Appearance: Light, untreated blond hair. Dull blue eyes that light up only when he's interested in something. Normal, male build, above average upper body strength.

History (4 or sentences): Foliage was born and raised in the Capitol. He has never disliked the wacky fashions that surround him, but he hasn't been inclined to apply them to himself, either. Foliage's mother was living in the Capitol while the second rebellion was raging through Panem, and was sheltered from any action by her parents. But nothing could stop her from witnessing the horrors that went on. Even though her parent's goal was to leave her in the dark about the rebellion, she gained a powerful demeanor that made her want to be the top dog on anything that was going on. Instead of hating the Districts leading the rebellion, her anger was aimed toward the Capitol for their poor treatment of the Districts, including the Hunger Games itself. After growing up and finding a husband, (A Capitol-ite at heart who used to follow all the latest trends, but lightened up on the makeup after marrying her), they decided to have a son. His mother's aggressive parenting and his father's passive behavior shaped Foliage into what he is today.

His mother tried to reflect her hate for the cause of the second rebellion into Foliage from a young age, but the only thing he found fascinating was the history of what went on. He inherited his father's lack-of-drive and found himself being directed by his mother to try things until he stuck with something, (which hasn't really happened yet). He felt like a failure to his mother's expectations until he decided to try looking into the history of Panem once more. He. Was. Hooked. He couldn't get enough and crammed every bit of knowledge he could into his head. Despite this, his mother was still unsatisfied with where his passion came from and continued to make him try different things. He has been inserted into the Capitol versions of soccer, baseball, football, basketball, racquetball, swimming, and even a game only found in the Capitol, coerce. He has also tried chess, pottery-making, computer programming, sewing, and the art of applying Capitol-style makeup. Yet, Foliage has a passion only for history.

Oddly, his role model in life has been Peeta Mellark. After reading about him while immersing himself in Panem's history, Foliage was impressed on his affect on other people. The way Peeta touched the hearts of an entire nation of people just by saying the right things is amazing to Foliage and has never been one of his strong points. He has always wanted to meet Peeta and hear about his experiences, and, hopefully, gain even more inside information on what went on while he was alive during the second Rebellion. You could say it is the closest thing he has to a second "passion". He is envious of a person he has heard of named Arthur Crawford, and his closeness with Peeta and his family.

Personality: Slightly reserved, but still very nice. He isn't used to making decisions for himself, but he tries to have a strong demeanor. Unsuccessfully. Not exactly timid, but reluctant to go into anything new. Loving toward his parents but exhausted at trying to please his mother. Tries to take a logical look at things before speaking, sometimes leaving him to pause for long periods of time when trying to decide something.

Skills: Only ones that he has gained from dabbling in sports, like jousting, archery, wrestling, et cetera. A complete list of things he is mediocre doing: Swinging objects, hitting with objects, aiming and shooting with bow and arrow, anything with weapons. Huge knowledge about history.

Personality: Hostile, quiet, and rebellious

Appearance: Long, soft, yellow hair that curves and goes to ankles, and is put tastefully together at the end.

History (4 or + sentences): Has grown up in the Capitol and trained with her father from when she was five to seventeen years old. She does not know who her mother is, since her mother sepererated from her when she was three. She has lived a very Capitol life but does not follow the wacky fashions of the Capitol. She acts kind of like Katniss Everdeen, her role model, and tries to mimick her strategies.

Skills: Swords, bows and arrows, climbing high distances and running long distances.

Other: Has a soft spot for a boy named Foliage.

Personality: She is strong-willed, creative, bubbly, graceful, adventurous, and passionate.

Appearance:Thaelia is pretty short but elegant. She is only about 5 feet tall which gives her an advantage in speed and quickness in movement. She is very fit for her small stature. She is sort of pale, with healthy skin. She has long tousled brown hair with side bangs in which she wears a brown headband in. She has bright emerald green eyes that match a ring Regis gave her when they first met. Her style of clothing is more of the fantasy type than modern. She wears "pixie" looking brown boots with knee highs. A brown skirt and short sleeved white oxford-like shirt with a button up vest. Also, she has scars on her arms and back from her step-mother.

