"Michael? Hanyer? Charlie?" Lily sked, tapping Charlie on the shoulder. "Come on guys."

Ceshlyta sighed. "I assume I should stay downstairs?" she asked, making sure that she wasn't going to get in the way. "I mean, these people were killed. They just want to get to Heaven. The killer is the guy we need to Bufferize."

"Hell no, you gotta come with us Ceshie!" She said.
"Here, take these," She tossed a bottle of holy water and the second crucifix towards Ceshie gently enough that they wouldn't brake if they were dropped.

Alan shrugged "Well i think it would be better if you stay with us,I do beleive that Lily may have some extra things you could use downstairs." He said. then yelled. "HEY!! hurry it up will you!" to those still downstairs.

(So is Lily with Ceshie, or Michael, Charlie,and Hanyer?)

While Michael's actual consciousness was hidden inside his mind with hanyer and Charlie, oddly enough his body still moved without hhis consent, doing what it thought Michael would want. And so the body's hand came up and tapped Lily's forehead, and then her eyes.

"Well hello there Lily, nice to see you are here now." Michael declared as he sat up from a chair, or at least he looked and sounded like Michael. Yet there was something different, something just a tad off. He seemed older, happier and slightly more healthy from the look of things. The room they were in seemed slightly like a small private study, and Hanyer and Charlie were nowhere to be seen.

"Welcome to he library of the Philosopher's book...and Michael's mind as well I suppose." Michael said cheerfully before scratching his ears for a second....which were oddly pointed at the tips.

Meanwhile the other Michael was still in the rather massive looking room with Hanyer and Charlie, and now Michael was beginning to feel rather sad. "You know death isn't too bad, I had a decent run...." He stated as he looked up at his friends, unaware of another part of his mind talking to Lily.

Lily squinted at him. "Michael... is that.. you?" She asked doubtfully.
"Where's Hanyer and Charlie?"

"Oh they're talking to Michael as well, but obviously in a separate area then where we are." The pointed-ear Michael informed Lily. "Right now I believe he's going through some personal grief, he's still trying to convince himself that he's fine with dying and he's trying to convince Hanyer and Charlie to reassure him about the whole thing." He said before walking past the desk.

"Michael's mind has bonded with the Philosopher's book and he has now become the book himself. Of course if he continues to be a mortal human, he'll be dead in four and a half hours." Michael's second conscious stated as he looked down at Lily, waiting to see her reaction.

Lily's eyes widened.
"Death? But, my aunt said he was fine. And, it's impossible to be in two places at once!" She shouted at him accusingly.

Michael sighed before looking back up at Lily. "Well since we're in Michael's mind then Everything you look at is Michael, or what the Philosopher's book has put into Michael's mind. The Michael that is with Charlie and Hanyer is the consciousness that is basically the old Michael. I represent the Philosopher's book half I suppose you could say, but as Michael and the Philosopher's book are now one and the same I look and act quite a bit like the original Michael." The book part of Michael explained as the smile he had been wearing left his face.

"As for the first question...Michael asked her to lie to you so the party wouldn't be wrecked, he practically begged and thus she agreed. But she did give him something to help relieve the pain, it wore off rather quickly and Michael's been dealing with it quite nicely since, don't you think?"

Alan was getting impatient. "Ok let's go, I'm sure we can handle this without Lily and Michael." He said and walked to the end of the hallway.

"Well isn't there any way to stop this?" She asked. "There must be a way to stop it."

(I AM SO SORRY! We don't have internet where I'm staying now, which is where we will be staying for a while. So I won't really get the chance to post often. I'd like to ask if it's OK to hurry things along sort of with as little Nick as possible, so I can say he left for a weekend of something so he doesn't have to be around in no internet land. I know it's a stupid request, but if I could, it would probably make things easier.)

Nick stood up by Ceshyta. "Look, Ceshie, I'm going to need to go away for a while soon. And I know how you feel, well, powerless. So, I want you to come with me. So I can teach you. I think that this power is something that you won't abuse. Once we're out of here, and we will make it out, I want to help you get the power to see your mother, and to help people." he said giving her a look of compassion. He turned his head towards Alan. "Alan! Fall back! I need to talk to Michael, and we should all get back together first!" he called before running off to find the others. Once he saw Michael he called. "Michael! I know you have the Philosopher's book! The only way to keep your mind is to get the Philosopher's stone!"

Alan stopped and turned around. "Right, ghost can wait, it's just a ghost after all." He said and started to come back. "Sheesh, I really need to start thinking again." He heard Nick yelling. "Philosopher's book, Philosopher's stone? Where have I heard that before?" he whispered and then dug unto his pocket for his book, flipped to a page and started reading.

Hanyer frowned. He was getting the feeling that Michael was not going to be ok and that worried him. Especially since he was in denial about it.

