We have to WHAT?! [A Pokemon Rp] [PG-13] [OPEN! 8D]

"Yeah. You'd think having just one would be enough of a distraction. But two? What's the point of that?" Taylor glanced around, before swinging the backpack around and opening it. She fished out the two gameboys and zipped the bag shut again.

Houndour kept close to his trainer, his eyes ever alert for any signs of danger that might be lurking in the shadows of the trees.

John took one of the strange gameboys from Taylor, and casually examined it as they walked. "Never seen a gameboy quite like this..." Flipping it open, the teen stared at the blank screen for a moment before hitting one of the buttons. The screen flickered to life, and the machine hummed to life.

For a brief moment, it was silent, before an animatronic voice spoke. "Please enter your name."

John's eyes widdened for a moment, before he looked to Taylor. "Something tells me this ain't a gameboy."

"Yeah... Definentally not a gameboy." Taylor met John's eyes, before glancing down at the...thing-that-wasn't-a-gameboy. "Uh..Maybe you should do what it says? It might be helpful or something."

She flipped the thing-that-wasn't-a-gamboy that she held open, looking over the screen and buttons. "What do you think it is?" She pressed the same button, waiting on the animatronic voice.

"Please enter your name."

John slowly spelt out his name, and the machine went dark for a moment. Suddenly, it's small camera spun around, and snapped a shot of John. The screen went dark for a breif moment, before the image appeared on screen with his name alongside it. Near the bottom of the screen, he spotted the words "Pokedex. Sinnoh Region." He read aloud, before scratching his head. "Guess it's a pokedex..."

The image of Gible appeared as his name faded away, along with five empty slots. "Wonder how it works...probably something to do with the camera."

Taylor spelt out her own name, waiting for the camera to snap a shot of her. Her image soon appeared on the screen along with her name.

"Okay. So if its a pokedex, its probably got something to do with pokemon."

The picture of Houndour soon took her picture's place, along with five empty slots. "What do you think it does?" She turned it over in her hands, trying to determine what the small machine was for.

Samuel looked at his Gliscor. Out of his six pokemon, he was liking this one the most. He took out his pokedex, then put it back. After all this time he didn't really need a pokedex to learn about pokemon. He knew most of them anyways. Samuel was taking pride in his knowledge and was tempted to through his pokedex out, but he thought he might, just might, need it later.

Crieg and her jolteon Mesmar were lost. It was true. They had no idea how to get out of the forest and into a more civilizated place.

"Mesmar do you know anyways out of here," she asked her partner. She was beginning to think this was real, but that made it all more terrifying. Jolteon looked up at her new master and kind of looked like she shook her head.

Jason

Jason walked ahead on the path, looking over his pokedex. There were six slots, Kadabra and Ralts taking up two of them, so he assumed that he could only get four other pokemon. "What would happen if I caught more, though? After all, if I hadn't even stolen this thing, it wouldn't have any idea how many I had. Is the technology great enough to keep track, or is it this thing can only read six pokemon at a time," he asked himself.

He looked up and saw a city in the distance. "Finally, traveling by foot takes forever," he muttered, and again wondered about the others. Those geeks wouldn't have gotten far, but there were others, who he really didn't know much about. He didn't even know how many of them were on the trip, and how many were here. "As long as they don't get in my way," he decided, "they mean nothing to me."

The pair continued deeper and deeper into the forest, and as silence fell between them while John thought. What could it do? Maybe it just keeps track of what we got...or maybe it teaches how to do stuff? It could very well be absolutly useless to...what did he call us? Trainers? Yeah, trainers. This thing is too confusing... Rubbing the back of his neck with a sigh, he looked down to Gible, who happily marched along, seemingly singing itself a song in it's strange little language.

"Gib Gib Gib Gible! Gib Gib Gible Gib Gib! Gib Gib Gib Gib Gib! Gi-"

"Murkrow!"

"Murkrow!"

"Gah!" Taylor ducked as a large bird swooped at her, seemingly intent on stealing one of her bracelets.

"Houn!" Houndour jumped infront of Taylor, furious about the bird being out of reach.

"Krow! Krow! Murkrow!" The bird swooped around again, buzzing the top of Taylor's head again.

She ducked again. "Hey! Go on, get!" She yelled at the bird, only to have it promptly ignore her and swoop down at the bracelet again. "Houndour! Spit fire at it!" The bird swooped down again, raking her arm with its claws. "Ember, use Ember!"

"Dour!" Houndour opened it's mouth and spat a ball of fire at the bird, which was taken by surprise. The fire ball impacted, resulting in a pained cry from the bird.

"Krow!" It swooped low, pecking Houndour hard on the top of the head.

Syd and his Pokemon appeared on the path not too far away from a city. "Whoa! That was...interesting." the teen commented, unable to think of a better word. "Okay. I hope you teleported us at the right distance. Speaking of teleporting, no going crazy like the last time Ralts."

"Ralts..." the Pokemon replied. It then used Double Team, and created four illusions of itself. "I didn't say you could do that either." Syd replied, and the illusions disappeared. "Ralts..." the creature said. It kind of sounded like it was apologizing. "Alright Ralts. Back in ya go." Syd said and sent Ralts back in its Pokeball. "Okay, I think we went pretty far from where we were at. I don't see that kid anywhere, and there's a city behind us that definitely wasn't there before."

"Poochy!" Wolf barked at the Trainer, and pointed down the path. There was someone walking down the path only a few yards away. "That must be him..."

