Book 2.5: The Great Fights (Teen) {Open/Spots still open}

"At least it was a girl sitting on my lap," Teo shot back with a smirk, crossing his arms, "But if you're into Jet, go ahead. I'm sure his fangirls and fanboys won't mind."

"Can we not talk about this," Haru said. He was starting to feel like On Ji. Though he could actually make a hole in the ground and sink into it.

"Why? Because it's true and you don't want to admit it?"

"Toph when you get someone or at least get in this situation then you can talk," Haru said, regretting it right away. Toph frowned and a rock hit Haru in the shoulder.

"Ow."

Jin couldn't help but laugh at the antics of the others. She felt a little sorry for Haru and On Ji, but at least Teo wasn't making any cracks about her and Suki, thankfully.

"So, Jin. How are you and Suki doing?" Teo asked, almost eagerly, "Is she showing you some, fighting forms?"

(Oh noes the epic shipping is coming back to this rpg. XD)

Jet heard a low grunt which sounded like a wild hog. Maybe a wild hoar. Jet froze. Now that he thought about it that name sounded wrong.

The animal grunted again and Jet shook his head. "Concentrate Jet. Stop being such a pervert. Thank the Spirits no one is here with me. .... Which means I'm talking to myself. Gah! Focus."

Jin

Jin gave a shrug. "We're fine, I guess. We've settled our...differences over our first encounter. Suki said she'd teach me hand-to-hand combat when she got the chance, too. I also hope to restart my sword training, when Jet gets the chance."

Suki

While setting out to gather firewood, Suki started to haer the sounds of an animal. A boar, she thought. Or perhaps a hog. Either way, Suki put her current mission on hold for the moment and began to track the animal, using her Kyoshi Warrior training to keep hidden. Suki continued to follow it, jumping from tree to tree.

Then, Suki thought she saw the animal. Seeing it was alone and had stopped, the Kyoshi Warrior leapt out of the tree she was hiding in, and proceeded to tackle the animal. Of course, until she had hit it, Suki had no idea she was actually tackling Jet....

Jet was getting ready to attack the hoar. He was sure that it was just beyond a bush when he was suddenly attacked. He fell forward, hitting his head on the ground.

"Oww...."

"How about your relationship with her? Find a holy man for the wedding yet?" Teo teased her with a smirk.

"Hey Jin. I mean you already went on a date. Time to start thinking about your future," Haru added.

Katara

Katara quickly hopped off of Appa and walked away from the others with Aang. As they walked into the forest to look for fruit she tilted her head and smiled at the Airbender, glad to finally be alone with him for the first time in months. "I missed you, you know."

Zuko

Zuko ignored the others as he quickly gathered wood and threw it all into one spot. After the pile was big enough to satisfy the Prince, he took a firebending stance and a weak jet of flame came out, lighting the pile. Zuko sighed in annoyance before sitting down and staring at the flame, trying to figure out why his firebending was so weak now.

Mai/Sokka

Mai and Sokka were both currently in the largest of the Rock Huts Toph had made, currently sorting through supplies that they had taken off of Appa's saddle.

"Hey Mai, do you know where the fishing supplies might be?" Sokka asked as he rummaged through the second bag he had found.

"No." Mai replied, sounding annoyed, as she laid out blanket onto the ground.

"Well will you help me look then?" Sokka asked, a bit of an edge to his voice as he looked up at Mai.

"No, I don't really feel like doing anything right now." The Assassin replied as she laid down onto the palet she had made for herself.

"Come on Mai, don't act like this. We don't need to change everything just because we found Aang now. "We have a pretty good thing going between us. I think we should stick with it." Sokka suggested as he placed the bag he had been rummaging through down and looked at Mai.

The knife-thrower looked up at him with an incredulous expression, surprised to hear him talking to her like this now. "I though we agreed we would just forget about it, Sokka. Why so quick to just change your mind all over again?" She asked, her tone almost sarcastic, Sokka thought.

"I'm not changing my mind. I just think that maybe-"

"No. We agreed on this, I'm not letting you change your mind just because things are getting easier again." Mai cut Sokka off , sounding angry as she chastised the water tribe boy.

"It's because of him, isn't it?" Sokka asked, his face a flushed as he felt angry and embarrassed.

"The fishing supplies are in the bag to your right. Now shut up and leave me alone." Mai replied as she rolled over and looked at the wall.

"Thanks." Sokka mumbled as he grabbed the bag and walked outside.

Toph looked over at Zuko who seem to not be joining in on the fun.

"Hey Sparky something wrong," she asked, taking a seat near him. "You are making fun of the others with us."

"Toph leave Zuko alone."

"Don't tell me what to do."

