We have to WHAT?! [A Pokemon Rp] [PG-13] [OPEN! 8D]

John's eyes widdened at the sight of the dog launching a fire-ball from it's mouth. "Holy! Gible, get outta the way!" The land shark looked at it's trainer for a moment, before grinning deviously. Crossing it's arms, Gible let the attack crash into it's body. For a few moments, it struggled againest the attack, before flinging it's arms wide and dispersing the fire. "Woah...you just took a fireball head on...Oh, right. Use tackle!"

Gible launched itself forward, lowering it's head for the impact.

"That's right! Gible is resistant to fire attacks."

"Holy crap! Houndour can spit fire?!" Taylor's eyes widened, shocked at the the sight of what she had thought to be a strange looking, but otherwise normal dog spitting fire. "Houndour, move!"

"Houn!" Houndour tried to move out of the way, but the sand in his eyes from Gible's previous attack made it impossible for him to dodge. He was knocked backwards from the force of the blow.

"Alright, that's quite enough of that!" Professor Dogwood clapped his hands. "Now, in a real battle you'd fight until your Pokemon fainted. Then, the loser would pay half their money to the winners. And for your fainted Pokemon, you'd take them to the nearest PokeCenter to have the revived. You can also purchase Potions and the like to heal your pokemon of various injuries and such."

"Well, everything I once understood about the world has been thrown out the window...and my bio teacher said I needed to do more work in class. Ha!" Gible looked up at it's trainer, and John gave it a pat on the head. "Impressive, little guy."

"Gible!"

John looked over at Taylor, and grinned. "I think this kinda beats the beach, huh?"

Taylor chuckled, kneeling down so that she was level with Houndour. She scratched the top of his head. "Good job, kid. We'll do better next though, right?"

"Houn!"

She scooped him up and stood. "So now that everything we've ever thought made sense has been hopelessly crushed, what no-"

"MY GOD! THAT BUTTERFREE HAS THE LARGEST WINGSPAN I HAVE EVER SEEN! I MUST MEASURE IT!"

And with that, Professer Dogwood dashed off into the trees, quickly dissappearing from sight.

Taylor blinked a few times, watching the trees where he had dissappeared. "...That guy is freaky."

Jason

The two pokemon came at each other, and Jason was getting a better feel for how they performed their attacks. Abra seemed to be slower than Ralts, and his physical strength didn't seem to be all that impressive. Ralts looked even weaker, but was faster, and used psychic attacks well. Once Abra learned some, Jason was certain that both would be great fighters.

Suddenly, Abra began to glow, and in the next few moments, he began to grow, and change shape, and he suddenly stopped glowing, and some new form of the pokemon was standing in front of him. "Kadabra," the creature said. "Ralts, ralts," Ralts muttered, as if it was more intimidated by Kadabra now. Jason took out his pokedex and looked at Kadabra's info. "Fire punch, Teleport, Confusion, and Disable," Jason read on the list of attacks.

"That's an improvement," he said, and looked to Kadabra. "You finally look awake too. No more clinging to my neck, though." "Kadabra," the creature confirmed. "Well, Kadabra, Ralts, you've done well, you can rest for awhile," he told them, and pulled out the balls. Both of them were bathed in a red light before they dissappeared into their balls. "That's done now, though I don't know what I'm supposed to do here, with fighting creatures... I guess I'll find out sooner or later what people do." He continued down the path, wondering what those losers he ditched were doing now. "Probably nothing, they just seemed like a bunch of geeks, people who can't get things done."

"Really? What was your first clue?" John raised an eyebrow at the girl, chuckling lightly at the strange man who had disappeared just as quickly as he had appeared. "Come on, let's head back." Starting towards the path that had brought them to the lake, John suddenly found himself falling forward on a collision course with the ground. "Crap!"

Gible winced as it's trainer hit the ground, before scurrying to his side. "Gible?"

"I'm okay..." The teen looked at what had caused him to fall over. It was a rather large, brown backpack that someone had left carelessly in the grass. "Who leaves their bloody backpack in the middle of the road?!"

Taylor hurried over to John. "You just don't have any luck, do you?" She set Houndour down, and helped John up. "Maybe it was that crazy professor dude."

Houndour trotted over to the bag, sniffing it and pawing at it with his paw. "Houn..dour houn houn."

Taylor eyed the bag thoughtfully, stooping to pick it up. "Wonder if there's a map in here or something. Cuz that'd make navigating this crazy place a whole lot easier."

((Yeah, I want to be in this, but it's moving too fast and I don't know what's going on. Sorry.))

((If I may say, Shadow Moonseye's character and mine are operating seperatly from all the other characters in this rp, so if it is because of our posts that you're quiting, they're actually don't effect your character, Toko and zukoismybf.

Jason

As Jason traveled, a kid several years younger than him, around twelve or so, came running up to him. "Hey you! I want to battle," he shouted, and Jason already knew that he despised this kid, obnoxious brat. "I'll hit you if you want," Jason said. The kid looked at him funny and then said, "no, a pokemon battle! My Machop against your pokemon."