Jason

Jason felt the presence before he heard it, and turned his head around to see the newcomer. The boy had a Ralts like him, and it seemed to be rather poor at taking commands. He turned around and continued walking, not paying him any more mind. He had had enough of wanna-be losers who thought they were great just because they had pokemon. Jason was great because he had strong pokemon, and apparently great intuition. Of course, he suspected his earlier victory had something to do with the type advatages the aide had explained, but anyone that pathetic, even against a superior opponent, was simply too weak.

"Gible Gib!" Gible stood protectivly infront of it's trainer, intent on attacking the bird if it came towards John. However, Gible soon spotted John racing into the fray, striking at the large bird to chase it away.

"Get outta here! Shoo! Shoo!"

{Henh. I had a feeling he'd blow him off. And what is he, a Dark Jedi? D}

"Hey, wait up!" Syd called out to the boy and ran after him, Wolf following close behind. He ran past the boy and stopped in front of him, blocking his path. "Are you the one who battled some kid with a Machop earlier, and called him worthless?" Syd asked. Then, his concentration was momentarily directed to the Pokedex in the boy's hands. "What's that thing? A Pokedex?" the trainer wondered.

"John!" Taylor cried in alarm. "Be careful! You're gonna get hurt!" With him in the middle of the fight, she didn't want to command Houndour to attack again, for fear of hitting him.

"Houn!" Houndour jumped at the bird, who had turned its anger on John, swooping high, then diving low to peck and scratch at him. "Murkrow!"

The punk dug around in the bag, looking for something to throw at the bird. Her fingers closed on one of the red and white balls and when the bird next swooped down, she chucked it. "Go on, get!"

The ball impacted with the bird, and in a flash of red it disappeared. The ball fell to the forest floor, where it landed, rocking back and forth as though something inside was struggling to get out. After a moment, the rocking stopped and the ball stood still.

"John, you okay?" Taylor rushed over to him, looking him over for injuries.

Jason

Jason just looked at him, before walking around him. "I don't have time to waste on you," he said, not attempting at all to make it sound threatening or anything else. It simply was a statement, simply oozing with the fact he thought Syd was nothing of importance.

((It's okay. I have mine somewhere in my room. I got it when I was five, so I didn't really care about it. But now I regret that....wait, those were given out at the first showing of the first Pokemon movie, correct? I have the little info card that came with it. My brother was so crazy about seeing it, so my grandma took us to see it. I fell asleep in the middle, A). Because it was a night showing, and B). Because I always fell asleep during movies at that age because it was dark.))

Saria smiled. "I never got one, I never liked the movies or the anime much past the first few episodes of the first series. But Mew is just awesome." she said. "Pip!" the Piplup chirped. "I think Captain is hungry, Lily. How about Eevee and Espeon?" she added.

"yeah." Lily said.
"Let's hurry." she said, slightly quickening her pace so they could get there a little quicker.

{If you're talking about the Holo Ancient Mew card, it was actually the second Pokemon movie, Pokemon 2000. The bad guy had one.}

Syd flinched in surprise, before turning around and blocking the stoic teen's path once more. "Dude, I don't care what you do or don't have time for. You're gonna go back and apologize to that kid. Who do you think you are, treating some kid like that?!" Syd demanded. Wolf growled in compliance.

Jason

"Unless you have any authority from the law, I suggest you leave now. I didn't ask for a battle, and I gave my opinion on it after we finished. I'm far within my rights to state an opinion, regardless of how true it is," Jason said, never changing tone, but looking Syd in the eye.

"I'm not going anywhere until you apologize to that kid! Maybe he wasn't that good for all I know, but he worked hard to get where he's at, and you didn't have the right to hurt his feelings like that and tell him that he couldn't get any better!" Syd retorted, disliking this guy more and more by the minute.

Jason

"I refuse," Jason said, and shoved past Syd. "Vigilante, if you continue to get in my way, this will become violent." He was completely serious, though whether he meant to call out his pokemon or use his own fists was not specified.

"Well that's too bad," Syd replied. "'cause whether you like it or not, I'm gonna make you apologize to that kid. Even if I have to use force..." the teen stated as he clenched his left hand into a fist, and drew his right hand closer to his pocket where Ralts's pokeball was located at.

Jason

Jason chuckled at him as he turned around and gave a taunting look. "If you won't listen to reason, then I guess I have no choice." He grabbed a pokeball and threw it, and out popped Ralts. "Ralts," it said angrily, feeding off the emotions Jason was giving off. "Confusion, on the trainer," Jason said. "Ralts Ralts," the pokemon replied as she began to use the power.

Syd flinched when Jason gave Ralts the command to attack him, and quickly pulled out Ralts's Pokeball from his pocket. Before he could release the Pokemon however, Jason's Ralts's attack took effect, and blasted the trainer back quite a few feet; Syd's body skidded to a stop on the ground, and Wolf rushed forward growling towards the Jason's Ralts.

Syd opened his eyes, a look of fierce determination in them. "Hold on Wolf," he told the Dark pokemon and he got back on his feet. "Let's let Ralts take care of this!" he exclaimed and tossed the Pokeball into the air. Syd's Ralts came out of the ball a few feet away from Jason's. "Ralts..."

Jason

Jason looked at the Ralts and at his and brought out his pokedex. After studying the stats of the other one, he put it up without a word. "Double Team," he commanded. "Ralts!" Ralts made a dozen copies around the opposing Ralts. "Now growl," he said. "Raaaallltttsss," all the copies sounded.
