| HMZM and whitelily131-accepted. MORE CharactersCharacter Name: Alexander Lavarre, changed his name to Jesse
Vampire/Human?: Modernist Vamp, changed in effort to cover his tracks
Age: Appears: 21, Changed: 21, Actual: 27.
Appearance: Messy dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, 6'0", lanky yet still muscular, his features are perfect as most vampires are, has a great smile but rarely does anymore
Personality: Charming and witty, but has difficulty opening up to people, sensitve, clever, mildly paranoid thanks to his past, has a strong sense of self-preservation, he broods often and as such appears like a bit of a bad boy with the ladies.
History: He was entirely normal until he got involved with a girl named Isabelle during his Junior year of college. One night after a party the two went back to his dorm room for some *ahem* fun. She changed him and for the next few years they hunted together as companions. After 5 years or so Alex was becoming tired of the way they lived and wanted more, and Isabelle was becoming tired of him. Then one night Alex found her sleeping with another man, so in his rage he destroyed her(or so he thought). Somehow in the back of his mind he knew that she'd survived, so he packed up, changed his name to Jesse and moved to Midnight Heights. There he made another change and became an M.V. . Other: Is majoring in Law, and loves riding his motorcycle.
Character Name: Isabelle Arden
Vampire/Human?: T.V, always been that way, and probably always will
Age: Appears: 20 , Changed:18 , Actual: 73,
Appearance: Long curly so blond it looks white hair, violet eyes, traditional pale skin, her features are lovely but strong, 5'6", she is considered very beautiful even in vampire circles.
Personality: Seductive, manipulitive, smart, insanely jealous, vengeful, wrathful, conniving, and a bit sadistic. She intends to take revenge on the male gender for what happened in her youth.
History: While she was still human a male vampire raped her and liked her so much that he changed her. After destroying him as he had destroyed her, she set off to extract her revenge on mankind. She seduced Alex just as she had many others before him, but during their time together she saw something in his eyes that made her reconsider. So she made him her eternal companion. After roughly five years she tired of him and his weakness and returned to her old ways. Alex thought he had killed her, but he hadn't. It took her time to recover, but now she is after him. Partly for revenge purposes, and partly because she actually misses him. . Other: Nothing really.
Username: Batella13
Character Name: Leonore
Vampire/Human?: Vampire. Having been turned and taught by a pair of vampires who weren't familiar with the concept of vampires outside of themselves (the sire of the first destroyed himself, the first created the second) , her ways lean more toward TVs. However, she respects humans and their ways. (see history for more info)
Age: 21.
Appearance: Leonore
Personality: Leonore is a calm, logical girl. She enjoys fantasy/action/adventure/romance novels and sarcasm.
History: She was born human and lived a normal human life throughout her school days. After high school she decided she wanted to take a year before going to college to tour Europe. So, for the majority of her trip she enjoyed the sights and sounds of Western Europe, before heading to infamous Eastern Europe. She had arrived at her hotel in Romania near the mountains after dark in late April. She recovered from her travel, and the next afternoon she decided to go for a hike. She followed a game trail into the woods and used chalk to mark trees as she went. She didn't realize it, but she was headed up the mountain. Leonore was startled to find a flat stone path hidden beneath the underbrush that seemed to be leading to stairs that had been carved into the side of the mountain. She tucked the chalk back into her pocket and started up the steps. An hour or so later, she found herself at a empty door frame that would not have looked out of place in a mine. Without hesitation, she entered the mountain. Inside, she found a rectangular room with a path leading down the center and curving to the right toward another, more sinister looking door. To her left were large open windows of sorts, three perfect squares one after the other but without glass. Beneath the windows was what seemed to be a flower bed. The greenery only broken by a large stone sarcophagus. To her left was another sarcophagus, but this one was cracked open. Leonore followed the path to find it branched out before the door. One path lead through the door, the other lead to the other side of the cracked sarcophagus. She turned right, coming up alongside the opening. Feeling dazed, she moved the lid open more and closed her eyes. There was a gentle breeze, then she was grabbed from behind in an almost familiar embrace. A hand teased her head to the right. For a brief second, she felt lips just above her pulsating vein in a macabre kiss before realizing that her skin had been pierced. In her dazed state, it did not occur to her that she could, should struggle with her assailant. Instead, she gave herself willingly to the waves of power, pain, and pleasure that emanated from that bite. She was released, and turned to face the one that had came out of the sarcophagus. It was a man of roughly 25, he was tall, with wavy blond hair and eyes that reflected the blue light from the windows in a hypnotically beautiful way. His eyes spoke to something in her that understood, though she did not and she walked back to the other sarcophagus. A similar event was undertaken, and she found herself facing another man of 25. This one was slightly shorter than the first with brilliantly blue eyes and ruffled brown hair. She knew what they were, she had heard of them from her friends and teachers. They were vampires. Children of the night. They glanced with each other, seemingly communicating something. She was too weak to discern what, though. Then they used one fang to cut into the vein on their wrists, and held them over her mouth. -- Later she told James and Stat that it would have been more efficient to inject the venom with their fangs. Which sparked the conversation of 'how do you know that?' (She's stayed with them since her turning a year and a half ago.)
Other: She's romantically involved with them both. (Just a friendly warning)
Username: Batella13
Character Name: James
Vampire/Human?: Vampire. (see Leonore's answer for info)
Age: 25
Appearance: James
Personality: Conservative gentleman. Bookish, but not extremely. Kind and gentle. Rather human. Known for feeling guilty for taking human life, while he was freshly turned at least.
History: Turned by an acquaintance who wanted a companion. James did not know about the existence of other vampires. He had never run into one as a human or vampire. He didn't live in an area that was populated by vampires. He and Stat (the acquaintance) stayed in James' hometown for a while before traveling and ultimately 'falling asleep' in sarcophagi in the mountains of Romania. Awakened by Leonore some years later. *going into a state where they are dead to the world, but can exist for centuries. Similar to a coma.
Other:
Username: Batella13
Character Name: Stat
Vampire/Human?: Vampire. (see Leonore's answer for info) (was the first that was mentioned.)
Age: 25
Appearance: Stat
Personality: Assertive, type A, but thoughtful. A spirited leader... and predator. (hard to describe)
History: Turned by a crazy old vampire, who then destroyed himself, Stat did not know about other vampires. The one that had turned him had rambled about many things that were quite easy to interpret as Stat being the last of his kind. He wandered for about a century before meeting James. He turned James, and they wandered together. (best friends everyone needs one) They grew tired of being the way they were, and went to 'sleep' in sarcophagi in the mountains of Romania. Awakened by Leonore some years later to find that there are more of their kind.
Other:
Username: Plaguewalker
Character Name: Drusillus
Vampire/Human?: Vampire, T.V.
Age: Appears 25, actually 3042, born a vampire.
Appearance: Drusillus
Personality: Drusillus cares for no one other than himself, and takes the utmost pleasure in the suffering of lesser beings. He’d sooner kill you than talk to you, but he has been know to form covens when the need arises. Make no mistake, he will send any vampire to their death to satisfy his hunger, and nothing can stand between Drusillus and his prey.
History: Born in the time of the Roman Empire, Drusillus lived like any other Vampire, feeding off of humans. He lived this way for most of his early life, before a patrol of guards caught as he fed off a young woman. They overwhelmed him with numbers, and sentenced him to be crucified.
Nailed to the cross, he was left to rot there until death would claim him. However, as a vampire, he would never pass on. For weeks, he tried to free himself, but to no avail. His hunger grew, and grew, and grew, slowly consuming Drusillus’s thoughts.
One night, as the moon began to fall from the sky, he had an epiphany. The hunger was not a weakness. No, from it, vampires drew their power. On that night, Drusillus destroyed the cross, and ascended himself to a Varghulf. His power grew to something greater than his lesser kin. He hunted down those that had harmed him, and tore them from the mortal coil. And on the eve of the Roman Empire’s collapse, Drusillus simply vanished.
He has existed over the ages, appearing during the dark times of mankind, and feeding his unquenchable hunger with the blood of saints and tyrants alike. Recently, he has appeared in Midnight Heights, and several vampires whisper that his coming is a sign that war is truly about to begin.
Other: The only know Varghulf in existence.

