Harry Potter and the Children of Slytherin ((Open!!!!))

"My summer was great, I got to spend a lot of time with Nikola and Luna outside of the classroom setting," Neville responded. "It won't be like that for much longer, Nikola will be grown soon. Anyway, how was your summer Kingsley?"

{Ah, I got distracted by a mob movie week marathon thing and forgot about my RPing! Sorry! I'll post with my characters real fast, and then moving on will be okay with me.}

Felicia Seon Wilts

When the food appeared, and the various scents of gourmet cuisine seemed to flow into her Felicia was extremely relieved, and the lingering feelings of nervousness had been completely washed away and was replaced with a sudden realization that she was starving. Grabbing a helping of every sort of dish she was close enough to reach, along with two helpings of some of the deserts, Felicia immediately started chowing down.

The new First Year Slytherin was about halfway in the process of devouring a giant Turkey leg when she realized that someone spoke to her. It took her a few moments to process what he said, and her pale face turned noticeably deep red upon another realization that she was pigging out and making a rather embarrassing spectacle infront of her new housemates. "Thanks..." was the only thing Felicia managed to speak out to the boy, who she remembered slightly from the Slytherin Car on the Hogwarts Express.

The sound of Dahlia's voice snapped her out of her flustered trance, although she wondered if the smile that her friend gave her had some other meaning. "I know! I wasn't really sure if I was going to be Sorted in though." Felicia commented, thinking back to her confusing experience with the magical Hat.

"Yes, that's...a good way to put it." Felicia answered smirking at another boy whom she recognized from the train. Glancing around quickly, the First Year noticed many more familiar faces from the Hogwarts Express. Something tells me, I'm going to like it in Slytherin. Felicia thought contently, popping a small pastry in her mouth.

Hayden Price

Somehow, Hayden wasn't too surprised when Kami and Alissa made it into the Gryffindor House. He sort of figured that they would, though he couldn't really explain why. What is surprising is Kami's real name. Kamiloptara...Kamilopterion...y'know, I'm really glad she shortened it, the third year thought, as he noticed how uncomfortable the first year seemed despite Alissa's friendly words.

Despite his luck that he was sitting next to a cute red-headed fifth year named Ash Sinclair, Hayden decided to remain quiet, as the interest was centered on the two new first years. Hayden had to admit that they were definitely both interesting new additions to the house. Being a muggle-born wizard, Hayden didn't have a full understanding of the political situations that were going on with the Minister of Magic Harry Potter, but he did know that there were high expectations of the children of the legendary wizard, and that the other Potter children were steadily starting to meet and go beyond those expectations. The same would be expected of Alissa, and many people would be watching her, waiting to see the full extent of her talents.

But honestly, Hayden didn't really care about all that. To him, Alissa was a kind, well-mannered first year that just wanted to make friends and find her place in Hogwarts, and he was her upperclassman that would do his best to help her. It was similar with Kami, albeit somewhat different too, although that was just because Kami was different.

The two first years seemed to differ in ways thatt were almost opposite. Alissa was cheerful and very willing to open up and connect with people, where Kami almost never smiled and seemed very uncomfortable around people, almost to the extent of pushing them away. Also, whereas everyone knew about Alissa's family, no one really knew about Kami's. Professor Shacklebolt had personally escorted her, and the two obviously had more than a simple student-teacher relationship. On the train, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher acted as if he was Kami's guardian or something. Hayden got the feeling that something horrible happened to Kami's parents, and maybe that was why she seemed reluctant to be around people.

Although, it was also possible that Hayden had read too many detective books over the summer. Either way, the two girls did seem to have opposing points in their personality. Even their hair color was opposite!...sort of. Anyways, whatever the reason behind Kami's discomfort with others, it was probably best not to ask about her past incase it upset her. If I can't get any sleep because of this dark mystery for some reason, the first year thought sarcastically, maybe I can ask Professor Shacklebolt about it later? For now, I'll just do my best to--

His thoughts were interuppted by a small crash from the other side of the table. Kami was staring out into space, looking absolutely mortified with her hand floating in midair, shaking with an uncontrollable, violent horror.