History (4 or + sentences): Her mother passed away giving birth to her, leaving her to be raised by her father and her two older brothers. When she was 5 years old, her father remarried a woman who abused Thaelia, not just physically, but mentally. She would tell her the horror stories about the Capitol and the Hunger Games. The murder that went on...As Thaelia grew, she learned more and more about them, and looked up to Katniss throughout her trials. She realized Katniss was strong. So Thaelia later ran away when she was 8 and was taken in by a man named Regis, who became her trainer. He taught her everything she knows and raised her well. He had also been training a little girl named Maia, whom Thaelia learned to love as a sister.

Thaelia never saw her father or her brothers or her step-mother again. She trained hard, and went to school. She learned to love a new life and enjoy it.

Skills: Sword fighting/making, martial arts, bow and arrows, she can run fast and slip through tight areas, climb well, and jump long distances across things if she has to.

Other: Thaelia always does her best and never goes halfway when given a task. That's who she is. And she will do anything to protect the ones she loves.

General Narrative

The streets of the Capitol had never been so crowded. The voices of thousands rose to the skies, to the outskirts of the city, to the screens of a frenzied Panem. It had been years since the last Hunger Games, and many had been thrilled for the loss of them. All the same, many had seen what the Capitol had done as entirely unforgivable.

So these citizens of Panem, of the Districts so worn by their former oppression, relishing in their new and foreign power, watched in near delight at the horror and fear on the Capitol citizen's colorful faces. At the same time, many gazed upon them in sympathy, in empathy, in horror themselves of the havoc they knew would be unleashed on these unsuspecting viewers.

All eyes were upon the youth of the Capitol, the new pool of children sent to die as revenge for the bitter people.

Phylicia

The woman was thrilled by the squirming, screaming crowd. The excitement and terror warmed her, and she could not wait to see how the Games would go under her command. She had so many plans for them. In the crowd, she saw each of the faces she had chosen.

The rebellious girl in the front of the crowd, with her dirty blonde, choppy locks, and defiant eyes that filled Phylicia with rage, would soon be broken. And she could not wait to see that girl's face, reduced to what she was... a hopeless child.

She ordered the cameras to pan over the crowd, looking upon the terrified, miserable parents. A smirk appeared on her bloodred lips, as she prepared for her beloved reaping.

Helena

The shouts of protest from her fellow youth was like music to the young girl's ears. Their voices were the loudest among the citizens of the Capitol, as they gathered in the center of the metropolis. They even fought with the Peacekeepers who tried to keep them quiet. They only spurred her peers on. No one would suspect a thirteen year old to have organized them.

She joined in their screaming, and fighting.

Then, a man's amplified voice pierced through all the others...

"Welcome, Capitol and District Citizens alike. You are now about to witness a great event in Panem history. Welcome, all, to the first Capitol Hunger Games."

He was trying to keep the celebratory tone that all past announcers and hosts of the former Games had maintained. But she could hear the subtle, terrified tremble within it, as he began to explain the well-known, and very unfortunate rules.

Her peers shouted obscenities. She helped a friend shove off a Peacekeeper trying to invade their tightly-knit, well-identified crowd. She wanted to keep things from getting too violent, but perhaps violence from a Peacekeeper would put the focus on them, show more people the injustice in her city, in their country now, as all were watching.

"And now, for the reaping. As you know, in honor of the 12 districts that originally participated in the Hunger Games, I will be drawing 12 males and 12 females, between the ages of 12 and 18, ((OOC: This can be edited if we need to add more Tributes.)) for the Capitol Hunger Games. Our first tribute to be chosen for the first Capitol Hunger Games is..."

Blaze

In her mind, Blaze was trying to get away. She was at home, in her family's study, reading some fantasy novel about a world that had never existed. She was sipping tea, tuning out the sounds of the city just beyond her walls. She was alone, the way she liked it, in quiet and far, far away from this terrible place.

