Book 2.5: The Great Fights (Teen) {Open/Spots still open}

"Tell me about it," Aang commented with a frown, "I'm fine. No scratches here."

Azula, Ty Lin, Suki

Azula retreated at once, as did Ty Lee and Ty Lin. They soon disappeared from sight, and the soldiers that weren't unconscious also fled. Suki sighed in relief and walked toward the others.

"We should meet with the others and fly out of Ba Sing Se as soon as possible. The entire city is crawling with occupational soldiers, and I don't want a city full of them to come after us." Suki suggested.

Katara

Katara bit her lip sympathetically as she looked at Haru's chest and realized that he must still be in pain, but if it wasn't going to be life threatening, then at this point she realized that Suki and Mai were right. It was time to leave.

Jet and Haru nodded, the former allowing the latter to lean on him. It was a strange sight and the two were thankful that everyone was more concerned with what just happened and feeling to make any comments.

"You can heal me when we're in the air. For now let's go."

They headed outside seeing Appa in sight. The ones who ran away before were already there which was good.

Rao was mad. She couldn't believe they weren't able to do more damage to the Avatar and his group. But she was also glad. From the look of things there was a lot of them. They would be easy to track down with a large crowd.

"We should take off, and soon," Teo told the others as he got on top of Appa, "We won't survive otherwise!"

Suki

"Agreed. Aang, take us up!" Suki shouted. Jin quickly scambled onto Appa.

Azula

"They won't get far. I'll make sure of that." Azula stated. A tall man walked up behind her. He had a metal arm, leg, and a third eye painted on his forehead. Azula turned to him.

"You know what to do."

The man nodded and left.

Aang nodded and flipped the reins. Although part of him wanted to face Azula right there and then, he knew that they weren't strong enough yet. It'd have to happen another time.

"Appa! Yip-Yip!"

On Ji sat by Zuko, leeching onto his arm. She was still shaken by what had happened. But she didn't regret coming with her half-brother. On Ji would have hated to remain behind.

Toph clung to the saddle sitting near the girl. Sensing her fear Toph tried to encourage her. "Don't worry On Ji. We will be able to take down Azula."

"Damn right," Jet added.

"But I don't want her to die," On Ji replied honestly. "I know she's evil, but she's still my half-sister."

Zuko sighed, frustrated with On Ji, but mostly himself, for being worried about Azula's safety of all people. "Don't worry On Ji, we will be able to beat Azula without killing her. Trust me." He told his younger Sister in a reassuring tone, even though he didn't believe what he was saying.

"Haru, how's your arm now?" Katara asked as she crawled over to check it out and see if she could help.

Suki gave a sigh of relief once they were in the air. Finally, that crisis was over....but now what? Where would they go now? They had all just met by chance at Ba Sing Se. The Northern Air Temple wasn't an option, since it had been destroyed. The Northern Water Tribe then? Kyoshi Island? Their weren't very many safe places left in the world, with the Fire Nation controlling nearly all of it.

"So, where to now?" Suki asked. She looked around the group, but her gaze stopped at Sokka. They...would need to talk about their relationship, soon enough.

"We need to go somewhere where no one would think to look for us," Aang mused aloud, guiding Appa above the clouds to conceal them.

"We could sneak into the Fire Nation. They wouldn't look for us there," Teo suggested with a grin.

"That's just crazy," Aang said, shaking his head, "How would we get into the Fire Nation without anyone spotting us?"

"We need to seperate as well," Toph commented. "I mean I know we just all got back together, but our group is too large. We could be easily spotted and it'd be hard to explain all of us."

"But who would go with who? We would have to make plans and Spirits this is too frustating," Jet said, sighing.

Katara/Mai/Sokka

"Well Aang still needs to finish learning all the four elements, so he needs to stay with his Masters." Katara stated as she looked over at Aang. She didn't want to be away from him again, so she intentionally left out the fact that Aang had already mastered waterbending and technically didn't need her with him.

"And the rest of the white lotus still needs to get the word about the attack on Ba Sing Se in a few months." Sokka stated as he studied the others carefully, trying to figure out if anyone of them would be willing to replace him so he could stay with Katara and look out for her.

"Which means whoever stays behind to do that wont be able to go to the Fire Nation with everyone else of course." Mai added as she glanced at Zuko, who was currently sitting with On Ji.

"I agree with Twinkletoes. He needs to stay with his teachers. So Katara, myself and Zuko are going with him. Anyone else?"

"I don't mind telling the White Lotus about the attack," Haru said. "I'm not needed that much."

