Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

"How can kissing traumatize anyone? We weren't tearing each other's clothes off, were we?" Toph smiled again. "And maybe we're making up for lost time too. Don't think I've forgotten about all those jokes they made about sexual tension or whatever when it came to us."

"Well, I do aim to relieve sexual tension," Sokka commented with a grin, taking Toph's hand and squeezing it. He turned to Zuko, "So, why'd you bring us here?"

Zuko held up his hands as if that motion could stop the two girl's discussion.

"Focus girls. We have more serious issues to attend to. Sokka, and maybe Toph, do you know of a man named Hahn?"

"Well you're welcome to join us," Shizuka said. Haru looked at her as if she was crazy. Why was she being so nice to him? He tried to kill them all!

"Can I come in," Jet asked, trying to look over Suki's shoulder.

Sokka froze, that name disturbing memories he thought he had put away long ago, about he North Pole and Yue. He frowned.

"I know of one. There are probably a million Hahn's though. What about him?" he asked.

"Thank you, beautiful," the Blue Spirit told her before sitting next to her. He nodded at Haru, "Sorry about the little fiasco last night. Wasn't anything personal."

He said this not sounding very sorry at all but truthful about the second part.

"No!" Suki cried before blushing under her facepaint, "I mean, no. It's a lot nicer out here. More... Fresh air."

Toph had easily noticed Sokka's reaction to the name. It worried her, and she wondered what was bothering him. Right now, though, she kept her mouth shut. They had to hear what needed to be said, and maybe Sokka would explain later.

"Fresh air? In the hallway," Jet said, eyebrows raised. He was wondering if Suki was trying to hid something. "Well ok then. So are you going to stay here and help? I'm sure Zuko will need all the help he can get if his sister is really free."

"The Blue Spirit said that a man named Hahn was to pay him after he completed his job. It seems that whoever this Hahn is he's in league with Azula."

"It's ok. I'm used to being attacked," Haru said. It was true. Not everyone was pleased with how things were now still.

Shizuka blushed and looked out over the pond.

"Do you like turtleducks?"

"Okay... Does that sound like your Hahn, Sokka?" asked Toph, turning somewhat towards him. She had an odd quirk of usually never really looking at people she talked too, though she did make the effort to give some clue as to who she was talking to.

Suki nodded, "Of course. I can't just go home knowing that a psychopath like his sister is on the loose, can you?"

"They're good target practice," the Blue Spirit told her with a smirk beneath his mask, purposefully making sure that no one can tell if he's joking or not.

Sokka grimaced, "Yeah, it does, if Azula offers him enough 'perks'."

He crossed his arms, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"No. But if I keep getting strange looks from the guards I swear I'll punch one of them."

Haru thought Shizuka would be offended, but she laugh instead.

"Don't let Zuko hear you say that. He loves them. I can remember us feeding them with his mother." She stopped laughing. "I can't believe Azula is free."

"Good," Zuko said nodding. He now knew that if he had to confront Hahn that he knew people that knew him. This would be helpful. But it still didn't tell him where he would find his sister and anyone allied with her.

"Did the Blue Spirit ever say where he was going to meet up with this Hahn guy?" asked Toph. She was very tempted to ask Sokka more about Hahn, but something told her that maybe it was a personal, private matter.

"Somewhere in the Earth Kingdom," Zuko said. "And he might be there if news of the Blue Spirit's defeat didn't get out."

Sukil laughed a little, "It'll be fine. It's sort of what you get, though. Your reputation is sort of grey, you know, a lighter shade in the Earth Kingdom, a darker one in the Fire Nation for obvious reasons."

The masked man shivered, "She's scary. I have to admit that it would be exhilarating to kill her or at trying to. I'm just scared of her keeping me alive if I try it."

"Gaoling," Mai stated, "He said he would be staying with a rich family or noble family there."

Sokka groaned, "I was afraid of that. It sounds just like him."

"But Gaoling is where I'm from!" said Toph. She swore. "I'd bet my championship belt that the noble family he's staying with is mine."

"He's probably trying to court you," Sokka told her darkly, "He was doing something similar when I met him with Princess Yue? Did we ever tell you about our adventures in the North Pole?"

"Katara sort of talked around it. She said I'd have to ask you about Yue if I wanted to know about her," said Toph, shrugging. She had never felt comfortable broaching the topic either, since she figured it hurt Sokka.

"Yue was the Princess of the Northern Water Tribe. I really liked her, might have loved her. I don't know," he told her with a faraway expression on his face, "She was touched by the Moon Spirit when she was a baby so she could live. When we got there, she was engaged by Hahn, who wanted her because of the power it would grant him in the Tribe. Zhao attacked the North Pole and killed the Moon Spirit, but Princess Yue gave her life in exchange for ressurecting it and she became the Moon Spirit herself."

"Yeah. I just hope the others are ok," Jet said, his mind going to the Freedom Fighters. He knew that most of them could take care of themselves, but he was still worried.

"I'd doubt you could," Shizuka said. "I mean I don't know how good you are and I haven't seen Azula in a long time. But I know she was a good fighter. Add in her being insane and well....I wouldn't want to cross her path."

Haru nodded, staying out of the conversation.

Zuko took in the information with a frown. He knew what he had to do, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to do it. Sokka's words brougt back memories of his time at the North Pole. He remembered seeing Zhao die.

"I think we should head to the Earth Kingdom. Hahn might know where Azula is."

Toph was more than shocked by the quick, concise tale. It sounded like something out of a fable, but she knew it was the truth. Sokka's heartbeat thudded in her ears, and she knew, without a doubt, that he was still hurt by the memories.

It explained why he was always out looking at the moon, late at night.

Zuko said what she was already thinking.

"I was headed there anyway. It'd be a good cover for you guys anyway, so he doesn't run off."

"If you're sure," Sokka told her with a frown, calming down a little and shaking his head from the memories, "Your parents could be trying to marry you off again and if he sees me, I think Hahn would be even more aggressive in trying to get your parents to promise you to him."

Toph snorted. "Don't worry so much about me, Sokka," she said. "I can handle myself. You guys could just hang low until we're sure he's at the estate, and then we can get the info outta him. Piece of cake."

Sokka smiled a little, "Well, I think I would like getting the information out of him more than I should. I wager that's your influence."

He smirked at her, regaining his good cheer.

"But we shouldn't all go. Someone should stay here incase Azula tries to have it attacked again," Zuko pointed out.

"At least someone's admitting I'm a good influence," she said, returning his smile. To everyone, she added, "I'll head out right now. If he's really wanting to play at courting me, it works better if I'm actually there. I can keep him around, maybe even drag him to you guys, or whoever comes with me."

"I...I think I should go," Zuko announced. "I know that by leaving I'm putting myself in danger, but if Hahn can lead us to where Azula is I have to be there. I'm one of the few people who may be able to stop her."

Sokka smiled a little. Knowing Toph, he should have known that she'd take what he said as a compliment.

Mai scowled, "You are not leaving here to mind the house, Zuko. I did not get married just to be left behind."
