Travel To Eden (No Longer Accepting, T-M)

Jack

"I sure am. I took a course on Pre-War era vehicles. I'm certified and qualified to drive that piece of junk. Don't worry, I stay sober enough to drive. Most of the time. There was this one time in the Arizona Republic...but that's another story for another time. Don't worry, I should be able to get us to Eden in that pile of crap in no time. Give or take a decade. I've had that thing for years, and I've kept it running. It should take us there. I hope." Jack said. He took a swig from a bottle that seemed to appear from nowhere.

"Hmm...now where did I put the keys..." Jack muttered. He reached behind him and pulled out a very large pistol.

"Hm, no that's not it. Catch." Jack threw the gun at Sean. His eyes lit up in remembrance and he walked over to the car and took off the tarp covering it.

"Ah, there it is. Right next to my....." Jack trailed off and chucked something off of the car. It went soaring toward Sean, threatening to hit him in the face.

"Won't be needing that anymore."

((I love this character.))

{He is very likable and amusing, but I don't think Sean will feel the same way after this. D}

"Wah!" Sean cried out in surprise, as he caught the firearm. "What was that for?!" the cyborg demanded, but the soldier ignored him and started digging around in the vehicle.

Sean looked down at the pistol, and he identified it to be a slightly modified Desert Eagle. "So, why did you give me a--" Sean was cut off as he sensed the incoming projectile, and promptly ducked his head to the right. He was a little to late, as the empty beer bottle crashed into the left side of the teen's forehead, cutting him slightly. "Oww!"

(He is very amusing I have to say, sort of like a lovable crazy Uncle.)

"My name is Dolores." The Doctor protested quietly after she had been given the name of Phil. Though apparently their drunk guardian hadn't heard her, as he continued to ramble anyways. She mentally noted that she should be careful around the man, as he seemed to be a bit reckless, and the fact that he had once been a member of the Brotherhood was another thing she would have to remember of course, though she tried not to get angry with Jack because of it.

Dolores cleared her throat as she decided to speak, but was cut off when Jack haphazardly threw a beer bottle at Sean. "What the!? Are you ok?" she asked the Cyborg as she rushed over to him to make sure that he was ok. As she reached her hand out to help her inspect the wound, Dolores realized that it was just a small cut on the boy's face, and so she decided that he would be ok and stopped abruptly as she pulled her hand back from his face.

{For the record, no one knows that Sean is a cyborg yet. But I guess referring to him as one while narrating is okay.}

"Yeah, I'll be alright. I heal quickly," Sean told the doctor wincing. "It stings a little though, and that's annoying." the teen griped. He had no idea why Jack had tossed him a gun, but he was getting more and more tempted to use it on the soldier. "Any particular reason you threw a glass bottle at my head?!" Sean demanded.

Jack

"Whatever you say, Sally. Hm, no particular reason. It was by pure chance it hit you, really. Be lucky that wasn't my empty bottle of poison. Still had some left in it. Wait a tic....no wait, I threw that out yesterday. I should remember that, it got me lunch. Oh, and I need that gun back. It really isn't nice to steal people's things, boy." Jack said. He seemed to forget the fact he'd been the one who threw it at Sean.

Jack started to fiddle inside the car again, throwing various items out. Mostly empty beer bottles. He held up a magazine and inspected it.

"Strange. Since when have I had a porn magazine? Damn Scarper, always leaving his stuff behind..." Jack tossed the graphic magazine behind him, which would land on Ikan's face.

Dolores sighed in annoyance as she listened to the Soldier ramble on. She was beginning to think that he was going to be more annoying and dangerous then the trip itself, though that was most likely an exaggeration on her part she admitted. "He didn't steal anything, you handed him the gun about a minute ago." She corrected Jack, trying to be polite and stay calm at the same time.

Ikan found Jack quite irritating and amusing at the same time. At least he hadn't thrown anything at- She ate her words as a magazine came flying at her face. She went to catch it just a second late. As it fell from her face she caught it and glimpsed at it. Her eyes widening a bit she tossed the magazine back at Jack's feet. "That was... strange."

Jack

"Ah, so I did Phil." Jack commented. He continued to look through the jeep, still flinging out various items out of the seats. A large and heavy book went sailing toward Dolores.

