Succession: Heir to the Empire

Carlisle

"I suppose you are correct..." Carlisle reluctantly agreed before turning around and walking back towards the mouth of the cave. "Still, sleeping isn't going to be very fun tonight if we don't even know if there's anything else in the cave with us or not." Carlisle replied before sighing as he sat down near the fire that was being made.

Kegan

"Nah, it's fine. I should probably be apologizing to you, I was acting like a child." Kegan replied as he sat down at Rein's feet.

Susanna

Susanna took a hold of Caesar's actions and rushed towards who she perceived as the leader of the Bandits, making sure to try and slice the throat of anyone in her way. With her heart beating calm and steady, and her hands covered in blood, she killed one, then two, then three, eventually losing count.

Rhys

"Of course, Sir. She's perfectly safe and comfortable." Rhys informed Baruti, trying to ignore the others in the room.

C.C.

C.C. rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, just scream, Nebi."

Rein

"Yeah, I have to agree with that." Rein said with a teasing grin. She poked Kegan with her unhurt foot.

"Just make sure it doesn't happen again. I don't want to have to knock some sense into you." she went on, giving another kidding smile.

Maul, Tsuba

"I will keep watch, in case we have any...guests." Maul volunteered. He troded over to the far side of the cave, and began to get into a meditative state.

Caesar

Caesar continued to carve a path through the bandits, not stopping until every last one of them were dead or seriously wounded. His hands and most of his chest were stained with blood, though most of it was not his. Once the battle was over, Caesar gave a roar of triumph.

"Ah, how alive I feel! I love battle, it makes me feel so wonderful inside!"

Kegan

"I know, at least in my subconscious. That's why I didn't start acting up until I knew that you were too injured to hurt me." Kegan joked as he turned to look at Rein, his eyes covered by his hair so that Rein could only see the smirk on his face.

Carlisle

"Oh...well ok then, Maul. Be careful." Carlisle said as he watched the Kaleesh walk away, pretty sure that he was just trying to get out of earshot of him and Tsuba. "He's probably getting annoyed of my complaining...." The Doctor guessed to himself.

Susanna

Susanna ran towards Caesar, jumping over the corpses that she and the Humage had slaughtered together. "That....was amazing." She said between gasps for air. As she got close to Caesar, Susanna grabbed him and latched on before kissing him passionately.

((Hm, I have the sudden urge to have Caesar break into song, singing something from Sweeney Todd...))

Tsuba

"So...now that he's gone, shall we continue where we left off?" Tsuba asked, slowly backing Carlisle against a cave wall.

Caesar

Caesar returned the kiss vigoriously, taking great pleasure in it. He broke the kiss to break for air.

"Ah, now you see my dear! Battle is an amazing feeling, is it not? Especially killing! One of the best feelings you'll get in this world is seeing the life fade from another being, knowing you caused it. Still, I haven't had this much fun in years! I haven't felt this way since my first murder."

Rein

Rein laughed softly, poking Kegan again.

"Hey now! Just because my ankle is hurt doesn't mean I still can't kick your butt, Kegan. Don't get me angry, now. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Rein giggled, showing she wasn't very serious. She leaned down to kiss Kegan on the forehead.

(I must admit that I do love musicals. That would very bizarre for Brighe, Rhys, Clara, Evelyn, and Baruti who are watching their sick display though.)

Susanna

"I agree. This moment, these feelings... they're spectacular." Susanna agreed as she put the bloody knife she had been holding back into the sheath in Caesar's belt. "You know, Caesar, you are the reason I learned these things. How to enjoy killing and whatnot." She informed the Humage, her voice holding an odd kind of thankful awe in it's tone.

Brighe/Clara/Rhys

Rhys tried to ignore Caesar and Susanna's actions as they slaughtered the Bandits, but the Guard couldn't help but notice how unhinged Susanna seemed. "My, if C.C. or Katie knew what was going on they would be weeping, most likely." He thought, disappointedly.


"Wow, those two are...-" Brighe started to say before being cut off by Clara, "Extremely entertaining?" The future Grand Duchess(or so she hoped) asked with a smirk on her face.

"Disgusting." Brighe corrected.

Kegan

Kegan angled his face as Rein leaned over him, kissing her on the lips instead. "You know, if you're up to it, I know something fun we could do." He stated suggestively.

Carlisle

Carlisle glanced towards the direction Maul had gone in, making sure that the Kaleesh wasn't not eavesdropping on them. "A-are you sure, Tsuba? I mean, we haven't even... known each other that long... Are you sure that you want to do this, with me of all people?" Carlisle asked awkwardly as Tsuba leaned over him.

