Into the Netherworld (Real Terror Universe)

"Why don't we do a little roleplaying. Ok, so we are a research team from the U.S.S. Enterprise, I'll be the female Spock. I am Mrs. Spock." She declared, picking up a stick and holding it high in the air as some kind of dramatic Gesture.
"This is an unknown jungle planet, whose only known poulationg is a band of grumpy jungle monks."

"Star Trek losers," the said jungle-monk muttered loudly, "I prefer Star Wars."

"Wow... This place is weird," Thomas commented with a wry smile. Who knew someone in the Netherworld would know about Sci-Fi?

"Star Wars is ok, I've memorized all thirteen hand removals, via a vlog brothers video." She declared.
"But Kirk would kick Luke skywalkers whiny butt any day."

Taryn laughed slightly, as Lily defended Star Trek. "I like both. I prefer the old Star Wars to the prequels, but I do like Episode III. In the first two episodes I couldn't stand to hear Amidala speak. And I prefer the original Star Trek characters to the new generation ones," Taryn stated in one long spew of nerd.

"Personally, I found some satisfaction in watching Anakin getting dismembered and burned alive," Thomas admitted guilty, "He was so annoying and emo. He kind of deserved it for his bad acting. As for being stupid..."

"So anyway, I'm Mrs. Spock, but We need a captain Kirk." Lily said, she was trying to prod the old man's anger, kin of the way you want to anger the guads at buckingham palace.

Taryn raised a hand, "I'll be the female Captain Kirk." She stood taller and took on an authoritive and slightly arrogant air. She waved her stick around in grand, unnecessary interpretive motions. She decided that she would go with her first impulse. Her curiosity had gotten the best of her. "Mrs. Spock, stand aside, I will attempt to communicate with this mysterious life-form." She proceeded to gently poke the meditating man with the stick once in the middle of the forehead, "Excuse me sir, whither wander you?"

"Yes captain." Lily folded her hands behind her back, and stepped back a few feet.

Hanyer and Charlie remained silent since neither one had ever seen Star Trek and had only seen the three new episodes of Star Wars. But Hanyer did smile at the two girls as they roleplayed.

"Just... Shut... UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the man cried as he grew bigger and hairier. Soon enough, he was a giant ape banging his fists on his chest.

"Um... Guys. I don't think this was such a good idea," Thomas told them, "It's an Ape Spirit!"

Hanyer moved in front of Charlie ready to defend her, but she pushed her way by him.

"What should we do? Run?"

"Hell No, we aren't going anywhere!" She exclaimed.
Lily forgot she no longer had her dagger, so she regretted giving it away when she reached to find no sheath at her side. She had no idea if or what kind of power she had, and so she was basically human. She just clutched the pendant of her necklace, It was a large Blue stone, the color of her icy eyes, and it was in the shape of an oval, set into a metal ring, which was surrounded by another ring. But it wasn't magic, and so she didn't notice anything, but there did seem tro be a strange glow in it. It was another artifact from her attic of "Junk" as her parents called it.

"Should I summon something to help," Charlie asked. She wasn't sure how her summon would react to the Underworld, but she wanted to help.

Hanyer felt useless as well. He did bring a knife, but it was a boy scout kind and kind of dull.

Taryn was frozen for a moment as she watched the 'man' transform into a beastly spirit. It had happened so quickly that it startled her. Her mind told her to run, but some instinct that she'd never felt before took over. Before she could think about it, she was low to the ground, one hand clasped around the grass-like plant carpeting the ground, the other up and drawn back with her hunting knife as if she was going to strike the ape. Her eyes went wide and she bared her teeth, giving the girl a wild appearance. A feral inhuman snarl tore from her lips as she looked up at the spirit, as if she were challenging it.

"Charlie can you summon Weapons, preferably a knife or bow and arrow?" She asked her friend hurriedly

Charlie nodded. She put her hands out and muttered a few words. Her body began to glow and soon a knife landed in outstretched hands.

"Will this do?"

"That's perfect, thanks Charlie." She smiled and took the dagger, She poised herself for attack, waiting to attack in time with Taryn, which could, at the very least, confuse it.

Taryn shook her head bit, closing her eyes. When she opened them, her pupils had become slit-like, as those of a cat would have. She looked up at Lily and gave a curt, signalling her to attack, just as she thrust her knife toward the spirit. She supposed that if she attacked it low, then Lily would be to attack it high. It would perhaps distract the spirit long enough for them to get away. Even with two of them on it, the odds didn't look good to her.

Thomas gripped his scythe and held it in front of him to defend him from the spirit. The man-ape roared and dodged Taryn's attack before aiming a punch at her. Thomas' eyes widened and he slashed with his scythe cutting its fist. This only seemed to make it angrier as it aimed another punch at Thomas, who dodged, before barreling towards Lily with a roar.

"Damn it," Thomas cursed, "Why couldn't we leave him alone?"

Charlie summoned another knife and handed it to Hanyer. He looked from it to Charlie and shook his head.

"No. I can't fight. You know that."

Charlie frowned. She looked at the fight, wanting to join, but she didn't know if she should.

"I can't summon any elements to help me or anything strong. I'm still just a beginner, but..." Charlie gripped the knife in her hands. "I want to help."

With that said, she joined them, slashing at it's waist.

Taryn backed up a bit from the spirit when it swung at her and grounded herself, getting lower and then springing trying to latch onto the creature's back. She didn't truly want to hurt it. It was her fault that it had attacked in the first place and she wanted to stop it before any of them got hurt.

"Wait. Maybe if we just run away, it won't chase us," Thomas suggested as it aimed a backhand at Charlie. His eyes widened, "We need to get Charlie out of here! Maybe it won't follow us if it just wants to be left alone."

Charlie didn't see the blow coming, but Hanyer did. Taking his crappy knife, he moved in front of her, pushing the girl to the ground.

Hanyer went flying after being hit, landing a couple feet away.

"HANYER!"

Charlie raced over to her friend, checking to make sure he's alive. Hanyer opened his eyes slowly and smiled at Charlie.

"Don't be stupid, ok?"

"Ok."

Taryn nodded once when she heard Thomas. She looked at the spirit, raising her hand to her mouth then lowering it forward, signing her apology and quickly adding, "I am sorry for disturbing you." Her eyes could not hide her guilt. She'd seen Hanyer fly after being hit. And that was her fault.

"Let's go!"

"Agreed. Lily! You heard her! We need to leave!" Thomas shouted over at his friend, hoping to get her to move.