"Mike do you really want to die so soon?" Hanyer had the urge to touch his shoulder, in a reassuring gesture, but stayed where he was. Charlie was looking at a small book that was labeled, "Dangerous Summons" and was deeply engrossed in it.

"There are two ways, but I'm pretty sure you'll only enjoy the results of the more difficult one. The first option is we gather up all five books belonging to the set and perform...a rather odd ritual. It'll bring the entire set together which would have enough power to keep Michael alive most likely...but then it would probably destroy his soul in the process and make him nothing more then a filing system. The bright side is it would be easy to find all the books as every single one of them is owned by one of your friends." The Philosopher's book informed Lily as he sat back on his desk.

"The second option would be to find the Philosopher's stone, of we course I don't know where it is. But if you did that then it could help power Michael's body to keep him alive and he would live forever without losing his soul." He added carefully. "But you should remember that you're going to have to convince Michael that he should actually save himself before you start looking for the stone." Michael said before licking his lips and looking up carefully.

"Looks like we're out of time for now, good luck. Don't lie to him about this because he's going to remember this conversation after you're gone, which is now." He said before the room simple disappeared into an odd mist.

"Of course I don't want to die, but it's sort of an all or nothing thing Hanyer. And I don't want to go on forever, not witho-well I just can't ok." Michael stated stubbornly. The troubled boy bit his lip shut and closed his eyes for a second as he realized Nick was outside of his body, yelling to him. Michael sighed in annoyance as he opened his eyes and looked back at Hanyer.

"I am sorry though...." He apologized before the ceiling above him began to melt into what appeared to be a colorful dust that floated in the air. This odd illusion continued as the library around Hanyer and Charlie disappeared.

The odd look that Michael had been wearing left his face as his consciousness regained control of his body. He knew the same had worked for Charlie, Hanyer, and Lily as well. The overheating boy gritted his teeth in frustration as he suddenly remembered the conversation the Philosopher's bok had had with Lily, but instead of talking to her he just look straight at Nick and said.

"I know that the stone could quote, save me, unquote. But I have no idea where it might be and I'm guessing you don't either Nick." Michael said in an almost apologetic tone.

Hanyer wanted to question Michael further, but he didn't say anything. Charlie was a little upset that she wasn't able to finish the book she was reading, but once she saw that everyone looked mostly upset, Charlie felt somewhat guilty for only caring about herself.

"So what are we going to do," she asked.

Lily was beginning to tear up a little bit, but not very noticeable.
"Why didn't you tell us? We could have helped you earlier! We could have started looking!" She yelled at him.

Michael looked at Nick before nodding as he put the discussion between them on hold.
"I didn't want to give myself or anyone here false hope...It would have been easier if everyone just enjoyed themselves and then when I went home later you could all just think I died in my sleep or something." The student admitted as he turned around and looked at Lily before looking down, reminding himself that he shouldn't get emotional. "I also didn't actually trust Nick with the information...but that wasn't as big an issue." He quickly added with a glance towards the made behind him while he awkwardly fidgeted around with his hands.

Nick gave Michael a smile. "None taken about not trusting me. In fact, one of these days I might need to murder you. Nothing personal. Plus, I respect you enough to give you a fighting chance and not kill you in your sleep." he said. But then he came a little closer and his smile took the form of a grin. "And on the note of that second remark, I know quite well where the philosopher's stone is. Though that isn't it's original name. But I'll warn you, it won't be too easy to aquire. Especially since your book doesn't really want you to." Nick pointed out still smiling. Even though it was a cruel truth he should tread lightly about. "See the books and gems were made for each other, and the Philosopher's book, well, it's never liked it's counterpart, in fact it's pretty much the only book in exhistance to have emotions at all. Not that that's surprising. But anyways, it likes eating minds, by offering knowledge as bait. And the only thing that can protect you from that is the stone. Which is currently in the hand of the book's previous owner. The trick is to get it from him, and the problem with that, is that like almost anybody else who has been captured by the book, is that he's well..." Nick stopped explaining and tried to think of a way to put the news lightly. "Insane." he finished, choosing the word carefully. "And for any of you who aren't Michael, you probably want an explanation." he said.

"The book gave me one." Lily said, bitterly remembering the discussion.
"Michael, I bet the book will try to stop you, one of us should stay home with you while the others get the stone. I can stay, we can comunicate over the phone and this way the operation should go more smoothly... I hope." She said, she wasn't sure if she was right, but she was trying to be as helpful as possible.

"No I'll stay," Hanyer told Lily. "I'm the most useless one here. I may as well make myself useful and stay with Michael. Besides I think it'll be better if a guy stays with Michael. No offense to you of course."

Charlie frowned. If Hanyer was going to stay with Michael, she would have to hang out with someone else. But she was willing to do it for Michael.

"Yeah Hanyer can help him out."
