Orion smiled a little, "I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't think he'll leave you, though. If he came out for you, then it's serious."

Jillian smiled and in a rush of joy hugged Orion. Beet red in the face he pulled away.

"S-sorry."

Zach went wide eyed as she heard Jacob scream.

"Jacob? Jacob?! JACOB?!"

Zach rushed down her street, having no real clue as to where she was going, but she had to find him.

Orion nodded, deciding not to say anything. Like he said, he'd have to get used to Jillian and Jacob being gay, or in Jacob's case, bi. He started, however, when he heard Zach's shout.

Quickly, he ran downstairs, seeing his girlfriend run into the street, "Zach, what's going on?! Where's Jacob?!"

(Actually Zach was at her house, but she could have passed Jacob's house)

Jillian heard Zach screaming and he followed Orion outside. He saw Zach crying as she clutched an open phone.

"Zach?! What happened?"

"I don't know. I was talking to Jacob and he stopped talking and then he was screaming in pain and he won't answer me and I don't know where he is."

Jillian frowned. Something had happened to Jacob?

"We'll find him Zach."

(Oh. I see. Didn't notice that. Sorry.)

"Yeah. He's always easy to find. Maybe he decided to get back at us for barging him on him and his boyfriend," Orion suggested reassuringly as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. He didn't want to think of Jacob being hurt, especially not after getting him so upset.

(Jacob's probably just half a mile down the street away from his house, so it shouldn't be too hard for the group to find him.)

Zach and Jillian headed down the street. Both spotted him, but Jillian was the first to reach him. He checked to make sure he was still alive and was relieved to find out that he was.

"He's okay, but he needs to get to a hospital," Jillian reported. Zach nodded and dialed 911.

"Hello? Yes I just found one of my friends unconscious and bleeding in the street," she said. She gave them the house number that was nearest to them. Then she shut the phone. "Ok. Someone should be here soon." She kneeled down next to Jillian. "What the hell happened to him?"

"I don't know," Jillian said.

"He looks like he's been stabbed," Orion commented, gesturing at his shoulder with a grimace. Was it the Killer? Or was it just a random thug. He wasn't sure. Neither was supposed to be in this town.

((So....mind if I flash-forward to Jacob in the hospital, with his friends and family beside him?))

(Maybe have them in the waiting room?)

Rebekkah

"I'm just ... I don't understand. What do you mean you don't know what hurt him?" Rebekkah asked, her voice going up as she looked at Dr. Brooks pleadingly. It just didn't make sense, Jacob seemed to have been stabbed by something obviously, but apparently it was too large a hole to be a bullet or knife, and it couldn't have been a pole or spear due to the flexible nature of the wound? It didn't make sense, Rebekkah thought as she glanced around to look at Jacob's friends, who were waiting across the room. If they hadn't found him so soon ... Rebekkah didn't want to think about what might have happened.

"Yes Mrs Eso, the nature of his wound is confusing, but I need to remind you that your son's condition is stable now. The surgery was a success," Dr. Brooks reaffirmed as she placed a hand on Rebkkah's shoulder as the Doctor's demeanor changed from professional to concerned. "Look, Becks, I know you and Jacob have gone through some tough shit this year, but he's going to be fine. He's awake already, quiet, but he'll be fine," Brooks whispered reassuringly. "You'll be able to see him soon, k?" She finished while letting go of her friend.

Rebekkah nodded in reply despondently before replying, "Thank you, Sarah," she whispered before taking a seat at the edge of the waiting room again.

Jillian stood and walked over to the doctor. He glanced nervously at Rebekkah. Lately it was awkward being around her since she didn't know he was dating Jacob. He felt guilty mostly about not telling her. But then Jillian remembered why he got up.

"Can I see Jacob," he asked the doctor. He was really worried about his boyfriend.

