Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

"Exactly. Good to know you understand," Sokka told her with a laugh, "If only there were more people like you."

"Well, there's no denying it would be a more awesome world if there were." Toph laughed too. "Seriously though, you're pretty smart. If anyone can figure out why things work the way they do, it'd be you."

Sokka blushed, beaming at her praise. He decided that he liked how she called him smart and handsome. He grinned, "I know I will. If only there were more of us both in the world."

"Eh, maybe," she said, tapping her chin. "But then we wouldn't be unique. I say you should be glad you're one of a kind, Snoozles."

"Eh, that's true," Sokka told her with grin, "I can't imagine if there was someone like me besides me. He would be my evil twin, the anti-Sokka."

"The anti-Sokka wouldn't be such a klutz, either," she teased, poking him again. She had noticed how he had reacted before, and it amused her to think he might very well be ticklish. "And an optimist. Sounds pretty boring to me."

Sokka squirmed, suppressing a noise in his throat. He wasn't about to encourage her. Who knew how she would use such an advantage over him. He shook his head, "And the anti-Toph would be spoiled and vain. Sounds scary to me."

She shivered. "Yeah. Same here. A girly me can only mean the end of the world is coming." She grinned, mischievously at that. "Are you ticklish, Snoozles?"

"Um... No?" Sokka told her, though it sounded like a question. He cursed. He only hoped that Toph couldn't tell he was lying since they were in the water.

She laughed again. "I don't need to hear or feel your heartbeat to know you just lied. That was obvious, Snoozles!" She poked him again, still grinning. "C'mon. Just admit it, and maybe I'll stop."

Sokka squirmed. Part of him wanted to admit it so he wouldn't be humiliated, but the part of him that was a man refused to admit defeat. He shook his head, "I have nothing to admit to. I'm not ticklish."

Toph let loose a dramatic sigh. "Hey, don't say I didn't warn ya," she said.

She grinned.

And immediately started tickling him, wherever she could reach.

Sokka couldn't help squirming as he tried but failed to escape her hands, laughing a little as she found the right spots to tickle him at. He squirmed again and reached for her sides, grinning a little when he made contact.

"Two can play at this game," he told her with a grin.

Toph blushed when his hands touched her, and then she burst out laughing. She shoved him out and away from her.

"Don't even think about it, buddy boy!"

"Why not?" Sokka asked her with a smirk, moving closer to her, "You tickle me, I tickle you. It's called equality."

"Since when did that matter?" she said. She splashed towards where she had last heard his voice. It was hard to tell where he was coming from, thanks to all the stupid water and the stupid sand. "You trying to make it look like we're a couple, or something?"

Sokka grimaced as some of the water landed in his mouth by chance. He gagged a little, murmuring something about it being salty.

"Well, we're kind of between that and not a couple, but I was speaking in the interests of fairness," Sokka told her with a shrug, "You tickle me, I tickle you, you hit me, I hit you. That sort of thing."

Toph splashed at him again.

"Fairness? Who said anything about being fair?" She splashed again, laughing. "Ha! I'm kicking your butt right now, Snoozles!"

"Only because I'm letting you," Sokka told her with a grin. He recognized a challenge when he saw one. He splashed back but made sure to stay in one place. Hey, one of them had to be fair and he knew he'd have an easier time dodging in the water than she.

She was immediately soaked again. Sputtering, she tried to find out whether or not he was staying in the same place. It felt as if he were, so Toph splashed in that direction again.

"Not for long!"

"If you say so," Sokka told her, ducking his head so he didn't get his eyes wet. He knew from experience salt water stung them. He splashed with a laugh.

She heard him move the water and tried to step to the side, but she still ended up getting hit again.

Maybe challenging him to a water-war had not been the greatest idea in the world. He had the clear advantage, after all.

Toph wasn't about to give up just yet, though. She started splashing at him, and continued splashing at him.

Sokka spluttered, getting hit by more and ore splashes of water. She was certainly fast with her hands when she wanted to. He splashed back, taking advantage of his height and longer arms to counter her attack.

She almost expected him to fire back with just as much ferocity. Before long, they were both soaking each other. Toph, unable to stop laughing, finally waved him off.

"Okay, okay, I'll give this one to you, Snoozles!" she said. She pushed back her wet hair. "But just this once, mind you."

"Of course," Sokka told her with a smirk, knowing that he was going to bring this up every chance he got. It wasn't often he won something with Toph. He would be justified in gloating about it.

"So, what do you want to do now? Did either of us remember to bring a towel?" Sokka asked her.
