Dawn of a New Prince (Star Wars/Avatar Crossover)

Sokka finished and, noting her tears, frowned and muttered, "Sorry. Your arm should be fine in a couple of weeks, I think."

He smiled a little and gripped her hand, "We got to take another vacation after this. And not to the library this time. Too many giant owls.."

"It's my turn to choose a vacation anyway, isn't it?" she said, offering him a brave smile. She hated worrying him. Toph let go of his hand to run her fingers, lightly, along her bandaged arm. "Thanks, Sokka. That helps. Really, it does."

Helios

"Go find Zahanna and Ty Lee, and lead them here," Helios said. "I'll have Dai Li agent wait here for you, and he'll take you to our base of operations. I need to inform my master of your arrival." He then leaned forward and kissed her for a few moments before pulling away. Without another word, he began to walk away.

"Well, better you than Aang or Katara," Sokka noted before smiling at her praise, "No problem. I'd fight through 100 more Dai Li to help you."

Toph blushed. "I wonder what that says for your intelligence," she said, smiling fondly. She dragged in a deep breath of air. "Okay, then. I guess we should dress up. Even these guys are bound to figure out we're not where were supposed to be soon."

Mai

Mai stood still as Zuko walked away, surprised that he had been so forward. But she was glad that he had been, she realized as her mouth curved into a satisfied smile. After a minute of standing still, Mai suddenly bolted out of the Alley way as she headed back towards the apartment.

Anwar

"Ok, well we only have two tables to replace, and no one got hurt thank the Spirits..." Anwar informed Iroh as he swept the last broken vase into the corner where all the other destroyed things had been placed.

Azula

Azula groaned as she slowly woke. She wasn't sure why she was in such a trashy area when suddenly she remembered Mai. "Ty?" Azula asked, expecting the circus girl to be close. After a few seconds of silence, a pang of fear went through Azula's body as she began to realize what might have happened. "Ty lee! Come here now!" Azula shouted as she stood up.

"What does that say about you and the others? I'm the idea guy, you know," he told her with a laugh before nodding at what she said. He looked around and took out a set of Dai Li robes from the laundry basket and gestured her to sit on his shoulders.

It took Toph a moment to realize what he was doing. "Oh, right." She sighed. "Just tell me next time. It takes forever for me to get it when you move your hands like that." She was just lucky he was unusually expressive. "You sure this will work?" she asked, struggling to pull herself up onto his back.

Sokka shrugged a bit as he set her up onto his shoulders before pulling the robs down over them. He said, "I'm not sure, but it's the best chance we got. He frowned, remembering Toph's blindness. He poked a couple of small eyeholes through the robes so he could see.

"The others are going to owe us big for this," he muttered, "Got the hat on?"

Toph pushed the heat onto her head. It swallowed her face whole, but she supposed that was a good thing. Her eyes would give them away, if nothing else did. "Yeah, I got it," she said.

She shifted a little on his shoulders. Rock peeled from the wall and formed stone hands, much like the Dai Li's gloves. They slipped up the sleeves and made for a more effective disguise.

Sokka grinned and told her with a gulp, "Okay. I'm going to start walking now."

With that said, he began to walk towards the door. It was lucky for him that Toph was light, though the stone hands were a bit heavy. Still, he wasn't wobbling and that was always a good sign.

Toph balanced herself fairly well on Sokka's shoulders. It helped that he moved well and without stumbling or knocking her off balance. She wished she could do more to help him in this. She could only move the stone gloves, and then only just barely. She was depending entirely on Sokka.

But if it was one thing she knew, it was that she trusted Sokka with her life.

Fi

"It was an accident. Anyone could have made that mistake. People make mistakes all the time. I made a mistake like that, once." Fi admitted.

Long Feng

"I will make sure to be prepared if that ever happens. But I'd like to focus on this moment, for now." Long Feng replied.

"Tell me, have you heard what happened to that blind girl you travel with?"

