Dawn of a New Prince (Star Wars/Avatar Crossover)

"Yeah, okay," Sokka told her with a frown. He rubbed his eyes. Things seemed to blur for a moment, but he was still blind. He gripped his blaster pistol as he stood up.

((Where's Katara, Appa, and Aang again?))

Azula

Azula stood up slowly, gasping for breath as she tried to recover from the blast the lightning and Zuko's forcebending had created. Strands of hair hanged around Azula's face, her top knot having come undone.

Azula shook in pain as she began to feel overwhelmed by her own emotions, and the burns created by her lightning bending gone awry. After she gritted her teeth, Azula looked up and saw that Zuko was in a temporary deadlock with Mara.

Azula took in a deep breath once again, before quickly rushing her hands forward and creating a massive blast of fire headed for Zuko, and Mara, on the other side of the room.

Lilith

Lilith nodded at Erv's orders, relieved that they only had to use stun for now. The fact that they would be questioned by Vader was an unpleasant thought, but Lilith tried to ignore it as she ran down a small hill so she could behind a small pile of rubble.

She drew in a tight breath. The Dai Li agents were fanning out for the moment, but she knew they would return. She ground her feet into the turf; it helped her sight a little, but most of her world was still fuzzier than she liked.

"Can you see?" she asked Sokka.

Sokka rubbed his eyes quickly, squinting a little. He nodded slowly, "Just a few blurry figures. At least, I can tell the difference between them and you."

(Magus has something planned for them or something)

((Aang is meditating in the center of the temple to fully gain mastery of the Avatar State. Katara and the Guru will be his last line of defense, should Toph and Sokka fall. I have no idea where Appa is.))

"Well, that's good," said Toph, smiling. "Maybe between the two of us, we can keep them back."

It also meant Sokka had not lost his sight forever. He would be able to see again.

Sokka couldn't help but smile back, "Definitely. We're awesome like that."

With that said, he took aim with his blaster pistol and fired at the Dai Li.

The blaster fire struck one of the agents. He fell back with a maddening cry and did not get back up, preferring to lay on the ground and moan.

Toph smacked another Dai Li agent into the wall once he dared get too close to their position. He rebounded off the rock wall and slammed into another one of his companions, who had been attempting to catch them with his stone-gloves.

All as planned, too. Her sight was finally back.

Erv frowned, cursing when he saw that the two kids were back on their feet. He threw a few more stun grenades and took aim with his blaster pistol before firing. He would see that the two kids received no leniency for the men they've killed.

Toph felt small, concussive explosions rock across her field of vision. Her sight went swampy, but only for a few seconds after each blast. They were nowhere near as strong as the explosive from before, though she thought they sounded a lot like the one that had blinded Sokka.

She hoped he had been covered.

She began dragging up another wall of stone and dirt, so they could have some sort of defense to work with. A strange sound rocked through the air, and something hard and hot snapped her in the shoulder.

Toph gasped and stumbled back. She fell and could not get back up, no matter how hard she tried. Her body simply would not respond.

Sokka ducked behind the wall, grateful that none of the, whatever those were, were thrown over it. His eyes widened, however, when he saw Toph get hit. Knowing full well how much damage a blaster pistol could cause, he ran over to her.

"Toph! Are you okay?" he asked, looking for any holes in her body.

It was hard to speak, but she was able to grind out a few words at a time. "Can't... move...." She kept trying, though, but her limps felt too heavy. "Like back in... the city... before... we got caught... that first... time..."

"At least it's only temporary," he told her in relief, poking out and firing another round of blaster bolts at random before turning back to Toph.

Quickly, he lifted her up and took her inside the Temple. He called out, "Katara! You need to look at Toph!"

Katara stood at an intersection of the hallway. She and the Guru were the last defensive line for Aang, though she had nearly driven herself crazy listening to the sounds of battle outside the temple. She still heard Sokka easily enough.

"Over here!" she shouted.

