Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

Sokka grinned and sat next to her, making sure to keep his arms around her as he did so. He yawned a little. It was night after all.

Hahn nodded, smirking a bit. Having a wife wouldn't be so bad. He'd still have the Bei Fong fortune and a woman to serve him. He did need a replacement for what Yue was going to be, after all.

"You sound tired, Sokka," she said. She took up her usual position by laying her head on his shoulder, her arms wrapping around one of his. Listening to his heartbeat helped comfort her, even through the sea-sickness. "Why don't you take a break?"

Sokka shook his head sleepily. He murmured, "What about you? Wouldn't want you to be sick while I'm asleep."

"I'll wake you up, then, if I get sick." She nudged him a little. "Go on. Rest. I'll be fine, Sokka."

"Okay," he told her, gripping her tighter, "Good night."

"Good night, Sokka," she said. She tilted her head up to kiss him on the chin. "I love you."

"I love you too," Sokka murmured, giving her another squeeze and kissing her sleepily, "With all my heart."

She smiled. She liked hearing those words, more than she could say. Her chest felt as if it were going to burst, and strangely enough it was a very nice feeling.

Toph fell asleep in his arms.

It was almost noon when the Fire Nation ship pulled into a dock of a town a little way away from Gaoling. Unsurprisingly, Sokka was still asleep, gripping the squishy thing he had in his arms tightly as the sun shone onto his face.

"Five more minutes," he murmured.

"Sokka... Sokka, I think we're there."

Toph had woke up the second she heard the ship dock. She was that eager to get on solid ground. Right now, though, Sokka had a pretty firm grip on her. She smiled as she listened to him murmur, half-asleep.

"Eh, tell Aang I'm sick," Sokka muttered, forgetting for a moment that they weren't on Aang's quest to save the world anymore.

She sighed. "Twinkle Toes isn't here. And you're in the wrong time," she said. Toph nudged him again. "C'mon, Snoozles. We're taking down some jerk you don't like, remember?" She grinned and leaned forward, giving him a rather deep kiss.

She was already getting better at guess where his lips lay.

Sokka smiled and kissed her back just as deeply. He yawned and opened his eyes, He murmured, "This is a good way to wake up."

"Is it? I think I'll try it again, sometime," she said. She kissed him again. "But only if you do the same for me sometimes, Snoozles."

"Of course, if I wake up first," Sokka told her with a laugh as he sat up, kissing her back. He grinned, "Can't wait to beat up Hahn."

"You might get your chance soon then." Toph sat up and stretched her arms, now that she could move them. "The ship docked just a few minutes ago. I'm guessing we're in Lo Pei. That's only a few miles from Gaoling."

"That's good. Say, would your dad blow a gasket if I call him 'Papi'?" he joked, standing up and stretching.

Toph just lifted a brow. "Don't try it," she said. "Seriously. Unless you want to be kicked out of the estates." She stood too and wobbled a little. Stupid ship... "Should I go home first, make sure Hahn's there? If he sees you, he's going to know the plans failed at the reception. He might run."

"Well, okay. I won't be far behind. Ill just be in an inn near your house," Sokka told her with a shrug, "I'm breaking in if you don't come get me soon."

Zuko was feeling a little better. He had gotten use to sailing for all the time he had to do it in the past and so the familiarity was comforting. But knowing where he was heading to made it less of one.

Toph smiled and patted his chest. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. I'll lead the sucker straight to you and the others. Promise."

"Good," he told her with a grin, "I can't wait to see the look on his face. Just be careful around him, okay? You benders tend to underestimate people sometimes. Especially non-benders."

Mai stretched as she woke up, silently stepping onto the floor before getting dressed. She looked around for her husband. Where was Zuko?

Jet and Haru were in a large room. They both assumed it was some kind of living room (I forgot the name they would use). Right now Jet was beating Haru at Pai Sho. Shizuka entered the room and walked over to the pair.