Danielle
"BRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNGGGRINGRINGRINGRING!" shouted the obnoxious school bell, signifying the end of another day at school. Danielle lugged her books off of her desk, stuffing them into her book bag, planning out her schedule for the day.
Go home, do homework, study for test in Lit for tommorrow, eat dinner, go to work... get home safely. She assumed that she wouldn't have time to visit with Dave that evening, though she secretly planned to do so. She could probably bring her Lit book to the Cafe later anyway... she'd done it before. Her sister wouldn't have a break from school until next week, so she wouldn't be seeing her for a while... alright, no distractions.
There was a strange feeling she had about him right now, especially considering how his girlfriend was coming home from her photography assignment in Colorado... she was dreading it already, had been dreading it for weeks, but somehow, it seemed like having her come back would shatter everything they had.
Or didn't have, for that matter.
All the more reason to try to see him tonight... -----
Tommy
Tommy looked across the hall, seeing Danielle retrieving her valuables, cell phone and iPod and whatever else she didn't already have in her backpack from her locker. She had that look on her face, the one where she was either planning something, or thinking about the truck guy. Or both.
He wondered why she was never concerned when she had to work nights at the Cafe, one in the busiest part of the city, vampire central. She may have been 'nocturnal', as she described herself, but it had nothing to do with the amount of minimal sleep she got, working all these late shifts. It didn't matter if most of the vampires who came were "harmless" MV's who came from the University between classes.
Modernist Vampires, Traditionalist Vampires, they were all the same. They were vampires, they weren't to be trusted. He didn't even like how she worked so casually beside another mosquito there... she wasn't safe. She shouldn't be around that place at night... maybe not even in the day.
He knew she got annoyed by him talking that way, but he was only trying to protect her... it was dangerous there.
"Hey," he said, approaching her while was walking toward the school parking lot. He really had to talk some sense into her... he wouldn't be able to stand it if she got hurt, especially by one of those blood-sucking monsters.
And if she did, the leech's last sight of blood would be his own, flowing from his corrupted, staked heart.

