Aftermath: Life on a scarred planet

The year is twenty-seven hundred forty-nine. It has been four hundred years since the last world war. Since what could have been the end of Humanity and Earth itself. Only 00.00012% survived the war; the man-made diseases, the radiation, and the chaos that happened when the citizens realized what had happened. One million two hundred thirty-three thousand souls left to keep going on with their miserable lives. They did what human beings do best of course. They survived and made sure that their species continued to live on.
But still, the Human Race is dying. Over the course of the next four hundred years after the war, populations decreased, humans continued to die faster then they could be replaced.

The world is no longer a safe place. Most people never stay in one place for long; instead simply traveling in groups from one area to the next. Of course, there are a few cities. A few places fit for human survival. But at this point they're impossible to get into, the citizens inside not willing to risk their lives and the lives of their children just to help a lost soul.

Twenty-seven years ago, a new variable made themselves known, making life even harder for humans everywhere. Cyborgs, human-like robots that had been invented before the final war, came from out of the mountains and ruins. They looked human, sounded human, bled like humans... But unlike Humans they weren't scared of death, for whatever reason. And they knew how to work together.

The largest human city in existence at the time(holding one hundred fifty-six thousand people) was destroyed in three days by the cyborgs. Of course a few hundred people escaped. and they spread the news to the rest of the world as quickly as possible. But that didn't change much. Once again, life would never be the same. People could no longer trust other people. Especially considering that there was no way of telling the cyborgs apart from the humans.

It was like another war had started all over again.

Hello, welcome to the RP; Aftermath.

This RP is about a close Nomadic group who try and survive the challenges that life brings them every day. Everyone in the group has an important role in the group. If they were useless, they would be kicked out and left in the wilderness.

Rules

1) No God Modding or Power Playing.

2) No Mary-Sues. Your character should be realistic and have a few flaws. They cannot be the best at everything, they cannot be perfect and without any character flaws.

3) This RP is rated M.

4) Please avoid having graphic sex or violence in the RP. It is just really pointless. Of course graphic violence can and likely will happen, just don't describe it in intricate detail.

5) Do not start fights with other posters. That can be done in PM.

6) I can change or add to these rules at any time.

1) Pay some attention before you post. Try to avoid errors in your grammar and spelling. One-liners are also discouraged, though you will not be kicked out of the RP if you do use them.

2) If you have any questions just ask them. Do not PM to me because others might want the answers as well. Excluding personal questions about your character of course.

3) Remember that this group has been together for at least months, possibly years.

Appearance: Lugh. 5' 8" 183 lbs. He has three bullet wound scars in his upper left thigh, and the left side of his stomach.
Personality: Lugh is polite and good-humored, though he can be extremely protective of the people that he cares about. At times he can be condescending, inconsiderate and violent. He is religious.
Skillset and/or Education: Lugh is the groups sniper and lookout. He has extremely good vision. His education is average. He knows how to raise cattle.
History: Lugh was born in a small town in what used to be Southern Africa. He had two younger Sisters, and both of his Parents were alive until Lugh turned nineteen. His village was attacked out of the blue by a group of raiders, and his entire family was killed in the slaughtering that occurred afterward. Lugh escaped along with seven other people from the village. The other seven people decided to try and start up another village and continue on in life, but Lugh simply couldn't.

He went off on his own for a few years, traveling all the way to the forests of central Europe. When he was twenty-three years old, Lugh was found by a group of travelers. He was let into the group and over the next few months they became like his new family. Lugh has been with them since.

Appearance: Scout. 5' 5" 119 lbs. Her lower stomach is heavily scarred by burns and blade marks.
Personality: Scout is sarcastic and always looking for a good time. Even though she is a somewhat hyper optimist, Scout still knows when to calm down, and she enjoys meditating to keep herself stable. Though at times she can be manipulative, unforgiving, and full of herself.
Skillset and Education: Scout had a limited education. She is flexible, fit, quick, and has a good amount of stamina. Like her name implies, Scout is the scout of the group.
History: Scout was born into a traveling Caravan, so she never had the education and stability that other kids might have had. When she was sixteen the Caravan was attacked by a group of cyborgs. Everyone was killed except for her, and Scout herself was injured horribly from the waist down. She was stuck in the same place for four days before eventually being found by another group of Travelers. They took her in and nursed her back to health. Scouts been with the group ever since.

Personality: To be honest, Eamon is a cheerful pyromaniac. His most obvious interests seem to be his "art", his explosives, and survival, which he admits sometimes contradict each other. Other than that, he loves to joke and knows quite a few card games. Oh, and the general consensus is that he's insane.
Skillset and Education: Above-average education; Eamon knows a lot about construction and even more about explosives.
History: Eamon grew up in a moderately-sized city, protected by its walls from bandits, cyborgs, and other dangers that roamed the world. His father was a demolition expert, in charge of the city's explosive weapons and the demolition of old buildings to make room for newer, more practical ones.
When he was about 18 years old, his town was attacked by cyborgs. Neither explosives, bullets, or its walls saved them and Eamon's father forced him to run out a secret entrance near the back of the town. A few days later, he was found by a group of Travelers and had been with them sense.
Other: Carries around grenades, a bazooka, and a variety of other explosives. He also has a gun that fires "mini-bombs" since Lugh disliked his more over-the-top pieces of "art".