Zuko

The young Firebender stared at the fire, not even acknowledging Toph until she finished speaking. After a few seconds, Zuko realized the young girl was unlikely to leave and so he looked at Toph and replied bitterly, "I'm fine."

"Really? Because you don't sound fine. I can sense something is wrong with you."

"Sense," On Ji said curiously. "Sounds kind of extreme. Like reading minds."

"It's not like that. I can feel his tension through the ground kind of. Also he's being anti-social so I assumed that something is bothering him."

Zuko

Zuko looked up at Toph and On Ji, wishing that he was anywhere but here at the moment. "My Firebending isn't working." Zuko replied, practically whispering as though if the others heard it would be gone completely. "I mean, I can still make flames and everything, but it's just kind of pathetic at this point. Like me."

"I missed you too," Aang told Katara honestly with a wide grin. He didn't tell her that he had been thinking of her for months, nor did he tell her that he regretted running away again. He had a feeling she knew already.

"Well, my dad would say that something's missing from the equation. What's different right now?" Teo asked.

"At least you can bend," On Ji said softly. Then she went to one of the huts. She didn't want to bother her brother and besides she was tired.

"You're not pathetic. Well if you keep on whining you will be," Toph said.

Suki

"Jet!" Suki cried out in surprise, immediately getting off of him. "I'm so sorry, I didn't realize that was you! I was trailing an animal..."

Jin

"Oh shut up, the both of you! Can't you ever let that go?" Jin huffed, turning away so Teo wouldn't see the blush on her face. Why couldn't anyone ever let that go!? It was just one humiliating moment in her life, but now it seemed to haunt her every day...

((Hm, I just thought of an interesting pairing that, if Teo were to speculate on aloud, it'd certainly mean his doom.))

(What pairing is it? I'm sure On-Ji will protect him.)

((Hehehe, Katoph. No doubt at least one of them would seek to kill him after speculating on it. Though, the mud-fight in Book 3 didn't really help...))

"Hey, Toph. You know, Katara is pretty, isn't she? I'm sure you've noticed. I mean, Aang told me that you two got into a mud fight," Teo noted.

(That was book 3, which hasn't happened because this is 2.5. That doesn't mean the mudfight wont happen later though. )


Zuko

"I have tried, for all my life, to do the right thing. Be a great bender, a great fighter, make my Father proud, then it was find out what happened to my Mother, then it was find the Avatar. I did that, but then I lose him. So guess what happens next? I travel, just chasing him yet never catching him. Then I find out that my father is no longer willing to give me another chance, that he's sending my Sister after me so I that I wont bring him even more shame. Then somehow I end up in Ba Sing Se with my Sister, my ex-girlfriend, my Uncle, and the Avatar. My Uncle tries to save me from my own stupidity and I fail and betray him, even after everything he's done for me. Then I finally find out that I've been on the wrong side all my life. I find my Mom, I find On-Ji, and so I decide that I have to help the Avatar learn Firebending, I convince myself that it's my destiny to help him." Zuko ranted quietly to Toph before stopping to breath. "And now, now that I have finally found the Avatar, now that I can finally help him, my Firebending goes out on me and I am once again useless."

Before Toph could reply, Zuko heard another young boy tease her, thus taking up her time. "Sorry for taking up your time, I'll leave you alone for now." He muttered before standing up.

Katara

Katara smiled serenely, knowing that Aang was being honest with her. "Good", she whispered before leaning away from the Airbender. "Now I think the Babaco trees are to the north-west just a few hundered yards. Those should be appetizing."

(Oh. Let's just say he was making it up then.)

"Good," Aang said happily, grabbing her hand and heading in the direction she pointed out to him. It was good, sometimes, to just act his age.

Toph frowned at Teo. "I can't see anything," she said waving a hand in front of her face. "So how does Katara being pretty matter?"

Then to Zuko she said, "If you're having trouble with your bending then why not just relearn it? You know go to it's orginal source."

Haru looked up from the hole he was slowly digging. "What do you mean?"

"Well it's how I learned. One day when I was young I wandered into a cave. There I met the badgermoles. They were blind like me and used their earthbending to help them."

"Oh. What's the original source for firebending?"

"I get verbally attacked enough," Jet said standing. "I don't need to add physical to the list."

Zuko

"The Dragons are the original source of Firebending. So this doesn't help me, they went extinct during the war." Zuko said, not revealing as to why the Dragons had gone extinct.

Katara

Katara quickly followed Aang, laughing as she ran after him.

(FBM only Toko this time? XD)

"Well maybe you can just find the last place they were or the first people who learned from there and see if anything helps you there," Haru suggested.

"Oh and Teo I never mudwrestled with Katara. Keep your imagination to yourself please," Toph said.