Unfortunately, this was not the case. She spotted many of those she had spoken on teams with, laughed with, joked with, played in sports with, trained with, acted with... there were so many familiar faces in the crowd, it was painful. Any one of them could be reaped and killed.

She herself could be reaped and killed. Her parents might have been the only smiling people on the outskirts of the reaping crowd. She knew what they wanted her to do. If she was out there, they wanted her to show unshakable bravery and skill. They would want her to win, not to survive, but to live out her legacy imitating their hero.

Why she ever did what they wanted her to do, she didn't understand. But she wouldn't know what to do without them. And she knew, that if she was reaped, she would do exactly what they wanted her to. She would be the exact opposite of what her parents' hero was. She would be what was formerly known as a Career Tribute, someone practically trained for life to be reaped into the Hunger Games, so they could win and show off their District's skill.

Blaze could only hope she wouldn't be chosen.

Damir

Damir knew what he was supposed to do. It was hard to ignore the Capitol youth at the very front of the reaping crowd, but he couldn't bring himself to stop them like the rest of the Peacekeepers. He agreed that what was going on was wrong. He was inherently rebellious in his nature, and most of what he did as a Peacekeeper was just patrol the city and nearby districts. He would make sure that crimes were dealt with, so long as they didn't harm anyone, and he would try to help those who needed opportunities. He managed to avoid situations involving violence. The other Peacekeepers openly gave their opinion on his forceless behaviors, but he'd learned to ignore them. But he knew that he couldn't hide from the higher-ups very long.

He stared at the screen, wondering if his parents were watching. Perhaps they were resting, as they usually were at this hour. It caused him great pain to see them in pain, but tonight, he would be going home for the first time in a while. He wanted to be near them, in spite of the sadness and discomfort brought on by the presence of his family. But he knew he wouldn't forget.

Damir's attention was once more stolen by the Capitol youth near him. Some were silent. Others loud and defiant. He wondered what was going through their minds... He was sickened by the fact that these people had to go through this. What the government had done years ago was wrong. Doing this again now, with another group, would not bring anyone peace, or true satisfaction. It was just more pain for this nation... and he could only imagine what it could drive them all to do.

"And now, for the reaping. As you know, in honor of the 12 districts that originally participated in the Hunger Games, I will be drawing 12 males and 12 females, between the ages of 12 and 18, for the Capitol Hunger Games."

The announcing man reached his hand into the lottery of names. He felt fear and sorrow for this first person, and he didn't even yet know their name...

"...Our first tribute to be chosen for the first Capitol Hunger Games is... Damir Pax."

He stood there, frozen, not believing what he had heard.

"Come on, Damir. That's you," a fellow Peacekeeper whispered, giving a him a slight shove forward. He moved as though his entire body was made of lead, as he found his way through the crowd he had once been seperate from, and onto the stage in the center of the city.

He did not believe it, even as he looked upon the crowd, no longer a Peacekeeper, but one of them. Those in front nearly cheered, for the Peacekeepers had tried to silence them. But there he stood. The first tribute to be chosen for the Capitol Hunger Games.

Katniss

The flight from District 12 was taking too long. She felt something long-buried in her now-quiet life churning in her stomach, as she watched the screen, a crowd of people in unnatural hues characteristic of the Capitol, watching as their children were sent to die.

This was wrong. And once more, it would have to be stopped.

Rose

Rose could only hope that Arthur wouldn't be chosen. Why had he gone home to the Capitol, right as the Hunger Games were about to begin? He was still a citizen there... but it was useless to think he would be exempt simply for visiting District 12. But he did not belong there in the Capitol. He belonged with her, safe, warm, with his eyes filled with hope.

And now he was in such grave danger.

Ariadne watched as the first tribute walked upstage, and immediately felt upset for him. She had never expected this time to come. From all of her time in the library at her home,she had read about the Hunger Games. She couldn't believe anyone would do this just for greedy power. But this time, it is for vengeance. Ariadne, from reading about the hunger Games was glad that it was over and hoped it wouldn't happen again,that it would be peaceful. Apparently, she thought too soon. Now here she was, waiting to see if she would be chosen as a tribute. She hoped not. Thinking about it made her anxious. Ariadne values her life and being in the Games will shorten her likelihood of living.