((As do I! I especially love the 1982 play version of Sweeney Todd. True, but at the same time I think it'd double as a CMoF. To bad I'm not all that good at making rhymes.))

Rein

Rein blushed at Kegan kissing her on the lips, and blushed harder at his suggestion.

"Well, um....s-sure. Just ah, please be...gentle. I do have a hurt ankle, after all."

Caesar

"I'm glad you've learned to enjoy it, Susanna. I must say, I do love this new side to you!" Caesar declared. He kissed her again.

Tsuba

"Oh, of course." Tsuba assured, leaning over to kiss Carlisle on the lips. "You've proved me wrong on a number of things, Carlisle, and you've helped me realize some things. That I could be a better person if I tried, for one thing. I like you. Besides, I really do need to repay you for all of your help..."

Tsuba broke off to kiss Carlisle again.

(Aye, I'm not very good at making rhymes as well. I'm more of a critic or editor when it comes to that sort of thing. And I do agree that if Caesar did burst into song it would probably be one of the most hilarious moments in the entire story, and the reactions of the others would probably be hilarious as well.)

Susanna

"Well Caesar I'm glad that you've learned to appreciate it."

Carlisle kissed Tsuba back, pulling back slowly before he whispered to Tsuba, "You know I do not want you to think you have to do this to pay me back or something. But if you are doing this because you're pretty sure we can work, and that you're as eager to do this as I am, then that's great." Carlisle informed Tsuba quickly, kissing her right afterward.

"Don't worry, I am going to be gentle. And besides, it's not like anything is going to happen to your ankle anyways." He reassured her.

Brighe

"Teenagers...such hormone driven messes even in the face of such adversity and dire circumstance." Brighe declared in disgust before quickly walking away from the pool, not wanting to watch her Nephew lose his virginity.

(Well then, I do believe that we can fade away from Kegan and Rein for now.)

((Indeed. A moment like that shall definitely be included in the book version of this RP. And the movie, too. Though I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself on that part. And I agree with that. Tsuba and Carlisle too, I think.))

Caesar

"Indeed! Come, Susanna, dance with me! I think it would rather wonderful to do that right now. Not to mention I'd enjoy creepy out whoever is spying on us in the observatory."

Syrien

"Greetings, Lady Brighe." Syrien said, appearing beside her as she walked away. "I was away on business in the capital. Have I missed much?"

(Aye, you are right.)

Susanna

Susanna looked up towards the mountain, sticking her tongue out childishly just in case they could see her before she grabbed Caesar's hands and looked back at him. "I would love to."

Brighe

"You have missed quite a few things, actually." Brighe informed Syrien as she continued to walk away from the room. "It would seem that the Humage has finally driven his companion to insanity, the Captain of the Guard from the capital has returned, and most of the Heirs are being driven by their hormones enough where they're literally just having sex instead of resting for the final day of the challenge tomorrow. My Nephew and your Daughter are one of those pairs, Syrien."

Syrien

Syrien stopped short after hearing the last part of Brighe's sentence. "Please tell me you are making a horrible joke."

Caesar

"Wonderful!" Caesar exclaimed before leading Susanna in a type of waltz, though he made sure to avoid stepping on the bodies.

Brighe

"Syrien, I wish that I was, but no. They certainly are." Brighe said as she picked up her pace, wanting to just quickly get to her room so she could down one of the many bottles of liquor that she had brought with her for such an occasion as this.

Susanna followed Caesar's lead, though unlike the Humage, she did not hesitate to step on the bodies if they happened to be lying there.

Katie

Katie lied down on the seat of the carriage, listening and feeling every bump and turn as she tried to guess who had kidnapped her, and of course, where they were taking her as well. Unfortunately no one had come to greet her, despite all of her shouting, all she had been rewarded with was a sore throat. She hadn't even eaten in the past twenty-four hours, not once. "Why do I have to be such a helpless human being. I mean seriously, whenever I'm alone, someone tries to harm me, or they take me. It's getting pathetic." Katie whined as she rolled over, her stomach growling loudly.

Syrien

Syrien remained completely still for a few seconds before following her. "Lady Brighe, I do believe I am going to get myself horribly drunk. Would you care to join me?"

Brighe

"Actually, Syrien, I was headed to my room so I could accomplish that exact thing. Would you care to join me?" She asked, too upset and worried to even be smug or coy at this point.

(Well, I am going to go to bed now. G'night.)

