The Dawn Of A New Hope (A Star Wars/Avatar Crossover RP)

Toph chuckled. "Somehow, I'm not surprised," she said with a grin, nudging Sokka playfully. "Well, Mister Leader, lead the way!"

"Hey, don't use that tone with me. You were the one that got the bright idea of a drinking contest last time we were on this moon. Somehow, I still don't know how I ended up on that balcony in my underwear..." Sokka stated as they exited down the ramp, stopping only to pay the docking fee and a little extra for their arrival not to be recorded. Normal Nar Shadaa procedure.

Dorothy

"Oh, I can recall that event quite vividly, Fearless Leader." Dorothy chimed in. "Thanks to my memory databanks. I ought to show it to you some time. I believe Lady Toph would find it quite interesting. And humorous, perhaps, from an organic perspective."

Suki

"Very well."

Zahanna

"Ah, finally. We're here." Zahanna announced as their ship exited Hyperspace.

((You are welcome to have Katara land on Tatooine, MST. And Mariah, when you get the chance, you can post with Leia, Haru, and Jin waking up in containment cells.))

"Heh. I might have to take you up on that sometime, D," said Toph.

As she stepped down and off the ramp, a whirlwind of Force auras struck her. She struggled not to let the new awareness overwhelm her. She was still getting used to this new power of hers, and she still didn't know if she liked it or not.

Well, it meant "seeing" Sokka, sort of, so. . .

Sokka frowned a bit as he saw Toph sort of stumble. He knew it had to do with the new way she was learning to "see", but he also knew places like Nar Shadaa overwhelmed her. Quickly, he grabbed her hand and grinned at her.

"Come on," he said gently, "What do you say to a drink?"

"Sure," she said, grinning. "As long as you're buying."

Toph focused on his warm, blue-gray aura as they navigated the busy streets. It helped her handle the swarm of others, until she was more used to the "sights."

Shaak Ti, On Ji

"I have given you much to think on...and perhaps, more than you should have been given...for now, I shall set you on a small task, one several others are given, but one that needs to be done." turning to the girl, Shaak Ti gazed at her, "As you are aware, our food stores are low, but the time has come once more when we should restock...I would like you to retrieve one of the deliveries."

On Ji raised her eyebrow, but understood, "Yes, Mistress." she responded with a curt bow, "Where shall I be going?" she asked.

Katara

Katara was now on Tatooine, and rode on Appa as he flew across the desert-scape. Momo sat in her lap, as Aang's staff lay by her. All of them were links to Aang, she had kept them to keep that link alive, even if he was gone, physically. She kept her eyes peeled on the horizon, looking for the lair of Jabba the Hutt, a crime lord who ruled the outer rim, and was based here. She had come for information on the twins, and though it was a long-shot, there was hope the Hutt clan might have something to go on.

Darth Helios

The young Sith walked into a shadowy alley near the docks, though that was the norm on Nar Shadaa, and approached a twi'lek leaning against the wall. His gait left no doubt that he was dangerous and wanted something, Helios knew a confident stride could work wonders on the mentally weak. This thing was involved with the Shaak Ti's deliveries, or had been at some point, and he would find out what it knew.

(Hope that's ok.)

Sokka rolled his eyes at his girlfriend, "Of course. I always buy the drinks, remember?"

As soon as they reached a nearby cantina, "The Lusty Rancor", they were awash in a crowd of different species. There really was so many more peoples in the Galaxy than Sokka ever thought possible. He had almost given up on cataloging them all. Almost. He wouldn't be Sokka if he didn't at least trying cataloging information.

Soon, they approached Neimodian bartender and sat down. He ordered them a couple of Alderaanian Ales to start off with before casually asking the bartender, "Did you hear the one about the Twi'lek and the Togruta?"

It was a coded, Rebel phrase, one he suggested himself to Rebel Command. If the bartender was an informant, he would recognize the cue and provide the correct answer. If not... Well, Sokka was excellent at jokes.

While Sokka fished for information, and she knew he was a good fisherman, Toph drank and kept quiet.

But she was busy, too. With Sokka busy, his attention elsewhere, it was up to her to keep the figurative eye on their surroundings. Nar Shadaa could be dangerous on its own, but there was always the chance, too, of running into agents of the Empire.

And they didn't need any trouble, not on a mission.

Toph's senses made her an excellent lookout. Her bending sight was as strong as ever, and the budding Force sight helped even more. If there was something nadty about, or if someone was thinking about attacking them, she would know about it.

Ty Lee

"So that's Nar Shadaa," Ty Lee asked, looking the moon over. "It's so smogy and grimy looking."

Neimodian Bartender

The bartender snorted. "Of course. Who hasn't? Every damn person in Hutt Space and the Empire has heard of it. In fact, not too long ago, I heard about a boy with a rather odd scar on his face tell that very same joke. Is it incredibly popular or something? Bah. I'll never understand Hu-Man humor."

Not the expected rebel response code, of course, but if Sokka was listening carefully he'd likely deceipher the meaning.

Zahanna

"Well, that's how the Hutts like it." Zahanna replied. "Now. There should be an old bar around here that I know we can get information from..."

Twi'lek

"Hm? Yes, can I help you, human?" the Twi'lek sneered at Helios.

Bib Fortuna

Once Katara landed with her bison near the palace of Jabba the Hutt, a pink-skinned Twi'lek strode out to greet her.

"State your business, human. You are trespassing the territory of the mighty Jabba the Hutt."

Suki

"May a Warrior and I accompany On Ji, Master Shaak Ti?" Suki asked.

Dorothy

The droid sat near her blind friend, and also kept her focus on the crowd of varying aliens before them.

"Hm. I am curious about something, Toph. If you do not mind me asking."

