out during his stay that their son had died during a hunt, and that the Lionheart line would end once Clara married. Rain was, as always iffy on how things like this worked, his mind being quite childlike, but he agreed to marry Clara, and join the Lionheart family under their name, as he had no family of his own. The lost boy found a family, and learned to hunt, and survive from his new father, though he was not built for hunting, because of his size, and his choice of weapon. In time though, Rain learned to shoot a bow, remain hidden and silent, set traps, and tell the poisonous ones from the good ones. He came to love Clara, even though he was rather incapable of showing it, he did it in his own way. Only three months after Rain had awoken, Clara became pregnant, and by the end of his first year living with the Lionhearts, they had two children, a boy and a girl. He lived a rather normal life for the next year, and he let his mind expand, always asking questions, about himself, and the world. Around the village he had received a reputation as the man who had his head in the clouds, as he would often lose his trail of thought and wander off, until one night, he felt something, deep inside him, a warning. He didn't remember that night. He simply awoke, standing in the middle of the village, set ablaze, Reaper in his hand, stained with blood, and everyone of the villagers in sight dead, and he assumed by his blade. It was chaos, and he heard his children crying, at his feet. Knights from the next town over had seen the blaze and came to help, only to find Rain. They blamed him for the fate of the village. Knights charged him from every side, and Rain lost control of his body, taking each of them out with ease. A second group of knights charged him. Rain did something he never thought any man could do. He controlled darkness. He made a claw of dark mist rise from the ground and crush one knight. Another was propelled into the air, from an explosion of darkness. Rain leveled several houses, along with the last of the knights with a wave of darkness. When Rain regained control, he took his children to a nearby town, despite being in pursuit of the knights of Belle. He left them with an elderly woman in a house far enough away from the town so that he wouldn't be noticed. He told her that someday he would return, when it was safe, and that he would leave his blade to his children were he to die. He also demanded that they kept the name Lionheart. Since leaving his children, Rain has been living in the forest, where he could be alone with his thoughts, and alone in general, where he can't hurt another person.
Skills: Rain is a relatively skilled hunter and can use a bow, but his true strength is with a blade. He carries with him, Reaper. A four foot long sword, black as night, with a blood red edge. This is it's base form, Reaper has the ability to shape shift into different several different forms. He also has a bow, a quiver with 15 arrows, and a pair of knives. He has the devastating ability to control darkness, which takes on the form of a dark mist, though he can shape it tothe form of his desire. He does not know how to use this ability though, and wishes never to use it. The only time he has ever knowingly used it was when he fought the knights. He also has unhuman senses, and strength, ever since the accident, he also avoids using this as well.
Other: He fears who he once was, because his memory is slowly returning, in flashes, and he believes this is the cause for his change in physical abilities.

History: Leit was raised by his mother alone, who had been a knight that was killed in the war. Leit worked hard to become a knight, and he succeeded about a year ago. Leit had been an average soldier, until about a week ago. While he was walking around the palace, he noticed a strange figure heading towards the royal bath house,where the Queen was currently taking a bath. Leit followed the figure carefully, and when he quickly dispatched with two royal guards, he knew that he was an assassin. The young knight quickly sprang into action, and attempted to defeat the assassin. The fighting ensued, but the assassin who was much more skilled than Leit, disarmed him and gave the knight a devastating cut around the torso, and moved in for the kill. Leit managed to regain his sword, and tackle the assassin through the doors into the royal bath house. Moving quickly, Leit killed the assassin, before he could get up off the floor. Upon seeing the Queen bathing, the young knight begged for forgiveness, and expected to executed. Upon seeing that Leit had killed an assassin at such a young age, she instead decided to make him one of her royal guards.
Skills: Leit has moderate skills with a sword, and is also adept at hand-to-hand combat. As a member of the royal guard, Leit also wields a halberd, but he has not had a few days worth of training thanks to his injuries, and becoming a royal guard so recently.

History: Doran grew up in the Darkness Realm's capital, living as one of the many poor beggars, that is, until he got in a fight with one of the Darkness Realm's king's soldiers and won. He was then trained as one of the Darkness Realm's assassins and when Zarx took a throne, he served him as loyally as he did Zarx's predecessor.
Skills: Doran is skilled in the use of the katana as well as the art of stealth. He is quick, both in and out of battle. He is able to blend into shadows and strike unexpectedly, at times killing people instantly.