Appearance: Stands about 5’11 and weights somewhere between 175 pounds. He’s very muscular and is tan. Long black hair and dark blue eyes. Overall, he has normal jeans, a pair of Chucks and red sweater.
Personality: Marcus is quiet but social. He can be humorous from time to time and enjoys intellectual conversations that aren’t completely useless, dumb or just plain stupid.
Skill set and Education: Marcus is an excellent cook with a gift for improvisation and doing a lot with little. At the age of 8 or so he was started being schooled in the culinary arts by none other than his mom who was what you might call a chef. She had her own little restaurant on a town. His father was part of the local militia who died defending his city from a cyborg attack. And even though he father did try to teach him some military techniques, weapons, tactics and behavior, Marcus always leaned towards his mother’s teachings.
History: Marcus lived in one of the remaining cities. Those cities where supposed to be secured, however, it was proven to be otherwise when it got invaded by the cyborgs who massacred everyone in their path and destroyed the town. In this attack, his father died. He escaped along with his mother. At the age of 18, his mom died of a rare disease. From that point on Marcus jumped from group to group, and sometimes even traveling by himself. Just recently, he stumbled upon a group who took him in. His usefulness is obvious. He’s a cook. But besides being a simple cook, thanks to his father, he has some decent fighting ability and his quite skilled with the various knives he wields.

Personality:rebellious but smart, alert, careful, strategic, goal oriented. She can be fun loving and sarcastic and mischievous. She enjoys playing tricks on people or testing traps. She is also adventurous so when an adventure calls she is already to go. She is also tough but can sometimes be selfish, ignorant and tends to rather work alone. She usually trusts no one unless she has spent along time with that person.

Skillset and Education: great grades in certain sciences, mainly health science and first aid,she is also good at undercover work as she was a thief before she joined the group and has a brief knowledge of some useful weaponry.

History: Valerie was born to a rich family, both of her parents doctors. They kind of pressured her to become a doctor like them and seldomly let her out of the house except for school. Her parents thought it would seclude her from the evil in the world.

Valerie was an apprentice of a well known medic, who used to work at her school. He taught her well, teaching her about first aid, and rescue breathing and the likes. She was his apprentice for four years, until she ran away from her parents, tired of the seclusion and her boring life.

She did some careful travelling and got some lessons of martial arts by a skilled master named Syaoyan. She chose to learn martial arts for self defense, since she started travelling on her own. She left him after her training and never heard from him since then. Valerie trained herself to become a thief afterwards, since she was running low on her life savings and didn't want go to work, which she believed would bring her back to living a normal, boring, unadventurous life.

She decided to go back to her home one time, to check in on her parents. While telling her parents about what she had done the past few years(minus the thief part) cyborgs raided there house. She fought some, but she couldn't hold much longer so she hid in a secret wall her parents had that could keep out tracking radars. When she came out, the raid was over and her parents were dead. She managed to make it out of the city, with a few cuts and bruises. Now she's travelling with a group with intent on surviving.

Other: She has two gun holsters, one on each thigh, and has some bag pouch or whatever you call them, on her belt which carry darts, lock pickers, and small throwing knives.

Personality: Annis is a really charismatic woman, and often uses it to her advantage. Though she is far from being a manipulative bastard, and is actually quite the nice person. She tries her best to remain calm, even in aggravating situations, though can be angered greatly. She does care about the men and women that live with her, though, and sometimes-even acts as the group’s ‘mom’ when need be.
Skillset and Education: Decent education and a very charming person. Not too bad with a gun either, of course.
History: Annis lived a relatively normal life, living in one of the few successful cities the remnants of humanity had managed to rebuild. When the cyborgs appeared, though, her city was one of the first hit in their first wave of attacks. Annis managed to escape with her aunt and a few hundred other survivors, but everyone else was killed in the assault by the killer machines. Annis, her aunt, and around a dozen survivors decided to stick together and formed their own group as they traveled across the land. When Annis turned twenty-two she decided to leave her aunt and the group, and set off on her own. After a few years of drifting from area to area, staying with different groups for a little while, Annis eventually started her own survival group, though by accident.

Years have passed since then, and people have come and left her group, through various tragedies or other reasons. Though Annis still perseveres. She is determined to keep her people alive, no matter what the cost.

((Sorry for the long wait, but we can now begin.)
The sound of ocean water lurked everywhere around as Lugh sat at the edge of camp. He could hear laughter from just a couple of yards away, the loud shrieks of Scout spreading about the camp as she heard something that was probably hilarious.

Lugh didn't mind being away from the group at this point in time. It was necessary that he keep watch. And besides, with the night sky, the calming ocean breeze, and his small bible, Lugh had all the company he could want. It was perfect. It was calming. It was life.

Eamon grinned a bit as he sat a little ways away from the campfire; it seemed like his team was nervous when he made explosives near any sort of heat source so he promised to be "safe" about it. Of course, the general concept of safety was different than Eamon's, as evident from the grenade he was making, which had about as much old-fashioned gunpowder and "special" ingredients stuffed in a soda can as possible.

"Hey, anyone feel like some fireworks?" he asked the others with a manic grin.

Scout

Scout chuckled to herself as she shook her head. She was used to Eamon's wicked sense of humor and pyro attitude by now, as no doubt the others were as well. "I swear if you repeat what happened in Gypt and blow up the camp again Eamon... Annis will drown you. She will." Scout replied teasingly as she leaned against a large box of supplies sitting behind her.

She had been enjoying herself this past week. Scout hadn't had much work to do, as there was nothing to explore. The group was crossing a large and man-made (Though she didn't realize that it was.) land bridge that went across the Atlantic ocean.

Eamon laughed, grinning at Scout innocently, "Hey, she told me that we needed bigger explosives so I had to experiment. Who could have predicted that I'd accidentally drop one of them into the campfire?!"
