Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

"Hey, we were complimenting you," Sokka told her nervously, holding up his hands in a placating gesture, "Besides, a wedding isn't the place to do that."

"Yeah, don't remind me," said Toph. "I got in enough trouble the last time I was here." She thought of the statues she had "re-done." "I still think my work was an improvement."

Aang sighed. "They were ancient heirlooms of the Fire Nation's past, Toph."

"That's no excuse!"

Sokka couldn't help snickering. He shook his head, "I'm sorry Aang, but I have to side with Toph on that one. The statue of Avatar Roku and Fire Lord Sozin proved right a lot of historians' theories about the real reason the war was started. I always knew you seemed a little girly, Aang."

Now it was Aang who was flushing. Squaring his shoulders, he said, "Yeah? Well Katara says I'm a great kisser?"

"And by that he means lover," said Toph, snickering.

Aang jolted. "What? No, no, that's not what I meant at all!"

"You better not," Sokka told him darkly, shivering at the thought of his little sister and Aang doing that sort of stuff.

He smirked a bit, remembering something, "Aang, you've been reincarnated thousands of times. You have more experience with being a lover than anyone else in the world. There's no need to be uncomfortable. I will castrate you if you put it into practice anytime before marriage, as long as you're dating my sister anyway."

Aang shivered. He believed Sokka; he could still remember the older boy going beserk when he had accidently burnt Katara. He did not doubt for a second that Sokka would do something crazier if he and Katara went all the way.

"We're waiting anyway," he said. "So you don't have to worry about that."

"That's good," Sokka told him, losing all seriousness as he did so. He grinned when he overheard that they were serving cactus juice somewhere. He grinned at Toph.

"I'll be right back. I need a drink," he told her.

"Don't drink too much, you idiot!" she shouted after him. "You always act weird when you're on that stuff."

"I'll bring you some if you want me to!" he called back with a grin, "I started drinking when I was fifteen too and I turned out great!"

"Oh, yeah. Wanting to make friends with giant mushroom clouds, licking stuff off cave walls, singing to "circle birds"..." Toph shook her head. "That sounds just wonderful!"

"Pfft... Now you're justm kaing things up," Sokka told her as he came back with a glassful of what was (hopefully) watered-down cactus-juice.

(Oh, got a new Avatar roleplay up for a more serious experience. Wow, I sound like an advertiser. Thought I'd let everyone know.)

"Go ahead and tell yourself that. I'll probably end up having to take you to your room," said Toph, sighing.

Sokka took a sip of his glass with a shrug, "Nah. I'm good. I'll just drink a little."

He grinned happily, the juice taking effect some. He turned to her and and told her, "You're pretty when you're mad."

He drunk some more and turned his gaze towards Shizuka.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were flirting with me." She yawned and stretched her arms. "Of course, I know better. It's probably that cactus-juice talking."

"Who says it can't be both?" Sokka asked her with a shrug, "I've only drunk a little. That just means my tongue's loosened. I'm not hallucinating yet."

Shizuka stopped, panting. She beamed at the audience appluaded.

"Thank you. Now my band will be playing for anyone to dance." She bowed low to Mai and Zuko. 'And congratalation to the new married couple."

With that said Shizuka walked off. She went out into the hallway, feel to the ground and began to weep.

"Well that was interesting," Haru said. Jet nodded. He looked at Haru and smirked.

"So anyone want to dance? I'm feeling restless."

"Jet, if you want Haru to dance with you, just ask him. I'm sure he won't bite, unless you're into that sort of thing," Suki teased with a smirk.

"What? Suki will you please keep your fantasies to yourself," Jet said, frowning at her.

Haru felt his face go a little warm. He kind of wanted to dance as well. But he wasn't sure if he wanted to dance with Jet.

Zuko turned to Mai, smiling hopefully.

"Would you like to dance Mai?"

Suki laughed aloud and turned to Haru, "I'm just joking. Come on. Let's dance. Just keep your hands to yourself."

Mai smiled a little. It was still cute when Zuko was acting like his sweet, dorky self. She took his hand, "I suppose I don't hate dancing with you."

(D'aw. I don't like Maiko, but it's making me smile. .....NO this rpg will not convert me!)

Zuko lead Mai out onto the floor and using his minimum ballroom dancing experience he attempted to dance.

"I'm sorry if I step on your foot. Dancing is not my forte."

Jet nodded and stood. Haru just sat there. It seemed that he was not going to be dancing. He felt kind of happy about there.

"Don't worry. I'll be the perfect gentleman."

Shizuka stopped crying and wiped her face.

"Why am I getting so upset? It's not like he ever cared about me."

(Come to the Maiko side. We have cookies.)

Mai laughed aloud. That always came to a surprise to her, considering how graceful he was when firebending. She blushed, cursing herself as she did so. She had never gotten out of that habit, no matter how hard she tried.

"Zuko, I won't bite," she told him as she allowed him to lead her though the dance.

"I'm leading," Suki announced to Jet with an emasculating smirk.

Zuko smiled as Mai laughed. He was glad that she was in a good mood.

"I know. I just want today to be perfect for you."

Jet looked taken aback. But he nodded.

"Fine. It's not like I know how to dance anyways."

Haru exited the room and headed into the hallway. He wanted some fresh air. But he stopped when she heard someone cry.

He turned to see Shizuka slumped against a wall.

"Zuko, today, I just married you," Mai told him seriously with a small smile, "This is as perfect as it gets for me."

She kissed him lightly on the lips, blushing a little, "I am happy. I just don't show it as blatantly as Ty Lee does."

Suki smiled at Jet, "Oh. It's easy. It's like fighting. I just convert what I know from training into dancing."

"Like fighting only without fighting," Jet said. He just hoped he wouldn't make a fool of himself. "Got it."

Zuko blushed back too. He was in a good mood as well. After all he had just married Mai.

"And I am grateful for that," he said laughing a little.

"Exactly," she told him with a smirk, pulling him into a dip.

"Yes. Me too," Ma told him in amusment, shivering a little at the thought of being loud and doing cartwheels like Ty Lee.
