Dream World: Nightmare Plague (Currently seeking: None. OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Dreams. On a scientific level, they are made up of thoughts influenced by current events in one's life. Just simple recallings given a weird format. On a philisophical level they are our deepest desires, the solutions to our problems, and our worst fears rising to the top of our minds, and taking form. What is the truth of dreams? Not one person in their waking mind could imagine their power.

There is a world far, but yet not so far, from our own world. Revera. On Revera there are four major land masses. On one of these lands there is a kingdom, known as Terrena. The Kingdom of Terrena is under the attack of dark forces. Fierce monsters now prowl the Kingdom's lands freely, in search of their prey, the native animals, and travellers who dare to attempt taking the roads. What has been come to be known as the Nightmare Plague originated at the most southerly peak, a large port town called Guran, now the entire city is covered in a black mist, that slowly crosses the land. The lucky few who survive claim it is the source of the new monsters, and that it is ruled by an evil fiure known as the "Lord of Dark Dreams" but has been shortened simply to, the "Nightmare King." Times are dark, and the in the royal capitol the king is preparing for what seems to be a hopeless battle. But in the north in the small forest village of Porte, the town of Heroes, the least touched area by the Nightmare Plague, there is a legend. A legend of the eight Celestial Knights. Heroes from beyond the stars that had already saved the world of Revera once, disappearing after their duty was done. But leaving behind them a promise that when Revera was in danger, they would return to defend the land once more. It is considered a story, but some belive that the legendary knights would show themselves once more, and put an end to the Nightmare King's attack on Revera. Others think that to even dream of the knights coming to their aid was foolishness. Little did they know that dreaming for them was the best chance they had.

You are: A "Celestial Knight", or a teenager who wakes up on a strange planet, with only a weapon and the clothes on their back (it's a figure of speach, you have the rest of your clothes besides the ones on your back as well.) You might have a few minutes of not weird world time on earth, but after that you must end up teleported to Revera. You'll wake up not too far from the village of Porte, in front of a statue of your Celestial Knight, which are not all coventional knights by the way. There is:

The Knight, who has a sword, and shield.

The Wizard, who has a staff, and uses offensive magic.

The Healer, who uses a staff as well, but heals, and can use some light based offensive spells.

The Holy Knight, who uses a claymore two handed sword, whatever you want to call it, and can do some healing too.

The Assassin, who uses a short sword, and uses speed to fight.

The Archer, who uses a bow and arrow.

The Wrestler, who uses hand to hand combat, and wears bladed knuckes, and boots.

The Battle Mage, who uses a lance, that doubles as a staff, and can use some offensive, and some healing magic.

Those are the eight types of characters I need. Anyways, the statues are in the forest surrounding the village. There will be some kind of path leading you to the village, but just a clear path. You won't be too far though. This is the character limit for the time being. It's a pretty fixed path rp, and you will have a chance to make badies later, but I just want the heroes for now.

Rules:

1. No attention hogging, your character can't always save the day, and your character won't always win the fight, above all else your character can't teleport from player of the opposite gender to player of the opposite gender to hit on them.
2. I will do the majority of bad guy minion control, and if it fits the rp well enough, I might ask you to lose a fight. (More just in the case of, you end up fighting the second in command of the bad guys, or just a really powerful guy. Don't worry, you'll always get your chance at vengence.)
3. Don't overpower your character. Sure, you can move like a blur, and be an epic fighter, or cast giant explosions, sometimes even bring back the dead, but not the first time you pick up a weapon.
4. Don't let romance conquer the rp. It's still a cheesy magical adventure rp. You can still have some romance though, but don't go over the top, and make it realistic-ish. You're already killing goblins, I'm not about to tell you love at first sight is impossible.
5. Try to have good grammar, and keep the posts as lengthy as possible. Five lines is a good goal for every post.
6. No god moding.
7. I can change the rules if needed.

Personality: Kasa is a pretty distant person, mainly because she grew up without friends or others around her. She doesn't take to authority well and will act out if she believes she is being treated unfair. She is very sneaky and a good liar too. Kasa mainly resorts to revenge when she has been wronged. Still Kasa is a good person and will turn her back on what she deems as wrong. Pretty smart too, but it's mostly street smarts.

History: Kasa grew up mainly on the streets. Her parents were killed in a car crash and so she was sent to live with her aunt. But Kasa didn't want to live with her and ran away. But because she is still young, Kasa has trouble finding jobs and food, so at the age of fourteen, she went to her aunt, who took her in despite what had happened. Kasa has been living a somewhat normal life, behind in school. She finds an escape from the harsh of reality in her dreams.