The loud ruckus of the crowd slightly pushed out that thought as all the youth were rebelling against this. She kept silent. Ariadne felt there was nothing she could do, but pray that she doesn't get chosen. Ariadne looked at the others surrounding her, waiting to be chosen. It upset her that some of these familiar faces will be gone.

Dawn resisted a sneer as the first person was called up to be a tribute. First off she couldn't believe that this was going on. Dawn felt it was stupid. Just more pointless death.

The girl looked around at the other kids near her and scoffed to herself. She knew she was not going to be picked. And if she did. Well Dawn knew she could handle herself. Most of these brats were weak.

Pepper had an angry look on his face as he waited. He didn't want to be here. The Hunger Games were over all after. Still Pepper understood it. Revenge was the best way to make others feel happy and this is what it was. Districts getting revege on the Capital.

Pepper wondered if he would be choosen. Having Caesar Flickerman's nephew would be interesting and work for the Districts. But there were many kids. Who knew who was going to be picked.

Prudence or just Rue, looked at the ground. She felt like she might start crying. She didn't want this. She didn't deserve this. It was not their fault that the Capital did what it did. They had no part in it. Just like the District children weren't involved in the rebellion many years ago.

Rue sniffed and kept staring at her shoes. The adults doing this were wrong and sick. This didn't have to happen. And now children had to die again.

Oleander frowned as the first boy was called. Why was he even here? He wasn't completely Capital. There was no way that his name would be called or his mom would allow it.

But it didn't make his bad feeling go away.

Thaelia was far back in the crowd, which she was perfectly content with. It was more open and she didn't have to see the people on stage because of her height. There were many heads towering over her. She wished she didn't have to be there at all. She was holding Maia's hand along with her trainer, Regis next to her. She hated having to bring little Maia to this...but she couldn't stay home alone. Thaelia never told Maia about the Games. She wanted to keep her mind pure. But, Thaelia knew she would have to find out someday...especially if she got called up. Thaelia knew it could happen to her...and she would be ready for when that day came. Even if it would be today.

Thaelia mostly blocked out everything that was being said aloud...until the first tribute's name had been called up. She was too far back to see the reaction of the boy...

She felt sick. She felt awful for him...but she couldn't do anything about it. She just watched and waited for what would come next...

Announcer

The man forced his hand into the lottery of names once again. This time, he fished for a girl's name. He was under very strict orders... very specific ones.

"Our second tribute in the Capitol Hunger Games is Amira Senela."

Katniss

Katniss strode to the edge of the hovercraft. They would be landing soon. Their family had done all they could to stay out of the games, to prevent them, and here they were again. The reaping brought back memories of all she had been through... it had been all she could think about on the way to the Capitol. But it was no time for that sort of distraction. Regardless, they came.

They landed discreetly, almost soundlessly now. Her children stood, along with their father. The Mellarks were ushered out into this place they'd been avoiding for years. To face the dangerous present, revisit a horrifying past, and confront a treacherous future.

Amira

Amira felt horrible for the first boy who had been called up. She could only just make out the look on his face, and it was one of pain. And if Amira was seeing correctly, he was also a Peacekeeper. Shouldn't they be exempt from thins? Nobody deserved to have to go through this.

"Our second tribute in the Capitol Hunger Games is Amira Senela."

And then Liam, who had been quitely standing next to her was leading Amira up to the stage. she couldn't think, and she could only move and follow her brother.

If anyone deserved to be sent off to the Hunger Games, it was her. This was probably some sort of punishment for letting Liam die. That was the only thing that made sense. But everyone else? No. None of them deserved it. Only Amira should be sent off. It should just be her and some wild animals to finish her off.

Cinna clung to his father's side. After hearing about the Games and the Capitol, he wasn't all too happy to be here. He was even a bit scared, but he didn't want to show it. So he let go of Peeta and tried to look brave.

