+Anima the Roleplay part 2 (Because part 1 was burried alive.)

Amanda bit her lip, feeling slightly large, in spite of her small stature and general littleness after falling like that so many times. She was beginning to feel extremely guilty for what she'd been doing to Carter all day. She listened as Carter stood up and seemingly sat down on his bed. She felt around until she pulled herself off the ground. The bed was closer than anything else to sit on other than the floor. She would have refrained from even touching it beforehand, but given the situation, she knew it was safer than trying to find someplace else to sit down on.

She clumsily sat down on the edge of the bed, as far from Carter as she possibly could be, or so she thought.

You should have just stayed on the floor... she thought.

"I'm sorry," she mumbled again.

Carter was staring at his wall blankly, trying to distinguish shapes, but finding it very hard. He sighed. So far, this day had felt like a roller coaster, and he was on his way down a hill again.

He felt the bed shift slightly and figured Amanda had sat down on the edge of his bed. He didn't really care at the moment, though he was slightly upset that Amanda most likely broke his light.

"It's okay... I guess," he mumbled back. Carter leaned back on his bed, trying to tell if it he would hit his head on anything. His shoulder hit something and Carter shot forward, sitting straight up. He had bumped into Amanda. Carter leaned a different way, this time, only running into his pillows.

Mrs. Landon convinced her husband to leave Carter and his... girlfriend... alone for a while. He grudgingly agreed to check back on them right before lunch.

"I'm sorry," Amanda said, one last time before she was knocked down to Carter's level as he'd run into her. Fortunately, she was still on the bed, and it was soft, unlike the floor. He was laying on his back, and now she was. It felt... odd. Even in the dark, she could still, barely, see the outline of his face, staring at the wall across from him, as if to try and make out anything in the dark. Lightning struck outside, momentarily filling the room with brightness. It didn't scare her as much as it startled her, forcing her involuntarily closer to Carter. She swallowed, and tried to focus on the wall as well. But she couldn't. Somehow, her gaze traveled to Carter again. It was strange, how silent he was now, the storm amplified once more in the background, and echoing through the darkness.

"It's alright," Carter said, looking at Amanda briefly as she was knocked down by him. They seemed to be even now, in more ways than one. For instance, they had both knocked each other down today. And now, they were equal with each other, both laying on his bed. Oddly, it didn't feel weird to Carter. To him, the whole thing seemed oddly... innocent....

He felt Amanda move a little closer to him when the lightning struck outside. It filled his room with a bright light, making Carter feel half blind. He turned his head and found himself looking at Amanda. With the thunder outside, it made him realize how silent they were. He swallowed, wanting to say something, but feeling as if that might ruin this moment between them.

Amanda looked back at him directly now, no longer trying to hide that she was. She saw the way he swallowed; there was nothing to say for them right now. The storm stayed loud and dark, and she moved a little closer, though she had no reason than to just be closer. Silence was comfortable. Fitting.

Roger thought for a moment about what Aidan needed to do. "When you wake up, look for a man who looks like me. Do what he tells you to do." Roger told Aidan, before finally pulling over near the secret Brian cave. Roger got out of the car, and went around to Aidan's door, and opened it, with a black sac in his hand. He quickly put it over Aidan's head and stabbed a needle into his neck. "Do what I tell you to, and you won't end up back in my car. Goodnight Aidan." he said, injecting him with a sedative, and knocked him out once more.

Karen pulled into the Pierce's driveway, quickly, drifting a bit. "Mom! Be careful!" Jade spat, as he held Caresa close to himself. He had used his make shift bandage around her stomach, where her scars had opened up. "You're going to be fine." he told her, feeling a bit of nostalgia from when they were in the ambulance. "You can't give up now, or your boyfriend would miss you." he said, sort of teasing her about when he had believed her and Aidan to be together.

"Are we good to move her?" Mrs. Pierce asked from the front seat.

Jade shook his head. "Let's let her decide. Can you move?" he asked, trying to sound professional despite the fact that he would keep looking into her turquoise eyes, and forget for a moment that she was hurt, and simply admire her beauty.

Aidan listened closely to Roger's instruction, trying not to nod in response. Or respond at all. And suddenly, the vehicle had stopped moving. He looked ready to get out, when a black sac came over his head. He panicked for a moment, and there was a sharp pain in his neck, before he felt uncannily calm and sleepy... with this, everything went black once more.

Caresa leaned heavily against Jade, struggling to keep concious as they drove back to his house. She was feeling rather faint when they finally arrived. She gave a weak smile at Jade's nostalgic comments. The time in the ambulance had not soon faded from her mind. Though she knew her now-boyfriend would miss her... what was fading however, was her doubts of him from this morning. It was beginning not to matter, he had to act at school.

"Are we good to move her?" she heard Mrs. Pierce say.

"Let's let her decide. Can you move?"