History: Monica grew up with just an abusive father. No siblings or mother. Her mother was probably some stripper at a casino. Although Monica is somewhat of a 'bright kid' due to her abuse she goes for the silent type. Her teachers are mostly impressed with her creative writing. All she says is that she gets the ideas from her dreams. Little did she know her dreams would take her on a great adventure, this time for real and not on the pages of a worn notebook.

Personality: Cold, intelligent, and witty. Lacks self-control over his emotions though and that gets him into trouble sometimes. He is also absent-minded and day dreams quite often, enjoying the temporary escape. Dubhan enjoys affecting other people and he doesn't care whether that means hurting them or helping them, as long as they change somehow. He has a bad habit of starting many projects at once and then never finishing any of them.

History: Dubhan was born in Wicklow Ireland, a decent sized town down the coast from Dublin. He was raised by his single mother and lived a pretty normal life until he turned fifteen. His Mother had died in a car accident while on her way back from work. The next few months were rather hellish for Dubhan as he was placed from foster home to foster home, even staying with his annoying grandmother for a few weeks.
But in the end something rather...shocking happened to Dubhan. His Father came back and said that he would take care of his Son. Not really having the chance to say no and knowing that he had no better options Dubhan moved to Montana in the United States of America to live with his Father. He got a job there and always kept himself busy as he tried to avoid his Father.
Yesterday Dubhan turned eighteen. Now with the options to legally live on his own the boy has packed all of his things into his truck and is now driving to Oregon where he intends to live.
Other: Is heterosexual though he honestly could care less about being in any sort of romantic relationship.

Once all the current reserved members are done, I'd like to start, so if they aren't taken by the time everybody else is ready to start, then there will be a quick toss up for the wrestler, who's name is being changed to fighter, because it's more hand to hand boxing, and kick boxing style fighting, and the wrestler doesn't have quite the same appeal in name, and for the Holy Knight. But I'll make a special reserve for you Alec, so if we're all ready to start, and the Holy Knight isn't taken then you can play as him/her. This is a likely scenario so I'd keep a character in mind for them.)

Sure, I'll mark you down for the space. Also, one thing I would like to add is that people tell me if they are losing interest instead of just stopping posts. Plus the characters so far are a group, so try and post at a pace comfortable for the whole group, and try not to leave people behind. OK! So we just need everybody to finish up their characters, and then we're ready to start.

As a hold knight, she will wear white armor with a blue turtle neck dress underneath, and a long white cape with a silver leaf tying it in the front.

History: When Anke was little, she was known as being an anti-social fighter that beat up other little boys. She had two close friends- Derek and Amanda- whom she protected from anyone and everything, even adults. Despite her justice style of friendship, she was labeled as a delinquent by teachers. Her parents put her in anger management. To make up for her serious attitude as a child, she started to grow... backwards. She became more and more childish and cute, and her height and appearance doesn't help either. This odd attitude rewarded her plenty of friends in high school. She is currently a freshmen in college, and she used to be roomies with Derek- but mysteriously, he disappeared. This is probably the most traumatic part of her life, and she had to move in with her parents due to the fact she couldn't handle being alone.

Other: Due to her size and appearance, guys tend to avoid her thinking she's 14. Thus, she has not lost her virginity, and is incredibly flirty because of it. She gets very, very mad if denied.

I dunno. There are two minor problems. As I mentioned earlier, you would be transported too Revera with only yourself your clothes, and your weapon. So you will not posses armor at the start, and if you acquire armor it shouldn't be quite as extravagant as that. But you can achieve that armor later, because of some plot devicyness that will be thrown in later in the rp. (that was supposed to be a secret actually.) Also Derek's disappearance can have something to do with Revera, if that's what you were going for, but he cannot appear in the rp. I'll accept you, but you cannot wear the armor at the start of the rp, and understand that Derek cannot make an appearance for now.

That's okay- Derek's disappearance is just part of her original storyline, but she can be looking for him I suppose, without him appearing. 83

History: Alex never had a troubling childhood. He was a smart and quick witted boy who adults only believed would go great places. As his intelligence grew however, he began to take a different outlook on the world than others would have believed. He'd look at everday accidents and deaths and come to the conclusion that people aren't in control of their own destinies. What they decided to do was irrevelant, because they were always at the mercy of fate.

