Mahurio (Haru) and Mia

Oh Kami, as if this day hadn't been bad enough, now they had to worry about bandits?! Fate just seemed to hate Mahurio today...

Haru, unintentionally, spat off several curses in Chinese. After taking a breath to calm himself, Haru decided what to do. He turned to the villagers nearby and began to issue orders.

"Oburio! Take the women, the elderly, and the children away from the village, to the nearest town, as fast as you can. In case we fall here, we must warn the nearby garrison. Tsumie! Get whatever help you can and gather what food we can take, and join those fleeing. Takeru! Rally the men together, and grab whatever we have that can be used as a lethal weapon. Even hoes will do. Go, now!"

Those who had been called scrambled into action, going as fast as their legs could carry them. Haru turned to Sanjuro, his granddaughter, and the two mystery samurai who seemed to want to help them.

"No, I am sorry, I can't think of....wait, I think I may have an idea for a trap for the bandits. Thank, all three of you, for offering your help. I hope with three skilled samurai such as yourselves will help us win. Anika!"

Mahurio turned to his granddaughter. "I lost your mother, but I will not lose you! Get your brother, and leave with the others. Now!"

Anika nodded and glanced at the three samuris before running off. She wanted to stay, but she wouldn't go against her grandfather. She ran into the house and nearly dragged her brother out the door.

"Where are we going?"

"With the others. I know you would want to fight, but you can't."

She could see that he was about to protest and Anika shook her head. As they headed out and went with the fleeing villagers she explained what was happening.
------------------
Ketsuki knocked on the door and waited. Soon a small child answered the door. Not someone who she knew. The samuri looked over her head into the house which looked different. Ketsuki was sure she came to the right house.

"Hello lady? Are you looking for someone?"

"The Momoshikiya family."

"Oh they don't live here," the girl told her brightly. Ketsuki frowned. Her family moved and didn't send news? That was odd.

"Do you know where they are?"

The girl shook her head and then another female voice called out. The girl looked behind her and then to Ketsuki.

"Sorry I couldn't help you lady," she said before shutting the door. Ketsuki sighed. What was going on?

"You know, Haru, she is skilled enough to help us here. She might be even more skilled than us...Or...Is that the very reason why you have her escorting her brother....Now, Tell us that plan of yours" Sanjuro grinned and crossed his arms

Mahurio (Haru)

"Tell me, how fast can you all dig?" Haru asked, thinking over the plan in his mind.

Username: Velox
Character: Gouki Natsura
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Apperance:
Which Side: Neutral (Ninja)
Personality: Gouki is normally pretty quiet, but can still carry a conversation. He knows the value of discipline, but always loves a good challenge and can be rebellious at times like his Senpai. As a ninja, Gouki trains hard, but is pretty laid back most of the time. When it is necessary to kill, Gouki will not hesitate at all. However, he does not kill without reason and is open-minded, looking for other ways to solve problems.
History: Gouki was originally born in the Takeda district. However, his parents were both vagabonds so they travelled around a lot. His mother often got work as an entertainer, and his father a bodyguard position. As the boy grew older, he began to help out to find work on his own. When Gouki was 15 however, his father was employed to an unfortunate man who had been forced into debt by a ruthless Yakuza group. When the client couldn’t pay, the Yakuza attacked him. Despite his father’s competence and skill, he was no match for the more experience gangsters, and they killed him. Enraged Gouki attacked the Yakuza, but they made short work of him. Before they could kill him however, his mother promised to sell her body to them inorder to pay for the previous client’s debt, as long as they let him live. They agreed, but they made Gouki their servant and demanded interest for the son’s actions. For a full year Gouki and his mother tolerated the Yakuza’s treatment, desperately trying to escape from the bottomless pit that they had thrown themselves into. A year later, Gouki’s mother had been consecutively the desire of the Yakuza members for a night, and pleaded for a moment to rest. Her humble request was unfortunately made out to a rather short tempered gangster who then killed her, letting his impatience and irritation get the better of him. When Gouki found out, he attacked the man and killed him in another fit of rage. After realizing what he had done he attempted to escape, the Yakuza hot on his trail and thirsty for revenge. Gouki nearly lost them in a bamboo forest, but the gangsters managed to entrap him. Gouki would’ve died for sure, if it was not for a certain kunoichi named Anika Yurinao. The female ninja had just finished a mission with a superior and was headed back to their fortress when she spotted the orphan in trouble and purposely disobeyed her superior to save him. Because of her actions however, Anika was ordered to guide Gouki and train him in the ways of the Ninja. At first, both of them were reluctant, but over time the two grew close.

