The Darkness Wars Rated Teen/Accepting

Ivy followed the group, staying a bit farther back, her arms crossed in front of her chest as her eyes swept the area constantly. As long as she had lived with the Wild Freaks in this forest, though it had grown to be her home, she didn't trust not a leaf of it. It was a dangerous place. Wild animals and bandits, they were common run-ins. She certainly didn't trust a man asking to meet her leader alone, but she told herself she wouldn't judge him just yet.

{I think the timeskip might've messed up a few things IAK and Nightmare had planned. Maybe some warning next time...?}



On the far right, Izumi walked behind the others, albeit not quite like Ivy. The girl wasn't as confident, her gaze directed towards the ground. She fingered the bow wrapped around her shoulder nervously. I wonder what this man is like? she thought. He didn't seem all that bad, as far as she could tell, but they still knew very little about him. Why does he even want to speak with Tazer? And why did he insist that her name was Nala...? Izumi eventually shook these questions out of her head, knowing that it was pointless to think about them because they would all be answered eventually.

(Where are the Assassins at?)

(Oh sorry, but I didn't know that they had planned something and this was dying. I'll warn you all next time.)

Vixen stood by a river as her horse drank. They had traveled pretty far into the forest, but hadn't found sign of the girl yet. Zarxs told them to make sure they were prepared. Vixen had eaten to regain enegry and was now taking care of her horse. She didn't need to die because it was hungry or thristy or something.

Koh sat in crosslegged near the river's edge munching on an apple he had picked from a nearby tree. He glanced at his horse, the steed lapping up the last bits of water from its tounge before laying down to rest in the shade.

He took another bite of the fruit, and watched how the river flowed, calm and serenely. The birds were chirping here and there, and the whole forest seemed to be at peace. There was no sign of the girl, but they had not been searching for too long. Looking up at the trees, massive branched reached out in every direction abundant with green leafy masses, the assassin noted how easily one could disappear here. Nevertheless, they would not fail. They would find this girl. And then they would kill her.

Zarxs

Zarxs sat crosslegged, hands folded in his lap, floating in the air far enough away from the others. For all intents and purposes, he was asleep, but he had left some dark magic around him, protecting him in case a surprise attack came or one of his assasins tried to betray him.

His conciousness spread over the forest, examining the energy in the place. Nature had very large energy, spread out over everything, but luckily it was easy to find human energy because of the differences from everything else, and its familiarity to Zarxs. Though there was no live human energy around aside from his group, it lingered in a certain area, where a large group congregated together it would seem. Perhaps the girl lived there, perhaps not, but it was a starting place.

He returned to his body and stood up. "We have a destination, return to me," he announced to his assasins through magic, and mounted his horse.

Vladmir

After a few hours of hard riding, the group was taking a short break to let the horses drink up. Vladmir sat away, planning on how to handle this mission before any other knight could interfere.

Tifa was getting pretty serious. She was excited about finding Nala, but she knew better than to jump around like a fool. She went over to Vladmir.

"So do you have a plan if Nala refuses to come with us?"

Vixen sighed and got back onto her horse. Well at least she was able to relax for a little way. Her blood starting pumping again and the thrill of the hunt for the girl returned. She couldn't wait to find and kill her.

Doran nodded as he began to stand up from where he was sitting. He was just sitting underneath a tree, meditating, when he heard Zarxs' call. He approached his horse and mounted it before turning to Vixen, "Are you ready?"

Vladmir

The knight look up at her, somehow simultaneously looking down at her, and said, "force. It's not her decision, it's her duty, and as knights of Belle, we enforce duty." He turned back to his original direction, mulling over his ideas, appearing as though he forgot Tifa was there.

Upon hearing Lord Zarxs's announcement, the assassin immediately sublimated into shadow smoke. The smoke crept up onto the resting horse's saddle, the animal completely unaware of his prescence. Koh depositioned, mounting the steed, and kicked the animals sides alerting it that it was time to depart.



During the trip, Leit had tried his best to look for Nala; enjoy the scenery; and stay calm, but he was honestly having a hard time trying not looking at the archer that was travelling with them. Trying and failing. The young knight accidentally glanced over at her again, only to pull his head away in the other direction. Why is she dressed like that? It's... Leit blushed deeply.

Attempting to think about something else, the royal guard forced himself to focus on Tifa and and Vladimir's conversation. "I suppose so...but we shouldn't be aggressive at first. She's only a young girl after all. We should try to be subtle and persuade her."

Vladmir

"I didn't say we jump of the bushes and tie her up when we first see her," Vladmir said, irritation in his voice. "Force is a last resort. If she refuses to return of her own will." The problem is she's a child, and an outcast at that. She has no idea how to rule, he thought.

Tifa pondered both of the boys' words. They seemed to know what they were saying, but still something bothered her. Tifa didn't want to say it, especially since Mr. "Women-are-second-best-to-men" was here. But she did anyways.

"What if she's dangerous? I mean living out in the woods. She could have become feral or something. I know no one wants to think of that, but it could be true." Tifa then gave Vladmir a look. "She might fight back. But I am with that you said."

Vixen nodded at Doran a small smile. Well even if this trip was a waste of time, she was glad to spend it with Doran. Not that she'd ever admit to it.

"Yeah. Let's head back. We don't want to keep Zarxs waiting."

Doran smiled back slightly. He supposed that if there was one consolation to working for Zarxs, it was Vixen.
With that thought, he said, "Then let's go."

Vladmir

Vladmir pondered the words, maybe she was feral. "In the unlikely event that she's become more animal than human, and a danger, it will be our duty to assure she won't be a threat ever again," he said, his tone cold. "It goes beyond your own opinions, knights. If this comes to pass, we cannot just leave her a savage. However, if she's not dangerous then we will capture her as if she had refused to come with us."