Jade's voice was calm and almost humorously professional. She nodded weakly, and reluctantly loosened herself from Jade's arms. She pulled up the lock on the door, and opened it.

Carter looked back at her, not trying to hide the fact that he was staring back at her. He looked into her eyes, trying to make out the gray-blue in the dark. He moved a little closer, and was able to see just a little glimmer of the blue in her eyes if he looked hard enough. Leaning a little closer, Carter noticed that his nose was beginning to rub against hers, but he didn't pull back. Carter looked at Amanda, as if asking permission for something.

Amanda stared back at him, feeling her breath catch as his face was touching hers. She stared into his eyes, seeing their brilliant green even in the dark. She almost nodded, closing her eyes as if to give him the permission his own gaze was asking her. She waited for him to close the space between them...

Carter saw Amanda's eyes closed, and his closed as well as he moved closer to fill the space between them. He felt his lips first make contact with Amanda's chin, so he kissed that lightly before making his way to her lips. Carter briefly thought about his last kiss (which happened to be in seventh grade) and how it didn't feel like this. This one was already so much better. Carter's hands moved to Amanda's waist, pulling her a little closer.

Amanda, who vaguely knew that she should be ridiculously nervous, absolutely did not feel that way. She smiled as Carter kissed her chin, making his way to her lips. She kissed him back, slowly, cautiously. There was no way to describe this feeling as they kissed, his hands on her waist, pulling her closer. She put her hands tenderly on his neck, gently, so as to not hurt him, moving a slight bit closer.

Carter, feeling Amanda kiss him back, deepened the kiss a little bit. He almost wanted to open his eyes to look at Amanda, but like all the other times, his eyes seemed glued shut. For some reason, no matter how hard he tried, whenever he kissed someone, it was impossible for him to open his eyes until it was over.

Carter had to pull away for breath after a few minutes. He smiled at her, breathing a little heavier than normal.

"So... I guess we're actually going out, now..." he said, trailing off. It was amazing how quickly things could change because of certain events....

Amanda pulled back slowly, breathing heavily as well. She smiled back at him, laughing slightly as well. She nodded.

"I... guess we are," she replied. She would have to make other comments later. She moved close to him again, just looking back at him again. It was quite amazing how quickly things could change.

Carter grinned. He was just about to make another sexual comment, but he didn't feel like being abused in the first five minutes of his first relationship in two years. He could wait a few minutes to make a comment. It wasn't on the top of his list to be slapped by his new girlfriend at any point in his life. Although, Carter knew it would happen eventually in their relationship. He simply couldn't resist saying those things. But for the time being, Carter wasn't going to say those.

"Now my parent's will really have to be worried about this door being locked."

Or... he could just blurt it out right away....

"I was starting to feel pretty guilty about slapping you those other times, but... really, Carter? Really? In the first five minutes of our relationship? Ah well, I was getting kind of worried that you maybe hit your head a little too hard..." Amanda replied. The quiet, brilliant moments between them were over. But this was how the real thing would be, she was sure. Sarcasm and teasing and pushing each other's buttons.

"And, just saying, I'm not going much farther than that kiss... just thought I'd let you know."

She adjusted herself in his arms, still close to him, but a little more comfortable for herself.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Mrs. Landon looked down the stairs. She turned to her husband.

"Did you hear the door close a few minutes ago...?" she asked, suspiciously. "Maybe... maybe you should go down and check on them."

Honestly, she didn't particularly want to really find out what Carter and his... girlfriend... were doing. It was still a little shocking to her. And it didn't comfort her much that they didn't have... anything... for... anything... a thought came to her mind.

"Why don't you go down and check on them, I'll be right back."

With this, she trailed into the room she shared with her husband.

"Just so you know, I wasn't planning on saying that so soon. It just sort of... slipped out. And besides, now you know that I'm entirely fine," Carter said, smirking slightly. He was sure they would have more quiet moments like the that one, but most of the time, it would probably be sarcasm and teasing. Which was what lost him all of his past girlfriends but this is Carter, so what's to be expected?...

"Fine by me. It's fun to make my parents think there's more going on, but if they take me too seriously..." Carter shuddered at the thought.

Mr. Landon really didn't want to walk in on Carter and his girlfriend any more than his wife did, but she had used the tone so there was really no point in arguing. Besides, she was already halfway down the hall.

Sighing, he stood up and walked downstairs. Mr. Landon knocked on Carter's door, and tried turning the handle, but it seemed to be locked.

"Carter! Open up this door right now!" he said loudly, not angry enough to yell quite yet.

Carter's eyes flew to the door as his dad knocked.

"Just a minute," he called. "We've gotta finish something really quick."

Amanda sighed.

"Well, if I have any say in it, we come clean to your parents. You know, that we don't actually do anything."

And at that opportune moment, Mr. Landon arrived outside the door. She heard his loud voice, and then it escalated. She looked at Carter.