Username: Velox
Character: Takeda Yurinao
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Apperance: Doesn’t look quite like this yet. His usual attire consists of dark brown trousers, a dark olive jacket with a black undershirt, and sandals with wool socks. He often wear a white headband as well.
Which Side: Deserter Army (Or atleast would like to be.)
Personality: Takeda is a courageous, albeit impulsive young man. He shares many personality traits with his sister such as being stubborn and reckless, yet showing respect towards their grandfather. He may be headstrong, but he knows the importance of hiding his existence from the Makasumi Clan, even though he would much rather fight them. Unlike his grandfather and sister, Takeda believes in the Deserter Army and that they should drive the Makasumi Clan out of the country forever. However, he knows that this will only come from the great strategizing of Musashi Hojo, the leader of the Deserter Army and his new Sensei.
History: Takeda led his life as best as he could under the harsh rule of the Makasumi Clan, helping his grandfather out in the field, and playing with his sister Anika. Eventually, Takeda had reached the age where he would be recruited into army and his existence had to be kept a secret from the clan. This was hard on Takeda, who felt that he was strong enough to fight and hated staying back in the shadows as the Makasumi Clan did whatever they pleased. He tried protesting with his grandfather about this matter, but the village leader’s would not let Takeda take any action whatsoever, and for good reason. When Anika had decided to head out on her own inorder to get stronger, Takeda wanted to come with her, but she convinced him that someone had to watch over their grandfather, and reluctantly stayed behind. Takeda helped his grandfather in the fields, andhad managed to keep quiet for the last couple of years, until one day the Makasumi soldiers had returned early and greedily collected taxes days before they were due. Pushed far enough, Takeda attacked in a great rage and managed to decently injure them before being overcome. His existence now revealed, it seemed that Takeda would be forced to join the army when the commander suddenly killed the greedy soldiers. Surprised, the commander-Musashi Hojo-revealed to Takeda that he was actually leader of the Deserter Army who was trying to overthrow Takachi Makasumi. Realizing that Musashi was indeed a very powerful samurai, Takeda begged him to train him as his apprentice. Even though he was reluctant to do so, Musashi sensed something in Takeda and agreed, as long as he was more careful and controlled his actions. Takeda has only been training under Musashi for a few months since his sister has returned, but he is improving at an extraordinarily fast pace.

Accepted. I see a problem about him training under Musashi previously, since Haru would obviously be against it, but Haru could have been out of the village when that incident occured.

{The soldiers were sort of on their way back to the...castle when Takeda attacked them, and I talked with Sean about him being Musashi's apprentice already. Maybe I should've talked to you though, first...?}

Takeda Yurinao

"Errgh, damnit! We should go back there and stop those bandits from destroying the village! Why do we hafta go with everyone else when they could use our help!?" Takeda complained as he and his sister caught up to the fleeing villagers. He knew that Musashi-sensei and the others could probably take care of the bandits on their own, but he still didn't like being left behind.

"I know Onii-san," Anika said, itching to go back and help fight. She didn't train as a ninja just so that she could flee from an attack. But she didn't want to question her grandfather, not after following Sanjuro before. "But it's for our safety...I'm sure we'll get the chance to help eventually."

Hachirou

"Probably, but there's always the chance that you'll kill him first, Taijun." Michi stated with a sense of false glee as he walked out to find the young Samurai talking to himself.

Taijun jumped slightly and tried to regain his composure, feeling embarrassed that he was startled so easily.

"Me kill him? I don't think I could do something like that. I'm not strong enough."
