Dawn of a New Prince (Star Wars/Avatar Crossover)

Lilith

"....Do you know why?" Lilith asked as she sat up on her bunk, leaning towards Fi.

Mai

"Yeah well, Ty's full of surprises." Mai commented before she opened the door.

Helios

After finding an agent who wasn't already assigned to something and sending him to the rendevous point, Helios wondered how the meeting would go. He had realized that though Mai was important to him, he would have to leave her behind. He had a grand destiny, and he didn't need distractions. That aside, she was also parnters, or so he thought, with a bounty hunte, and that would take them all over, making it hard for anything to work. Perhaps it was for the best that they seemed to be drifting away even as they found each other.

Helios would have continued thinking like this if he hadn't passed a room and felt some disturbance. Using a key to the cells he had, he opened the door and found an unconcious Dai Li agent. Eyes wide, he cursed and ran, trying to find Vader or at least another agent. Someone had escaped, maybe more, but if they released the other prisoners and escaped all their efforts would be for nothing.

Fi

"She gave no reason as she left, but I can figure why. She wanted me to live with the guilt of surviving, let it eat me up inside. Or something like that." Fi guessed, scowling some.

Mara

Mara weakly pushed at Zareal, trying to say that she did not need his help. But her words of protest quickly died out as Zareal healed her. Mara struggled for a few moments but quickly submitted. Mara felt the fog inside of her mind quickly evaporate with the help of the Jedi.

Once he was done, the Emperor's Hand slowly pushed herself up. She used a wall for support and stood up.

"....Thank you." Mara finally said.

Darth Vader

"Is something wrong, Apprentice?" Vader asked as he rounded the corner, nearly colliding with his student. Thankfully a flash of warning from the Force prevented that.

Zahanna

Zahanna walked with Mai and Ty Lee to the area where the Dai Li agent was waiting for them. Once they stood around him, the earthbender took them underground and began to travel to the underground base.

Zareal

"You're welcome," Zareal said, and stood up. "The kids have made it out, hopefully they'll be getting Avatar Aang out if they haven't met Vader or his apprentice. We need to meet up with them and escape from here."

Helios

"Prisoners... escaped..." Helios said, not because he was overly winded, but from the shock of nearly crashing. "I only know one for sure, though they may have let more out by now."

((Oh, and Katara/Sokka/Toph can continue rescuing Aang.))

Darth Vader

"Find a Dai Li agent, and alert them. I will go secure the Avatar." Vader quickly said.

Mara

"Good. Where are...our weapons?" Mara asked, looking around for her lightsaber. Vader had taken it, no doubt, maybe even had it on his person. That would make things even more difficult.

Helios

"I'm on it," Helios said and turned away, now trying to sense the nearest Dai Li. After a few minutes he found one. "The prisoners are escaping, every agent is to be on alert and everyone's identity verified," he said. "They're likely dressed up in robes. Find them, and detain them."

Zareal

"Most likely with Vader. We don't have time to search for them either. I don't know how much time we have until they discover us," Zareal said. "We'll have to rely on our abilities in the force against the agents, but we must avoid Vader and his apprentice."

With the initial wave of Dai Li agents down for the count, Toph took advantage of the brief peace and quite to get a lock on Aang. She found him fairly quickly, despite her exhaustion.

"He's in the far cell," she said, racing down the corridor to the cell in question. "And we better hurry. I can feel a lot of movement around us."

"Then let's get him out of here. Start bending a tunnel for us. We can't afford another fight," Sokka told Toph, instinctively taking the role of leader, though he didn't realize it at the time. He relieved one of the agents of their keys and opened Aang's cell.

"Come on, Aang! We got to get out of here!" he told him.

While Katara and Sokka tended to Aang, Toph concentrated on creating a tunnel. She planted her feet and drew in a breath. She brought up her arm, and then she slammed her hand down. Her palm opened at the last second.

The floor shook, ever so slightly, and a hole crumpled through into darkness.

Lilith

"...Fi, I'm really sorry to hear that."

Mai

"So this is what it's like to be an earthbender then.... It's a lot more boring then I thought it would be." Mai commented as they plunged through the Earth.

"You think everything's boring, Mai!" Ty Lee chastised as she watched one of the Dai Li agents, winking at him, "Hey. You're kind of cute."

Amazingly enough, she even had power over emotionless earthbending agents, causing him to blush and the ride to become a little bumpier.

Fi

"It's nothing. It's been years since then, and I've learned to get over it." Fi assured.

General Narrative

The Dai Li agent continued to take them through the earth, despite Ty Lee's distraction. They arrived at the Dai Li base. Agents went every which way, in a flurry of activity. One agent left the throng of Dai Li and approached Zahanna, Mai, and Ty Lee.

"I am sorry to report, but there is now a complication in the deal Vader was going to set up." he said.

Mara

"Agreed. Though if we worked together, it might be possible that we could take the boy. Where to?" Mara asked.

Aang

Aang slowly returned to the world of consciousness, blinking his eyes slowly and in a dazed manner. His gaze rested on the girl before him.

"Katara....?" Aang asked in a confused and dazed tone.

