The Darkness Wars Rated Teen/Accepting

Carrington jumped up onto her horse and followed the group. So far nothing had come up so she could prove her skill. She knew that they thought of her as lower than them... Well at least Vladamir did. She sighed and caught up to the group.

Tazer started back towards the treehouse. She was feeling both troubled by what happened and glad that her friends had her back. She wouldn't know what to do without them.

But Tazer's conflicting emotions were interrupted by another feeling as she entered the treehouse. Something was wrong.

"Something's not right here. Is someone here," Tazer asked kind of hesitantly.

Nolan

Nolan heard Tazer, and entered the tree house with his sword drawn, looking around quickly. Nothing seemed to be out of place to him, in fact if Tazer hadn't said anything he likely would have gone and sat down on the couch, completely at ease. He trusted Tazer's judgement, though, and if she thought someone was here, he wasn't going to relax until it was searched.

"Ok, let's look every place over..." he began to say, but what he saw next made him stop. A figure suddenly came into focus, as if from nowhere, and after a few seconds it was clear he was covered in black, so his figure was all that was visible. "My, my, Nala, or Tazer, I guess I should call you now, you have quite a quaint home here," Zarxs said.

Tazer soon had her whip in her hand and ready to fight. In the back of the mind she wondered where all these strange guys were coming from and why they called her "Nala" but that wasn't important right now.

"Who are you," she demanded.

Zarxs

"Well well, we seem to be rather edgey don't we," Zarxs asked, chuckling as if commenting on something trivial. "I was hoping we wouldn't have to jump to hostilities so soon, but if you don't want to chat for a bit, I suppose I have no choice but to engage you in battle."

This snapped Nolan out of his stupor and he gripped his sword tightly. "It's all of us against you," he growled, angry at how many people suddenly wanted to harm Tazer. Zarxs chuckled and said, "I don't believe so. Assasins, entertain these children for me while Nala and I get to know each other better."

"As you wish," Doran stated as he dismounted the horse. In a battle with these children, a horse would do more harm than good. He guessed that they stuck more to the trees to give them the advantage of the high ground. He smiled. No matter, he was faster without his horse and they would find they'd have nowhere to hide. His sword burst into flame and he leaped at Nolan.

Vixen came out from behind Nolan, smirking.

'Aw so cute. Young love just warms my heart,' she teased deciding to mess with Nolen too. If she had to hurt kids, she might as well have fun. Vixen would felt guilt, but the joy of watching his boy suffer would help her get over it. 'There's nothing you can do. Zarxs will kill the girl. It's their fate.'

She focused, but didn't make a move to hurt Nolen. Doran was taking care of that for her. She turned to the others and smiled widely.

Tazer gripped her weapon tighter. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she was prepared to defend herself and her friends.

"I said 'Who are you?' Or are you deaf?"

(Tazer, Tazer, Tazer. Don't sass the villians. It's tacky and just not good.)

Nolan

The voice in his head distracted him that by the time he came back to reality, the sword from Doran has made it's mark. He screamed in pain and fell back, but got right back up, panting, and gave a look to his arm. Burned and cut, that was nasty, but he couldn't focus on that now. He gripped his sword and made a silent pass at Doran.

Zarxs

"Still demanding, do you not like being left in the dark? That's a shame, darkness is my forte, and our time together will be bathed in it," Zarxs said. He walked up to her, and placed the back of his icy cold hand on her cheek. "Such a pretty young girl."

"You'll have to be faster than that if you want to defeat me," Doran said with a smirk, losing himself in the savage thrill of battle as he blocked the kid's sword, which was already melting slightly from impact with his.. He would feel guilty later. Now, he would just do what he was ordered and try to enjoy it.

"You know, there's a reason why I'm employed. The flames of this sword cauterizes wounds, keeping my enemies alive when I dismember them. Then my lord takes his own twisted pleasure from interrogating my prisoners," he said as he pressed his sword harder against the kids.

Marcus felt bad for a second. Nobody made a remark about his hunting, but that thought flew from his mind after a while.

As they reached the tree house, Marcus went to his sleeping place, somewhere in the higher branches of the tree. Suddenly, he heard some unusual noises and when he went out to see what it was, men were in the tree house. Marcus pulled some of his smaller knives and threw 2 of them to the feet of the person in front of Tazer.

“I wouldn’t do that if I was in your place.” The teen was quite cocky. He took a few more knives on his left hand, and then he pulled a dagger which he held with the right hand.

Tazer shivered from Zarxs's touch. His hand was cold...no it wasn't that. It was more that he himself was cold. It made Tazer feel uneasy, but she couldn't let her guard drop.

"Why....?" But Tazer couldn't think of the words to say. It was like his touch froze her thoughts. She heard Nolen scream and she snapped out of her daze, moving away from Zarxs to lash at him with her whip.

Vixen saw the kid that was sleeping and let her once secret go. She raised the kid up and brought him to her.

"Your fight is with us. You aren't good enough for Zarxs to even acknowledge."

Then she threw him against the wall.

