Book 2.5: The Great Fights (Teen) {Open/Spots still open}

Aang grinned as he landed Appa behind the house. He could use a meal. He led the others to the door and politely knocked on it.

((They're already inside. Oh wait, did you not have Aang with the Gaang when they went to Haru's house?))

(I thought they were right above Haru, just incase.)

(Aang is just slow. XD)

Jet opened the door and Haru glared at him.

"What?"

"Do you just randomly open doors without asking who's behind them?"

"It's only Aang," Jet said, not getting why Haru was mad.

"Yeah, but you never know."

"Lover's spat," Toph whispered quietly, laughing at her joke.

"Definitely," Teo told Toph with a grin, "When are we telling Haru's mom they're engaged?"

Aang rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry. I had to get Appa into the barn so he wouldn't be noticed."

"I think tonight at dinner would be good. I feel when someone is eating it's always a good time to tell them surprising news." Toph smirked. It was funny to do that. Toph only wish she could see people spit the food out and their faces, but hearing it was enough for her.

"It's ok Aang," Haru's mother said(no I am not going to give her a name. Deal with it.) as she placed the soup on the table.

Teo grinned at Toph admiringly, "You're bad."

Aang nodded, "Thanks." He took a seat next to Suki and helped himself to some vegetable soup.

"I try," Toph said, taking a seat. Jet and Haru sat down too and began to fill their bowls. Haru's mother asked some questions and Haru told her all he could.

"So you guys are going to see the play. Well I think you might....like it."

"You're tone doesn't sound like we will," Haru said, looking at his mom. She smiled and shrugged. Haru suddenly wondered what the play would be like. It was after all made and performed by the Fire Nation.

"Does the play do justice to Aang, or any of his friends? Knowing it's produced by the Fire Nation, I doubt it." Jin asked. She hoped the play wouldn't be just one giant propoganda scheme.

"Well the Fire Nation seems to be kinder than I thought. The ending wasn't good though," Haru's mother said. Since it was the Fire Nation's play, the Fire Lord won in the ending. "But they don't do anything too outrageous, which is kind of strange, but good."

"Well that's good to hear. I'm not that surprised over the ending though. Probably has Azula winning." Suki said. Still, the play actually being good surprised her. She wondered if it meant anything.

((After seeing the play, 'good' will be the last term they'll think of it.))

Aang chuckled, "Yeah. Do you think they made her nice in the play?"

"I'd highly doubt it," Toph stated. She finished her soup and thanked Haru's mother. Haru shook his head too.

"They might not be rude about Azula's character, but I don't think they'll change it all too much," Jet added.

"True. They'd never dare to insult or make fun of the Fire Lord, unless they want to be buried six feet under." Suki said, finishing her soup. She thanked Haru's mom for it.

((Now will Toph say Jet and Haru are engaged? I've been waiting for that one.))

(Yeah. Me too.)
Teo grinned at Toph mischievously, "So, Toph. Are you going to tell Haru's mom the good news about her boy?"

(Oh my god I forgot Azula was Fire Lord.....god I am so stupid sometimes.)

"Oh yeah. Mrs. Haru's mother, I am pleased to tell you that Haru is engaged to Jet, the boy next to him."

Jet, Haru, and Haru's mother all spit their soup out. Toph had a satisfactory grin on her face.

"Yeah. You should really be thanking, Jet. He managed to pull Haru out of the closet," Teo said with a broad grin before elbowing Aang, "And the Avatar's agreed to perform the wedding."
Aang felt himself smile mischieviously, "It'd be my honor to help out my two friends."

((I nearly forgot that myself.))

Suki had to keep from dropping to the floor and laughing uncontrollablely. Well, that was certainly an interesting thing to say during dinner. Once again Toph proved that she could embarrass anyone.

"Oh yes Mrs, Jet got Haru out of the closet. They haven't been able to keep their hands off each other since." Suki said, stiffling a laugh. Sometimes it could be fun to play along.

Jin couldn't help but giggle at the looks on Haru, his mother, and Jet's faces. Oh Gaia, this was hilarious! Sure, it seemed a bit cruel but...it was funny. Besides, it was all for good fun. No permanent harm done. Well, maybe.

(I can imgaine the wedding now. XD)

"Toph! Why the hell?! I am not getting married to Jet!"

"No need to get so defensive," Toph said calmly. "It usually means you're hiding something."

Haru blushed and was ready to kill Toph. Jet was still in shock. It was both mean and funny. Haru's mother was surprised, but then she began to laugh.

((I wonder what Katara would think, considering she had crushes on those two at the time. If you believe Katara had a crush on Haru. Hm....well, I can't seem to come up with anything to post.))

"Haru you never told me you were planning on getting married," his mother teased. "But I always knew it was going to happen sometime. I'm just glad his husband is so handsome."

Toph turned to Teo and smiled. "Haru's mother is awesome."

Teo grinned and high-fived Toph, "So open-minded too. I was expecting her to freak out."

((Still really can't think of something to post...so, should we be heading to Ba Sing Se soon?))

(Yesh we shall.)

Haru finished the meal, oddly quiet. Then he kissed his mother goodbye, who just smiled and winked at him. Jet was slightly red faced and shot Teo and Toph looks. Toph just smiled when she felt Jet turn her way.

"Well that was fun."

"Will you just shut up, Toph," Haru snapped.

"Oh touchy are we?"

"I think your mom took things well, all things considered," Aang told Haru with a grin.
"Yeah. She's cool," Teo agreed.
