"Well... I don't know," Orion told Jillian honestly, feeling even worse, "I just... If I was comfortable to have a relationship, I'd be comfortable with my friends knowing. I just assumed that Jacob was the same way and he was scared of how we'd react. I thought if I reacted positively, things would be the same as always, you know?"

Jacob

Jacob walked out of the room, not wanting to hear Orion and Jillian talk right now. The boy contemplated going after Zach, talking with her, but right now ... no, he had meant what he had said, Jacob reassured himself as he walked down the stairs and into his kitchen.

"Jacob is fine when it's just the two of us, but I think he's afraid of what others might think," Jillian explained. "After all he has this rep with girls. To find out he's dating a guy, who knows what might happen?"

Jillian smiled at Orion. "I'm glad you're taking it well."

"Whoever thinks differently of Jacob are d**** and he doesn't need to worry about them. They're not important," Orion told Jillian with a stern expression, "Jacob's my brother. Sure, I'd tease him about this, but it doesn't bother me."

"You say that now, but what if you saw me and Jacob making out," Jillian asked. He wanted to be sure that Orion could handle this. "It wouldn't digust you at all?"

"Well... Kind of, but I can get used to it," Orion told him with a shrug, "No worse than seeing him make out with some of the girls he dated before."

Jillian nodded.

"Just promise me you won't freak out on me because I'm gay. Like if we are changing in the same room. The only guy I will really look at is Jacob."

Jillian then bit his lip. "I have a question for you Orion actually."

Amy frowned as if she didn't get why Sayo was acting this way and she shrugged.

"It's ok. I think we should get going."

Carla

Carla nodded at Jennifer's answer, though she still wasn't sure if it was true. It would be better in the end if the government didn't find out anything they didn't have to know.

"Well, that's probably all of it," Carla stated before lying back into the couch.

"Well, as long as you're not staring at me, I'm good," Orion mused. He supposed he would have some reservations at the locker room at first, but those would disappear in time. He raised an eyebrow at his question, "What?"

"Have um Zach and Jacob ever dated," Jillian asked. "I mean I'm just curious. After all they have been friends for years, right?"

Zach sat down right outside her house. She was feeling horrible. She was an awful person. Jacob had every right to be mad at her.

"Not that this isn't the first time we fought like this," Zach muttered outloud. "I mean I was the one who told his mom he was sleeping with Daphne. Now that was a bad fight."

Sayo

"Alright. Sounds good to me." Sayo said. He was sure thankful Amy hadn't pressed the question or anything. He might have actually ended up telling her, which would have been rather....embarrassing, to say the least.

Jennifer

"Alright. So what now?"

Carla

"Now ... I'd try not to get killed if I were you, and I would stay away from Jacob and Jillian for a while," Carla advised as she stood up. "You're going to help me stalk these kids up close from now on, because I need sleep," Carla finished as she headed towards the door, opening it as she turned back to Jennifer. "Good luck," she muttered.

Jacob

Jacob stared at his cell phone as he walked down the street, waiting to see if Zach would call him, while also contemplating if he should do the same. It's not like they hadn't fought like this before ... Zach had been pissed that time Jacob had thrown Sayo's backpack away after Zach tried to bring him into the group (Before there was a group), or that time Zach hadn't gotten him grounded for two months for going out Daphne Brooks, gossipy slut that that girl was. But then, it seemed easier to get over those times ... Orion and Jillian hadn't really been in the picture all that much, Zach and Jacob had sort of only had each other... and Sayo, but no one ever went to him for advice. At least, Jacob didn't. Except for math. And extra cash.

Zach pulled out her cellphone and stared at it. She knew she should call Jacob and apologies. After all they had been through, Zach knew that Jacob would forgive her. So she pushed a button and waited for him to answer.

Jacob

Jacob made a split-second decision and began to dial Zach's number, though as he hit the six, it began to ring. "What? ... Oh," Jacob thought as he bit his lip. The boy contemplated changing his mind and just allowing the phone to ring, but ... even he wasn't that much of an ass, Jacob decided as he clicked send.

"Hey," He answered.

"Do you remember eighth grade," Zach started. "It was almost spring break and we were debating on what to do? How you asked me out and I told you that you timed it so wrong? How I use to like you, but then I changed my mind? We could never time it right. I use to think it was a sign, you know? Telling me that we weren't right for eachother."

Zach paused and continued. "Then I realized it meant we were only meant to be best friends. That we would have a deeper friendship that the ones you had with all those girls. Jacob I love you to death. I am so sorry for what I did. I can't afford to lose you."

Jacob

Jacob chuckled to hide how nervous and concerned he felt. For a while, Jacob had wondered if he was always bitter at Orion, Sayo, Amy, and (at first) Jillian, just because of how warped the dynamic and friendship between he and Zach seemed to get with each addition, each adjustment. It had always been his fault, the boy secretly knew, trying to push people away by being an ass, and always annoying Zach because of it. It kind of sucked, how he never seemed to realize how awful he was until it was too late.