Zahanna

"I'm...not from around here." Zahanna answered. She saw their apartment up ahead.

"I'll explain more once we're inside."

Sokka smiled as he exited the room, looking around quickly through his eyeholes before heading down through a random corridor. It wasn't like he knew where the others were so he decided to trust in his and Toph's luck. They were due a good turn soon, anyway.

(Who should Sokka and Toph find first?)

OOC: Definitely not Katara, since she is still talking to Long Feng. I'm not sure about the others.

Lilith

"It was a mistake that killed my Father, Fi." Lilith pointed out as cradled her legs up against her chest. The girl sulked in silence for almost half a minute before she asked, "What was it that you did? I mean, if you're comfortable with telling me of course...."

Helios

Helios quickly walked down the halls of their base, making his way to where he sensed Vader. He entered the room and sank to his knee anad bowed his room. "Lord Vader, I have discovered the presence of a bounty hunter who claims to be after the Jedi we captured."

Iroh

"That is some good knews," Iroh agreed. "Anwar, I must thank you for defending me."

(Hmm... That means Aang, Mara Jade, or the Jedi.)

Anwar

"Think nothing of it. He attacked you, I stopped him. It's what friends do...." Anwar replied, not even realizing that he had referred to Iroh as friend.

Mai

Mai quickly walked through the streets, making her way towards a drain pipe so she could climb her way up on top of one of the roofs. It took her almost twenty minutes of running and leaping to get to the apartment, and she would be lying if she said she wasn't a bit tired as she returned to the Apartment.

Mai quickly walked into through the front door, though she didn't say anything, knowing that Zahanna would easily just hear her.

OOC: Might as well try the Jedi, since it's coming up that he may be handed over to the bounty hunter.

Darth Vader

"Oh? How have you come by this knowledge?" Vader asked, turning to his apprentice.

Fi

"My entire squad was killed on Utapau. I didn't kill them myself, but I may as well have." Fi replied, looking sullen for a moment.

Zahanna

"Welcome home, Mai." Zahanna said with a chuckle, having heard the assassin come in.

Mai

Mai turned and looked towards where she heard Zahanna's voice was, a smirk on her face. "I see you haven't shown Ty lee what you look like without the disguise." Mai stated. "Doesn't matter I suppose. Anyways, I got us a meeting with Vader so we can discuss the whole Jedi thing."

Lilith

Lilith bit her lip and looked away as Fi informed her of his own troubles. "...How did it happen? Was it an ambush?"

Helios

Helios would rather not have to explain everything, but perhaps he could twist the truth to sound less bad. "I happened to overhear a few words from one of them, and they included your name, and bounty. Then I lured one of her associates away and convinced her to tell me what they wanted, as I was uncertain whether they meant to attack us. She then explained about the Jedi, and I thought whether or not you would release the man to them, or dispose of them, it would be better to have this meeting," he explained.

Iroh

Iroh smiled and remained silent, touched by Anwar's words. "I am glad I have such a good friend with me now," he finally said.

As Sokka walked down the corridors, Toph kept her ears open for any information that would help them find their friends. The Dai Li did not talk much, but when they did it was important. She and Sokka did not know where the others were being held, so short of asking one of the agents for directions this was their only course of action.

She could only hope their disguise lasted long enough for them to rescue her second family.

Anwar

"Yeah well...." Anwar replied, feeling awkward and slightly embarrassed by the Old General's compliment. "Why don't we make some tea? We have the rest of the day off anyways...." Anwar suggested politely as he tried to change the subject.

Azula walked through the alley ways, beginning to panic as she realized Ty lee was gone. "She left me.... No, Ty would never do that." Azula muttered to herself as she stopped. "Mai... She must have taken her, because of spite no doubt. She was always insecure. Well I'll show her then.... But first, Uncle, and then Vader." Azula decided before she began to start walking down the alley way again.