((Hey Alec, mind posting with Azula finding Iroh?))

"Aang!"

Katara rushed into the cell and wrapped her arms around Aang. He sounded dazed, but she took comfort in the fact that he was not more seriously injured.

"I'm so glad you're okay..."

"Yeah, yeah, that's great. Can we get going already?" shouted Toph.

Zareal

"I'm trying to sense them," Zareal said. "The Force seems to be pointing me in this direction, let's be off." He began to walk quickly in the direction he felt was right.

Helios

Helios walked through the halls quickly, looking for the prisoners, and keeping an eye on every agent he came to. He examined each closely before continuing.

"Yeah. We need to get him out of here!" Sokka agreed, heading for the tunnel that Toph had already dug. He looked at her maimed arm. They had already suffered too much to be captured again. He wouldn't allow it. He couldn't let Toph get hurt again.

"They're right, Aang," said Katara. She firmly but gently helped him stand, letting him lean on her as support. "We don't have much time. We have to go."

"Right now would be nice," said Toph, beginning to get more than a little antsy. She could feel the entire base buzzing like a disturbed scorpion-bee nest. It was not a pleasant sensation.

And in that mess, she knew he would be coming.

Mai

"Of course there is...." Mai muttered in reply before leaning against the wall behind her. Zahanna could handle this mess.

Azula/Anwar

Azula walked down the streets, a deranged look in her eyes. She had searched and searched for Ty lee, yet the Circus Girl was nowhere to be found. So Azula had done the next logical thing, and continued towards Uncle's Tea Shop like she had planned. It was a rather large place, Azula admitted as she walked into the shop. Though it was messed up for some reason.

"Leave it up a Waterbender to wreck a Firebender's possessions." Azula commented as she looked at Anwar.

Iroh

Iroh stopped what he was doing as he heard Azula's voice. "I'm surprised to see you here," he said, turning around to face her. He was confused though, last he had seen Vader had fought her. What was her plan now?

Fi

"You're right. That event is something I'll have to live with all my leave. But I'll deal with it. Move on. I have to, if I want to live on and survive. Besides, my friends wouldn't want me to mope around because of their deaths. They'd want me to live my life to the fullest, no matter what." Fi said. He closed his eyes in thought for a few moments. After a few minutes of silence, he spoke again.

"I must...apologize for my behavior from before, Lilith."

Mara

Mara quickly went after Zareal. As they ran toward where they hoped their escaped allies were, they heard shouts from behind. Mara craned her head to see four Dai Li agents now pursuing them, shouting for more to follow.

Zahanna, Dai Li agent

"What's wrong?" Zahanna asked.

"The Jedi, along with the Avatar and the rest of his companions, have either escaped or will soon be busted out by their comrades. We are attempting to pursue and recapture them now." the agent reported.

Zahanna sighed at this news. "Well. I can't say I didn't see this coming. Nothing ever goes that easy. Well, it looks like you'll get the chance to use that blaster sooner than you thought, Mai."

Aang

"Right, we have to go now." Aang agreed, still a little dazed. He frowned as another thought came to him.

"What about Appa? Where's he? And where are Mara and Zareal?"

Mai

Mai pulled out the gun, a smirk on her face. "You think if we catch the Jedi ourselves, Vader will give us a good deal?" Mai asked as she looked up at Zahanna.

Lilith was caught off guard by the Clo-... Fi's apology. She bit her lip as she looked down at her shoes, looking back at her comrade after a few seconds. "It's fine. We both said and did things we'll regret."

Azula/Anwar

"Yeah, what do you want?" Anwar asked as he glared at Azula.

Azula feigned shock and offense at Anwar's question. "What, can't a Niece just come and visit her Uncle to see how his new shop is doing?"

Zareal/Helios

"Blast," Zareal said as the Dai Li agents were chasing them. He looked ahead and cursed, the Apprentice was coming down the hall. From the looks of it he had spotted them and he drew his lightsabers. "Quick, down this hall," Zareal shouted to Mara and fled down an adjoining hallway.

Iroh

"I suppose so," Iroh said. "If you were an ordinary niece. Now please tell me why you are here." He couldn't trust she was alone, though he doubted there was a troop of soldiers in the city, she could have a few quality benders with her in disguise.

Azula

"Oh Uncle. I'm only here because of my loyalty to the Fire Nation and Zuko." Azula replied, smirking afterward as she saw the Water Tribe Trash' reaction.

"The Fire Nation Prince is here?"

"The last things I saw before I got knocked out was Appa flying away," Sokka lied to the Avatar, feeling a little bad. He knew, however, that Aang wouldn't leave without the Flying Bison and, as much as Sokka himself loved Appa, his sister Toph, and Aang were still more important.

He gripped Toph's shoulder, trying to tell her not to say anything. Aang needed to escape.

He grinned at Aang, "He's probably circling wherever we are from above. I told you training him to do that was a good idea."

He paused for a moment, considering the others. He spoke, "They should be meeting us here. If they're not here soon, we have to leave without them. We can't save everyone."

((Appa was rendered unconscious and is still in the Dai Li base, AI.))
