Peace or Not (Avatar Roleplay)

"Agni, don't tell Ty Lee," Mai muttered, "She goes both ways."

Suki looked thoughtful before blushing and shaking her head, "Got it. And Jet, Haru wasn't the one that stocked a guy for three days."

"I did not stalk Zuko," Jet yelled defensively. "Will no one let that go?"

"Not when you get so defensive about it," Haru said, glad that he could tease the other boy as well.

Zuko felt his face get a little warm. "So do you all know where you're staying?"

"Um, not. Not exactly," Sokka told Zuko with a shrug.

"Me neither," Suki admitted, "I assumed we were going to be told eventually."

Mai smiled at Zuko and raised an eyebrow, her way of saying, 'Trying to change the subject, Zuko?'

"You should be staying at one of the guest rooms here in the palace. I'll have someone show you to then."

Zuko shot Mai back a sheepish look that said, 'No...'

"That'd be nice. Though I'd like to take a walk around. Last time I was here. Well I didn't have time to really take in the sights."

"Tell me about it. Everyone was in a rush to celebrate or go home," Sokka commented while Suki nodded in agreement.

"Ty Lee was... interesting," she murmured as she remembered how enthusiastic the girl was about joining the Kyoshi Warriors.

Mai smirked at Zuko, a smirk that said, 'You are cute when you're dorky, my Fire Lord.'

Zuko cleared his throat and gestured to a servant passing by.

"Will you please show my guests were their rooms are. You can have Haru and Jet share a room, Toph and Suki share another and Sokka can have his own until Aang arrives."

He looked at the others. "Sorry but I just want to be sure that everyone...behaves, so I made the rooms boy/boy and girl/girl. Though that may still be an issue for some."

"Who was that last comment directed at," Haru asked.

Suki blushed and glared at the Fire Lord, "I like girls my own age! I mean... I am not going to be any trouble."

"I think it was directed at Jet, Suki," Sokka told her and Suki blushed even more.

"Yes. I wouldn't want him to try to rape my fiance right before the wedding," Mai commented dryly.

Jet was tempted to attack Mai, but he didn't see that going well. Besides he promise not to get into any fights.

"Can we just go?"

The man nodded and started into the palace. Jet and Haru followed.

Zuko watched them go and sighed. "Well that was interesting to say the least. Let's hope the rest of our guests aren't as interesting."

"I doubt they will," Mai told him, almost of regret, "The Avatar is always polite and friendly and the others will want to please the Fire Lord. Katara, though, seems to change moods drastically."

"Ah. We just need to invite my family and then we would have a full party," Zuko said grim. He was of course referring to Ozai and Azula. The rest of his family weren't so bad.

"So how are you holding up," Zuko asked Mai.

"I don't think the wedding will go smooth with them there," Mai told him, in a slightly gentler tone than she normally used. She knew that Zuko still cared for them, despite what they've done.

"I'm fine. My parents are pleased that I found a good match," Mai told him, rolling her eyes, "My room's cold and I can't wait until this is over with."

The servants led the group to their respective rooms. Toph was frankly rather glad she was sharing with Suki. The Kyoshi Warrior was a lot easier to deal with than a certain waterbender she knew.

She was also glad most of the drama was over. Sokka could move on, and Suki didn't have to be nervous anymore.

Then something occured to her.

"What the heck did you mean, telling Sokka to treat me right?" she asked Suki.

"You did say you were his date, right?" Suki told Toph in confusion. She shrugged a little, "I thought you two were together now. I know you liked him last I saw you."

To tell the truth, she was a little annoyed when she learned it earlier, but now, she was just glad Sokka had someone else.

Sokka, meanwhile, stepped into his room and looked around. It was decorated Water Tribe style and had a big double bed.

"What, they expected me to bring a girl in here?" Sokka muttered dryly. He touched the bed, which was so plump, his hand sank into it and he fell on top of it. Talk about Fire Nation luxury.

"What?" Toph shook her head. "No, we're not together. The idiot lost his invitation, or something like that. We're allowed to have a guest with us, so I just dragged him along so he could get in."

She was blushing and didn't bother denying that she liked Sokka. Suki had known the truth of that for a long time.

Suki rolled her eyes, "Sokka's a dense. You have to be direct to him and send him signals if you want him to take notice. I think that's true for most guys, but Sokka's definitely the most severe case I've ever seen."

"I don't play that kind of game," said Toph, shortly. "I'm no good at it, and I really don't feel like throwing myself at anybody. It's pretty obvious he doesn't think of me in that way, either, so why even bother? I'm not going to risk our friendship."

"Toph," Suki sighed, "You don't know he doesn't like you this way. He's been in a relationship with me since before he met you. If you give him at least a clue, maybe he will realize he likes you."

"He doesn't like me that way," repeated Toph. She groaned. "I'm sorry I even brought it up. Let's just drop it, okay?"

"Okay," Suki said, holding up her hands defensively, "I was just saying that you never know. I'm just trying to help."

Toph just grumbled. She knew Suki was, but she didn't really want to deal with her feelings at the moment. She didn't want to risk losing Sokka as her best friend over this, but she was also afraid of the inevitable rejection that was sure to follow a confession of any sort.

(OOC: Okay, so where's Aang and Katara? Sorry, just wondering since they haven't appeared too much yet.)

OOC: Well, I'm playing Aang, but I was waiting on the person playing Katara to post before I had them arrive.

(Ah, yeah, romantic. She tends to disappear sometimes. I was hoping when she joined that she'd post since she seemed to have come back.)

OOC: I can go ahead and have Aang arrive, and we can assume Katara is with him.

(OOC: That will work. I'll message romantic and then we can timeskip to the wedding.)