Carrington walked over to the other knights after tending to her horse. "So pretty much we talk to her then we force her to go with us. That's all I've been getting from this." she said. She looked at all their faces to see their reaction. For some reason Leit's face was beet red. She wondered why.

Shimi followed behind. She had a tendency to drift off and check some traps, but she stayed fairly close. She hadn't been listening when this Rain person was there, but they sounded very interesting.

Tazer finally found the place and nodded her head twice, giving the signal for her friends to hid until she needs them. She walked over, but left her weapons about two feet away from her. She didn't want Rain to think that she didn't trust him or that she was going to attack him.

"Well that's if we ever find her," Tifa muttered. They weren't having very good luck so far, but the forest was large. Also they had to be sure not to tread into the Darkness Realm territory.

"So where should we look," she asked Vladmir, letting him take the role as leader.

History:Garth was the son of a local blacksmith and was going to take over the family business. But, much to the dismay of his father, he join the royal army. He was absolute crap with a normal sword and bows would snap in his hands. Finally, after months of weapons bills, his commanding officer had his sword, goliath, made saying that "there was no way in this kingdom that the kid could break that". The sheer size of the sword (and its massive 205 lb weight) was, as it turned out, the ideal tool for Garth. After training he rose in the kingdoms ranks as being a monster of a fighter.
Skills: Garth's best skill is his ability to break almost anything you present to him. He very fast with his weapon, relative to its size anyway, and wields it more effectively than most soldiers can a normal sword.

Ivy watched as Tazer signaled for them to conceal themselves. She reached back to set her hand readily on her staff as she backed away from her place among the group of Wild Freaks to disappear into the shadows of the forest. And with a kind of quiet and carefulness only achieved by someone who has made them their home, Ivy swiftly made her way up to a higher position in a tree. Hidden among it's branches, as they created an acceptable vantage point for her.

It took a mere seconds to realize Tazer's motion, and Izumi quickly dashed off to the right and behind some thick, leafy bushes. The Wild Freak readied her bow, and slowly crawled on her hands and knees closer in order to get a better view. She really didn't think that Rain would try to kidnap Tazer or anything, but she learned through experience and the forest to always be on guard, ready for anything.

Nolan

Nolan stood by for a few moments as the others scurried away to hide. He placed a hand on Tazer's shoulder, and muttered, "we're here for you." He then quickly took a place in a nearby tree, covered by leaves so he wouldn't be seen.

Tazer smiled at Nolan. She wondered if what Rain tells her, would effect anything between them. Tazer couldn't afford to loose any of her friends.

"Rain where are you?" she called out.

Vixen nodded and moved steadily towards where Zarxs was. Her excitement returned and she moved a little faster. But something in her gut made her feel not so sure about what they were going to do. Vixen had never killed a child before.

"Doran...no never mind."

Marcus hid like the others behind a huge strong tree surrounded by tall grass. Perfect spot for Marcus to hide comfortably, since he could move around a little, watch quite well under the circumstances and take good cover behind the strong tree since it was so big and wide.

Marcus slowly reached for 3 knives from under his shirt. After putting his knives carefully in his left palm, he took of the safety strap from the big hunting knife he had strapped on his thigh right after they left their home.

Let's just hope nothing happens. He thought as he carefully watched each of his friend's location in the surrounding area.

Doran looked over at Vixen, an expression of understanding crossing his face before he banished it. He looked solemnly ahead and said, "The child we're after was marked for death as soon as Zarxs deemed her a threat. Our king cannot be opposed. He is too powerful."

His tone was solemn, even a bit said, but he quickly hid any emotion that was leaking out of him.

Rain stood hidden in a tree above the waterfall. He had been waiting there for a while, for Nala to arrive. He was however not expecting her fellow Wild Freaks to come as well, hiding among the bushes. Rain couldn't help but feel a little insulted on two accounts. One that Nala did not trust him, and two that they expected him to fall right into this trap. Rain sighed. This was not entirely unexpected. Nala was tethered to these lost children because they were like her, and the others were tied to her for the same reason. It was foolish and stubborn. Youth deciding to live with each other outside of society, because they no longer fit in. It was indeed foolish and stubborn, but admirable as well. None the less, he was not interested in these other orphans.

"I speak only to Tazer!" Rain called to the young ones. He then unsheathed his sword, and raised it to the sky. He then brought Reaper down with much of his force and released the blade, launching it forwards. The the jet black sword plunged between Tazer's legs, on an angle. Rain didn't want to resort to violence, but he needed these kids to understand he could end any one of them in an instant. Rain then leaped from the tree in a giant bound and landed about ten feet from Tazer. He slowly walked forward, in a commanding, lethal nature that fit more a lion than Rain, who under normal circumstances would be far more gentle. He walked up to Tazer in his powerful manner, and looked her in the eye with disappointment, and an edge of anger. Then broke the gaze, and grabbed his sword. "Remember that next time I ask to speak with you Nala." he spat, and pushed past the teenager, and headed to exit the small bush surrounded area before clearing out onto te shore of the river. He would walk back to his camp and hunt for today. His meeting with Nala had been a disappointment.

Nolan

The boy jumped down out of the tree as soon as the sword landed near Tazer. He glared as the man declared he was not going to talk to Tazer unless she was alone. Once he left, Nolan walked toward Tazer and said, "I'm going to follow him. I don't care who he is, he's not getting away with this."

He turned his back and followed where the man had left from. Using his skills as a hunter, he was able to follow the trail left by the man, though admittedly it wasn't difficult to do so. He hoped none of the others were following him, he wanted to confront this man alone.