"Same," Jet said nodding. "Besides I still don't like the Fire Nation."

"I don't want to leave my brother," On Ji said quietly. "And the Fire Nation is my home. I know it well."

Zuko/Sokka/Mai

Zuko looked down at On Ji and gave her a weak smile before glancing back at the Avatar, wondering how he would accept the idea.

"I'll stay here and help find the lotus. We were making good money anyways." Mai stated after seeing and realizing that Zuko wasn't even noticing her. "Besides, you guys don't know where we'd even go." Mai stated as she looked over at Haru and Jet.

Sokka sighed loudly as he realized that Mai was right about how Haru and Jet couldn't do this just themselves. "Ok then. So Aang, Toph, Katara, Jerkbender and his younger Sister will go the the Fire Nation. Mai, Haru, Jet, and I will stay here in the Earth Kingdoms and finish our job alerting the White Lotus." Sokka stated the general plans aloud before looking over at Suki, waiting for her to state who she would be joining.

(Yesh with Mai gone and Toph finally with Zuko I can have Toko! Even if I have to kill Alec to get it. XD)

"Yeah Suki and Jin," Jet said, poking Jin in the side since she was closest to him. "Where do you plan on going? You're coming with us? I mean if you go to the Fire Nation I'm sure you'll miss my charming personality too much."

Suki closed her eyes in thought, wondering what to do now. Her choice was pretty obvious. With great benders such as Toph, Zuko, and Katara with him Aang wouldn't be needing her help. Besides, Sokka would be with the other group so...

"I'll go with Haru's group." Suki announced.

"I guess I'll go with Haru and the others too," Jin spoke up, knowing she'd be pretty useless among the Avatar's group. Besides, Jet was still training her how to handle her double-bladed sword.

(Psh Magus Sokka is not going with Aang.)

"So Teo you're the only one undecided? Aang or not Aang," Toph asked the cripple. If he didn't go with them she would miss him, just like she would miss the others. Especially Suki, Jin, Jet, Haru and Sokka since she knew Sokka the longest out of that group and she was just recently with the other four. Mai, she didn't know that well, so Toph couldn't say she would miss her.

But she wasn't going to be alone. She would be with Katara and Aang...and Zuko. Speaking of the firebender.

"Hey Sparky are you sure you're face won't be recognize in the Fire Nation? You might need an eyepatch. We could be saying we're traveling with a pirate!"

Zuko/Katara

"Oh yeah, you will be kind of noticeable, wont you Zuko? Guess you can hide with Appa the entire time" Katara stated in a teasing tone with a satisfied smirk on her face.

"Well umm...I'll just wear a disguise then. Like ...she said." Zuko replied, embarrassed as she realized that he didn't actually know all of the Avatar's companions names.

"Hey Sparky I have a name," Toph said, punching him on his arm. "It's Toph. If you forget it...well just don't," she said with a sly look on her face.

Jet smirked when he heard Toph's suggestion. "I wish I could see that. Pirate Zuko. Be lucky no one will know it's you."

((Yes, yes she does. I do wonder what the outcome will be.))

Jin giggled softly at the image of 'Pirate Lee' (she knew his real name was Zuko, but she still liked to think of him as the confused, awkward Lee she knew back in Ba Sing Se).

Suki smiled at Toph's suggestion of Zuko's disguise. She noticed that the sun was starting to set. Night would soon be upon them.

"So, are we going to set up camp for the night before splitting up?" Suki asked.

"I guess I'll stay here. Too much weight for Appa," Teo said with a sigh,"I will miss you guys."

Aang smiled, thinking on it. The Fire Nation was a good place before the war. He wondered how much it changed. He was also glad Katara was going with him. He had missed her a lot. He spoke, "I guess it's decided then."

Zuko/Katara/Sokka

"Right." Zuko spat out nervously in surprise after being punched in the arm by Toph. "But I'm not going to wear an eyepatch or look like a pirate in any way!" He stated loudly as he tried to destroy anyone's misconceptions about whether or not he would be wearing a disguise.

"I think that's a great idea. It'll be nice to have one last night with all of us together before splitting up." Katara agreed with Suki's suggestion as she crawled away from Haru, finished with healing him, and towards Aang.

"Yeah....." Sokka agreed before looking over the edge of Appa towards the horizons. A sudden sadness swept over him as he wondered whether or not he or Katara would see each other after tonight. "After all, if Dad could lose to the Fire Nation, then..." He realized as he glanced towards his Sister, and then towards Suki. "And then Suki...." Sokka noted as well as he began to realize just what kind of danger everyone was in.
