Kegan

Kegan sighed loudly at Rein's insistence. "Fine, but I'm going to lie down anyways." He replied while shifting his body so that he could comfortable lie on his back, right beside Atiya, while his head was near Rein's lap. "Just...remember that I'm not too bad." Kegan said quietly before squeezing his eyes shut, not wanting to see what Rein was going to do next.
-----------------------------
Katie

"....Oh yeah." Katie slowly agreed as she remember that Nell still thought C.C. wanted to have sex with him. For a second she thought that she should tell Nell...but doing so would just make him mad at her, most likely. And it was better if he was scared of C.C. instead of being mad at Katie, as far as he was concerned.
------------------------------
Savina

As Savina woke up, she saw that Maul was fighting someone... Probably the person who had destroyed the village, seeing how well Maul's opponent was holding his own. But Savina quickly realized that she had no chance of surviving if she confronted the Humage, so instead Savina looked up at the Girl who had survived, smiling at her reassuringly.

"He'll be fine. Maul knows how to handle himself, he used to be an Heir back during the competition." Savina stated as she stood up slowly. But then a random fireball flew right past Savina's head, hitting the Lt. Klaus, and Private Sai.

Savina couldn't stop herself from swearing loudly as she realized that the men had been killed. "Don't worry, you aren't going to die here." Savina reassured as she grabbed the Girls hand and quickly ran towards Sunny. The Lt. was almost thirty yards away from Savina, and with all the debris and fire being thrust everywhere it took a few minutes to get to Sunny, but Savina eventually got herself and the Survivor with Sunny. "Are you-" she was about to ask before being cut off by Maul.

Apparently, the fight was over.

"I'm fine." Savina replied. She could tell that her back was severely bruised, and there was some blood in her hair. But otherwise, she was fine. Besides being a little confused by the sign language the Girl with her had used, of course.
----------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle bit his lip while nodding to show that he understood. Even if he was still very confused.

"Umm, no. Please tell me. You might as well, by now." Carlisle replied as he tried to sound optimistic about the whole issue. He failed, of course. But that didn't really matter.

(Valen I can see having an English accent. Ana would have... a Chinese accent, maybe. I'm not really sure.)

C.C.

"Good! You can go ahead and do that while I start making the arrangements. Ah, sometimes I love playing match-maker." C.C. said with a smile.

Maul

"Good. She says her name is Silence, and that she is fine." Maul said, easily translating Silence's sign-language. He shifted his weight to hold the child in his hands better and walked over to them.

"It also appears we have another survivor."

Rein

"Oh come on! I'm not going to kill you or anything." Rein mumbled under her breath. She placed her hands on each side of Kegan's head and began to apply a gentle healing spell. When she was done, Rein lifted her hands away from Kegan's head.

"Feel better?"

"You understan sign langauge," Sunny said, trying not to sound too impressed. "Maybe we should learn if Silence decides to come with us." She then turned her attention to the child. "Are they ok? I can't believe a child had made it out alive."
------------
"Your spirit line is wavy indicating that you have and will face many up and down in your life. Sounds fun," Mab said, tracing over the lines again. "This small one by your middle finger indicates wealth but it isn't long so going off of mine we're going to have money trouble in the future." She studied the life and love line trying to determine which one to say first. "You love line is long but some other lines intersect it and it's not completely straight. So you had trouble in that area and will continue, but things should be ok." She looked at his life line and made a difficult choice. "You life line shows you will live a heathly life and that it should be pretty long."

But that was a lie. The line was medium in length. His life would not be as long as he wanted it to be. Something would cut it short.
-------------
Eiden appeared in the temple. He looked around seeing no one was here and was ready to leave when a woman stepped into the room.

"It seems we have an unwelcomed guest here," she said. Eiden could tell by her movements that she was blind. That interested him.

Savina

"It's nice to meet you Silence." Savina said quietly, though her eyes were on the young boy Maul had saved. It was amazing that two people had survived this chaos. And on the other hand, it was tragic that Savina was satisfied with only two people surviving.

Nevertheless, Savina walked over to the young boy and crouched down. "So, do you speak sign language as well?" She asked, curious that the boy hadn't spoken yet.
---------------------------
Katie

"....I bet."
----------------------------
Kegan

Kegan didn't reply, having fallen asleep while Rein had been healing his head.
-----------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle laughed quietly at Mab's news, surprised and very pleased with the news. "Thank you...for telling me that." He replied while lowering his hand.