| Tatiana furrowed her brow at the math problem set in front of her. Confusion set in over her eyes and she grabbed her scientific calculator. Punching in some numbers, an alarm on her phone set off. It jolted her for a moment, but she realized that it was only to tell her that the high school had let its prisoners free. Tatiana sighed and pushed her hair behind her ears. "Alright now, if..." she mumbled and trailed off, sifting on her stool.
Sighing in exasperation, Tatiana quit the lesson and closed her laptop. She grabbed the latest mystery novel she was reading from under the counter and waited for business to pick up. Sales were almost nothing during the morning, but there was the odd few. Now that it was afternoon, she was prepared to get sales going. She was still slightly unnerved by how many vampires there really were.
She shook her head when she thought about what her parents would say. "Could you have chosen a worse place?" Tatiana imaged they would say. She smiled and told herself that she made the right decision. She loved the thrill of danger lurking with every minute that passed.

| ((James has been accepted as Leonardo's handler. (N13's character) Also would like to state that Leonore has convinced them to become MVs. now just read the darn post! )) Leonore blearily looked up at her lovers as they nudged her awake. They had arrived at the small airport in Midnight Heights after a 3 hour flight. She followed them as they lead her out of the plane and through customs. They grabbed their suitcases and set about finding their rental car. "I really hate mornings." She said, finally coherent enough to speak. The plane had set off at about 4am, when she wasn't awake until 7:30 most mornings. The blond to her left laughed as they walked away from the counter, having received their key. "You won't have to wake up that early for a long time," the brunette on her right reassured as he put an arm around her. They strode though the parking garage toward the sleek sports car that Stat just had to rent. Sometimes the blond just was beyond her understanding. -- James looked around the flat, his new home. Two rooms, one bath, medium kitchen, and medium living room. The flat was already furnished and the appliances were all set up. All that was left was to unpack their clothing and other collected items. Stat was lounging on the couch, watching the morning news, Leonore was in their bedroom playing catch-up with sleep, and he didn't know what to do. So he grabbed a box and started toward Stat. -- Stat turned to find his friend rummaging through one of the boxes, sorting the junk out into piles. "James, you've got to learn to relax. You're going to need your strength for later. After all, you've got babysitter duty for the suits later." All he got in return for his advice was a glare.

| Charlotte
It was one of her least favorite times of day. It meant that the humans that were at school, and some that had been at work were all going to be roaming around the town, their blood thickening in the air. It made it rather difficult to go about the day like a... like a human. Thirty or so years as an M.V. had been difficult for Charlotte, but she was determined not to drink any blood of humans.
Not today. Not tomorrow. Hopefully never again...
Garrett
Garrett quickly gathered up his books and shoved them roughly into his bag when class was dismissed. He hurried out into the hallway, fighting with the throng of other students to get to the exit.
After a few minutes' walk, he arrived at his apartment, and was able to drop off his things before work. Garrett grabbed his shirt and name tag for the hotel he worked at, leaving just as quickly as he had come, locking the door behind himself.
It took only a few minutes for him to get to work and paste the fake smile on his face to greet incoming guests. Just another fun day in the life of Garrett Andrews.