Wondering what happened, he glanced down for a brief moment at the sight of her goblet as water gushed out, flooding the contents of her plate. He noticed a few small, yet deep indentations, and then after hearing the responses of Ash and Alissa, he figured out what must have happened.
As Hayden watched Kami huddle herself, clamping on so tightly as if she would suddenly explode into pieces if she let go, for the first time in his life he felt absolutely useless. He obviously had no idea about her past or the full extent pain she was feeling, but at that moment Hayden wished that he could just take out his wand, and with one simple wave erase all of her feelings of pain and sorrow and magically make everything better. But as he gazed into her deep, soulless silver eyes, he felt that even at Hogwarts, the greatest witch and wizardry school in the world, there was no one that could do that for her.

{I'll stop there. Hopefully I was able to make a satisfactory qualitable post to cover everything. I'm ready for the banquet to end now.}

General Narrative

Soon enough dinner came to a close, and the students were sent to retire for the night. Including one Monica, after Professor Perks escorted her to her dormitory. The Prefects and House Teachers led their students to the dormitories, with the clear instructions that they were to head to bed no later than midnight. After that the House Teachers left the students to their own devices, and retired themselves, for the night.

Well, not quite. For in the quarters of Professor Shacklebolt, several teachers were having a secluded meeting....

Meanwhile, Aurors Moody and Weasley were sent out to patrol the Hogwarts grounds, to make sure no students were up past curfew, and to make sure nothing sinister was happening...

Kingsley Shacklebolt

"Thank you all for coming," Kingsley began, as he greeted Hermione, Sally-Anne, Minerva, Luna, and Neville. "I appreciate it."

Alissa

"So, um, Kami, mind if I take the bed next to yours?" Alissa inquired, as they and the rest of the First Year Gryffindor Girls prepared for bed.

Dahlia

"I think I'll take the bed next to yours, Felicia. Do you mind?" Dahlia asked, as they and the other Slytherin First Year Girls prepared to go to sleep.

Kami's response to Alissa's question was muffled, the young werewolf's face buried in the pillow of the bed she lay sprawled across. For a moment, there was no further sign of life, but then she was shifting, rolling onto her side and curling up into a ball. Her silver eyes flickered onto her fellow Gryffindor and she opened her mouth to respond, but then abruptly closed it and rolled over, her back now to Alissa.

"Go away," she mumbled.

The words were rude, and if Kingsley heard about it, she was sure she would be in trouble, but she didn't care. She was tired and she was... was scared. It hurt to admit it, but that was the truth, plain and simple. She didn't know these people, didn't know if she was safe here with them, didn't know if any of them would try to kill her during the night. And she couldn't sleep, not here, not where others could hear.

Quinton

Instead of traipsing upstairs like most of the others, Quinton took a chair, lit a candle, and began to read in the Common Room. He would only read for a little while, but he wasn't ready for sleep quite yet, not while the other boys would be up there, sharing their summer experiences and joking around.

Neville

"Glad to be here," Neville commented. It felt like he was back in the DA now, meeting in secret at Hogwarts, but it was more serious this time around than before.

Nikola

Nikola decided to go and put her things away in the dormitory. She had picked a bed across from a window because she enjoyed looking at the stars as she fell asleep. At home when she was younger, she had had a skylight above her bed where she could look at the stars as well. She placed he trunk at the foot of the bed and sat down, watching the others go about their business.

Alchemy

Alchemy quickly put her things away and then went down to the common room to catch up with her fellow gryffindors. She had seen that some of the first years were quite skittish, and she figured it would be wiser to be in the common room where people went when they actually wanted to socialize, rather than possibly frighten or overwhelm the poor kids. She figured if they wanted to talk, they would, and until then it would be best to leave them alone. She grabbed a seat on one of the sofas and said hi to several friends. The first night of the year was alway hectic, with people catching up, or the first years getting to know one another, but it was usually quite fun.

"Oh it's no probably really," Hermonie said, taking a seat. Luna nodded in agreement and took a place near her husband.

Riddley yawned, but she didn't go to bed. She instead took a seat near the fireplace and opened a book. She knew she was going to be somewhat lazy this year, so it was best to read up now. She did fine without too much fuss, but it never hurt to be prepared.

Rachel frowned as she claimed her bed. She upacked the things she needed to unpack and then wondered if she should either get to sleep or do something. She ended up going down to the common room, asking if anyone wanted to play Wizard's chess.

Minerva McGonagall nodded her head in greeting to Luna and Hermione as the two stu... as her two fellow teachers took their places. She had to be getting to old for this, for so many of the young witches and wizards she had taught to be now teaching alongside her. Maybe she should have stayed retired.