"Just a minute. We've gotta finish something really quick."

She glared at him.

"You know, you're making it very hard for me not to be an abusive girlfriend," she muttered, as she pulled away from him, and stood. She sighed.

"Hold on a minute, hon!" said Mrs. Landon, arriving down the stairs. She handed her husband a box...

"Aw, but where's the fun in that? Besides, I don't think my parents will take it that seriously. You just need to relax and have some fun," Carter said, walking over to his door. He jiggled the door handle, trying to unlock it when he heard a faint click.

He had ignored her abusive girlfriend comment, mostly because he knew exactly what he could say to reply it. If only it wouldn't have earned him a smack in the face.

Mr. Landon looked at the box his wife put in his hands. It would be hard, but if Carter and his girlfriend really were doing something.... He nodded, holding the box a little tighter.

Carter opened the door.

"Yes?" he said, leaning against his door frame. He looked at his dad's half-crazed eyes and then looked at the box in his dad's hands.

Carter's face paled.

"Okay! I was kidding! We don't do anything!" he said, trying to block his dad from handing over that box. Carter was never again going to doubt how seriously his parents took things.

Amanda stood in the background, her hands on her hips, as Carter stood in the doorway. She watched him and his father, and she noticed what his dad was holding. Her jaw dropped a little, and it seemed a little much for Carter.

"Okay! I was kidding! We don't do anything!"

Finally..., Amanda thought, a smirk growing on her face, as she held back snickers. He finally confessed it. Slowly, Amanda approached the door, standing behind Carter.

"Yeah, sorry for freaking you guys out..." she said.

Mrs. Landon looked very visibly relieved when her son spoke, panicked as he did seem.

"Alright then... well... still, if you two... you know... I... I'd rather you..."

She guided her husband's hand closer to Carter.

"Just take them."

Carter recoiled from the box in his dad's hand. He grabbed Amanda's shoulders and moved her in front of himself.

"I don't want them," he said, feeling heat flow to his face. Carter knew it wasn't just his cheeks that were red, but his whole entire face! This day had started out so crappy, gotten so amazing, and now back to being crappy again. Only this was way worse.

"So... you guys can go now. I can guarantee nothing will happen. Trust me," he said, looking serious. If his parents were dead serious about this, then Carter certainly wasn't going to joke around about it anymore.

Mr. Landon sighed.

"Just... tell us if you ever do need them," he said, turning around to go back upstairs. He wouldn't be surprised if he was completely gray-haired before the end of the week.

Mrs. Landon nodded along with her husband's words, and followed him up the stairs. She felt very much the same as he did about this.

Amanda was now in front of Carter. She could see how red his face was. It was all she could do not to laugh at him. It was cruel, but... after all those comments he'd made, she figured he deserved it. She covered her mouth with her hand, as his parents went back up the stairs, walking into the room. Sure, this counted against her too...

"Your face, Carter... it matches you hair..." she said, unable to stop herself. Oh man, was she immature today.

Carter's face started to return to normal color when he saw Amanda laughing at him. Sure, he might have deserved it, but it was aimed at her as much as it was at him.

"Your face, Carter... it matches your hair..."

"Okay. That's it. You are dead, Amanda Rivvers," Carter said, a certain gleam in his eye. He stepped toward her, slowly at first, then quickly gaining speed. He started tickling her, hoping that she actually was ticklish. Because this attack just wouldn't be as fun if she wasn't.

Amanda started laughing hysterically, looking at him in shock. Unfortuantely for her, she was very ticklish. She tried to push him away or tickle him back.

"You... s-stop it... right now... Carter Landon!" she shouted, through uncontrollable giggles. It was her automatic reaction to being tickled.

Why do I have to laugh when this happens?! she thought, feeling rather obnoxious. Still, she couldn't stop.

Carter ignored Amanda telling him to stop, and kept tickling her anyway. Apparently, Amanda was very ticklish. As he was tickling her, Carter realized that this was the first time in a long time when he wasn't looking for a fight. He felt... happy. Really and truly happy. It was nice not to want to punch somebody's face in all the time. He wondered how Amanda felt (other than probably angry for being tickled).

Amanda was pretty angry for being tickled, but it was nothing like earlier. She still tried to get Carter back, and in spite of her embarrassment and failed attempts, she felt something inside of her. She wasn't stressed, knew she would forgive Carter as soon as he stopped tickling her, and she was completely devoid of the constant worrying that usually accompanied her presence. She felt almost... content. For right now, for everything that had happened over the past hour or so and how it all changed so rapidly. Maybe things would be... good from now on.

Her realistic look at whatever went on in the world and in her life left temporarily as she tried to focus on the here and now. She was still laughing despite her attempts to stop, and Carter didn't seem to be giving up. Almost involuntarily, she tried to kick him away... gently.