| "Hey," Danielle replied to her friend. She glanced over to him, as they walked alongside each other to their cars. His dark locks fell over his eyes, though neither his hair or his now-barely noticeable (sp?) glasses could cover up the seriousness within them. The "hey" was casual, but beneath it, there was more. She knew she was about to get another "don't work the night shift because vampires are evil!!one!" lectures. She knew why he felt the way he did... and she tried to be sensitive, but this was getting extremely annoying, and he didn't have to think this way about vampires... one case didn't represent all of them.
But that was not the case for him.
"...you know that a whole bunch of TV hang outs aren't too far away from there, the cemetery, alleys to hide in and attack from... but a lot of them don't even do that, they might pretend to be an MV, or even a human, just to lure you in... "
Danielle hardly heard him the entire time he'd been talking, too busy analyzing him and mentally venting her frustration and annoyance about his anti-vampire moods to pay attention.
"Look, I hear you, okay? It's 'DANGEROUS' out there, and vampires could attack me, yeah, yeah, okay? It's a possibility. But not all vampires are bad. There's a risk for everything, like I could get in a car accident heading to work, or trip on a staircase and wind up cracking my head open, or some messed up human could attack me. I'm taking all those risks, and I'm okay with that. I can take care of myself. And your angsty moods and your hatred is really, beyond, getting on my nerves. Get over yourself."
No sooner had the words come out of Danielle's mouth did she realize what she had said. She watched as Tommy turned his head away from her as though she'd slapped him. "I-I... I'm sorry, I just lost my patience, I'm sorry..."
He shook his head, and sighed shakily. "J-Just... I'm sorry. I guess... I... I'll talk to you later, okay?" his voice at the same composure of his sighing. He swallowed and entered his car.
Danielle bit her lip, and got into her own car, sticking her keys in and pulling out, heading home. Today was a day where it was bad that her and Tommy lived just across the street from each other... just like their lockers... where they had easy access to them to reach each other, whenever they needed to talk. She never wanted to hurt him, especially after all he'd been through... and she didn't usually act like this. What had gotten into her...? She desperately hoped everything wuould be okay. ---- Tommy started driving home, hardly able to pay attention, while his mind escaped to a bloody dead body in a garden, and horrible emotions, screaming, shocked towns, loss of friends and families and even a will to speak... but she kept showing up in his mind, the gentle, kind woman who would have never expected that her death would come in such a way... and how it was all over... it almost literally blinded him, narrowly avoiding a car at the intersection before his neighborhood, running a red light. He drove into his drive way, turning off his car and holding his head in his hands, leaning onto the top of the steering wheel...
This wasn't Danielle's fault. She was the one who'd brought him out of all that could destroy him... but now it was apparent she couldn't stand him... it was obvious that this was all he would be to her, maybe. And she loved someone else... he should let her go, and let her be happy... if it was what she wanted, he should let her have it.
But he still woudln't be able to stand it if she got hurt... or worse. He just wouldn't be able to handle it. And to see her in a state such as that... maybe he'd keep his distance, but he would make sure no one hurt her like that...
Andrew
It was a little early to be waking up. Had storm clouds not been creeping across the sky, the sunlight would be bright and loud. Andrew stuck his hand out of his window, seeing it fade slightly. He wanted to make sure it would turn entirely invisible. It was becoming more visible... he honestly had to start waking up later. But regardless. It would make him easier to blend in, so he could find his prey for the night.
He walked over to his fireplace and decided to clear it out... the scent of last night's blood was still lingering, and he regretted having to dispose of it... He sighed, and headed for the door, after dressing in casually-formal clothes, and onto the street. He had the sickening appearance of an M.V... perhaps he should have waited until later that night.
Then something caught his eye... rather, someone. Hm. Perhaps she didn't even count as a someone, with what she had become...
Charlotte O'Brien, the only vampire he'd ever created...