He skipped school and did little to nothing in its place. He seemed to no longer see any point in anything.

Shortly after he turned 11, his Dad was forced to move back to China because of business. Wade pleaded his parents to allow him to stay, and they let him. However, he had to live with his Uncle and work in his Uncle’s Chinese restaurant. Wade’s uncle is kind, but has high expectations for his nephew. He works him harder than his other employees; always pressures him to study hard and get good grades; and he taught Wade kung fu in order to protect himself, Wade’s uncle being a former championship winner in his younger days.

Personality: he has a very strict set of rules to life. Everybody deserves to be free. Everybody has the right to choose their own destiny. But other than this, he is unsure about life, and about himself. What should he do, and many of the world's issues have him morally puzzled.
Appearence: He has longish brown hair, just above his eyes in the front, and the base of his neck in the back. He has light green eyes, peaceful mostly, like a tree, but at other times they are hostile, and protective. He wears a beige jacket, with a black shirt depicting a sword with wings on the hilt. He wears jeans on his legs, and black boot like shoes. He is about 5'11 and has a medium build.
History: Josh has lead a pretty normal life. He grew up playing team sports, being seen as a good leader for teams, but he always doubted his abilities, in everything. He once attempted fencing, but failed because he didn't have the support of a team, and he wasn't very skilled. Josh continued with sports like soccer, and basket ball, never getting into the roughness necessary for football, making sure that he never became a jock. He was to strange for something like that anyways. He would constantly let his mind run wild, and when he told you about a dream it was always the strangest dream when you tried to compare. He gained popularity when he began dating a cheer leader, but he never fit in with her crowd, they are still dating now, but he finds her a bit demanding, but is too shy to tell her, even though he wants to break up.

Personality: Abit absent Minded. He's generally a polite and friendly person, but he gets distracted easily. it's hard to tell if he has major focus, or has a low attention span. He has a tendency to stare at random little things and say random lines. Quite slow on the uptake sometimes. His attitude can be strongly described as 'Go with the Flow'.
Appearence: Wears a black hoodie with a grey shirt. Wears black combats and fingerless gloves. Gary can't really be described as Dark, but his eyes don't like very focused; they look very tired and mellow. He has neat, short black hair and has a fair complexion.
History: Gary is born under a german family. While they thought they were going to have a blonde child since both of them were blonde, it caused quite a ruckus. In Childhood, he usually strayed away from modern videogames to play in the garden and that's when his interest in Nature started. In primary school, he usually talks to everyone, but has never made a true friend. He spent his breaks on the grass, staring at the sky. No one knows what he is thinking. In high school, it was pretty much the same, he didn't fall into a clique. He would just sit under a tree and relax until a girl joined him. He didn't really care as long as he wasn't bothered. It wasn't long until this little group grew into a small gathering- about 40 people would just lay on the grass, watching the sky with Gary. That first girl who joined him actually fell in love with him and now Gary has a Girlfriend, but he isn't really bothered about it to notice. It was perplexing to see that gary had attained above average marks in all his lessons, when teachers reported him to have 'slept most of the time'.
Other: Some say that in his head, he is actually thinking about mental problems, others say that he is writing novels in his head. When asked he answered:
'If there's a Flying Squirrel, why wouldn't there be a Flying Snake? I mean, they both climb up on trees quite allotand probably jump out of them. I suppose a Flying Snake is a lizard then. Does that mean that Lizards are evolved forms of Snakes?'

(We have everybody. So we can begin. As previously mentioned we'll start in the real world and then be teleported to the statues surrounding Porte, all of them are in the woods and not too close to the village. Each one depicts the celestial knight you are.

(Sorry for the double post. But it's postin' time.)

Josh sat at his desk. He was trying to look like he was busy working, even though it was the beginning of summer break. It was better than letting his parents know that he was talking to his girlfriend, Stacey. They didn't approve of her, and frankly neither did he. "Look, I'm not coming drinking with you and your friends." he said, trying to keep his voice low, even though it was obvious that he was annoyed. "I don't want you to put out!" he said once again trying to keep calm and low voiced. "Fine! I'm lame! I'm still not coming out there tonight!" he said finally yelling. As he listened to her next words, he stiffened. "Fine... fine I'll come out there. But I'm not drinking, and I'm just coming out to make sure you don't do something stupid." he said, half wishing she would and then leave him alone, even though if she did he would still come back and help her out. He was pathetic like that. "I'll see you tonight. Bye." he said, and shut his cell phone. He sighed and collapsed onto his desk. He was tired, and he just wanted to sleep... peacefully, without worries.