"You're my best friend, Zach, you know that right?" Jacob muttered after a few seconds of silence. He could try to be better, for himself, for Zach, for Jill ... "I'm sorry I ****ed up again, it's just ... it's just ... so ****ing weird now, ya know?" Jacob asked rhetorically as he continued to walk down the street, ignoring the icy breeze that seemed to have come out of nowhere.

"Jacob of course I know that I'm your best friend," Zach laughed into the phone. "Who else would put up with all your crap for all these years? You're lucky I have stuck around. But you know what Jacob, I stayed your friend because you aren't that bad a guy underneath it all. And I know it's hard right now. After all you just found out you're bi and you're dating a guy. That can't be easy to go through. But everyone is here for you Jacob," Zach said. "Me, Jillian, Orion, Amy and Sayo. I know I should of asked you first before telling Orion, but I wanted to show you that it doesn't matter if he knows. He's still your friend."

Jacob

Jacob bit his lip as he listened to Zach's reply, emotionally charged as everything was. It had been a weird past year ... his dad was gone, his Mom had as complicated dating life as he did, a serial killer going about, and then Jill ... He was an asshole about all of those things, to everyone who cared about him, really. Maybe it was time to change, besides, it's not like the reputation at school ... it didn't matter as much, Jacob knew, even if it was hard to admit.

"I know Zach ... It's just, like, weird to see him be such a priority in your- in our lives. I know he means well, it just, it doesn't feel that easy," Jacob muttered as he walked past the park, not noticing how bare it was.

Killer

A very familiar figure in a black trenchcoat appeared before Jacob, suddenly. The creature grinned at him and spoke.

"Hello, Jacob. It seems we meet again."

"Jacob you've gone through so many girls in your life. I've seen you try to make them last as well. And I can really see that you're trying with him. I know it won't be easy at all," Zach said, feeling a bit better. At least she and Jacob were talking. "But you can't let that fear of whatever it is make you push people away. You don't want to end up alone. I know that. But no one is forcing you into anything either."

Zach started to laugh. "Now get over to my house so I can give you a hug."

"Sometimes... I don't know," Orion confessed with a sheepish grin, "When I met Zach and Jacob and Sayo, I used to be so jealous of the relationship between her and Jacob. I guess I was kind of selfish. I wanted her to like me. And I did lots of stupid things trying to impress her."

He paused before continuing with a wide smile, "But somehow, she decided to go out with me and Jacob's almost as close to me as she is. He really is like my brother. I don't know what I'd do without him."

Jacob

Jacob smiled despite the fact that Zach wouldn't see it, glad that he had a constant in his life. Glad that maybe now, he'd have more then just one as well ...

"Fine, I'll be right-" Jacob began to reply before he was cut off as a man in the trenchcoat appeared before him. Jacob remembered what had happened when Jennifer was there, he remembered the evidence stacked up for all the kills in the area, for his Father's murder. "Zach ... I'm sorry," Jacob apologized once again before quickly stating, "I love you, and Jillian and my Mom , and the o-," Jacob began to state as quickly as he could, suddenly stopping when he realized the tentacled freak wasn't about to wait for Jacob to say his goodbyes. The boy contemplated running, but knew that without Jennifer here to help with a rocket launcher or something ... he was nothing.

Jillian nodded. He had to admit he was kind of jealous of Jacob's and Zach's friendship. They were really close, which kind of confused Jillian at times. He was glad that he wasn't the only one.

"I don't know what I would do without him either. I mean I'm so worried that he's going to just leave me one day," Jillian admitted.

Zach frowned as Jacob stopped in midsentence, but didn't hang up.

"Jacob? What's wrong?"

Killer

A tentacle slithered from the Killer's outfit, a large and rather pointy end near the end of the thing. It slithered on the ground, almost as if feeling for something.

"Oh, worry not. Your time has not yet come. It will soon enough, though. All humans shall soon perish under the Wrath of my Mistress."

The tentacle then sprung into the air, and launched itself at Jacob. With a sickening crack, it pierced Jacob's left shoulder and embedded itself into a now fractured shoulder bone before pulling away a second later.

"Be lucky this is all I can do to you, Mortal. I have my orders. But soon the protection you all have will be gone...."

Jacob

"Huh?" Jacob asked, confused by the mistress talk before the killer sbegan moving around his tentacles.

"Oh sh-" Jacob began to mutter before he was suddenly stabbed by the monster. The boy clutched onto the phone as his shoulder bone shattered, and his axillary thoraco-acromial artery was pierced. Though Jacob didn't realize it until he realized his mouth was open, the boy was screaming in pain, blood already beginning to drip down his arm and onto the cellphone, he didn't have time listen to what the monster said next as he tried to pick up the phone to reply to Zach, but the boy simply collapsed to the ground instead. (The laserguided karma might be on overkill setting now. 0____0 )