| -Charlotte-
Charlotte glanced around, wondering if it was too early to go to sleep. Her sleeping cycle was forever messed up, so she just went by what was probably considered 'normal'.
Looking up at the storm clouds that were gathering, she decided that it probably would be best to get home-- across town. Sighing she started walking home, ignoring any public buses that passed her; it wasn't as if she was going to get sick anyway. So if she did get rained on, it wouldn't matter... it hadn't mattered for about forty to fifty years.
Seeing the very uncrowded streets, she realized just how out of place she looked. Charlotte was one of the only people without even an umbrella... and alone....
Charlotte! Snap out of this! Ugh... I must be more tired than I thought, if I'm this sad about being out of place. Maybe tomorrow will be better for my unraveling mind...
Garrett
Just let this end!
Garrett hated the fact that the only job he could get as a poor college kid was being a greeter in a stupid hotel. Older guests looked at him with pity, kids played tag around him, and kids his own age just laughed at him. And not to mention any of the rare vampires. It sucked.
Maybe it was time to go looking for a different job. One that actually, uh, didn't suck.

| Leonardo sat in a white waiting room, white walls, white ceiling, white tables, white chairs, everything was white... until Leonardo took notice of the light beige carpeting... that didn't count though, floors can't be white, it's a rule, or is it? These were all the thought's that were running through Leonardo's head, he then scrapped the whole idea of no white floors, and got up, from where he sat, with his feet on the table. He now wore a long blood red trench coat, with black pants and shoes, and a large flat topped hat with a very much over the top brim, blood red like the coat. He walked towards the refrigerator, large and white. He began to complain in his mind about yet more whiteness before remembering that he had specified that the fridge for the room be white, because it went with the room. He opened the freezer part of the fridge and reached into the cold cold box. He pulled out a red popsicle, except one could tell that it was once a blood donation. The plastic IV fluid bag, and the crudely stuck in popsicle stick were a dead giveaway. Leonardo ripped off the plastic, not hungrily, but leisurely. This wasn't a meal, it was a snack. I am a former alley cat. I used to live the harsh life on the streets, but now I've been taken in against my will and now wear a collar on my neck! How embarrassing how infuriating how- yummy. his mental anger rant ended short as he began to lick his bloodsicle. His eyes closed in delight, and he licked happily at the dark red ice. Leonardo retook his seat at the table and continued to lap at his nuriting delight, and began to ponder great mysteries, such as, "They claim that Franklyn can tie his shoes, but yet he never wears shoes, nor do any of his woodland pals. Where would such a skill come into use?" he pondered aloud. Suddenly an intercom by the door buzzed on. "You have a mission tonight. A TV nest has been located near a cafe. It seems to be a place where young people hang around, prime area for seduction and then feeding. Your handler, James, will rendezvous with you at the cafe after dark. You're going to need to follow some possible targets out of the cafe and then take out the nest. But since you become invisible during the day we want you to scout out the area and begin preparing a strategy. Well drop off the arms you'll need before the operation. Dismissed, oh, and just to remind you-" the chief of police explained before being cut off by Leonardo. "If I step out of line the collar kills me. We've been over this." he said, momentarily removing the popsicle from his lips. The police chief sighed. "Yes. Alright just go." he ordered. There was a buzz and the door to the waiting room opened, Leonardo, walked out the door, and left red drippings along the halls of the police station, as he walked through it. | |

| Danielle sighed and heaved her heavy backpack up, moving toward the house, making her entrance as the clouds in the sky thickened, and heavy drops of rain were released from them. She sighed, and trudged up to her room. She unlocked her iPod and stuck the headphones in her ears, deciding to play soft, melancholy music... Wreck of the Day, by Anna Nalick. That would do...
She pulled out her assignments and began to work at them... ugh... any form of mathematics made her brain hurt. At least the rain and the music was distraction enough... ----------- Andrew noticed how he was inconspicuous by the idiotic humans and smirked to himself. His ashes were tossed, and he approached the barely-vampire girl. He wondered how he would get her attention. Anything he did, if she started moving forcefully, or if a random person bleeding floated toward her, he would be detected, and wind up an unfortunate and foolish T.V. that actually got caught by the law...

| The back of Charlotte's neck prickled, as she felt herself being watched by someone. Turning slowly, she saw the outline of someone in the rain. It wasn't human, because there was no body to go with that outline, so it had to be a vampire... a traditional vampire.
"What do you want?" She whispered, even though she had a pretty good idea of what they wanted. Here she was, an M.V., the most despicable thing ever to a T.V., and she was practically alone, partially hidden by the thick rain.
It was odd, how perfect this setting seemed. Here Charlotte stood, facing a vampire (though she couldn't see him too well) on a dark, cloudy night. It was just so... cliche... so Hollywood.