But she couldn't just stand by and watch as Potter grew more and more out of control, and so here she was, back at the school she loved so much and so deeply.

Felicia Seon Wilts

"Not at all," Felicia answered, smiling that her friend had chosen to do so. Even though the Slytherin first year was feeling somewhat tired, a part of her wanted to head back to the common room. The Slytherin dungeon had a mysterious atmosphere that captivated Felicia, and she enjoyed everything about it to the skulls, to the eerie green tint, to the windows that showed underneath the lake.

Slipping her shoes off and placing them next to her bed, a small yawn suddenly burst from the young girl's mouth. I must be sleepier than I thought I was. Felicia thought, before taking off the rest of her school robes, and changing into a dark purple nightgown.

As she laid her Hogwarts uniform on her bed and prepared to fold it up, she noticed a small bulge in one of the pockets. "What's this?" she wondered outloud.

Hayden Price

"Alright, ready?" Mac Dalley, a friend of Hayden's, called out to him and Jake Finnegan. The two boys sat opposite each other, on oversized cushy arm chairs with a small coffee table inbetween them. Their elbows rested on the table and their fingers were interlocked, staring each other down. A small crowd was around them, awaiting the start of the arm wrestling match.

"Go!"

On cue, Hayden's relaxed arm sprang into action and he pushed as hard as he could, and so did Jake. The two were trapped in a deadlock, with each hand quavering to each side occasionally but always being forced back. Soon, Hayden started gaining the advantage, and he had Jake's arm halfway down to the table. However, Jake had managed to push Hayden's wrist back, and acquired enough leverage to reverse the situation. After literally gaining the upper hand, Jake pushed with all his might and slammed Hayden's hand down on the opposite side of the table.

The crowd's cheers filled the common room, both amazed and surprised that Hayden had been beat, when he was the one that made arm wrestling matches a common sight among Gryffindor boys. "Beat ya, Hayden!" Jake sneered gloating. "Yeah, yeah. I'm not left handed like you though, remember?" Hayden countered, rubbing his left wrist. "Oh, please. You asked to do it with our lefts, and we all know you're ambidextrous."

"...okay, you got me there. Best two out of three?" Hayden admitted smiling, readying his right arm on the table.