"It is good to know that things will be alright. Maybe everything will come true after all, or maybe...." Carlisle let the sentence drift off as he contemplated where his life would go. Would he eventually accomplish his dreams of family and being a Doctor? Would he become the Emperor like Alquonde had wanted him too? Or would he be caught and put in the Colosseum again, forced to fight for the rest of his life.....

Carlisle wasn't sure to be honest, but he tried not let the last thought linger as he remembered that Mab was looking at him. "So is that all for today? With the fortune telling I mean."

Maul, Boy

The boy looked up to Savina with a somewhat fearful expression. "Where's....where's Mommy? And Daddy? They told me to hide in the basement and then...where....where are they?"

Maul closed his eyes and felt his blood boil for what Caesar had done to this poor child. He was an orphan now, with no one to raise him. Damn that man! The next time he saw that monster...

But he needed to focus on the here and now. Specifically, what to do with the child in his arms, and what to tell him.

C.C.

"Well, go on then. Go ask him out."

Rein

Rein scowled after seeing Kegan had fallen asleep, but she couldn't help but smile at the peaceful look on his face. She bent down and gave him a long kiss on his lips.

"Actually yes," Mab said. "I...I'm pretty tired. I'm not sure how Chris does it sometimes. And to think she has to live with them."
------------
"I thought everyone was welcomed at a Temple," Eiden asked.

"Yes people are but you are not a person," Chris said simply. She couldn't already see his future. The path he was most likely to take. The one of vengence.

"Just because I'm different doesn't mean I'm not a person."

"What is it that you come here for?"

"Your help."

"My help?"

"Yes. The Rebellion could use someone like you. Your visions would be a great asset," Eiden said, knowing that she would probably be pleased with this news. After all it beat living here for the rest of her life.

"I am not interested in joining the Rebellion. If I was I would have done so already," Chris told him dismissively.

"What?!" Eiden was not happy with her rejection. How could she choose serving some stupid God over taking down the Empress. "I know you want to bring Tsuba down. Don't lie about that. I know the need for vengence anywhere even if it's small."

Chris seemed to stare at the doors for a few minutes before speaking. "Your future seems bleak no matter what. If you don't back down now things can be very bad for you."
--------------
"Ssh," Sunny said, the maternal inscinct in her taking over somewhat. "You're ok. You're parents. They had to go. But they allowed us to find you. We will take care of you from now on."

Silence noted that was a very girl like thing to say and do, wondering if the soldier was hiding something. Wouldn't surprise her.

Carlisle

Carlise nodded in reply. "Yes well...if the walking gets too much for you just tell me, and I'll start looking for a place that we can stay for the night." He informed Mab.
--------------------
Katie

"....Ok then." Katie replied as she handed the reins of her horse to C.C. , quickly jumping off of the horse afterward. Katie ran through the small caravan the Soldiers had set up, finding that Nell wasn't in the weapons wagon with Senka, nor the medical wagon with Lt. Lyn. Knowing there was one place left for Nell to be, Katie ran towards the supplies wagon and jumped in. "Nell?" She asked immediately after arriving.
---------------------
Savina

Savina's heart fell as she heard the boys words. But instead of replying or reassuring, Savina stood up and took a few steps back. She was surprised and relieved to see Sunny's Maternal attitude toward the young boy, but Savina realized that it was probably going to be very helpful in this situation.

Maul, Boy

"R-Really?" the little boy sniffled, looking hopefully at Sunny.

"Yes," Maul replied. A smile slowly came to the boy's face.

"T-Thanks. I'm Bakar." the young child said.

Rein

After she was done kissing him, Rein started to think of a way to wake up Kegan. After an idea came to mind, she gave a mischivious smile and whispered in his ear,

"Kegan! Syrien and Brighe are making out!"

"Don't lie about something like that," Sten scolded Rein, having remained silent throughout the healing process. For once, he looked frightened, "That thought it.... unpleasant."

(I imagine Alquonde to sound Native American, Nebi to sound American, and for Sten to sound... like Sten.)

((I can only imagine Epiphany to have some kind of Greek accent. And I might not be on as often starting tomorrow because I have some certain measures to follow after getting my teeth pulled out.))

Epiphany ran out of the cell and waited for Grace. " Let's go back and around. It can make the exit open for us to leave."