| Andrew glared at her, though he knew she couldn't see him clearly. He was glad that she looked a little blurrier in the rain. But that was only temporary. Before it had started, she was practically as visible as a human, or at least in his views. Her clothes were so casual, so... disgustingly human.
He glanced around, checking to see if there were any onlookers to the vampire outline and the blurry vampire in the rain... none. People were rushing through the town now, everything in fast-forward, trying to run their errands in the rain they so much wanted to avoid. Other hardly-vampires even seemed not to be paying attention. Not many Traditionalists were out at this hour, and if they were, he wouldn't have anything to worry about...
He questioned whether he should reveal his identity to Charlotte.
No, that would be completely illogical... she can't see me right now... I should take advantage of that.
She'd ought to be weaker if all she'd been living on was "safely" removed animal blood or those repulsive blood substitutes. But what exactly would he do now?
Andrew came to the side of her that wasn't facing the street or the rest of the sidewalk, to achieve less visibility to humans and other M.V's. He grasped her hand, tighter than necessary. If something happened to her, it wouldn't matter. She was practically nothing to him, but he wouldn't tolerate it if she made him a failure. It was either she turned out the right way, or she got treated like the human she ever-so-wanted to be.
"You must come with me," he whispered, so as to not reveal his actual voice. "I have some very urgent business about your future."
What a brilliant way to be inconspicous, Andrew... well done.
He could only hope this would work...

| Dave:
"Your coming home?!" Dave was freaking out. Literally. He hadn't been this excited since he first got his truck to work. Kimi was coming home after five months of bieng away. FIVE MONTHS. "Dave? Da-aaave? Dave?" Kimi's voice was small coming from dave's cell phone. "What?"Dave said, remembering the phone call. "I was saying, meet me in front of my house at 9:00. My plane gets in at 7:30. I'll be back and ready by then.", Kimi said,"I have a surprise for you." "I have one for you too." Dave said, thinking. What would be a good surprise for her? he thought. Then Dave had a brain wave. A good one. He hung up his phone. He got in his truck and started tword the jewelery store.
Kimi:
Kimi hung up the phone. Her plane took off in 20 minutes. She slowly walked down to her teminal. They would wait for her. Its not like she could walk any faster with this weight.....

| ((Oh so mysterious, especially when it was written right into the plot. XD )) Danielle sighed, and closed her books. She'd finished most of her homework, but the rest seemed to be too much tonight. She didn't even feel like studying now... it was like Tommy with his inconsistent studying schedule. She smiled softly at the thought of him, but she knew she could have ruined their friendship for a while... but he would forgive her... he was her best friend. He would, wouldn't he? Regardless... Danielle turned off her iPod now, regretting that she'd listened to the dismal song on repeat for almost an hour. She headed toward the door, ducking under her umbrella, sliding into the driver's seat of her car. It was 6:00 PM. It was time to head to work... and see Dave. She'd lent him so money the other night, and she wondered what he was getting with it. Hmm... he said he'd meet her at the Cafe at 6:20. She hoped that he'd be there. The thought of Dave made her feel a little better, even with the odd feeling she had about him. She wasn't looking forward to his girlfriend coming back, but she'd get to spend this time with him... | |

| Leonardo stepped outside, melting into invisibility, or he would have, if the outline of his body was not soaking wet. One could not see it, but Leonardo glared forwards down the street. his eyes piercing like knives. Wait how can I pierce anything with my eyes. They are both rounded, and nobody can see me, furthermore- This spurred an internal rant, and one too long and too unimportant for me to write. He continued to glare out despite his internal confusion. He walked for several minutes. Inhaling and smelling the blood of passers by. He hadn't done this for a while, so he was out of practice, unlike when he could smell blood born diseases a mile away. But mainly STDs, he liked sniffing out STDs and then laughing about them. This then got him to thinking about some of the funny names there were for STDs. But still continued to smell the oh so succulent smelling blood. He did miss it. The hunt, sucking the blood out of a living human. That's not something he could stop himself from wanting, but living for a thousand years gave him remarkable self control, the fact that he would miss his ass once he was dead for going out of line more than he currently missed blood. That, and the STDs thing kept his mind occupied enough to not care. He was playing around with the word herpes, when he noticed something odd. He smelt it before he saw it. One MV, one TV, current blood flow suggests that their hands are fused together, or that the TV is gripping the MV's hand. Leonardo then looked in that direction. As he thought a watery outline was grabbing an MV girls hand, a little too tightly for it to be a friendly encounter. "It's not my problem." he muttered and walked on, on the opposite side of the street. He may work for the cops now, but that didn't mean he was one of them. He would only do things for them if he knew they would kill him if he didn't. | |