Once he had arrived, she quickly looked at Toph. She did not see any sign of a wound or injury, such as blood, but Toph was obviously not well. She was paler than usual and sweating, and her body twitched ever so often. But other than that, she did not move at all.

She tried using water to soothe the girl's muscles and redirect her chi. It was not terribly difficult work; it was one of the first lessons she had learned from Yagoda in the Northern Water Tribe.

Toph released a long, slow breath.

Sokka nodded, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw that Toph was better. He told her, "Rest for a little. I'll be out there keeping the Dai Li and Vader's allies back."

With that said, he returned to his place on the wall, shooting quickly as the Dai Li neared too close to comfort, one even knocking the breath out of him with an earth glove.

((Mind slowing things down for a moment? I'm a little busy and I'll try to post shortly, but I don't want to come back to this RP again to see too many posts for me to read.))

Katara had Toph demonstrate that she could move her arm and legs before she let the younger girl stand. She still watched her worriedly.

"You really should do as he asked, you know. You're stiff, and you need a chance to--"

"I'm not leaving Sokka out there alone," said Toph. She offered Katara a smile. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. We both will."

She ran back to where she and Sokka held the line. He had just been knocked down by an agent's rock glove. She sensed another agent move, and knew another glove could not be far behind.

So she stepped forward and brought up her arm, coming to a halt in front of Sokka as she did so. The glove fell apart. Toph knocked the agent back with a pillar to the gut.

Darth Vader

Vader tossed away another one of Iroh's fireballs, and sent the last one back towards the elderly man. He focused again on Zareal and sent a series of quick jabs at the Jedi's way, hoping to ware down his defenses.

Mara Jade

"My master is Emperor Palpatine, and I have sworn to serve him until the end of my life. I will not let you or the traitorous Vader threaten my master!" Mara shouted. She jumped back as the massive ball of fire shot towards her and Helios. The Hand cursed at the girl's foolishness. Was she trying to kill her too?! Azula had to be more careful with her aim, otherwise Mara wouldn't hesitate to put the girl out of the fight.

Fi

Fi moved in with the other Dai Li and Long Feng as the two children retreated some. He hid behind another piece of rubble and fired his rifle as the two began their defense again. The clone quickly rummaged through his bag and found another frag grenade. The commander had said to take the children alive, but at this point they were becoming far more trouble than they were worth. Fi himself did not like the idea of fighting or murdering children, but this was a war, of a sort. Besides, if he was lucky, the shrapnel might only wound them and keep them alive, instead of killing them outright.

So the clone soldier activated the grenade and threw it towards Toph and Sokka.

Zareal/Iroh

Zareal backstepped from each jab, barely missing each. Iroh dissappated the fireball sent back at him and sent fire toward Vader's feet, and Zareal took the opportunity to slash at the Sith Lord's helmet.

Helios

The Apprentice dodged out of the way of the fireball. Azula is being a hinderence to both of us, I don't know whether that's a good thing or not, he thought, but didn't think about it much more, instead opting to lift and throw a piece of rubble at his sister. "I'm afraid, little girl, you can't stop us," he said in his most mocking tone to Mara.

"Thanks Toph," Sokka told her with a grin as he prepared to fie another flurry of blaster bolts. His eyes widened at the sight of a grenade. He didn't know what it was, but it wasn't good.

"Toph! Look out!" Sokka cried, tackling her to the ground as it exploded. He cried out as he felt shrapnel dig into his back.

"Sokka!"

Fear raced through her like lightning the second she had heard him cry out in pain. It electrified her limbs and snapped across her brain. She slapped her palm against the ground, and a wall of stone and earth rose up between them and their attackers.

"Sokka!" she shouted again.

Oh no, oh no, oh no...

Sokka stood up and tried to grin reassuringly at Toph, "Don't worry... I'm fine. They don't feel that deep."

He grimaced a little in pain. What was that thing?

Toph scrambled out from under him. She grabbed his arm and wrapped it around her shoulder.

"We have to get you deeper into the temple. You're hurt..."