"Katniss I'm so glad you're here," a female voice said. Acacia appeared and hugged her friend. She smiled at the others. Then the smile faded. "They...they already called two names and...my boy is out there. You don't think they would call his name? He's only half-Capitol."

Katniss

Katniss glanced solemnly at her friend, Acacia. Whenever she saw her, she remembered Rue in such incredible detail. She wondered if she would have looked like this if she had ever made to adulthood. The simultaneous joy and sadness brought on by the woman's presence was nearly unbearable. What was worse, was this risk of tributehood for her friend's son. Her own children, District citizens, were so close to his age.

The former tribute returned the embrace of her friend.

"Yes, I've been watching from the hovercraft. I absolutely cannot believe it. I hope not," she said, after they pulled away. She glanced over at her husband and son. She knew how desperately Cinna was trying to be brave. She wished that there was nothing to be brave about. All Katniss's life she had been trying to keep her children out of the horror that was the Hunger Games. If they hadn't gone away, Cinna and Rose wouldn't even exist... even if her own children were exempt, she felt as though she had failed at protecting them.

She knew who she needed to talk to now. Another old "friend" of hers.

"I'm going to head in now," she told the others. With this, she made her way from the landing site.

Pepper started to yawn. This was getting boring.

"Our third tribute in the Capitol Hunger Games is Pepper Flickerman."

The young boy blinked in surprised and shook his head. He never expected.... But he knew he had to go up there. He was no chicken.

Still he was sweating as he walked up to the stage. In the very back of his mind he felt this would be somewhat justice for the Districts. Sending Caesar's nephew to death.

Ariadne watched as the second and then the third tribute was called. She felt utterly bad for them and hoped that she wouldn't have to face the same. Ariadne hugged herself hoping that the next twenty-one tributes won't include her. She knew however, that if she was called, there was nothing she could do. The announcer started shuffling for a raffle. Then he pulled it out. She prayed that whoever it is, it won't be her.

"Our fourth tribute of the first Capitol hunger Games is..."

Ariadne watched somewhat anxiously, but tried to remain calm. She highly valued her life and being called as a tribute would extremely lower her chance at life.

"... Ariadne Syphilis."

Ariadne was shocked when she heard her name. She choked back tears as she went up. She knew it was not like her to cry and didn't want to start it now. Ariadne went up to the podium; tears stopped forcing out. She wanted the be strong for her parents and accept the fact that she had been chosen. She joined her fellow tributes.

As the fourth tribute walked up to the stage, Zane couldn't help but keep his eyes locked on the announcer's hand as he reached for another name. He didn't want to be a coward, but Zane might as well just be shot as soon as his named was called, because there was no way he could come out of the Hunger Games alive.

But all that needed to happen was for him to not be called up, because by the time the Hunger Games would come up again in a year, he would be nineteen and too old for them. It was horrible, yes, but Zane really didn't want to die.

The announcer's hand drew a slip of paper. Eyes quickly scanned it, and then:

Our fifth tribute is Zane [hasalastname].

His eyes closed, a silent curse forming on his lips. He dragged his feet forward, trying not to pause or look too terrified. But as Zane's feet hit the stage, he was pretty sure that he was going to have a full blown panic attack. All of the citizens of the Capitol were staring up at him, pity in their eyes. He couldn't take it, couldn't look at the crowd, couldn't look at his fellow tributes.

Fellow tributes....

He was one of them so quickly. Just a tribute. Just a kid sent off to die. Another face for people to place bids on. Another enemy.

President Hawthorne sat up in a hovercraft that lingered approximately 200 feet above the square in the Capitol. His eyes were almost dead with indifference as he heard the first few names called for tributes. He moved the wine glass in his hand, swirling the dark maroon liquid into a lilliputian maelstrom of all his fears regarding this event. They had forced him to stay in the air for his own safety and he didn't protest. He would not be able to stand for seeing either of their faces. Or the faces of their children.