"Aw you aren't going to offer to carry me," Mab teased, bumping her side against's Carlisle. "And ok."
----------
Sunny was glad that her words had worked. She felt sorry for Bakar, but she was also glad that he was ok.

"I am Lt. Sunny Riot but you can call me Sunny."
----------
Nell started as he say Katie. He was checking on the supplies, kind of bored at the moment.

"Hey Katie," he said brightly. "Can I help you with something?"

Kegan

Kegans breathing slowed down a bit after Rein had shouted at him, the boy having woken up, but he was still not sure what Rein had said. And then suddenly it hit him. "Ahhh!" He screamed while jumping up, after the boy scanned the back of the carriage though, he realized Rein must have been lying. "Nice."
-----------------------
Savina

"And I'm Sergeant Elda." Savina said as she looked between Silence and Bakar. She tried to smile reassuringly, supposing that since these two were likely the only Survivors of Caesar's rampage on the town, that they were likely still in shock. Who knew if they both even realized how devastating the knowledge would be when it finally hit them.

"...We have a camp set up just a few miles out of the city, why don't we go there and get you both something to eat."
-------------------------
Carlisle

"...Oh yes, would you like me to-" Carlisle quickly replied to Mab, not realizing that she was just teasing. But the Doctor was cut off as a loud cracking noise came, echoing throughout the Forest. A few seconds later a large burst of wind followed, blowing Carlisle down onto his back. Something had happened, it was like someone had haphazardly cut through space. Probably a powerful summon, or perhaps, a teleportation spell that had almost gone wrong.

Carlisle quickly sat up and looked towards Mab. "Are you alright?"
--------------------------
Grace

Grace nodded her head in reply. So far so good, she didn't even hear any of the Prison Guards coming, which was excellent. Of course that just meant they had to move now before the Guards did hear something.

Maul, Bakar

"I-I am little hungry. And tired." Bakar replied, brightening a bit at Savina's suggestion. Maul nodded his approval.

"It would be best to regroup with everyone, then."

Rein

"I thought that'd wake you up." Rein giggled, amused by Kegan's reaction to her lie. Atiya stirred in her sleep but, thankfully, didn't wake up.

"Glad you're awake, now. I guess your fears about my healing powers are unfounded, huh?" Rein gloated a little.

Katie

Katie smiled at Nell, mumbling a greeting as she climbed through some of the supplies. She eventually found a nice place to sit, but unfortunately, she couldn't see Nell through the bags of Grain she was sitting next to. Well this could be awkward. But Katie supposed that it wasn't too bad... At least Nell couldn't see her blush.

"So umm Nell.... We're going to be in Naron soon. Probably by the middle of tomorrow. Maybe even sooner...."
-------------------------
Kegan

"No, no. I suppose there are different reasons to be afraid around you now." Kegan said with a straight face before it cracked into a smile, revealing that he was teasing her now.
-------------------------
Savina

Savina nodded her head in reply. "Yes, Sir."

Rein

"Oh shut up!" Rein said, rolling her eyes at him. She gave him a little shove with her hands and smiled back at him.

"Hmm...you know, there is this one thing that I remember C.C. telling me about the Heirs and the original Emperor..." Rein added thoughtfully.

Maul, Bakar

Some time later Maul and his team reunited with the other groups spread out around the ruined city, and they returned to their camp. After nearly two hours of searching, no other survivors, aside from the two Maul's group had found, had been found. A great loss of life, if only two survivors out of thousands of people had been left.

Now Maul was giving Bakar some food to eat, and time to rest. The little boy had been mostly quiet during their journey, but he had eagerly accepted the food. Now the only question was what to do with him, and the woman.

Mab had hit a tree, but she was ok.

"I'll be fine. What just happened," she said, standing up slowly. She scanned the area feeling unsure.
-------------
Silence was quiet too, though that made since because she was mute. Still it kind of creeped Sunny out. She had never met a mute person before. Asking questions might be difficult. Sunny wondered if what happened had caused her muteness, but by the fact she knew sign langauge, the Lt. deemed that Silence had been quiet for a long time.
-------------
"That's good," Nell said. "Though I'm enjoying my time in the wilderness." Not that it was much wilderness, but any outside after being couped up in the castle was good for the Inu.

