Modern Day Ninja (Teen/Open/Accepting)

Ever since their rise in the East, ninjas have always been apart of the world. But back then, they were actual people who trained long and hard to be able to be the warriors we know today. They were a neutral group, serving only their own purpose, working for whoever paid them. They were masters at fighting, strategy, and many other skills. Some claimed they were even able to manipulate the elements or defy gravity.

But sadly their numbers began to dwindle as the world needed them less and less. Not wanting their craft to die three groups began to train children in secret. They spread all over the world, making sure that no matter what happened, ninjas would still exist.

During World War Two the ninjas were fighting their own battles. They all had learned different ways to practice their craft and disagreed on the others. They fought long and hard, but eventually they stopped. Most members from the groups were all killed, but four groups were able to survive the slaughter.

Now it is current day and the four groups are still alive, spread all over the world. Their origins forgotten by everyone except them. They live among the average masses, but they still serve their original purpose. But they also serve another one. The four groups know that the others are still in existence and they will stop at nothing to stamp the others out so that their ninja way would be the only one taught.

Our RPG takes us to a place in America. Just a plain old urban city called Visel. But in this city the four groups coexist without knowledge that their enemies lives among them. This changes when a simple mission goes wrong and two groups are almost revealed to the public. Now ninjas from all over are coming to this place, ready to protect their teachings. But who will win the Ultimate Ninja fight and what happens when regular people are dragged along too?

Rules
1. No god-modding. It's just not a good idea to ever do.
2. It's teen so censor all cursing. We can't avoid having swearing when our characters are teen+, so censor all swears.
3. Romance is allowed, but it must be realistic. If a ninja crushes on an enemy ninja, more times than not they will be loyal to their clan though regret it. Angst will probably occur in this rpg.
4. Killing, it will happen here. But you must keep it teen and don't kill someone every five seconds.
5. If you want to kill a character tell me before you do it please.
6. We need not only ninjas, but normal people too. If you want someone who's not normal, but not a ninja or your ninja is different in some way, pm me about it before submitting the character.
7. Put "Who's side are you on?" in your first post to show you read the rules.
8. Let's be literate people. We are all educated people here. I'm sure we can write decent paragraphs.
9. I am busy some days and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Be respectful and help others who may have fallen behind.
10. You can have as many characters as you can handle, but don’t make like five ninjas. Be reasonable please.
11. Have fun people. I mean it's why we are doing this right? XD

**Here are the groups and what they are taught**

The Milieu Clan
They are the ninjas who sparked the idea of element control. Although they can't actually manipulate the elements, they have been taught ways that appear they can, though it's all based in science. They are pretty smart, but also strong too. If skilled enough they can use their body's own natural processes to change things, like making things melt from high body heat and vice versa. Because of this they carry different chemicals on them and usually fight using poison/explosion based weapons.

The Contrerolle Clan
They learn how to do unusual things with their body without hurting themselves. They are abnormally flexible, being able to bend or twist any part of their body. They are useful as spies. They have complete control over their body, being not only to bend it to their will, but to make it move faster or jump higher than though humanly possible (If fast and light enough they can appear to walk on water). They fight with chains, whips and their own fists at times.

The Cajolery Clan
They aren't strong fighters as they are smart. They use both common sense, street smarts and book smarts to accomplish their missions. They are skilled tacticians and willing to do whatever is necessary to meet their goal. They are seducers too, using charm and beauty and other likeable qualities to get close to people before killing them. Their weapons are usually ones they can conceal on person like knives, small guns and throwing stars.

The Duress Clan
They are the pure brute ninjas. They attack with pure force and don't hold back. They learn mind over matter, being able to handle injuries or any type of harm/force better than normal people. Like if they break a leg during a mission they can push pass the pain to keep going for some time. They know the body very well and use that knowledge to their advantage. They aren't as sneaky or fast as the others, but they do the best in fights most of the time. They use any kind of weapons, but mainly swords, clubs, daggers, and their fists.

Ok all ninjas are faster than regular people and most time smarter too or at least more observant and quick to figure out a strategy. They will be skilled in at least one weapon and be like ninjas should sneaky. You know abilities common to ninjas.

**Just incase anyone is wondering why the ages vary on what level your character is, I was thinking of how far develop someone should be before being able to handle difficult skills like taking a almost lethal blow and still be able to kill the person or complete contortion of the body. Once they reach about ten they have finished their training and are beginners, but I don’t think anyone was going to make a character below ten. Once they reach an age where they can be on the next level they have to get tested. Of course some ninjas can be at a higher level before reaching an age or below what they should be, so they might be ahead or behind, but I don’t want any thirteen year olds being uber ninjas or something. Be realistic please. Also the Leaders should be pretty old, but don’t have to be really old.**