"Then let's go," said Mai. She joined her companions, her arms crossed, her face set in a calm, almost bland expression. "Better now than later."

"Hm?" Toph turned towards Dorotjy a little, and nodded. "What is it?"

Darth Helios

"You've had dealing with shipments of Togruta food, correct," Helios stated more than asked. "I want to know who its going to, and where."

Katara

"I've come for an audience with the mighty Jabba, I seek information and his spies are the only reliable source on this planet," Katara said, dismounting Appa.

Shakk Ti

Nodding her head, she spoke to the warrior, "That would be best. Take with you a warrior that knows the way, but has not been sent on a similar mission before; we cannot risk the possibility that someone will be recognized."

Before she let the three go, she spoke again to Suki, "Be very careful, I...may have sensed a disturbance in the force. I cannot be certain, but be cautious all the same...and may the Force be with you."

Sokka frowned. Boy with a rather odd scar? It couldn't be... Could it? Acting as casual as possible, he asked, "What kind of scar does he have? I've seen more than my fair share of scars."

(Grrr what has happened with my characters? Sorry about not being on a lot either.....)

(They were stunned and brought before Darth Vader... or at least Leia was. Not sure about Jin and Haru, they might've just been taken to a cell, but don't quote me on it)

Bartender

"The strangest I've ever seen. It's curved around the left side of his face, extending from his eye to his ear."

Dorothy

"In all our time together, I don't believe I've yet learned how you and Sokka met." Dorothy replied.

Suki

"Of course. We will be careful. On Ji will be safe with us. And may the Spirits protect you, Master Ti."

Bib Fortuna

The twi'lek nodded. "Very well. The honorable Jabba is in a good mood. He'll no doubt find you amusing. You may come with me."

Zahanna

Zahanna entered a bar with her companions. Near the back of the room she spotted the familiar visage of Big Ear, and also noticed the place had a new bartender as well. A...Nemo....something. Something close to that. Not that it mattered.

But....the human he was talking to...hm. He looked rather familiar. Interesting.

Twi'lek

"Yeah?" the twi'lek snorted. "What's in it for me?"

"What, really?" said Toph. "Well, we have been busy lately, so. . ." She shrugged. "It's nothing that special. He and Katara, and. . . and Aang, they were looking for an Earthbending teacher. They came to my hometown, and. . ."

She trailed off. A set of weird Force auras had just walked into the catina. They were dark, flickering, at odds with the "loudness" of about everyone else in the bar. The three felt strangely familiar, too.

And they were looking at Sokka.

Toph pretended to take a drink. "Look ahead, D. Three ladies, I think."

Mai glanced towards whatever had taken Zahanna's attention. She frowned.

"Looks like the Water Tribe guy," she said.

On Ji

She didn't get many specifics, just that they were supposed to be meeting someone near some place called the...well, she didn't quite remember how to pronounce it, but it was close to the docks. Mistress, or Master, Shaak Ti--she wasn't sure which title she was supposed to use--said that the person they were supposed to meet should be the last one out of a group of people that the package had exchanged hands.

Of course, there were also multiple packages that were being picked up, the throw off any would-be hunters. The only thing that made this dangerous was Shaak Ti's affinity for some of the foods native to her planet. Common misconception was Togruta could only eat the foods from their planet; this was untrue, however, Togruta tend to have a craving for their native foods, specifically a type of small animal.

Of course, the venture would take a bit, "So, um, if you don't mind my asking...where are you from?" asked On Ji, looking briefly at Suki.

Darth Helios

Helios reached in his coat and pulled out another card filled with credits. "Tell me what I want to know, and it's yours," he said, holding it in view of the twi'lek.

Katara

Katara didn't like how the alien said that, but she would have to go. She entered behind the twi'lek into Jabba's palace, not sure if this was a good idea or not anymore.

Ty Lee

"Ooh, the cute one," Ty Lee asked, and her eyes found him as well. She smiled, but then it faded, replaced by a confused frown. "Why is he here?"

"Zuko..." Sokka muttered. He turned over to Toph and Dorothy, "We need to be quick."

He turned back to the bartender and asked, "Can you tell us what he was looking for? Where he was going?"

Zahanna

"Hm. Good question. Why not ask him, then?"

Dorothy

"Two humans, and a Twi'lek." Dorothy responded. "And if my sensors are correct, the two humans display subtle signs from being from your homeworld."

Twi'lek

The Twi'lek's eyes widened a great deal, and he gave Helios an eager nod.

"I can only give you the location of where I'd give the cargo to some cloaked figure. That's all I know."

Suki

"Kyoshi Island." Suki replied proudly.

Bartender

"I am afraid I cannot. You'd have to ask the gentleman with the abnormally large ears over there." the bartender said, pointing over to Big Ears.

Jabba the Hutt

After Bib Fortuna led Katara through a series of dark and fearsome corridors, the pink-skinned Twi'lek led the waterbender into the audience chamber of Jabba the Hutt. A variety of criminals and aliens littered the sides of the wide chamber, chatting amongst themselves and exchanging questionable substances as the the young girl was brought forward to the mighty Jabba.

The slug like creature glanced down at Katara, and issued a deep and booming laugh from his wide mouth. The rest of the criminal and scum within the chamber laughed alongside him. Then the Hutt spoke in his alien tongue, which was quickly translated by a protocol droid.

"The mighty and honorable Jabba wishes to know why you have come here."

On Ji

"Kyoshi Island?" she asked, vaguely recalling the mention of a place such as that, but it was hard to say...she'd been in slavery a while; place names just seemed to run together and lose some of it's meaning...

"So what was it like?" asked the girl, looking up at the proud warrior.