Rebekkah

"I'm sorry ... Sir?" Dr. Brooks stated, not sure whom she was speaking with. "There are still a few tests being run on him, just to make sure everything is alright and stuff, and then after that, only family members can-" Sarah continued, only to be cut off as she saw Rebekkah shake her head.

"H-he's family, Sarah, he's ..." Rebekkah managed to get out before glancing away.

"I ... ok then, I'll make sure to grab you when he's ready then, alright?" Sarah asked rhetorically before turning around and quickly walking away.

Jillian turned to Rebekkah and raised an eyebrow. He wasn't family. Maybe she knew that he and Jacob were together. He smiled at the doctor.

"Thank you."

Then he turned back to Rebekkah. "And thank you too. But why say I'm family? Me and Jacob are...friends."

Rebekkah

Rebekkah took her purse out of the seat beside her, motioning for Jillian to come over and take a seat. This was a conversation that was overdue, Rebekkah knew, even if she didn't want to have it really.

"I ... have had my suspicions that you two were close friends," She replied awkwardly, not really sure how Jillian felt about ... well to be honest she didn't really know Jillian at all. Jacob generally kept her away from his new friends, for one contrived reason or another.

Jillian sat down, feeling awkward as well. He wondered how Jacob would react, but he didn't want to be the one to tell him.

"How close do you think we are," Jillian asked, wanting to be clear on the subject.

Rebekkah

Rebekkah glanced back towards her purse, not sure how to react to this situation now that she was positive she knew the true nature of her son's friendship with Jillian. "I've ... Jacob rarely cuddles with his friends in bed," Rebekkah answered as she looked up at the clock across the room.

Jillian felt his face heat up when she said that. He knew Jacob was going to be pissed that his mother knew about then, but he also felt relieved.

"I never wanted to hide it from you," Jillian said, looking down at his feet. "Jacob was the one who wanted to keep it a secret." The boy then looked at Rebekkah. "I kind of didn't want to say anything either because I wasn't sure if you'd approve of Jacob dating a boy."

Rebekkah

Rebekkah began to look back at Jillian, only to stop herself as she realized she wasn't sure if she was ok with it. Then again, it was better then that Daphne girl from a few years back ... At least, she hoped Jillian was better then her.

"Just ... don't lie to me again, and don't be scared of my son. Ever," Rebekkah replied as she finally looked at Jill, a grim smile on her face as she tried to sound ... approving? She couldn't be happy, not yet, not now, but Rebekkah hoped that this would suffice for now.

"Scared of Jacob? I'm not scared of him," Jillian said. He thought about it. "I just give into easily to what he wants."

Jillian smiled faintly at Rebekkah. "But thank you. I promise to treat Jacob well. And I won't lie to you again. But you'll going to have to tell Jacob you know."

(Who's in the waiting room? We have confirmation of Rebekkah and Jill, obviously, and Zach and Orion are probably there. I was just curious if Amy or Sayo are waiting there, or if they're still at home?)

Rebekkah

Rebekkah bit her lip, a bit disappointed to hear that Jacob had such power in his relationship. She wouldn't say anything about it, especially not now. Young love wasn't something she felt like tampering with.

"Fine, just ... lets both agree not placate whatever ... outburst might come out of all this," Rebekkah muttered.

Jacob

"Are you sure you ... I mean, I didn't feel anything." Jacob asked, an edge of panic seeping into the boy's tone as he glanced back towards Dr. Eli Brooks. He couldn't see the Physician's face, but Jacob hear Eli's sigh as the Doctor stood up.

"I'm sure it's nothing Jacob ... the results from your MRI should be ready in a few hours, we'll check again then," Eli replied before he made his way towards the door. "... You have a bit of a crowd waiting for you in the waiting room, you want me to get your Mom?" The Doctor asked as he looked back at Jacob. He was lying. Or at least downplaying something, Jacob could tell as he looked at Dr. Brooks calmly, almost apathetically before shrugging.

"Sure, let her in..." Jacob muttered in reply.