Kegan

Kegan glanced back at Rein. "Yeah, and what would that be?" The Elf asked as he looked into Rein's eyes, a soft smile on his face.
-------------------------
Savina

Savina sat by a small fire, a glum expression on her face as she looked at Maul and Bakar from a distance. Two people. The city had had somewhere around eight thousand people living in it, and only two had survived. She still had trouble coping with these facts. She could tell that the other Soldiers around her thought the same.
-------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle nodded his head in reply as he stood up. He was relieving that Mab was ok, but now that his attention was on the Forest around them Carlisle was even more worried. The Doctor was sure that something had or someone had teleported into the Forest, and whoever or whatever it was was certainly powerful. But Carlisle wasn't sure what it might be. Had the Empire discovered which way Carlisle had been heading? If they had then Carlisle wouldn't be surprised if there was an army waiting a few kilometers ahead. But of course, he couldn't be sure.....

"Something else is in the Forest now...I think they just teleported here." Carlisle answered truthfully.
-------------------------
Katie

Katie smiled as Nell replied, even if she couldn't see him. "Yeah, it has been nice. But C.C. says we'll be in the city for just a few days so we can resupply." She informed Nell before quieting down for a few seconds.

"So since we're gonna be there for a while I was thinking....maybe we could explore the city together, alone?"

"Really?" Mab was kind of freaked out. Something or one was in the woods with them now, but they weren't sure who or what it might be. She wondered if it was the Empire and glanced quickly at Carlisle.

"Should we look around or get right to defend ourselves or something?"
-----------
Sunny sat down next to Savina and followed her glaze to Maul and Bakar.

"We did good today," she said. "At least we found people. It's better than them all dead."
-----------
Nell was a little taken aback by Katie's offer and he blushed, glad that she couldn't see him.

"Sure. That sounds like fun."

Rein

"Well...I remember her mentioning that the first Emperor had been infertile, or maybe had trouble producing an Heir. I don't remember. Either way, C.C. said that the first Emperor had cast a spell that continues to exist in his descendents that make them more fertile than people regularly are." Rein replied with a thoughtful expression.

Maul, Bakar

The boy was responding rather well to him, Maul reflected, as he watched the small child eat. Ever since he had rescued him from Caesar, Bakar seemed to respond to him rather well, and had yet to leave his side. It was good thing, but it worried Maul a bit. After all, it wouldn't be good for Bakar to become too attached to him. After all, the child would have to leave their care eventually.

Or...perhaps there was another option, Maul wondered.

Kegan

Kegan's mouth hanged open for a few seconds after Rein's tale, before laughing suddenly. "Well of course that witch would say something like that. She's always enjoyed teasing and messing with people...." Kegan replied while rubbing the back of his neck nervously. If that was true then that....explained a few things, actually. But it also meant that Atiya, as his Daughter..... Well that didn't matter now. He hoped.
-------------------------------
Katie

"Great...then it's a date." Katie replied, whispering the last part as she smiled to herself.
-------------------------------
Carlisle

Carlisle shook his head. "No, waiting and wasting time wont help much. We'll just change our course a bit and continue to travel." Carlisle answered as he studied the area around them. "If we walk North-East instead of due North through the Forest then we should, hopefully, avoid whatever is in here." Carlisle stated, though he wasn't confident with the plan.
-------------------------------
Savina

Savina nodded in agreement before smiling at Sunny, and Liona who was sitting just a few feet away, as well. "Yeah... it's not that that I'm worried about. It's the fact that one person could do....that." Savina replied as she motioned towards the city. "It's terrifying."

Rein

"Still...what if it's true? I mean, it'd certainly explain a great deal of things. Not to mention it'd lead to problems if we want to continue doing certain...things after I give birth to our next child." Rein said with a slight blush. If that did turn out to be true, Rein certainly didn't want to end up pregnant every few years. Aside from the stress it would cause her body and whatnot, Rein certainly didn't want to have too many children at once.

"As a soldier you shouldn't let your fear show," Sunny said, sounding a bit lecture-like. "But it is a terrifying thing to think someone did all this by themselves. Means we might be out of our league, not that I ever said that."
-----------
Mab nodded at Carlisle. He seemed to know what he was doing and so she would follow his lead.

Savina

Savina nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, the only thing I have to comfort myself with is the fact I know I wont be killed by one of those Heirs. ...But that's not much of a thing to be happy about I suppose." Savina admitted, her depressed mood now very obvious.

But Savina tried to straighten herself out as she realized Sunny was right. "But it doesn't matter. We still have a job to do, an important job. I'm sure when we find one of the other Heirs we'll be able to catch him without too many people dying."