History: Izumi’s parents got caught stealing from the local food merchants and were executed by the Kingdom unfairly when she was a little girl. Izumi’s grandfather took her in, and she lived with him in a cottage outside of the Kingdom in the woods. Together they lived in peace for many years, and despite Izumi’s grandfather’s bad habits, he taught the child many things, including the ways of the forest and archery. Their peaceful lifestyle changed on one fateful day, when a pair of Zarxs’ assassins who searching for Princess Belle stumbled upon the cottage. Thinking that the cottage might be a refuge for the missing Princess, the assassins proceeded to burn it to the ground and attacked the inhabitants. Izumi’s grandfather did his best to fend them off, but was unable to completely defeat them and was killed. Izumi tried to flee into the forest, but the assassins hot on her trail, and gaining quickly It was only thanks to the assistance of the Wild Freaks, that she was able to hide from the dangerous pair, who gave up the search for her and went back to look for the Princess. Some time has passed since then, and Izumi is already a well known member of the Wild Freaks.
Skills: Izumi possesses a long thick longbow, and a quiver of arrows she keeps strapped to her back. Izumi has incredible senses, especially her sight, which almost seems to be nonhuman. While and excellent shot and a deadly opponent at a faraway distance, Izumi’s combat prowess at close range is not so good. She is learning from some of the other Wild Freaks, and has improved considerably over the years, but she’s nowhere close to their level of skill. Izumi is also has knowledge of the many fauna and flora of the forest, and can navigate through it pretty well (By the trees with the help of some rope, or by the forest floor).
Other: While Izumi is a kind and sweet girl, she tends to act rather quiet, and is shy even among her friends. Her nervousness, may have something to do with the fact that Izumi is bisexual.

History: Carrington grew up with three older brothers and therefore knows how to tough it out. She grew up fighting and loved it. She soon found her passion with the bow. Her parents would not let her join an army though and sent her off to school at 14. She agreed to go half-heartedly, but figured out a way for her to practice her bow during school. When someone discovered her talents she was recruited for the team to find Princess Nala.
Skills: Carrington is very skilled with a bow and has a lot of stamina.

History: Shimi was an orphan at a young age. She traveled from house to house trying to find a permanent family. Usually she would stay at a place for a month or two and then be shooed away. At 10 she gave up on the home thing and ran to make her own home in the woods. One day when she was looking for food she found the Wild Freaks and immediately joined them.
Skills: Shimi is skilled in trap making.

History: Marcus is troubled kid with one of the worst childhoods ever yet he still gives people this happy face that can make people think he is alright. At the age of 7, Marcus lost his parents. One day they went to work, and didn’t come back. Luckily for Marcus, he still had his big brother Klark. Klark was stunned and sad when he noticed that his parents weren’t coming back. Instead of fleeing and looking for a better life, Klark took care of his little brother. Both of them did what they could to survive. They stole food, money, clothe, and they even had to kill animals for food. When Marcus was 9 he was already an experienced pickpocket, quite good in fact. One a Wednesday afternoon, Klark stumbled across a cabbage merchant, while Marcus robbed a few of his cabbages. Accidentally, Marcus dropped 2 cabbages, and the merchant noticed. Both kids started to run like never before, but it still wasn’t enough. Marcus got caught, and in a moment of desperation, stamina and the nature of protecting his little brother, Klark got a pocket knife and stabbed the soldier who managed to get a hold of Marcus. Klark was tackled from the back to the ground by another soldier who only saw Klark stabbing the soldier who was now laying on the floor choking on his own blood. Marcus ran and ran and he kept running until he was safe, of course, his brother wasn’t. For the grave offense of killing a soldier of Belle, Klark was sentenced to death, and Marcus had a bounty on his head. Marcus had no other choice but to flee from the city.

One night, while Marcus slept deeply on the top of a tree, a large noise came from below. The noise woke Marcus, and he looked down he saw what would come to be his next family, The Wild Freaks. Marcus was offered to join, since they noticed he was obviously alone. With time, Marcus became known simply for his way of being friendly. Always a positive attitude and always with the need to help anyone or anything, not to mention his charisma and the way he made people feel hope, and feel needed. One more factor, was of him being agile with knives and stealthy like a fox.
Skills: Amazing user of knives, for his young age that is. Pickpocket.

Appearance: Very noble looking, he carries an air of superiority. He usually wears maroon and white clothes if not in armor, fancy but not excessive. He has black hair, somewhat long, and icy blue eyes.
Group: Heroes
History: Vladmir is from a privileged noble family, and thus has no interest in the peasants. He dislikes how women are knights and that the kingdom doesn't have a king, but keeps his opinions to himself. He was always going to be a knight, as his older brother would take his dad's place as a noble. He was extremely adept, and rose quickly in status among knights, rising to one of the trusted inner circle. He leads the group trying to find Tazer, though his loyalties may not be strong enough to bring the girl back unharmed.
Skills: Uses a double-handed sword, big and not very fast, but powerful.