| ((Yup. Still accepting. No problem.)) Andrew noted a blurry outline of someone across the street... the shadowy character didn't seem to be a TV, nor an MV, by whatever blood he sensed was in him. Though he appeared to be more of a Traditionalist than none... he had a very suspicious aura, however. He needed to get her out of this place of clear view. Especially before the night sky overthrew the day's behind the clouds. ------ Danielle drove around a little aimlessly, wanting to kill a little time so she wouldn't look like a total dork coming to work an hour early... she should have brought her books. Through the rain-clouded windshield, she noticed a very familiar truck parked at a jewelry store. She gasped slightly to herself, and pulled over in front of it. So that's why Dave needed so much money yesterday...She wondered what he was getting... she had hopes that something was for her, but she knew that it was probably for his girlfriend... she was, after all, coming home tommorrow. Danielle obviously wasn't aware of her arrival for later that evening. The car continued down the street as Danielle contemplated what Dave was buying. She sighed, wistfully. His girlfriend didn't know how lucky she was... --- Tommy rode the bus into town, so as to not be caught by Danielle on his way in. He wanted to make sure she was safe tonight. It just didn't seem like one of those rare "good" nights in their dangerous city. He didn't want her to be one of the missing people in the morning who may not ever be discovered because of her killer's clever disposal, or worse, one who was actually found. He dismissed what she had earlier said. He forgave her... and she wanted him to stay out her vampire business, but he couldn't. | |

| James was sitting in the cafe that was to be the rendezvous point, sipping black coffee out of a foam cup. He had been debriefed on the mission via phone about 2 hours earlier.
**flashback** The Chief had called the phone in the apartment. Nothing really new, but still should be a bit of a challenge, especially with his grudging new assistant.
"What's up?" Leonore asked as she grabbed a BludPak from the refrigerator.
"Nest of TVs. Also, a chance to meet my new charge." James replied, grabbing a CellsPlus (the equivalent of an energy drink for vampires).
"Fun." She drawled. She then sat on Stat and stole the remote muttering about how they had no taste when it came to television. **/flashback**
James smiled into his coffee and glanced out the window.

| Audria glanced up as the bell to end the day of school sounded around the building. She closed the thick paperback she had been reading, having finished her daily schoolwork early that day. She didn't bother putting it into her bag, slinging the navy blue backpack over one shoulder before leaving the classroom to the cold steel of the lockers. The vampire was feeling particularly quiet today, she felt detached, like she was watching her life happen from afar. She mentally shook her head clear of it's fogginess, figuring it was probably just exhaustion finally claiming her that week.
She set a couple of text books in her locker, flicking it shut and walking her way through the halls. The school had been emptying out at a fast pace while she hadn't bothered with the rush much. Audria always took her time leaving school, it was really all she had. As a Senior this year, she would be leaving it the next. It gave a slight feeling of loss, but she ignored it, stepping out into the rain and making her way through it without giving it a second thought.
Audria had always loved the rain. For two reasons, mainly. For one, it was just magnificent in itself. But most importantly, it always had an affect on scents. And in her case, made it much easier to ignore the pulse she could just hear in all the Humans surrounding her. Not that she didn't feel that usual impulse to drag one of them into a shadowed area, but it still made the instinctual act easier to resist.

| Charlotte looked around to see if anyone was paying attention; no one was. It would be hard to see anyone in this rain. Not that it mattered, she didn't want anyone's blood on her hands. Not human blood, not vampire blood. This was something she was going to handle on her own, no matter what it cost her.
She had lost her focus on the other vampire's outline enough that she didn't see where he had moved to. Or heard, for that matter, so it came as a huge surprise when the invisible hand grasped hers. The grip was strong enough that she couldn't pull her hand away no matter how she tugged. Even with the rain slicking her hand, she couldn't pull it free.
"You must come with me. I have some very urgent business about your future."
Charlotte listened carefully to see if she could recognize the voice, but she couldn't. It wasn't any voice that she even remotely recalled ever hearing.
There goes using their voice to figure out who they are...
"How do you know what's in my future?" she asked, not bothering to keep the skepticism out of her voice. ----- Garrett sighed. This was a slooow night for the hotel, even though a few people had ducked in momentarily to dry off from the rain.
He glanced at the clock down in the hallway. One more torturous hour, unless his boss was feeling either evil, or unusually kind. He assumed it would be the evil mood, but hopefully he would get out of there before his boss came out.