Name: Jonathan Broadmoor
Age: 15 (Because it seems to be the popular age of this RP.)
Gender: Male
House (if a student): Slytherin
Appearance: Jonathan’s build is like most Broadmoor males: tall and athletic. However, aside from his broad shoulders, he doesn’t appear to be very muscular and this, along with his height and sharp features, give him a skeletal appearance. His soft, almost silk-like sandy blonde hair that covers up much of his face, hides the fact that he has Heterochromia iridum. His right eye on the more visible side of his face is a gray-silver, while his concealed right eye is a deep blood red. When Jonathan isn’t wearing his school robes, he prefers to wear dark colored clothes along with sturdy black combat boots.
Personality: Jonathan is a rather mysterious young man. He gives off a rather chilling and unsettling aura. Though his manner of speech is usually formal and polite, he speaks with undertones of mockery, and acts rather facetious and almost carefree, even at unsettling news. This attitude, along with a certain amount of snarkiness, make it hard for others to tell what he’s thinking which causes them not to trust him, thinking he’s up to something. Jonathan is aware of how he makes others feel, and often plays with people’s emotions for his own amusement. Being a Broadmoor, he is quite violent and sadistic, and much willing to use force in order to achieve his goals. However, Jonathan is very cunning and an intelligent student, and even though he prefers to follow his instinct, he doesn’t anger easily and fully knows how his emotions may inhibit his judgement. While keeping himself in check most of the time, Jonathan does have a strong curiousity, and as been known to take long walks around the castle at night, especially into the Forbidden Forest. Besides being able to wave off his fear nonchalantly, he is also very observant, and has therefore never been caught. Besides walks and people watching, he seems to be very knowledgeable about mythical beasts and knows quite a few trivial facts about the muggle world.
History: The Broadmoors have been a mostly pureblood family, although more recently like most wizard families, they have been integrated with muggles turning the family into halfbloods. The recent division goes back to his great uncle’s side, so Jonathan has quite a few halfblooded muggle-born cousins. Despite the fact that this has produced a notable amount of squibs on the new side of the family, it has also produced many promising halfblood witches and wizards, so there is no ill will towards the new blood merging. Due to the changing times of the wizarding world with Minister Potter, the integration is not taken in disdain, but rather necessary and in fact rewarding, as it has allowed the Broadmoor family to take in the fruits of the muggle world, while sharing their own magical heritage.
Jonathan has been attending Hogwarts for four years, and while spending during various holidays and breaks with his pureblood wizard family residing in the Britannian magical world, each summer he would always head to Ireland to spend time with halfblood and squib relatives and take in the muggle world.
Despite the rumors about Jonathan’s mischevious activities and his tendency to unnerve many students, Jonathan received a letter that this year he had been named a Slytherin Prefect due to his excellent marks, his Quidditich proficiency, and that it had been noted that he had been seen as somewhat of a leader to his fellow Slytherins. While those reasons were all true, the last one is mainly due to the fact that Jonathan is secretly one of the few leaders in the movement to bring Salazar Slytherin back into power. However, unlike some of the leaders whose pureblood heritage is assumed, the fact that the Broadmoor family has been tainted by muggles is well known to the entire movement. While this, and his relaxed and dismissive attitude has caused many to question his belonging, Jonathan himself is a pureblood and his actions and strong connections with the other leaders has kept him in his position, causing many members disapproval. However, anyone who directly voices their disapproval of Jonathan’s position are hastily put into place.
Additional Information: Since his recent summer trip to Ireland, Jonathan has picked up an interesting walking stick made out of blackthorn wood capped with a small metal skull. With a bit of magic and ingenuity, Jonathan has fashioned his own wand to concealed into his new walking stick, much like the walking stick owned by Lucius Malfoy. The cane itself is hollow throughout, and as long as his wand is inside, Jonathan can point the stick and use it to cast spells. Jonathan can also use the stick as a club or staff, and has learned different fighting tactics and skills from his family in Ireland which he often uses to put those that question his ranking in the Salazar Slytherin movement in their place.
Jonathan also has a liking in Magical Creatures and Divination, and is deeply interested in the study of Occlumency and Legilimency.

Alchemy

Alchemy looked on at the arm wrestling match with amusement. It was typical gryffindor fare. She clapped as the match ended along with the others and laughed as the loser tried to make an excuse for his performance. It was good to be back, in the common room with her fellow gryffindors. It helped her forget about the dark times that they were in.

Kingsley, Sally-Anne

"I don't mind either, Kingsley. You know I'll always be at the side of the Order." Sally-Anne piped up. Kingsley nodded and smiled thankfully at them all.

"Let's get down to business, then." Kingsley's smile vanished, as the professional in him took over. "As you all know, Filius resigned from the Order, at my behest. Hogwarts needs a fully committed Headmaster. And it'd be best if he had plausible deniability, as the Muggles say, in case our actions were ever discovered by Minister Potter."

Kingsley paused and looked over at Sally-Anne, who quickly took over.

"Our spies in the Ministry say that Potter is ready to enact more laws that would be even more restrictive toward former Slytherins in Britain, and that he's taken action to further secure his dictatorship. We can confirm that a majority of the Wizengamot now resides in his hands, effectively allowing Potter free reign to do as he pleases.

The Wizengamot was able to prevent Potter from enacting more radical laws for the past few years, but now he's bought off many members, and discreetly replaced his more vocal denouncers. In a blatant display of his hypocrisy and growing paranoia, he's had Amelia Bones jailed on charges of Dark Wizardry. The Bones family is outraged and very vocal about this event, but there's little they can do against Potter and his Enforcers. On the bright side, we've gained Susan Bones and her husband as new members for the Order of the Phoenix."

Sally-Anne stopped and nodded politely at Kingsley. He nodded in return, and concluded the announcement of events.

"Thankfully I've managed to convince Potter not to take action against Slytherins in Hogwarts, or otherwise interfere in the school. Aside from the addition of a duo of yearly-switched Aurors to patrol the Hogwarts grounds, which is very understandable given what happened during Potter's years alone at Hogwarts, he's content to let the status quo stay here. That means the Order is most free to act in Hogwarts, though we must be careful."

Kingsley finished, and remained silent in order to let those assembled voice their thoughts on the current events.

Edward

"I figured you'd be down here," Edward commented as he walked up to Quinton from the staircase behind.