Syrien

"Of course." Syrien replied. This had been a long and hard day, and what Rein was doing right now certainly wasn't helping his mood. Right now he wanted nothing more than to get wasted, and drowning his sorrows and problems away for the night.

((Good night.))

Brighe

"Great, follow me then." Brighe replied, though she was pretty sure that Syrien already knew where her room was anyways. After Syrien's acceptance of her invitation, Brighe quickly turned around and started walking back towards her room, this time moving even faster so that she was practically running.

Within a few minutes, Brighe and Syrien were in the room Baruti had given to her, and Brighe was already rummaging through her cabinet. "So, I don't actually have any wine, don't really care for that stuff. I do have some wonderful Dwarven beer though."

Syrien

"At this point, I'm willing to try anything. Even Orc wine, which has the nastiest taste. Or so I've been told." Syrien replied. Normally he wasn't the type of person to get drunk, but tonight he'd make an exception. Especially with what he had gone through, and what Rein was doing right now...

"So, what is the plan when our charges arrive here tomorrow?"

Brighe

Brighe chuckled as she heard Syrien talk. "Well, if we don't have too strong of a hangover by then, which I very well might. Well we'll give them a strong talking to, terrify them as best as we can, and then....well it's your choice or not whether or not my Nephew is going to have the ability to reproduce when all is said and done." Brighe said as she passed a bottle to Syrien.

Syrien

Syrien eagerly took a big gulp from the bottle. "I see. That sounds acceptable. I think in the end I will let Kegan keep his ability to reproduce. Rein would not be very happy with me, after all, if I were to disfigure her future husband."

The Elf stopped to take another sip of the bottle. "You know, this will be the first time I've been drunk in twenty years."

Brighe

"Ah, well, if that's how you feel." Brighe replied before backing out of the cabinet, two bottles in hand.

"Really, twenty whole years? Well then, to forgetting horrible actions by the young and stupid!" Brighe toasted before taking the cork out of the bottle, gulping down the alcohol quickly.

Syrien

"Agreed! To forgetting the foolish and moronic actions of our charges! And may the gods help us all, as the next generation comes to rule this Empire." Syrien said, taking another large gulp from the bottle. The Elf gave a slight hiccup.

Brighe

"Wow, are you going to get drunk that quickly, Syrien? I had no idea you were such a light-weight, no wonder you haven't gone drinking in so many years." Brighe teased as she leaned against the cabinet. "Then again, after watching the potential seven rulers we have waiting for us, it's probably better that you don't need much to drink before getting drunk." Brighe pointed out before taking another swig out of her bottle.

Syrien

"Indeed." Syrien said with somewhat of a slur. He took another sip of the substance. "We have two foolish idealistics, a spineless doctor, an insane and murderous Humage, a ruthless and vicious female human, an actual Order member, and that Amazon girl who we both know will screw things up, and is somewhat weak. Gods help us all."

He took another drink. This definitely wasn't good for his health, being a man of his age, but screw it all. For once Syrien wanted to act somewhat normal and put his troubles behind him.

Brighe

Brighe laughed heartily, the foul liquid finally starting to take effect on her. "True, I do not envy Baruti with the decision he has to make." She said before pulling the bottle to her lips, drinking almost a fifth of the bottle in one gulp. "Then again, the Steward himself isn't exactly a sane man, from what I've seen."

Syrien

"Oh, I can tell you from personal experience that Baruti that Baruti is not the poster boy for sanity. I can tell you all sorts of stories about his struggies with sanity." Syrien said with a chuckle. He tipped his head back and downed the right of the bottle in his hands.

Baruti eyed the partaking of carnal pleasures by the Heirs impassively. Pleasure in itself was not a weakness. Indeed, it was one of the perks of power. The old man himself had partaken in several acts that might have appalled most simply because he enjoyed those said acts.

Still, the Heirs were forming attachments. Even C.C. was growing attached to the former pickpocket. Such a shame. Attachments were weaknesses. They blinded one with compassion and selfless actions that brook no benefit.

He eyed the Captain of the Guard with a frown. He'd have to punish him, he knew. He spoke, "Evelyn. Escort Captain Rhys to the holding cells. He is to take part in the next challenge and I don't want him to escape."

The Dark Elf smirked, signaling the guards as they handcuffed the man. She spoke, "Pity. He was such a good soldier."

As you wish he thought before having himself screech out, "AH!!!!!!!!! OWWW!!!!!!!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He grinned, shouting at the top of his lungs as though he was in mortal agony. It seemed he had practice.