| "I know a lot about your future," Andrew replied, his voice still a whisper so she would not recognize it. "Come with me and you'll find out."
I know, because I'm still determining whether you have one or not...
He stared at her, hoping she would follow. He was prepared to use force, but he wanted it to be more hidden, so that others still wouldn't figure him out. The vampire across the street gave him a very bad feeling.
Nighttime was coming soon, and Andrew was also beginning to feel a slight bit thirsty... ---- Danielle was anxious for Dave to meet her at the cafe, her mind going through all the possibilities of his truck being at the jewelry store. She continued driving, having now hit downtown. --- Tommy walked toward a hotel, his wallet on hand. He just needed to make sure that Danielle made it home safely. His bag was packed for a night; with a coupe of... extras. Things that would be detected on a metal detector if he were in an airport... which he fortunately was not.
The hotel faced the cafe, right across the street. He could get a room with a window that viewed it... his father was out for work, and so this was an ideal time to be out here.
You are such a stalker... go home... you're acting just like...
No, no he wasn't. Those creatures stalked and then killed people who most likely did nothing wrong to them...

| Leonardo now decided that walking was quite boring, and that if he got any wetter then people would notice him. Obviously spotting as a TV would mean trouble for him. This went along with him singing the duck tales theme. "Life is like a hurricane, here in Duck berg." He quickly began to run through the rain, his feet making large splashes upon contact with puddles. Locating, a low two story building the rain bounced off his body, but his hat kept the rain off his face, so he could see pretty well, that and he had extremely good vision to begin with. "Racecars, lasers, airplanes, it's a duck blur." he continued, and bounded from the center of a rather large puddle by the building, and sent up spray of water, then having jumped partway up the building, he gripped at the wet wall, and easily climbed the rest of the way up. He looked in the direction of the Cafe. "I wonder who the tastiest is, Looey Dooey or Gooey?" he asked himself, before running towards the opposite end of the roof, and jumped to another, higher roof top. He continued this pattern, of jumping from building to building towards the cafe. | |

| Against her better judgment, Charlotte nodded. "I'll go." What could she say? Sometimes she was just curious... morbidly so, though, at times.
It was unnerving, feeling his gaze so intensely upon her, though she couldn't see it. It was almost like seeing eyes with no body to them, but... there weren't even eyes... just an outline of some vampire that may or may not want to kill her.
"Can I have my hand back?" Charlotte asked quietly. It made her feel odd to have an invisible force holding it so tightly.
She glanced up for a moment, looking at the sky, darkening even more with nighttime coming. It always gave her a bit of a thrill from the old days to see the sky like this. To see daylight-- the humans time of dominance--fade into darkness. Darkness where the vampires ruled.
No! Stop it Charlotte! Those days are long behind you. Just forget about it. ----- Garrett's boss [s]was in an evil mood[/s] decided that since the night was so slow, that only two of the employees would have to stay past their scheduled shifts. Garrett and a miserable co-worker and classmate were chosen to stay.
"This sucks! Why should we have to stay?" He was ranting to his co-worker, who shrugged and pulled out a book to read until someone either walked in, or someone needed assistance with something.
Now why didn't I think of bringing a book with me? After all the time I've worked here, I've never thought about it!
And now he just felt stupid. Until someone walked in, that is.
"Hi. Welcome to ***** Hotel. How may I help you?" he asked, hardly bothering with fake enthusiasm.

| Andrew smirked to himself. He remembered that morbid curiosity of hers. Seeing the way she glanced at the night sky approaching made him believe that there may be hope for her yet in the world of Traditionalist Vampires. But a change in her expression made him think otherwise... and how the visibility would clear up very soon.
"Alright. Follow me," he whispered, cautiously letting ago, and rushing back to his building at a speed only a vampire could. It also helped to keep him hidden now. ---- "Hey. Um... I'd like a room. One bed, I guess. But maybe one that looks out on the city, if possible?" Tommy filled into the dismal and disinterested greeter.
((I'm going to assume he goes behind the check-in counter as well... just 'cuz...))