"Now, where did I place that...uh oh." Jack started to look around.

"Nobody panic, but I've seemed to misplace the brain I was suppose to deliver to Sacrone. And the highly unstable Nitroglycerin bottle."

Sean stared at Ikan surprised, his expectations of how she would've reacted totally wrong, when Jack suddenly threw another object at one of the group members. Moving quickly, Sean stretched out his right hand, and caught the book flying at Dolores. "Uh, why don't we look for it, and you just take it easy and sit down?" the cyborg suggested and slowly moving towards the soldier, ready incase he started chucking more random objects.

Dolores flinched as she saw the book fly towards her, only for Sean to grab it out of the air before it hit her. Sighing in relief, she glanced at the young man for a second, rather impressed with his reflexes. "Thank you." She said quietly before looking back at Jack, taking a step back as she heard his comment about losing the Nitroglycerin bottles.

"Or you sure that you've lost them? Maybe you already delivered them a while back and simply forgot." The Doctor suggested as she tried to be helpful.

Jack

"Nonsense William, I'm fine. Hmm...ah, now I remember. The delivery was cancelled, so I got to keep them. I chunked the brain, and the bottles--"

Jack was cut off as an explosion occured in the distance.

"--were used to set up a trap to get us lunch! Or....what remains of it. On retrospect that wasn't a smart idea. Ah well, too late now." Jack said. He suddenly took out his rifle and shot at Dolores' feet, barely missing them. The crazied drunk inspected the ground before putting the gun up.

"Sorry, thought I saw a snake."

"Ah Sh-!" Dolores uct herself off as she clenched her hands together tightly in shock. "Excellent, just excellent." She commented sarcastically as she looked at Jack again, this time wishing she could just knock him out. "I'll go look out for the guide then...over there." She informed everyone as she pointed at a small hill that was a few hundred feet away. "Maybe we'll umm, find him faster if I do." She weakly excused herself as she turned around to walk away.

Trent

Trent saw from a way off that the group wasn't getting along too well, mainly from one throwing things. The soldier, if he remembered, not that he cared too much. He didn't care to know them or talk with them, just to do his job. One of them was leaving, and he didn't stop her, just got nearer and started to talk. "I'm here," he said, and without giving them any time to respond, he continued. "I got a few rules for traveling. First, Shut up, I don't wanna hear you talking. We got a long way to go and I don't wanna hear you talk. If you missed it, I don't like hearing you talk. Second, obey every command I give, I know the regions will be going through and how to keep them safe. If I tell you to stand on your head and stick out your tounge, you can bet it's gonna save your life. Third, no alcohol, because I don't wanna deal with idiots. Save it for the resting periods. And I don't answer any personal questions. Got a problem, find yourself another guide. Any questions," he announced quickly.

Sean flinched when Jack whipped out a rifle and fired it multiple times at Dolores's feet. He was about ready to attempt to keep him from doing anymore damage somehow, when the guide appeared. Finally! the cyborg thought, relieved.

Really glad about that last rule. The rest shouldn't be a problem. I'm okay with not talking, and it makes sense to follow what the guide says. Sean though, registering everything that the guide said. "Yeah, how long do you think the trip will take?" the cyborg asked curiously. He noticed that the guide didn't say his name, but he figured that asking would count as a 'personal question,' and let it be.

Trent

"That'll depend on you all, you can take time, conserve energy and be careful to avoid all the dangers, which may not work, or you can press forward and go as quickly as you can. I've done both, and in between, and none of them have been death free," Trent said. "Someone always manages to get themselves killed, and I can't keep everyone from dieing. Just make sure it isn't you and you'll be fine."

Dolores stopped herself as she heard the guide arrive, sighing in relief that they could finally move on and in annoyance that she wouldn't be getting her break from Jack, Dolores turned around and quickly walked back as she heard their guide explain the rules. "Two out of three make sense I suppose..." She mentally commented after he finished, though she was annoyed that he didn't want anyone to talk.

