Nolan

"Of course," Nolan answered her. He was curious about what she wanted to discuss, maybe it was her most recent dream. She confided in him greatly, he knew more about her than anyone else, but she kept somethings to herself, and he found it harder to understand her as she got older.

Tazer made her way to the base of the tree and then about ten feet away. After deeming it far enough that they couldn't be overheard, she turned to Nolan.

"Nolan do you ever wonder who your parents were? You're older than me by a couple of years and so since I can't recall anything but growing up in the forest with you, I was wondering if you can remember anything.

"I know we aren't related. That much is clear. But everything else is a mystery. I don't like to dwell on my past, but I can't help but wonder sometimes."

Nolan

Nolan's eyebrows contracted, like he was contemplating something, and turned from her. "Tazer, I don't know if you want to hear this. It's vague, based on my memories of when I was young, and it probably won't make you happy. I don't want you to go off in search of a life that might just hurt you," he said.

"But I don't want that life. I'm fine with the one I have now. But I can't help but wonder what kind of person leaves two children in the woods to fend for themselves. We were lucky to survive," Tazer stated.

"But you don't have to tell me. And if this guy, Rain, knows something, it won't change anything besides maybe answering some of the questions I have."

'But not all of them,' Tazer thought. Her change in feelings for Nolan was something she wasn't sure of yet, but she wasn't going to bring that up. Maybe not ever. Who knew where it could lead.

“Hey! I don’t plan on staying behind.” Marcus shouted confident and strong as he saw Tazer and Nolan go away. He was not about to let the other have all the fun, who knows what could happen on the trip? Yes, Marcus was indeed one of those persons who looks as to what might happen in the future.

Nolan

"No," Nolan said, some kind of chord struck. He sighed and said, "I was too young to remember when you came, but my father took you in, and for awhile we grew up together in our house out here in the forest. He always told me that you were someone important, and that you were hiding with us, and I wasn't to tell anyone you weren't my sister, not that there was anyone to tell."

He paused and with difficulty, continued, "and sometime after we were attacked. Most of it's a blur, but I remember my father told me to take you and run, run into the forest. I was crying as we left, my father wasn't coming with us, and I was scared. I remember a little while after once we stopped to rest smoke was rising from our house. I took you back there the next day, and there was only burnt wood and ash, my father was nowhere to be seen. I don't know who did it, or even why, but we weren't just left here, we were forced to take this life. That life you came from, it's not a good one, and chasing after it's going to be bad."

"Like my dream. I'm chasing after something that I can't reach and in the end I fall." Tazer sighed. She was right. Her dreams dealt with her past. But now knowing the reason she didn't grow up in a normal family (or what she could imagine one was), made Tazer feel better. "But I can't avoid talking to Rain. He says that I might be in danger and I need to know what it is. I can't allow my past to get everyone else killed."

Tazer hugged Nolan her face slightly going warm. She didn't think about it though.

Nolan

Nolan returned her hug and said, "just don't let your past kill you. I don't want to lose the only person I consider family." He didn't mean it as it sounded, the Wild Freaks were a family, but he and Tazer were closer than that, Nolan considered them siblings, no matter if they weren't related.

Doran rode alongside Vixen but said nothing. He knew he was already on thin ice with the king. He'd have to pefor efficiently on this mission to pacify the man. It sometimes troubled him how irrational Zarxs was, but he was too powerful to question.

Tazer giggled like a girl (though technically she is a girl) and started to head back. She was feeling good about this now, but she was also feeling brave. She wasn't going to let her past, whatever it may be, destory her present or effect her future.


(Velox does Vixen know that Koh Kuei knows she's pyshic, or did he find out somehow but not told her that he knew?)

Ivy looked up as she heard her name, singling out Izumi from the group of Wild Freaks. She realized she hadn't seen her friend this morning, and briefly wondered where she'd been. But the ravenette pushed aside her curiousity as she answered her, "Mm? What is it, Izumi?"

Vladmir

The knight collected what he needed and waited at the stables. He would give them the benefit of waiting the hour he said he would, but if they did not arrive by then he would continue on alone, and find the heir, Nala.

Nolan

Nolan followed and arrived back at the boar. It was still warm, but quickly losing heat. He grabbed some and jumped around from branches, to be alone. He arrived at the top of a tree that afforded a nice view of the horizon. It wasn't very secret, but he was the only one he ever saw here, and now he wanted to be alone for a little while, since some of the other Wild Freaks were probably going to be asking questions.

Tazer reached the treehouse and served the boar. They had been interrupted by Rain before being able to eat. Sitting down she gave her friends a confidence smile. She wanted them to know there was nothing to worry about.

Tifa shrugged. If they weren't going to come then they would be left behind. She didn't have time to wait. She headed to the stables. Once there she saw Vladmir and gave him a half-wave.

Vixen slowed her breathing as she let her mind slip into Koh Kuei's. Not reading his mind, she instead spoke.

