This World

"Sayo! Nothing like that happened," Zach said blushing. Then she smirked at Sayo. "Oh but you would come on to me?"

Amy, the only one not directly involved, put the movie in and sat down in front of it.

Sayo

"You especially cannot do that there!" Sayo all but shrieked. He knew Orion was intentionally firing him up, but still, Sayo felt he had to object to that idea, in the off chance Orion was serious. He became more red in the face after he heard what Zach said.

"N-No! I wouldn't come onto either of you!"

Zach laughed and shook her head. "Ok I think we tortured each other enough. Let's watch the movie," she said, moving to the counch. Amy was on the floor in front of it.

Orion laughed and patted Sayo on the back. The guy really needed to stop being so serious. Maybe ask Amy out.

He sat next to Zach and wrapped an arm around her, "Good idea. You have an excuse to cuddle up with me now."

Zach leaned into Orion, her head on his shoulder. It was a weird, but comfortable feeling. Though she wouldn't admit it, having Orion close by with his arm around her gave Zach a sense of safety.

Sayo

Sayo gave a sigh of relief once Zach and Orion stopped messing with him. He took a seat on a nearby chair as he started to watch the movie. Though his attention wavered once in awhile, as he stole a few discreet glances at Amy.

Jacob

"Oh come on, Sayo, you're about as subtle as the movie is about Vader being Skywalker's dad." Jacob muttered to Sayo about thirty minutes in. "Loosen up, ask her out. It's Amy, she's not going to turn you down."

Sayo

"I-I don't know what you're talking about." Sayo denied with a blush, making sure to keep his voice low.

Jacob

"Uh huh, yeah. Don't worry man, I wont tell nobody. Of course I wont have to, but still." Jacob teased his friend quietly before backing away.

Amy, oblivious to the conversation, looked away from the screen to her friends.

"Is something going on?"

"Oh it's nothing Amy. Just keep watching the movie," Zach said.

Sayo

"Uh...say, uh, that I did like Amy...how would I...ask her out?" Sayo mumbled to Jacob, making sure to keep his voice very low so no one else would hear. On retrospect, it probably was apparent to his friends (minus Amy) that he had a crush on her. Still, Sayo wasn't comfortable talking about it. However, at the same time, he wasn't entirely sure how to approach the subject with Amy, if he ever did. A conflict of interests, sure, but Sayo had finally decided to give in and decided to ask Jacob. It couldn't hurt to ask, after all. And he kinda phrased it in a hypothetical way...

Orion smirked, watching Amy's innocent cluelessness and Sayo's obviousl embarrassment in amusement. He smiled at Zach. He had to admit that having his arm around her was a dream come true. He had liked her for a long time, after all.

Jacob

Jacob chuckled to himself after hearing Sayo's nonconfessing confessional. "Well, considering this is Amy we're talking about, and it's already obvious that she enjoys your company. You should just ask her, man."

Sayo

"Well...it's just that...er, if I did want to ask her out, I'm not sure what I'd say. I'd be afraid of getting tongue-tied if I tried to ask her out." Sayo admitted blushing a little. He tried to focus a little more on the movie, but he ended up stealing a few more glances at Amy.

Jacob

"Just tell her: Amy I like you as more then just a friend, want to go out Saturday on a date?" Jacob informed Sayo, very amused at how nervous his friend was.

Sayo

"Well...what if I screw things up? I don't want to hurt her feelings, or damage our friendship." Sayo said, deciding to drop all pretense this was a hypothetical question. He was really nervous about that possibility as well. He really did care about Amy, and didn't want to harm her if they ever did go out.

Jacob

"Dude, don't take this the wrong way, but you are incapable of hurting someone elses feelings. Even on accident." Jacob said as he brushed off everything Sayo had said as though it were nothing but foolish concerns. "And the friendship thing? That excuse is so retarded, and you know it."

((In light of how things may turn out, with what I have planned, I find Jacob's statement rather ironic.))

Sayo

"Well..." Sayo kinda hated to admit it, but Jacob had a point. Still, he was hesitant about the matter and also worried.

"I've...never had a girlfriend before." Sayo admitted reluctantly. "I wouldn't really know how to act. Besides, I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of Amy, either, if we went out."

Jacob

"So, that's a part of relationships. Some girls even find that to be attractive and stuff. Don't sweat it, because if you over think everything just to find a reason not to do something, then you will never do anything."

Sayo

"I guess you're right." Sayo admitted. He still felt nervous about the whole thing, but he also felt better at the same time. Hopefully it wouldn't be as hard to ask when he finally got the courage to ask Amy out.

"Thanks Jacob."

Jacob

"It's fine, it's what I'm here for man." JAcob replied before taking a sip of beer.

Zach yawned. She was pretty tired. She wondered how tonight was going to go.

"Oh Amy we have to sleep in our clothes tonight. We can pick up our things tomorrow."

"Ok Zach. Thanks for the heads up," Amy said, still watching the movie. She was pretty engrossed right now. The story was interesting.

Sayo

Sayo frowned a little as Jacob drank, but decided to say nothing of it for the moment. He continued to watch the movie, focusing a little more on it. However, his attention was diverted to Amy every once and awhile, stealing glances at her.

"Tired?" Orion asked Zach in amusement. He loved moments like these where Zach wasn't trying to kill him.

"Just a little. But I'll be able to make it through the movie," Zach reassured Orion. She noticed Sayo's glances but kept quiet about it. She found it cute.