He watched on the monitor in front of him as the children lined up one by one. Each of their faces expressed a unique level of terror at their predicament. Somewhere under the stupor of the wine, a voice in his head whispered, They're only kids, Gale. Children. You're a monster. He shook his head and continued to watch as the next name was called with some sick sort of satisfaction that caused his lips to curl into a slight smirk.

Starlight stood patiently next to her brother, Apollo, who had brought her to the reaping. Both of them were dressed traditionally, as the children would often be back when the Hunger Games were an annual occurrence. Starlight's stomach was cramping from the nerves and she folded her arms across her abdomen to regain some sense of security and keep herself from vomiting. Apollo kept an arm around her shoulder, his expression stony as he watched a boy walk across stage, hiding whatever fear he had about becoming a tribute. Star's face remained calm, but her body was a raging mess. The thin sheen of sweat on her forehead betrayed her.

The announcer drew yet another slip of paper. He looked up into the crowd and proclaimed:

Our sixth tribute is Starlight Arjuna.

Starlight's eyes widened, but then her face became a mask of cool. Her brother hugged her, a final good-bye perhaps. At first, her legs would not move. She swallowed hard and forced herself to walk up toward the stage, her knuckles white from violently gripping the skirt of her dress. She joined the others, looking all of them in the eyes before taking her place next to Zane.

Clarisse Ulric stood completely alone in the crowd. Her parents were so sure that she would not be called that they didn't worry enough to come along with her. She couldn't care less. She was confident that her name would not be called. She stood with one hip flared, her pale skin visible through the rips in her cargo pants.

Shoving her hands into her pockets, she watched as the last girl called passed by her. The gossamer fabric of her gown flowed gracefully behind her and made it look as the girl had expected this moment all along. That she knew she would be put the test of killing her peers and that this might be the last time she ever saw her peers. And that's when it hit Clarisse that she had never been a lucky person. Why wouldn't she be selected as a tribute? Her steely eyes sank to the ground as she realized she was just like those other kids.

Oleander knew that a boy would be called up next. He was worried, sweating a lot. There could be no way for him to be called up. To be a tribute. He was half-District. He wouldn't--couldn't--be sent to die, right?

Our next Capitol tribute is Oleander Eldeweiss!

He heard a cry from somewhere and he knew it was his mother. Oleander wanted to cry. He wanted to protest that this was wrong. Unfair. But he could only bring himself to walk up to the stage in shock. He wondered if he was crying.

Clarisse held her breath as the newest male tribute made his way across the stage. He looked like he was about to cry. He was just a kid. She looked up at the hovercraft floating above the square. You coward. You can't even face them while you sentence them to death, she thought bitterly. It had completely distracted her from the fact that a girl would be called next. She didn't realize until:

...Clarisse Ulric!

Her heart seemed to stop for a second. Why her? Why any of them? Her face became even pallid, pale as death itself. Before she knew it, she was on the stage, joining her fellow inmates. That was what this was. Prison. Death row.

Katniss felt something snap within her as she heard the sound of her friend's voice at the calling of her son's name. She knew she should run back to her, do something to try and comfort the woman, like the many other devastated parents and families beside her, but rather, she continued through the crowd. She hoped that the person she intended to have a conversation with was paying attention to the faces displayed on the screen, the fear and pain etched onto each of them, how much he was torturing them, and their entire country all over again. She fixed her grey eyes on where she knew the cameras were, wishing she could pierce right through them and straight into the president who made all of this possible.

The boy who once kept his critcisms between himself and her, who had once been a part of her solace in a much quieter, desperate life, that felt two lifetimes ago, had become something unrecognizable. And now he became someone who needed to be stopped, like all those who had made the wrong decision to begin these Games so long ago.

To see Tributes again made the woman's heart shatter, and re-ignited the soul of the former Mockingjay. It was time to make those changes again. And she was determined to stop them before they went too far, as long as innocent lives were at stake.

Blaze saw her parents nearly faint when they spotted the woman in the crowd. They were likely the most excited of anyone there, especially in contrast with the rest of the normal people around them, feeling the correct fear, injustice, sorrow, and grief that came with the Hunger Games. But instead, they were filled with excitement, urging their daughter to approach the woman who would not want anything to do with her.

