Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

Jet knocked on Suki's door. Well it wasn't really her door, but whatever. He was bored still and he couldn't find Haru. He wasn't going to bother Zuko or Mai. Not with them on edge. So he thought he'd bother Suki.

(I think so.)

Suki opened her door, raising an eyebrow at Jet's appearance. She spoke, "Hey, Jet. What do you want?"

Toph sighed into his kiss and grabbed his collar, pulling him closer to her. She returned his kiss with everything within her.

"Um... Lord Sokka, Lady Toph?" asked a voice from behind them.

Sokka blushed, having returned the kiss so thoroughly the that he didn't notice the guard. He pulled away and turned around.

"Um... Fire Lord Zuko requests your presence," the guard stated, scratching the back of his head nervously, "I could tell him you're busy..."

"You could..." said Toph, irritated that the moment had been ruined. She sighed, taking in several deep breaths to compose herself. "I guess we should go see him though, huh?" she asked Sokka.

"I guess we should," Sokka told her with a sigh, signaling for the guard to leave, which he did rather gladly. He gripped her hand and muttered, "So that's why people get a room."

"We'll have to remember that next time," she said. She began walking down the hall. "Let's go see Zuko then. Before they sent more guards after us."

Sokka grinned, not because they were going to see Zuko, but because of what she just implied. Next time. There will be a next time and he couldn't help but enjoy the thought.

He followed her wondering aloud, "Wonder what Zuko wants."

She shrugged. "Only one way to find out. Maybe it has something to do with last night. Weren't they supposed to interrogate that Blue Spirit guy?"

"I think so. I don't envy the man," Sokka told her, frowning slightly. He was still angry at the man for trying to kill Toph. If something happened to her, he doesn't know what he'd do.

"It would've been interesting to watch, at least," she said, chuckling. She had caught the tone of his voice, however, and stopped. "You okay?"

"Nothing," he told her, blushing slightly, "I was just scared of losing you last night, you known, when I saw the dart heading towards you."

Toph offered him a small smile. "I'm okay, Sokka. Thanks to you." She decided if he was going to be truthful with her, she should be truthful with him. "I was scared, too, you know. You were actually dying."

"I know. I don't think I had ever seen you so scared or so angry," Sokka admitted, smiling back a little, "I would have been touched if I weren't choking on my own spit."

He laughed a little, it being funny now that he looked back on it. He looked at her gratefully, "Thanks for saving my life."

"You saved me first," she said, shrugging. She still smiled at him, however. "I was just glad I got to you in time."

"Yeah. Me too," he told her with a grin before, impulsively as ever, he kissed her again before pulling away, not trusting himself to kiss her longer lest they get distracted.

Toph blushed, smiling. "I think I could get used to that," she said, both shyly and teasingly. She wasn't use to this sort of affection, after all.

"Yeah. Me too," Sokka told her with a blush and a large grin as they entered the room that Zuko was currently in. He just wondered what he had to say.

"I don't know. I'm bored and the guards are giving me weird looks all the time which is making me feel very uncomfortable. So I thought I'd annoy you."

Haru looked over at the person who just arrived and frowned. It was that masked guy. Shizuka half smiled, half frowned.

"Don't like being cooped up?"

"Hey, Zuko. Hey, Mai," greeted Toph, as she and Sokka walked into the room. "Guard said you wanted to see us?"

"Yes," Mai said dryly, "And he looked rather disturbed when he reported back.

"Yeah, well, we were busy doing something," Sokka told her lamely, blushing a little. Mai almost gagged but years of not showing emotion kept her composure.

"Next time get a room," she told him with a frown.

"Yeah, we know that now," Sokka muttered, ears red.

"Great," Suki said, trying to hide her room from view. If he found out that she was having a talk with Ty Lee in here, he'd get the wrong idea.

"Yeah, well, it's sort of awkward to have swords half-drawn just incase I try to make a run for it," he said with a shrug.

"You don't have much room to lecture us," said Toph, also flushing with embarrassment. "You and Sparky aren't exactly secretive when it comes to how much you have the hots for each other."

"That's different," Mai told Toph, a thin smirk appearing on her face. She gestured to the crown she had to wear in her hair, "One, we're married, and two, we're royalty."

"So?" Toph returned Mai's smirk. "Sokka's heir to his throne, or whatever the heck they call it down there, and I'm basically about as rich as you guys. Sorry, honey. That don't count. And we all know you still sucked face when you were just horny teenagers."

Mai felt her face grow hott and looked away. She had to respect Toph. She was the only one that would dare talk to her like that. She crossed her arms and argued, "We were making up for lost time. Besides, we never traumatized anyone."