"Uncle, I finished sweeping!" Wade called out to his Uncle in the other room, as he leaned the broom against the wall and hung his apron up on the rack.

"Did you wash the dishes?" Wade's uncle replied back. "Yes." "Feed the cat?" "Yes." "Wash my car?" "You don't have a car, Uncle." Wade reminded. "Oh yes, that's right...what about washing my laundry then?" the old man asked. "C'mon, Uncle! It's been a busy day today and I'm tired." Wade pleaded. "Hmph. I was only kidding. Well, I guess that's enough for today. But don't think that you can sleep in just because tomorrow's your summer vacation!" Wade's Uncle scolded.

"Yes Uncle, I know." And with that, Wade headed upstairs into his room and immediately flung himself on his bed. "Man today was hard. Oh well. Maybe I'll get a bit of a break and be able to sleep in? I did pass all of my finals." Wade noted shortly before yawning.

"No. Crap. Not worth anyone's time. ....This should work, for now at least." Dubhan declared as he switched through the channels on the radio. The young man was currently driving through south-eastern Washington, and it was raining rather furiously at the moment, making it annoying to drive. As he allowed his mind to drift off along with the music, Dubhan found himself finally having a moment of peace.

Unfortunately any peace that Dubhan felt was pushed away as he looked up at the mirror, only to see the tarp that he had used to cover his luggage was flying down the highway behind him. "No!" He shouted in vain as he turned the car onto the side of the road and got out, making sure that he had turned off the car before he turned and began to run down the road to see if he could find and salvage the tarp. After running a few hundred yards and still no sign of the tarp, Dubhan realized that it was most likely gone by now and that it would be a waste of time for him to look for it in this weather. "Perfect, just perfect." He muttered angrily before turning around as he began to walk back to his truck.

"This is just one big failure isn't it...well I guess it fits along with the rest of my life now doesn't it." Dubhan mocked himself after he pulled one of his bags out of the back of the truck and placed onto into the shotgun seat right next to him in the front of the truck. Desperately the young man tried to start the vehicle, only to be rewarded with a screechy clicking noise. After another minute of unsuccessfully tring to start the truck up, Dubhan finally gave up, swearing again as he released the keys.

"I hate my life..." Dubhan said as he leaned back into his seat and closed his eyes, hoping that this storm would end soon so he could get out of the truck and check the engine. With one final sigh that signified his defeat, Dubhan adjusted himself and laid his head onto the bag in the passengers seat, closing his eyes and hoping that at least his dreams wouldn't be so annoying.

It was another beautiful and bright day and Gary was laying on the grass watching the Sky with 40 other people and his girlfriend laying beside him, hugging his arm. Some of the 'members' came up with a crazy idea that Gary was insightful and everything that he spoke had some sort of particular meaning.

"Great Gary! What shapes do you see in the clouds?" one 'Believer' asked.

Gary focused more and with a slightly disappointed face, simply said: "The clouds look... dusty..."

There was a great murmur along the entire clouds and one exclaimed:

"The Great Gary is telling us to clean up the dust from our lives! We should visit our past and tie up loose ends! All hail Great Gary!"

Gary's girlfriend smiled and hugged tighter at his arm and smiled with gleefullness.

"Your so Insightful hehe!" she squealed.

Gary smiled and continued to stare up at the sky. After it was time to get back to his courses, he got up with a steady start and stretched like a cat and walked off into the College building. The believers almosted chanted goodbye to him.

'Those guys are pretty funny, thinking that I'm some kind of Prophet. Maybe I've made their lives better by focusing on nature rather than the strain of modern technology? But we can't survive without technology, we have 'adapted' to it. If somehow we removed all technology, mankind would soon die out.' Gary thought.

Gary rarely shared his true thoughts with other people because nobody really understood him. He always had a philisophical approach to the meaning of everything. The way he acts according to the situation is to just do it and get it over with. Even he thinks that his Philisophical mentality and his 'Go with the Flow' approach is ironic in a sense. gary hurried to his lesson, startled by his own thoughts.

Monica yawned and continued scribbling across her notebook.Suddenly she stopped and started tapping her mechanical pencil against the table. She looked over at her alarm clock and saw that it was the wee hours of the morning. "Ugh." She dropped her forehead onto the desk. "I hate writer's block." Feeling to lazy to actually crawl into her bed (which was two feet away) she simply fell into a deep sleep.