"Normally I'd turn you down, but I don't know how good I am until I wipe the floor with someone, so I'll humor you," Jason said as arrogantly as he could, and the two went to opposite sides of the imaginary field. "Go Machop," the kid shouted. "Make it quick, Kadabra," Jason called out, and the two appeared between them. The kid glared and shouted, "I don't care if you have a psychic or not, there's no way you're beating me." "Do you ever shut up," Jason yelled back.

"Machop, use Karate Chop," the kid yelled, obviously getting angry. The creature came at Kadabra, and Jason smirked. "Teleport," he commanded. Kadabra dissappeared, and Machop was left looking around. "Focus Power Machop," the kid yelled, and the machop began to focus, when Kadabra reappeared behind him, and Jason gave the command, "Confusion." Kadabra complied and the Machop was caught in Kadabra's attack. After hurting it significantly, Kadabra released it, and Machop rose, shaking, obviously hurt. "Come on, Machop! Low Kick!" Machop tried its best to comply, but Jason was faster. "Teleport, then Fire Punch." Kadabra complied, dissappearing as Machop attacked again, and reappearing behind him, and letting his flaming fist impact the Machop's back. "MACHOP!" The creature fell to the ground, out cold.

"Machop," the kid yelled as he ran to it. He bent down and cradled the pokemon, and said, "you did great, I'm proud of you." Jason scoffed, and said, "you're weak and pathetic, and you're pokemon is doomed to failure as long as you're the one commanding it." He recalled Kadabra, and turned around, walking away as the kid recalled his Machop and glared at Jason.

John dusted himself off for what felt like the hunderdth time today, sighing quietly to himself. "I've got plently of luck...got it coming out the ying yang...just often results in me getting hurt, or something." Pausing his little rant, John looked to Taylor in disbelief. "You're going to rummage through his bag? That's a violation of privacy...and for all we know, he could have something disgusting in there..."

The teen made no move to make her put it down, however, knowing full well that they needed a map and probably a ton of other supplies.

"It's not like we're gonna keep anything we find. We'll just use the map to figure out where we are and then we can figure out where that guy works or something and return it later." Taylor unzipped the bag, knelt, and the dumped the contents of it on the grass.

"Well...looks like...a pair of gameboys, uh...three of those weird red and white ball things, some kind of...hairspray? Some notepads, pens, binoculars, measuring tapes...uh a container of blue berries and...a hell of a lot of granola bars."

She looked up John and shrugged. "I can't see a map though."

Houndour sniffed at the pile of granola bars, nosing the foil wrapped treats. "Houn."

Taylor gently pushed Houndour back. "Don't eat those, they're not ours." She grabbed a notepad, starting to pick everything back up. As she lifted the pad, out slid a rather heavily folded chunk of paper.

Gible looked at the strange peice of paper for a moment, before offering it to John. "Gib?" He took the small peice of paper from his pokemon, and quietly unfolded it.

"Found the map, Taylor." Turning the paper around, he displayed the small paper with a grin. Gible huffed angerily at his feet, not happy about him taking credit for it's find. "According to this, we're in the Sinnoh region, by what must be Lake Verity."

"Oh?" She looked up, quickly finishing cramming everything back into the bag. "Well, we know where we are, so, I guess now we need ot figure out where we're going."

Houndour grumbled, not happy about being denyed his treat. He sat back on his haunches, watching the last of the granola bars dissappear back into the bag.

Taylor stood, slinging the bag over one shoulder. "So, where's the nearest town or city?"

Giving the map a look, John quickly placed his finger on the town. "Sandgem. Twinleaf being the one I came from, and I'd rather not head back there if it's all the same to you." He was silent for another moment or two, before he folded the map back up and stuffed it into his pocket. "C'mon. It's this way."

The hooded trainer started towards the forest not far from the lake-side, Gible happily following behind him.

"Alright. Come on Houndour, we're going this way." Taylor set off after John, Houndour following close on her heels. She quickly drew up so that she was walking next to him when they entered the trees.

"Any idea on how far it is?"

{For the people that don't know what's going on and are staying, you should have each other's Pokemon out, and they should be checking which Pokemon they like. I think it was a pair thing. Then the owners of those Pokemon kind of stick together, like a buddy system or something. I think everyone's travelling together though...ZCF and Lolx3 kind of made it up or started it. Ask them. D}

Syd and Wolf were walking down the road, when suddenly there was a rustle in the tall grass, and a Pokemon jumped out, faceplanting in the middle of the path. "Ralts...!"


Wolf casually walked up to the collapsed Pokemon and started sniffing it. Alarmed, Ralts shot up and started freaking out for a few seconds, before calming down. "Ralts...?"

"O-kay. Didn't expect that...what kind of Pokemon is that anyways?" Syd wondered. "Poochy, poochyena pooch?" Wolf started talking to the Psychic Pokemon like it was trying to ask it something, but the Ralts just teleported away. "Pooch?!"

