Succession: Rebellion

Atiya

"What kind of wrestling?" Atiya inquired curiously.

Sten grimaced, rubbing his head. He muttered, "Ashura,, the type that makes babies!"

He grimaced. She was too young to know that bit of information.

Atiya

"Makes babies? What do you mean?" Atiya asked, her full attention on Sten now.

((So, what's happened while I've been gone?))

(It's still simply the second day. Though we're nearing nightfall.)

Brighe

Brighe nodded in reply. "Yes. It should be easier without the Qunari following us everywhere...."

Carlisle paused as he contemplated what Mab was saying. "....I suppose we'll just have to camp in the wilderness. Admittedly, I have almost no experience with this...."

Senka

Senka glared at Nell, staring at the Inu for a few minutes before speaking. "Well then, how did you get in this extremely important mission? Are you one of the Trackers trained by the Empire? Or are you just a friend of C.C.?"

Syrien

"Indeed." Syrien commented. Brighe and Syrien soon continued their way to the town's market to buy more supplies.

"You know," Syrien began as an idea came to him, "I may have an idea of how to make sure Rein and Kegan don't run off every few seconds to be alone anymore, or for at least a few weeks."

Kegan

"We brainwash them?" Brighe inquired as she looked up from the tarp she had been observing.

Syrien

"There's that," Syrien admitted with a smirk, "Or we could use a certain spell I remember hearing about in my youth. One of my previous masters had a most...adventurous, to put it nicely, daughter. Once she turned sixteen, she started sleeping with many of the servants. Before you ask, no, I was not among them.

My then master, to prevent his daughter and himself from losing any more dignity and to prevent her from becoming pregnant, cast a type of chastity spell on her. I do not remember the name of it, but I can easily look it up. Anyway, the spell worked well for him. Perhaps we can use the same or a similar one for our wards." Syrien suggested.

Brighe

Brighe bit her lip; slightly confused at what Syrien meant. "This...chastity spell. How does it work? Will Kegan and Rein be aware that something is wrong? And by doing this, will we be betraying our wards trust in a way where they might not forgive us?"

Sten sighed. He wasn't liking how this was going. He was a warrior of the Beresaad, not a babysitter.

"Why don't you ask them?" he asked her.

Syrien

"It depends on the type of spell you use, but they all work the same way. Though...it may cause more harm than good, on second thought. We should probably only use them as a last resort. It'd probably be better to have a talk with them together, explain to them their new responsibilities as parents." Syrien said. He was liking that idea better than the chastity spell already. After all, he truly did not want to give Rein any more reason to despise him for having been so 'embarrassing' to her when she and Kegan had first started dating.

Atiya

"Why can't you tell me?" Atiya protested, giving the Qunari the most pleading look the toddler could muster. She sure was interested now; it wouldn't be fair, in Atiya's opinion, for Sten to suddenly drop the subject.

Annak stood on a rooftop in the lower city, a young boy with a sword standing across from him. The two were panting after having a fierce fight. "You're pretty good." the boy said. Grinning. Annak wore a smile across his own face. "Not bad yourself." he replied. The two boys walked over to each other.

"Alright, here's the information. You've certainly earned it." the boy began, sheathing his sword, and wiping the sweat off of his forehead. "There's a rebellion hiding in the mountains to the north. It's pretty hush hush, and it's mostly the empire that knows about it. But we have our ways of getting info." the boy explained. Annak nodded. "Thanks, I think I'll head over there and join the fight." Annak replied, and turned away, beginning to leave.

"Hey! You could always help us here! My gang is looking for a somebody who can use magic!" The boy called. Annak turned his head.

"Sorry Micha, but I think I need to bring the fight here." he said. "But I'll be back." he said. A white dog crawled up onto the roof.

"Well at least tell me your name." Micha, demanded. Annak smiled at him, as Amarok came to his side.

"I'm Astair." he said, and pulled the amulet out of his shirt. "The chosen heir to the throne." he claimed. Micha chuckled. And pulled the sword off of his belt.

"Well mister chosen heir, you might need this." Micha said, tossing the sword to Annak, who caught it by the sheath. "Take care of her, she was my father's. Name's Elisa, my mum's name, before she died." he told Annak. "She's got some kind of magic on her, but I don't know what. Maybe you could make some use of it." he said.

"Thank you Micha, I'll bring it back some day." He replied, and then broke into a run, alongside Amarok. Amarok ran ahead and jumped off of the rooftop. "Come to me! Elsu!" Annak called, and jumped off the roof after Amarok, and propelled himself through the air with a burst of wind, that sent up a cloud of dust. He landed on the back of a giant falcon, and set his sights for the mountains. Elsu, Talons of the Sky, had proven himself useful, ever since he had been obtained, and had been a key element in getting to the Capitol. If they really tried, they could arrive at the mountains by nightfall, or at least somewhere close.

Brighe

Brighe nodded in agreement. She may have been frustrated with her Nephew and his lack of pragmatism or self-control. But brainwashing him and Rein didn't seem like the right thing to do. Though she would never admit that to anyone.

"Great. You can carry the tarp." Brighe responded.

Syrien

"Very well." Syrien replied.

"Because I'm not your father," Sten told her stoically, crossing his arms, "This is something your parents tell you."

Atiya

"Ok...." Atiya pouted, crossing her arms and sticking her tongue at Sten.

((Now, I think, would be the perfect time to have Rein and Kegan come back, and have Sten make a hasty retreat so he doesn't have to face them.))

As Annak and the currently Elsu flew through the air, Annak heard Elsu's voice in his head. "I see a hell of a lot of soldiers down there. I think they're headed the same way we are."