"Koh what do you know of the girl we are searching for?"

"Well, I was wondering..." Izumi looked towards the ground as she spoke, poking her index fingers together constantly. The girl was shy and a bit reluctant to speak now, but when her stomach suddenly growled again, she resumed speaking with a blush formed across her face. "I was wondering if we could spar for a little bit after we eat...?"


Koh was slightly surprised when Vixen's voice appeared into his head, but the assassin made no indication of anything unusual. Not much. Lord Zarxs hasn't informed me of any specific details of who this girl is, but he did mention a couple of things to me sometimes.

Leit followed Tifa a bit reluctant, and moved at the slowest pace possible, yet still keeping up with the her. The Royal Guard wanted to embark out on their quest, but he still did not want the others warriors travelling with them to be left behind. He knew that they could use all the help they could get, and Leit had also only met Tifa and the Knight in charge: Vladimir. He was curious on what these other warriors would be like.

"Is she dangerous? I mean if she wasn't we wouldn't all need to come, right?" Vixen looked down and sighed. "There is something going on that Zarxs isn't telling us. But I know we can't question him. If he thinks this can't be done alone, this girl must be hiding a secret that makes her dangerous."

Koh listened to carefully, and there was a slight pause before he responded. Lord Zarxs seemed to imply that this girl was extremely dangerous. When I first started to control my powers, he spoke of the target we would eventually be eliminating. He told me that despite this girl's age, or looks, she should not be understimated. He spoke of this girl having...unimaginable potential. Potential, that if left unchecked, could threaten even his extraordinary powers.

{I'm going to see some plays at my school tonight, in less than half an hour from now. I'll be on later though, and hopefully I'll be able to stay awake and RP all night long! ^^ (No promises though... <_<)}

"Well let's hope that things go well. I sure don't plan on dying soon. Vixen looked over at Doran, wishing she could include him in the conversation. Or at least finally read his mind. Then she faced forward again. "We're just have to work together to take her out. Though not all of us might make it."

Carrington studied both her colleagues. "Are we ready to go then?" She fingered her bow in anticipation. She looked over at her horse too. It was a deep chocolate color with a single white spot on its head. And it's mane was a deep black.

This was the moment she had waited for. She was finally going to be able to prove her parents wrong. She could fight and she would use it.

Shimi had stayed behind, doing random things. When she heard a commotion a little ways away she came over to see a stranger. Everyone seemed to be around the stranger. She wondered if he knew anything about animals... or trap making for that matter.

But soon the crowd dispersed and the stranger left. Soon Shimi saw that the boar was being served. She quickly ran down and got some.

Ivy took a bite of her share of the boar, chewing as she intently listened to Izumi speaking, enjoying having something other than a squirrel or a rabbit. She swallowed as the other girl finished, "Sure. But I won't be using my staff." She said, before looking over at Tazer,

"You know where to find us whenever you're ready to head out."

"That's okay. I don't think I would stand much of a chance if you did..." the girl replied, before she started scarfing down her share of the meat. The fact that she hadn't eaten for so long and the fact that it was boar, which was kind of rare for the Wild Freaks, caused the normally shy girl to rip into the meal like a starving carnivore.

You shouldn't worry so much about not surviving. Those thoughts will only get you killed faster. With all of us, there's a much better chance of us succeeding, and surviving. If you're worried more about yourself, then I'll make sure that you come back alive.


{That's a pretty good understanding Lolx3. But a little more specifically and towards how you should post, the character has left already, and the knights/heroes are heading towards the stables to depart. You might wanna edit your post a bit. ^^'}

Vixen let herself look surprised. Did Koh Kuei really just say he would protect her. Vixen felt a little happy about that, but a quick glance at Doran, made it go away.

"You're right. And I don't need protecting. She mentall smiled. "But I won't turn down your offer either."

Tazer started towards where Rain said to meet. She knew she was breaking the promise of coming alone, but she didn't care. Tazer didn't trust Rain and she wanted to be prepared if anything happened. Besides she thought that it was fair that her friends knew the truth too.

Nolan

Nolan walked behind and somewhat to the left of Tazer, keeping his senses open but his eyes ahead. He kept running over everything in his mind, and couldn't decide whether Rain was nuts, if he was telling the truth, or this was some trap for this Nala person he had mistaken Tazer for.

Marcus followed Tazer quietly. He didn’t give much thought as to this Rain character, for he wasn’t there at the moment of the talk. However, he had his eyes wide open, looking around the group, the top of the huge trees that resided on this place.

Hmm…it would be interesting to climb one of these! Marcus thought. But that thought went away when he remembered what they were doing and that he needed to be alert, rather than wanting to climb trees. But suddenly, Marcus saw a big tree! One covered in red flowers, and it stood out from the rest.

Ohhh! I have to climb that tree! Marcus smiled excited, yet again, the thought was diminished when his mind came back to realize the priorities.

Guess I’ll have to remember the position of the place.