Nolan

"I didn't ask for your pathetic life story," Nolan said, jumping away and bringing his sword back up. This wasn't good, the metal wasn't holding up against the fire, it would be ruined if this went on too long. "Pretty impressive, you can hold your own against a kid," he mocked. "You're the biggest bully on the block."

Zarxs

The whip hit him, but he didn't even seem to notice. "You don't have to hold back, you know. I'll stop you before you do any real damage to me," he said, sounding somewhat concerned, somewhat mocking.

Tazer was mad now. This guy, whoever he was, he was worse than Rain. She tried again, putting all she could into her strike. Tazer was not going to give up.

"I've been called far worse," Doran told the kid, mildly impressed that the kid wasn't showing fear. That story usually evoked fear in his enemies, but that was usually because they knew who Zarxs was. He smirked and began to press the attack on Nolan, noting that his sword couldn't stand much more punishment.

Marcus yelled in pain when he made impact with the wall. The teen wasn't hurt so badly. It wasn't a concrete wall, thank god. Marcus went dizzy for a few seconds, but managed to recover. From the man’s back, he threw a dagger that had a 6 inches long blade.

He won’t see that one coming since he so focused on tazer, let us hope Tazer manages to run if the dagger hits. Marcus then moved in quickly inside one of the huts to hide from view until he could recover.

Rain had followed the wild freaks to their home, and had been watching the fighting go on, but when Zarxs had entered Rain froze. He knew this man. Not since his awakening, but from before it. There was something about him. Something that through Rain off. He was another key to his memory. And that made him begin to lose control of his power. He was feeling a reaction, and Rain could feel himself, changing. He could feel himself slip away, and instinct take over.

Rain leapt from the tree he had once spied on the wild freaks from, and landed a few feet from Zarxs. He removed Reaper from it's sheath, the blood red edge shimmering, and a dark aura surrounded Rain. "Don't lay a finger on her!" he yelled at the dark man. Rain pointed his blade at Zarxs. "I'm not done with her yet." he continued more evenly.

Zarxs

Zarxs grabbed a hold of the whip and simultaneously plucked the dagger from the air by the blade. He witnessed a man leap from the trees and announce something, he wasn't really paying attention. "It appears that my assasins really are slipping," he said, then threw the dagger at fast speeds toward Rain. He yanked on the whip, either bringing Tazer with it or tearing it from her reach.

Rain dropped his sword to his side, and lifted a finger. He did this automatically, and though it happened at an extreme speed, Rain seemed like he was bored, and like what he was doing required no skill. As the dagger touched rain's finger, it shattered. "You can do better than that Zarxs, can't you?" said Rain in a cocky tone. Rain felt his power going wild the closer he got to Zarxs. It wasn't just that he knew him, it was some other power that Zarxs seemed to be radiating. "No don't be an asshole and bring it!" Rain yelled, feeling a thirst for battle come with his power.

Marcus was speechless. The man who went by the name of Zarxs managed to catch his dagger so easily! But even more speechless and stunned was Marcus, when he saw what Rain had done to the dagger!

We are no match for these guys! Marcus throat suddenly got dry, the teen got goose bumps and then he felt an emotion which he had not felt in a long time, fear.

Nolan

Nolan stared him down for a moment before dashing off into the trees. Here he was hidden from view, and he quietly snuck around to a different angle. He jumped and slashed at Doran.

Zarxs

"I have no time for you," Zarxs said, and held out a hand. Instantly a circle of darkness covered Rain. "That ought to amuse you," he said, and turned back to Tazer. "Quite the group you have, quite the foolish group you have. Can you not fight your own battles, even when your opponent does not attack?"

Doran grunted as he felt himself get cut. He hadn't been able to dodge the cut in time. He smiled. This would prove interesting. With that thought, he aimed a few more strikes at Nolan, excited about the battle.

IC: Oeni

The traitor knight quietly emerged from the bush, his eyes watching the forms of the remaining Wild Freaks, while also taking in the strange sight of Rain. "I believe I will be more than enough to deal with all of you." His amber eyes watched them, as he drew his knight blade from it's sheath at his hip. He kept his mind's eye on Rain, as the man was easily more powerful than these children but at the moment he didn't warrant much attention.

"Come. I'd like to end this quickly, so I may move to more promising foes."

Tazer tried to hold onto her whip, but it was wrenched out of her grasp. She sucked in air sharply and regained her balance. This was not going well. And the treehouse was too small for all of them to fight.

Vixen moved to be in front of Marcus. She shook her head and kicked him hard to his stomach.

"Don't you listen?"

Tazer watched the fighting. Even Rain was here now. It was all too much. And it was all about her. Tazer looked at her friends fighting and then to Zarxs.

"Stop it! It's me you want. Don't hurt them," she cried to Zarxs, half desparate, half angry. "I don't know who you are or why you came here. And I don't care. All I want is to live in peace!"

Tazer stopped when a sudden warm feeling envoloped her. She didn't know what it was, but it made her feel better. Stronger.

Tifa frowned. She was sure she was hearing what sounded like fighting. She looked at her companions to see if they heard it too.