Personality: Aline is a science geek which is common in his clan. But he doesn’t boost about his knowledge and doesn’t really have a huge sense of pride. He is a good natured person and gets along with almost anyone. Aline is use to people confusing his gender, although he gets annoyed about it. He’s pretty lazy and unless it’s necessary he doesn’t put too much effort into things. Still Aline is sharp and always prepared.
Background: Aline was born into a normal family and so for the first couple years in his life, nothing really exciting happened. This changed in the third grade. An older cousin of his, who happened to be a Milieu ninja, noted that science was his best subject. He told his Leader and Aline was recruited into the Milieu clan. At first the whole processed seemed to be too much for the young slacker, but his knowledge and passion in anything science helped him out. He got picked on because he looked like a girl, but it never really bothered him. When Aline was promoted to Beginner, he was given the alias Nodefgen short for ‘No definite gender’ which was kind of a joke. He claimed once that he actually liked the alias and thought it was funny. During the tests to become a Moderate Milieu ninja, Aline did well on all of them, except for combat which he was always fair in. But he was still able to be promoted. Since he had to hid the fact that he was a ninja, Aline told his parents that he was in a Science Club, although he wasn’t sure how well his lie would hold up. Aline has been sent on mission after mission lately because his superiors are trying to ‘toughen him up’, but now he is being sent to Visel to help his comrades there.
Skills: Aline is able to make various conations, though not as many as he will be able to make later. Still he is able to use chemicals to help him out whenever he needs it most of the time. He is also getting better at controlling his body's own natural processes.
Weapons: Uses enhanced firecrackers that act as small, less harmful bombs and cherry bombs too, some of which will freeze things on contact.

Personality: Marya is a nurturing kind of girl, which is weird for a fierce ninja. Still she tends to put her teammates and fellow clan members before herself and is always willing to help them out with anything. She is pretty strict as well, yelling at others (usually younger) when they do something wrong or don't follow by the rules. Still Marya isn't mean or all too motherly. She just wants everyone to be happy and so tends to get upset when someone does something that could lead to harm. Marya is very focused and straightforward in battle, not one for taunts or anything like that.
Background: Ever since she was young Marya has been overly flexible. When she was five she was at the top of her gymnastic class. She was chosen because of this, although there is a rumor going around that Contrerolle stole her from Cajolery, though when asked Marya will neither deny or confirm it. She was trained well and over the years, Marya became a skilled ninja. She worked hard to prove herself and became really close to the others in her clan since she grew up with just a mother. The other Contrerolle ninjas became her second family. Marya passed both of her tests with excellence, although she was not as good as some of the others. She now lives in Visel going to college and working in a Daycare.
Skills: Marya is extremely flexible and light on her fight as well. She hasn’t mastered walking on water, but she has mastered how to win a fight without throwing a punch just by dodging her opponent’s attack and wearing them out.

Charlie is somewhat of a rebel, not really caring about what people think about her and usually going against what her parents tell her. Still she is a very upbeat girl and always looking for a good time.
Background: Charlie was born into a small family as the genetic middle child. She had a near "perfect" older sister who was a skilled actress and did well in school along with a somewhat bratty brother with whom she is closer too. Charlie was always causing problems since she was young, from putting live animals in her teacher's desks to sneaking out to play with her friends, causing her parents to mistrust her. But her siblings usually had her back and helped her parents see that she wasn't doing any real harm. Still Charlie was marked as the "trouble child". She began to really rebel against her parents after her sister graduate. She is now in High School and on the newspaper which her parents made her do. They hope that her having something to do would make her less troublesome.
Skills: Charlie is sneaky, though not ninja sneaky. She also is pretty good at picking locks (from getting into teacher's desks and her sister's diary) and a good writer as well.

One day her mother somehow found out, Julian was five and her mother was planning to leave. But when Julian began showing more of her mother's traits; Climbing on furniture, jumping around, doing cartwheels in her room, Her father quickly realised and her mother fled, she was never seen again. From then on, her father would punish her until she stopped showing outward signs. But as soon as she could escape, She fled to the only place she could think of: the urban park. It was a place for free running, and she figured she could find somebody there. She was eventually taken in and by age 12 was an active member of the clan.

Personality: Kyle is outgoing, and always looking for new things to try out. He’s friendly, polite, optimistic, and hardworking. Unfortunately, he can be a little clueless and gullible sometimes.
Background: Kyle lives in one of the many apartment building in the downtown area of Visel. His mom was singer and a guitarist, and his dad was a retired heavyweight boxer who now worked as a repairman. Kyle was taught many things from his parents, and excelled at almost all of them. But without knowing what he wanted to do for himself, it was more like he just has a lot of fun hobbies, atleast that’s what Kyle claims it is. Recently his mom got a new gig with her friend and is off travelling, and his dad has been hitting the gym a lot more squaring off with old buddies, so he’s off on his own spending his days looking for work. He seemed to even out in school and got fairly good grades in all of his subjects.
Skills: Kyle is currently stuck between boxing and being a guitarist. He’s always been handy with tools, but doesn’t take much interest in it. He practices each one almost everyday, but only works with tools when his neighbor needs some help with her plumbing.