It was easy to tell who she was, the very important woman, with her obvious, but faded, scars, and long, still-dark braid. Her simple clothing, which made her stand out rather than blend in at the flashy Capitol. She was the person who had inspired her parents to do the majority of the things that they did, even if it was completely misguided. It was unfair to blame here. But she couldn't help the feelings that arose at her presence.

"Our next tribute is Arthur Crawford."

Yet another sent off harshly to this war in a man-made arena. How could this be happening again? And some of those who were called seemed just too supsicious... a Peacekeeper, Caesar Flickerman's nephew, a deceased and beloved tribute's nephew, and a close friend of the faces of the former rebellion.

Gale felt himself chuckle a bit at the girl who fought the Peacekeepers so violently. A little spitfire. That was something new. It was nice to see that the Capitol had at least some bite to offer for the viewers in the Districts. Those who remembered the pain of the reapings were reveling now in the adrenaline rush of vengeance. The Sins of the Father. "There's no use fighting, Helena," he muttered, condescendingly, "Panem et circenses."

He inhaled the scent of his wine deeply, letting it cloud his mind just enough to numb his conscience. This wasn't the time for scruples. These weren't just kids. They were Capitol kids. Kids whose parents sat and watched while his peers died in combat, forced into killing one another for fame, fortune and food. He took another swig and sat back patiently for more names. He wondered how each one would handle what Phylicia had in store for them. "Unlike any Quarter Quell..." he murmured into his glass, "Yes. That's what they deserve."

He could see her now, when the cameras swept from left to right. The face he'd forced to elude his thoughts all day. And there she was with her children. Watching as he tormented her peers and their children. Watching as he ripped apart their families, their li_... No. No sympathy for the wicked. This was a just act. A last attempt at closure for the Districts.

Starlight's eyes went wide as she saw the woman in the crowd. She had read so much about her. That's Katniss Everdeen... she thought, awed by her presence. She was curious as to what the Mockingjay thought of all this. It's not fair, is it? Her eyes then wandered to her brother. She was his whole world and she'd been torn away from him. She might not ever see him again. At that moment she cursed her mother and long-gone father for ever having had her. Ever having put this burden on him. And she cursed Hawthorne, as well.

She was tracking who was being chosen for these Games. And it crossed her mind that the drawing might have been rigged... The surnames were a bit familiar. Flickerman... Crawford is standing with the Mellarks... That girl was protesting... Why the rest of us? she thought.

Arthur

In behind the rioting young rebels stood Arthur Crawford. Unlike the other tributes he'd seen go up, Arthur was completely calm about his selection. He knew it was coming. The Government wouldn't miss a chance to dispose of him. But the choice of tributes thus far did intrigue him. The half Capitol, and Peacekeeper to demonstrate that no Capitol was safe from the people's revenge. He thought that was a nice touch. Not to mention Ceaser's nephew, and himself, kin of President Snow, two tributes linked to the old Capitol. He was sure that each tribute held some kind of significance, and he was anxious to find out what. Oh Phylicia, what do you have planned? He thought, smirking almost, at the game about to be played.

Or perhaps the game had already begun. No, it had most definitely begun. Katniss' words echoed in his ears. "The Games extend far beyond the reach of the arena. Don't forget that. The game is always on, never forget to watch your back." Though Katniss had played a little more of a minor role in his training, Arthur knew not to disregard her words. After all, she was a two time survivor.

Arthur began to move towards the stage, pushing his way through the rowdy rioters in front, calmly and surely. He looked around at the crowd wondering who was next.

If the game is started, then the pieces are already picked... So who else could she send into the arena. Arthur thought as he observed. His gaze steadied on a young girl right by the stage, screaming wildly. The other rioters were certainly spirited in their protest, but none of them had the air of defiance she did.

She's going to be picked. Arthur decided as he broke his gaze with her, and arrived at the stairs to the stage.