The Pokemon then appeared on Syd's head. "Ral-lts...!" the Pokemon said, and teleported again. The Ralts appeared, and then reappeared again and again as it continued to teleport in a random pattern near Syd and Wolf, until it finally stopped between the two.

"Whoa, Ralts, you're making me dizzy..." "Poooooch..." The two companions said a little disoriented, and the Ralts just looked up at trainer. "Ralts...?" Syd reached into his pocket and pulled out the empty Pokeball he found. "This will get you to stand still!" he stated, and pushed the small button, only to have the Pokeball shrink. "Oh yeah. It was already big..."

The teen pushed the button again, and threw the ball at wild Pokemon. "Ralts...?" the Pokemon let out before it was sucked into the device. The Pokeball started rocking back and forth on the ground, and making a weird noise.

[[ We were having the 'noobs' pair up with someone more ... advanced in smarts. (lol) Ya, but since Samuel kind of went away ('cause Toko left. D:) I think my character's just going on her own to Sandgem Town... (which is where everyone's going.) ]]

Debbi sighed and continued to walk. She turned and yelled. "Empoleon! Staravia! C'mon!"
Staravia flew over in a heartbeat. Empoleon sadly put Eevee on the ground and started to walk over. She then held out a pokeball. "Empoleon return." When he was safely inside the pokeball I turned to Staravia. "Would it be possible to fly on you?"
It cocked it's head. "Star?"
I smirked.
"Star..."

"Eevee." eevee cried. It ran back to Lily and hopped into her welcoming arms. Espeon bowed down to let piplup ride on it's back.
"Alright, let's get going then." Lily said, checking to make sure that her partners were with her.
"We're heading to sandgem town, please avoid the wild pokemon if you can help it, try to stay with the group, ust call for help if you need it, it shouldn't be too far from here." She said in general, jokingly immitating a tour guide.

"Not a one. Shouldn't be too long of a walk though. Maybe a couple hours at most?" John replied as they pressed deeper into the woods. Gible hung close to him, it's eyes cautiously watching the sourrounding trees for any sign of trouble. "So, why would a researcher have a gameboy on a study trip? Dosen't it kinda distract you from...you know, researching?"

{Oh yeah, right. That was it. And, I could PM Toko and try to explain to her about...Plaguewalker and Shadow Moonseye's posts...?}

"I think I remember this?" Syd said as he watched the ball carefully, until it finally stopped moving. He walked over and picked it up, then examined the ball in his hand for for awhile. "Okay. Cool! Can't teleport your way outta that!"

Syd and Wolf resumed walking, but they didn't get to far when they saw a boy coming from the opposite direction looking pretty upset and angry.

"That jerk!" the boy mumbled angrily. "Hey kid, what's up? You okay?" Syd asked. "No," the boy sniffed. "I'm not okay. You see, I got this Machop from my brother a few days ago, and so I was real happy that I would be able to battle. But just recently, I tried taking on this really tough guy. Ever since I got him, me and Machop trained really really hard, but I still lost." the boy explained.

"Aww, that's not so bad. Everybody loses sometimes." Syd told the kid. "Yeah, but...he said that Machop would never get strong as long as I was his trainer. And maybe he's right. Maybe I'm not good enough..." the boy replied. "No way! You can't just give up on everything because you lost, and because some jerk told you that you'd never get better! Tell you what: You don't pay any attention to that guy, and keep trying to get stronger, and I'll go ahead and teach this guy a lesson. Now which way did he go?

Upon hearing Syd's words, the boy's expression changed from depression, to one filled with confidence. "Alright. Deal! He went that way," the boy pointed down the road," but you might not be able to catch him; he left awhile ago.

"Leave that to me!" Syd exclaimed, as he took out Ralts' Pokeball from his pocket, and released the Pokemon. "Ralts, take us really far that way." Syd commanded pointing down the road. "Ralts..." the Psychic Pokemon responded before teleporting Wolf, Syd, and itself.

((Oh, I only said what I did because I mixed up Toko and ZCF's characters. I thought ZCF's character had left because I thought Toko had her character...it's too confusing to explain. My memory has always been weird. It even conjurs false memories into my brain....O,e))

Saria smiled as Captain jumped onto Espeon's back. "Aw...they're so cute. Well, we should get to Sandgem Town. There, we can get a Pokedex, if this is like the games. I wanna get an Arceus and a Giratina...I want all the Legendaries!!! Even the ones that were only given in those stupid events I could never go to..." Saria said.

((Yeah, if you need a list of Legendaries(Though we won't need them anytime soon), here it is. Serebii.net is one of the biggest(Or the biggest, I'm not sure) Pokemon sites on the web. It's very useful. Take a look around if you want. Oh, and you can say that this RP is also based on Pokemon Platinum in a way, because the game is basically the same(It's basically the third fifth-gen game), except it's based all around Giratina instead of Dialga and Palkia. I'mma PokeNerd. =3))

Lily felt around in her pockets. Finally she found it.
"This is what I'm looking for, it's always been my prize possesion." She said. holding out the card between two fingers, It ws in a plastic casing, a mint-condition ancient mew holofoil card.
"Ancient mew." She said.