Annak had spaced out a little bit. "Really? Then we should hurry up. Don't want to get there after The rebellion has been wiped out." he said. Elsu had slowed down a bit, observing the group. "What's wrong?" Annak asked. Elsu shook his head.

"It's nothing, it just feels like I've seen one of them before. Some girl in a carriage." Elsu replied. Annak chuckled.

"Must be Senka, that bitch of an assassin that Amarok beat the crap out of." Annak replied. Annak then had a mischievous thought, grinning childishly. "Hey Elsu, how about doing a fly by? Just let the pesky Empress's pet know where we are." Annak suggested. Elsu sighed.

"Sometimes I worry about you Annak." he replied, and then folded his wings in, and began a dive. Elsu became as straight as an arrow, and plummeted at high velocity towards the carriage. "HOLD ON!" He screamed to Annak, who was doing so, as hard as he could, but despite the danger, his smile was wide, as the wind ran through his hair. Before they could crash into the carriage Elsu began to pull up, so he wouldn't cut it in half, by diving straight into it. Elsu gave a heavy wing beat, that sent up a cloud of dust around the carriage.

"Long time no see dog food!" Annak called from over the carriage. Elsu then beat his wings the propel them forward, it was a slow start to speed back up, and if it hadn't been for the cloud of dust, there would be guards all over them, but Elsu got back up to speed in no time, flying right over the heads of the the knights, buffeting them with wind. Annak caught sight of a couple of girls on a horse at the front. "Slow up a bit!" Annak ordered, and Elsu slowed slightly, long enough for Annak to give a flirtatious grin to the girl in behind. The other was in fact the mage he had seen in the palace the other day. The convicted man's lover, he believed. Or so she had been pointed out as, by Tsuba. "Afternoon ladies!" He called, before Elsu picked up speed again, and began their ascent back into the sky.

(What have I missed regarding my characters?)

(Well, for Nell, I know you missed Senka being a generally mean person to him, and my character indirectly throwing dust in his face. Other than that I'm not sure.)

(EDIT: Carlisle was talking to Mab, but that's about all I know. You have Sunny as your other character right? I don't believe anything has happened with her.)

Brighe

"Great." Brighe replied before she walked on and continued the shopping.

Senka

Senka was already out of the carriage seconds after she had heard the Spirit's wings flapping. She quickly ran to the front of the Caravan and jumped onto a young girl's horse as the Heir flew away. Realizing that there was no way she could catch up with the boy in time, Senka quickly threw a few knives towards the boy, two at the boy himself and another above him just in case he tried to fly up and dodge.

Kegan

"Well.....we're back before Brighe or Syrien." Kegan commented in relief as him and Rein walked into the room. The Half-Elf was currently holding his shirt and Rein's shoes, and both of the young Adult's looked rather disheveled. Still, everything seemed to be alright, and Kegan knew that they hadn't gained anyone's attention.

Rein

"Yep." Rein replied with a contented smile on her face, despite her ruffled appearance. She noticed Atiya was awake now, sitting up on the bed on the far side of the room.

"Hi Mommy, Daddy!" Atiya cried cheerily, waving excitedly at them. Rein waved back.

"Hello, Honey. How are you doing?" Rein asked, straightening out her clothes. She looked over at Kegan and nudged him in the side, motioning for him to put on his shirt.

"Fine! What were you and Daddy doing?" Atiya asked curiously. Rein blushed but she quickly came up with an answer for her daughter.

"We were...taking a walk. Right Kegan?"

((I'm going to assume Sten's left now, if you don't mind, AI.))

Annak noticed Senka following them, and saw the first knife thrown. "Elsu! Up and out!" He ordered the giant bird, who swiftly, and masterfully flew upwards, unknowing of the second dagger, that nailed Annak in the shoulder as they flew upwards. Annak howled in pain as the knife sunk into his flesh, and fell backwards off of Elsu. Annak was afraid for the first time that he would fall to his death, but Elsu's taloned feet caught his own, suspending him upside down. Two things proceeded to fall from Annak's person. The amulet, which he quickly grabbed, and a ring. His mother's ring. All he had left of her, that was actually hers and hadn't belonged to his emperor father. Annak reached out to grab it, but it slipped past his fingers, and plummeted towards the earth. They would find it. They would show it to some hunting dogs. They would track Annak. They could do it. But worst of all, they would find his mother's name. Ikkuma. And his own, Annakpok, engraved on it.

Senka/Katie

Senka growled in annoyance as she realized that not only had she missed the boy's spine, but that the Spirit he was flying on had saved him as well. But something caught the Warrior's eyes, falling from the boy's hands. Senka ran ahead from the crowd. As Senka searched amongst the grass for whatever had fallen, Katie sat on her horse beside C.C. and looked on, very confused.

"Well....who was that?"

"Yes. A very, very, long walk."

Rein, Atiya

"Right." Rein said, giving Kegan a cross look for a moment. Atiya nodded after a moment. Rein took her shoes back from her fiance and began to put them on.

"Ok. I thought you might be making babies, like Sten said he thought you were doing."

Rein froze in her task of putting on her second shoe. As a result she lost her balance and went sprawling onto the floor.

"W-W-W-W-What was what, Atiya?" Rein asked in a mixture of fear and embarrassment, desperately hoping she had heard the little girl wrong.

"Sten said you were making babies! Were you?" Atiya asked curiously. Rein fumbled for her other fallen shoe and looked up at Kegan, hoping he had some idea how to answer their daughter's question.