As he ascended the stairs, Arthur observed his fellow tributes. Frightened, distraught, staring death in the face, in the form of justified vengeance. He watched them all stare out at the crowd, having their private thoughts, not realizing that they are all just pawns in a sick and twisted game of politics. Arthur's blood began to boil, but it didn't show. He had been in front of a crowd before, and he had two wonderful teachers on how to feign confidence to a crowd. Arthur passed each of the tributes, observing them closely before taking his place at the end of the line. And as he passed each tribute he silently promised each of them. I won't let you die.

Peeta

Peeta had been with Mrs. Elderweiss when her son's name was called, and she let out her scream. Quickly he came to comfort her.

"Acacia, I'm so sorry." Peeta said, attempting to console the grieving mother, and thinking of the day he had been reaped, the painful memories flooding back. Standing on that stage, feeling so alone. Feeling so scared, and confused. He could only imagine that Oleander was feeling the same way.

But as invested in Acacia's suffering as he was, Peeta still couldn't stop thinking about how Katniss was going to see him on her own. Peeta didn't like that at all, especially considering their past. But he had to trust her right now, just as she trusted him to care for her grief stricken friend.

Peeta put his arms around Acacia defensively, as if trying to protect her from the stares of the crowd. Another female tribute was announced followed by Arthur. Peeta watched his protege stroll calmly and confidently on stage, just as Peeta had taught him. It was odd, but Peeta was almost proud of his apprentice, watching him take his place on the line of tributes. Arthur was an important piece in the plan to end these games for good. He was their man on the inside, and Peeta, Katniss, and the other people working to end the games would need him to change the game inside the arena. But right now, all Peeta wanted out of Arthur was for him to protect the tributes, and their families', like Acatia, and Oleander, from the pain that Peeta, and his family had to suffer through. Peeta was the only one who suffered now though.

These games were wrong. The burden of the vendetta of the people shouldn't have to be placed on the shoulders of these kids. And he would do everything in his power to end these games swiftly, and with no casualties.

Amira

Amira wasn't looking at the rest of the tributes, or even the crowd; she was staring at Liam. To anyone else, it would appear as if she was focusing on nothing, but Amira was trying to figure out what Liam was trying to say to her. His expression was a mixture of sadness and something like relief. She was trying to puzzle out the meaning of it, since Liam never said anything to her. Then again, if she was Liam, she wouldn't ever talk to her again. Why would you talk to the person who let you die?

Zane

Zane looked down the row of tributes. He thought it was odd that so many known faces were reaped, but he didn't really think anything of it. Some of the people chosen seemed to be pretty... average for lack of a better word.

As he looked out at the crowd, he barely caught a glimpse of Katniss Everdeen... er... Mellark. So many people remembered her as Katniss Everdeen, even though she had married Peeta Mellark.

Zane wondered if the reapings were like this back when Katniss was in the Games. Or was the Capitol in so much power that everything was super subdued? He should have studied that a little more in school....

As each new name was called, a cannon sound went off in his head. Because only one would make it out alive. He knew that he would be hearing a lot of cannons in just a short while, but hearing them in his head wasn't going to make it any easier when he was going to be hearing them in real life. Assuming he didn't die first.

Acacia was trying not to cry as she held onto Peeta, letting him comfort him. But she felt that she could never be comforted. Not ever again.

"First they take my sister and now they take my son," Acacia said, half angry, half sad. She wanted to scream again, but instead she pulled away from Peeta, not looking at the stage. "Do you think she can do something? I....Whenever I watched the Games she was so strong." Acacia sighed deeply, trying hard to keep back the tears.

Cinna looked at Acacia and hugged her leg. "It's okay. Please don't be sad. Mom says we have to be brave."

Acacia started to cry at that point.

Dawn was getting impatient with all the names being called, but when she noticed Katniss her eyes went wide. What was she doing here? Was she here to stop the Games?

But Dawn was brought out of her thoughts as her name was called. Dawn frowned, her mouth twitching a little as if she might attempt a smile. But she needed to look like a shy little girl. Catch her fellow tributes off guard.