"You never do socialize much, even for a Ravenclaw, do you?" he inquired bluntly.

Alissa

Alissa looked at Kami's back with a hurt expression, but sighed and took the bed next to her anyway. She might be a bit rude, but Alissa didn't want to give up trying to be friends with Kami. Mom always said that people like her would need friends the most, and so she wanted to at least try to make friends with Kami. Or at the very least, be civil to her.

Alissa changed out of her school robes into her light purple nightgown, and settled down in her bed for sleep.

Dahlia

Dahlia had already placed her trunk at the foot of the bed besides Felicia's, and had changed into her crimson nightgown, when she heard her friend. She looked over at the young girl curiously.

"You leave a sweet or something in your pocket, Felicia?"

Kami shoved her pillow over her head, trying to block out the rustling beside her. If she didn't hear anything, then nobody was there. If she didn't see that annoying girl on the bed next to her, then she wasn't there. If she... Oh, who was she fooling? There was no way to block out those in the room with her.

Quinton

"It's been this way for five years now," Quinton responded, carefully marking his page before shutting the book. "I'm not sure why it's suddenly something worthy of note, but no, I don't socialize very much. It hasn't been a problem before, and I doubt it will matter now that I've two years left here."

{How did she know?!}

Felicia Seon Wilts

"Yes, I did." Felicia answered her friend and showing Dahlia half of a small pumpkin muffin. "I was, um, very hungry at the feast, and the food was so good, I thought I'd save some for later. I just forgot it was in there." the First Year explained, with a nervous laugh.

What Felicia said had been the truth for the most part, though the main reason she had stashed away some extra food for her snake, Tannin. The familiar had gone threw almost the whole day without eating, and was upset that he had to stay hidden in Felicia's trunk and only saw the girl for a moment as she managed to slip away for a few minutes after the feast to feed him.

Monica, having been lead to the Ravenclaw dormatories, made her place in the Common room as everyone went to their rooms. At least the common room was empty for the most part, she didn't want to deal with people...and their staring.

Sitting in front of the fireplace, she had a blanket around her and her wings were folded against her. Her hair writhed gently against her skin, wings flexing every once in a while as her bright green eyes watched the embers glow as the flames danced soothingly.

Riddley peered over the book at the First Year also near the fire. She wanted to make a comment, but she also didn't want to upset the girl. She seemed rather touchy about being approached if she believed what some of the others had to say and she didn't really eat with them today.

Besides Riddley didn't want to waste the energy in trying to make friends with someone who didn't want any. So she went back to reading.

Hermonie frowned at the news. It was hard for her to think that her old friend was so far gone and replaced with someone who was way out of control. It made sense logically speaking. People in power over history have gone mad or changed immensely through paranoia, fear, greed. It wasn't all that rare, though not so common nowadays. It still unsettled the woman because this time it was someone who was once her best friend.

"I am happy to hear that the Slytherins students are not in any present danger though we will have to see if that will change."

"Do you think he will go after the students Hermonie," Luna asked her friend. Hermonie bit her lip in both thought and worry.

"I would like to think no, but we can't be positive that he won't."

Nikola decided to go down in the common room, as it was getting quite crowded in the dormitories, and she wasn't really a part of any conversation. She bounced down the staircase and into the common room.
"Hello there." She said, her voice was airy and reminiscent of her mother's, but not quite as high and dreamy. She knew how it felt to be sort of an outcast in school, so she made it a point to try and make the new students feel welcome.

Monica coolly regarded the brunette witch as she spoke; she wasn't entirely surprised that someone would try to talk to her, especially with the incident earlier, "Ya su." she said in response, her Jade-green eyes trailing the girl's movement, flicking briefly to the girl reading.

She was nervous indeed, her hair intensifying in it's slithering; even coiling up threateningly like snakes, "What do you want?" she asked, her voice low and guarded.

"Oh, nothing in particular, I just figured I'd say hello. It was too crowded up there, so I came down here to see if anybody was here. And you are. So I said hello." She explained as she examined the beginning-of-term memos on the message board in the common room.

Monica became annoyed, mostly because the girl seemed to be talking down to her. Unfurling her wings, she wrapped them around her body like a defensive shell. Giving the girl a piercing glare, she tucked her face behind her wings, leaving only her eyes visible, "You've said what you have come to say." she said low, almost growling, "If nothing else, please leave."