"That's my job." Dolores muttered weakly under her breath after hearing Trent inform everyone that he couldn't prevent anyone's death. She felt rather uncomfortable now that she had seen everyone in the group. This wasn't going to be enjoyable whatsoever she realized as she looked at the group. The soldier was an idiot from what she could tell, the guide was a cold jerk, the other girl was too quiet, though that could change she realized. And then the young man...well he wasn't so bad from what she could tell, though admittedly she didn't now much about him, well, she didn't know much about anyone here she realized as she grew a bit embarrassed with herself for judging everyone so quickly.

Jack

"Now listen here you little arrogant boy..." Jack trailed off. His eyes drifted from a ruined skyscrapper back toward Trent. A small red light was visible on top of his head.

"Get down!" Jack cried, tackeling their guide to the hard ground. Half a second later a bullet passed through the air where Trent's head had been. Jack quickly got up, got out his rifle with inhuman speed, and fired a burst at the ruined building.

"Everyone in the jeep, now!" Jack barked.

[[ Thank you! I've been busy with my brother's birthday and school so I haven't been getting on much. ^^" ]]

Ikan watched the others in silence. She needed a while to get to know them before she started conversing with them. The rules the guide gave certainly reflected on his personality. She knew Jack was a drunk. Dolores was- If she saw in slow motion she could've seen the bullet pass right in front of her.

Trent

Trent had been somewhat aware of an attack, call it a sixth sense, but before he could react, the drunk had pushed him to the ground. Course, that had probably saved him, but Trent wasn't about to admit it. Reaching into his supplies he grabbed a smoke canister and threw it onto the ground, quickly obscuring the group in smoke. "Get to the jeep," he parroted, mainly because he didn't have any better idea, and felt the need to shout out and order. Course, now that he thought about it, he couldn't remember which way it was from him. He listened to the other and headed in that direction, and eventually got in on the front on the passenger side.

Dolores quickly jumped towards the jeep and climbed in, scooting over so that there was room for the others. "Well at least the Soldier has decent reflexes...that should be useful." She mentally noted, her bad opinion of Jack having slightly shrunken now.

Ikan then jumped into the Jeep and sat by Dolores. "This is certainly starting well." She stated simply. She wondered who was shooting at them and why. It's not like they had anything. But of course they were trying to get to Eden it was bound to get worse then this.

The smoke erupted from the canister the guide had thrown engulfed the area, effectively covering the group. No way they just want our jeep. I'm still gonna be surprised if that thing can even move... The smokescreen didn't impair Sean's inhuman eyesight, and he jumped into the backseat of the jeep.

He then noticed three details, though, two out of three weren't exactly important to their immediate danger. 1. The seatbelts from the vehicle had been removed. Sean wasn't exactly sure why, but he had a feeling that it had to do with the soldier. 2. He still had the Desert Eagle the soldier had thrown at him. And 3. He was in the back seat, next to two females. The cyborg's face began to turn red, and he began to feel a little awkward and nervous.

Jack

Jack jumped into the driver's seat and put the keys into the ignition. He started the vehicle and the car violently started coughing up smoke. It stopped after a minute and Jack sped away as fast as he could. As they cleared from the smoke around them, Jack pressed a button on the back of the steering wheel. A roof extended and covered the top of the car, and armored plating spreed across the jeep.

Once they were out of range from the ruined building, Jack gave a sigh of relief. "Ari, you bastard. You're still alive. I should have known." Jack muttered under his breath.

Dolores quickly gripped onto the seat in front of her as the car finally began to drive away. As the car finally got far enough away from the shooter to the point where they were safe, Dolores hands stopped shaking and she sighed in relief, temporary as it was. Just when Dolores was about to ask if anyone had an idea about who their attacker was, she was startled to see a roof and plating cover the jeep after Jack pressed a small button.

"Well no one seems to be in any pain, good....." She decided after studying everyone for a second. "Well that was...an unpleasant way to start all of this." She said quietly as she tried to start a conversation up with the young girl, Ikan, if her memory was correct.

"Quite." Ikan said simply. She looked both at Dolores and then at Sean. There seemed to be a blush spreading across his face. She wondered what from.

She then directed her question to Jack. "When was the last time you had this hunk of junk repaired?" She was very concerned about the smoke coming out of the engine. That would soon need to be fixed.
